(Detoxifying our thoughts)

Purpose: To secure a better quality of life while on earth.

The Issue to cover: Misperceiving the intentions and expressions of others.

The cause of misperceiving is embedded within the unconscious mind. For instance, without being a psychologist or a student or professional, within the field of psychology, we can observe the actions and consider the words spoken. 

To me, the unconscious mind is where we as humans birth perceptions (i.e., a spiritual sense) about a subject. When our perceptions are off, we experience mood swings, panic attacks, nightmares, and at times suicidal thoughts. Detoxifying our thoughts means we remove all traces of negative conscious thoughts. For example, meditating on the Word of God to eliminate the negative thought before reaching our unconscious mind is step one. The subconscious mind is conquered through our decision to trust that God will do as He promised. However, the Unconscious mind is beyond our ability alone to overcome. 

Brotherly Advice: 

Praying to God seems foolish, but it is the way God says to address things beyond our abilities. Have you ever tried calming yourself down only to make matters worse? Or, found yourself angry for no apparent reason? Without God's intervention, we are victims of our own thoughts and imaginations. In your prayer, ask and BELIEVE God's Grace is sufficient to render past memories powerless in your life. Then begin to visualize yourself using your talents to honor God and help people suffering as you were. Managing the withdrawals as you detox your thoughts is a daily activity of self-care and humble pie. Please note we all need help. Stop entertaining thoughts that are contrary to God's plan for your life. He said He has plans to prosper and not harm you (Jeremiah 29). Read the whole chapter.  It is your choice. The work is rewarding but not easy. Come out of depression in Jesus' name.
