Definitely goes to Sans for advice and probably rambles about the situation to him. To which Sans just replies ‘get them something memorable, or take them somewhere, like per se, the spot where you met. maybe a vacation?’ and it just all starts to click in Geno’s head.

Alright, so. Their plan is to 1. Take you to the very top of the mountain where they first saw the surface and have a peaceful picnic with you. 2. Buy some of your favorite snacks and a movie you like and eat some popcorn up in their room, and 3. Cuddle and fall asleep together. Perfect anniversary plan.

Still super nervous about how it will go, and isn’t the best at speaking to others. Papyrus and Sans may or may not tag along and make it slightly less peaceful and a little less like alone time between the two of you.

If that does happen, it makes the atmosphere somewhat excitable. Geno isn’t the happiest about it, mainly because they really just want to be alone with you and just bathe in each others company, but if you’re enjoying it, they’re enjoying it.

Logically, some things end up backfiring during the anniversary, but it’s the thought that really counts. And for you two, is all that really mattered in the first place.

Error Sans

I don’t see them really caring about anniversaries. But if you’re super into it, they’ll go along with it.

Not really for taking you anywhere? I think they prefer staying in their anti-void and sharing their bean bag with you while watching undernovela (tbh you should’ve seen this coming. come on, it’s error.)

Afterwards, they’ll open a portal to Outertale and you guys can just hang out and watch the stars. Will point out constellations for you and everything. Ink likes to follow you and Error around mostly because he’s genuinely surprised Error managed to get into a relationship with somebody and for this long too! You better bet Ink’s going to make ship art for you guys on your anniversary. Outertale paintings are his specialty., so expect to find a few art pieces near your date spot in Outertale.

Error is mildly embarrassed and flustered when they do find these drawings though.

The kind of monster to make you a tapestry or a plushie of themselves. Not used to giving people gifts so they’ll just throw them out you and scurry away like the rat bastard they are.

The anniversary isn’t remotely well put together but it’s a nice spending it with Error, so it cancels the flaws out.

Fatal Error Sans

He has a vague idea on what an anniversary is supposed to look like. After being in the save screen for so long and then having Error brutally mangle his code, you can imagine just what that shit does to your memory.

You’ll have to bring up the topic of a relationship anniversary for them to even remember that those things exist.

Very busy a lot of the time (killing Papyruses and multiple versions of Swap and piecing their code together to try to make themselves a new brother, yknow the drill) so might not actually even have an anniversary with you.

But you mean the world to him, so if you practically beg him to do something for your anniversary, he will eventually give in.

Again you’re probably gonna have to do a lot of the work. He’ll just go along with whatever you have in mind. He doesn’t mind.

The most they’ll do is steal get some snacks for you.

Might attempt to crochet or knit something for you with his red strings but he’s not that experienced. He’ll definitely learn for you, though.

it’s honestly quite simple, i’ve just been losing interest in most aspects of kpop aside from the music, which makes writing for it a lot harder than before. i also dealt with a lot of burn out for months and still forced myself to write which only made it worse. lastly, i’m an executive of two clubs at my school this year on top of all my classes, so finding time to write would be even worse than it was before :’) !

Most people would trade their life for this offer.”

Uninterested in his offer you set down your tea, “Yes, but I’m not ‘other people’,”You stood up and the scribe swiftly followed you as you ushered him to the door ”and my answer will be the same as always, no thank you.” You said as you closed the door behind him you let out a breath you didn’t know you were holding. 

“Archons, they're annoying,” You said under your breath, closing your eyes you let your neck fall. You didn’t know why you never accepted the invitation of a lifetime but the acidemia never felt like a place you belonged. All the students there are from the city while you were from the desert which made you feel lesser than the kids at the city. 

When you reopened your eyes you found a letter at your feet with the acidemia mark stamped on it. The guy must have slid the letter under the door. You thought while ripping it open. Sometimes in the letter the left small gifts like chocolate

We formally invite you to the celebration of the Academia’s senior students graduating, blah blah blah, we are so proud of them, blah blah blah, dinner will be provided, blah blah-! WAIT, FREE FOOD?! 

“MOM!”

When you arrived at the Academia you were greeted by a sage who showed you around the banquet and introduced you to graduating students. The sage told you about the benefits of coming to the school when he was interrupted by a woman with green eyes. Her outfit was similar to the other academia uniforms but looked altered. 

“Hello (blank), who’s this sweety?” She said as she put her hands on her thighs and bent her knees so she was eye to eye with you. 

“I’m (Y/n),” You said as you raised your hand.

“They are-,” The sage said but got cut off by the woman

She leaned back up and shook your hand “I know who you are, you're the kid that the Academia begging for you to join,” you nodded your head. “Well it’s wonderful to meet you, I’m Lisa. (blank) do you mind if me and (y/n) walk around for a bit?” 

“Actually, no-” He was cut off again by Lisa

“We’ll be back in an hour or two,” Lisa said as she placed a hand on your shoulder and pulled you away from the Sage. 

You didn't really mind being taken away Lisa, the sage was boring you so much you felt like falling asleep. Although Lisa seem different from the rest of the folks in the academia.  

You guys walked in silence for a bit until you decided to strike up a conversation. “So you’ve heard of me before?” 

She let out a soft giggle, “Hehe, yes I have kept in contact with some of my old colleagues of mine and they told me about the amount of trouble they are having getting some genius teen from Aaru Village to join the Academia.” 

“Really, I’m that famous?”

“I wouldn’t say famous, more that your name is tossed around in passing conversation.” You hummed in response. “But I do wonder what reason you would turn down the Academia?”

“There is nothing that the Academia will teach me that I already know, the most I could get out of it is a certificate, handshake, and four wasted years.” You started counting off the reasons on your fingers. “And I find a desk job boring, I want to live an exciting life.”

“Hm, well that’s as good a reason as any,” You two continued to talk while walking around, you found her conversations more interesting than those in the academia. Lisa later told you she was the greatest graduate from the Academia but worked as a librarian in Monstat. 

“Sigh, sadly the night has come to an end.” Lisa said. “Though I have enjoyed this talk, I hope to see you in the future little adventurer,” and then she winked at you and waved goodbye. 

Huh, strange lady. 

A week or two later…

You were walking around the academia looking for books on old Khaenri’ah tech, which you later found out all Khanrian text was banned from the main library, key word: main library. The books may be on the shelves of the restricted section rotting away. 

The reason you were looking for these types of books was because those books may had information on what they used to power the giant ruin guard. You may have thought that the giant ruin guard would use the same power device just bigger but you had looked inside the main frame where energy was being pushed to and instead of a chaos device you found a crystal gem that was not native to any gems in other nations. Which is interesting considering the- WAIT OFF TOPIC (Y/N). 

Archons, even in your head you can still go on and on about a topic. Anyways, back to the task on hand. 

After sneaking into the restricted section you searched and searched for at least 1 book on Khaenri’ah but you soon left the library empty handed. While you were wallowing in defeat you didn’t notice a tall sage with his nose in a book walking toward you. 

BUMP

“What the hell man, watch where you’re going!” You said pushing yourself from the ground. Surprisingly the man didn’t fall down and was just looking down on you while you were grabbing papers he dropped on the ground and took a quick glance at the paper. It labeled different plants and their properties for medicine, and you could find a bunch of mistakes from similar looking plants having the opposite names, the math was wrong on the dosage amount, and you guessed that the other papers were similar to this one paper.

“This is all wrong,”

“What?”

“It’s all wrong the dosage amount on the headache medicine would cause spasms to the person if taken all at once. You need to water it down. And the names of cedar and birch tree leaves are mixed up.”

He snatches the page from you and to his surprise you were right, he should have check the paper with Tighnari. He couldn’t believe he was getting corrected by some 14 or 15 year old kid. He may not have shown it but this hurt his ego.

Bonus!

While you were searching in the restricted library you heard the sound of shuffling books which were not coming from you. 

“Mm, ‘we have books about everything’. “ The person said in a mocking voice. “We have everything my ass.” 

Peaking your head around the corner you see a scruffy looking man with fluffy blue hair and red eyes. He had a mask covering his entire face but his eyes and left side of his lips. Suddenly his head snapped toward you. 

“You.” He pointed his finger towards you. You turned around to see if he was talking to someone else. But when you saw none you gave him a confused look and pointed towards yourself.

“Me?”

“Y-YES YOU, come here,” 

You didn’t trust this guy one bit. He looked like he smoked several naka weed cigs before he came here. But you still approached him slowly and when you were close enough he grabbed you harshly by the shoulder and pulled you two together.

“What’s your name?”

“Uh, (Y/n),”

“Good, good,” he said while slightly giggling “Now, tell me, do you see any old traditional rituals?”

“Uh,” You scanned across the bookshelf but didn’t find anything on rituals. ”No, I don’t.”

i feel like im playing the game right. unlike stardew, fields of mistria doesnt make me feel bad for not using every second of the day. i think fom has a nice balance between easy and not too easy

i kinda feel like im going slow and fast at the same time? time during the day passes in a blink of an eye but when i look at the calendar im like still halfway through the season. idk how to feel abt it yet

my time management is so bad 😭😭 im terribly forgetful so i'd like set a goal for the day and a second later i'd be like "wait what" but i dont usually mind cuz i dont feel rushed by the game at all which i really appreciate. i think that mistria places a huge emphasis of getting to know the people and i love that

i like a LOT about the game: the soundtrack (especially the mines music), the aesthetics, character sprites art, environment art, the art in general, i LOVE the characters so much, it feels like everyone has their own thing but you can't tell all of the stuff they're about immediately i think? like i didn't realize Holt made toys until i saw his station in his house, i love environmental storytelling <33 honestly i love that most of them are so kind to you, it's the kind of game i personally needed. i love that the combat is not a clicker and that u gotta watch how the monsters act to figure out the best way to defeat them, i love the set up, i love that the earthquake has lingering consequences on the town and the community. it's a lot of fun <33 ofc i have some criticizms too and stuff to improve but im too tired rnfjsndbd

OH AND THE LORE!!! i need to know more about mistria's lore. especially the magic and all that stuff thats goin on in the mines

i love all of the characters fr, my fav love interesrs are Ryis and Adeline. Ryis is just so sweet and kind and gorgeous, he loves birds, he's from a family of bakers, he has family with a lot of sisters in the capital that send him care packages with cookies, HE LOVES BIRDS (<- it was the thing that had me like "you're the one"bfjsnhdsnbd) just a disney princess type of guy

Adeline just got me in her palms and i'm not even sure why or how exactly yet but all i know is that i walk around her like a puppyfjsnbd she's such a nerd and i adore her, she loves doing paperwork and calls it a "party", she is the heir to the land and she loves taking care of it and its people but forgets to take care of herself and im just like *biggest wettest eyes at her* also pink hair. oh mh god

and like i think all of the other townies are so cool. I love the kids, theyre the cutest and i love seeing them around town doing their thing. i love that we have different models of families like. man i'm so excited for more stuff in this game

omg thanks for your response!! i feel like i relate to many things you said. i haven't played a farming sim before bc i didn't think i would like it. since i would prefer games w some kind of story or lore, i didn't think this game would be for me. really, i had no idea what to expect in the game

i feel like i'm also going slow and fast while playing! the day goes by so so quickly but i also feel like maybe i'm not doing enough. sometimes i'm thinking "why are my crops growing so slowly please grow faster!!!" but then i'm surprised w how quickly they grow. i get up and see my tomatoes and corn ready to be harvested. but for the most part, i feel like i'm going at it too slow. i'm almost done w summer but i just got magic

i relate to what you said about time management. there are some items on a task that i just couldn't find so i do another task. then i just entirely forget to search for that item (like i cannot find seaweed still). then literally TODAY i was in the mines for too long and had to rush home. the next in-game day i went to the mines earlier in the day to not make the same mistake.

the music in the game is amazing! i find myself humming along while playing or humming when i'm doing something else. i'm surprised that i even remember how the music goes. i've played totk for a bit but i can't remember a single song. i love how everyone has different seasonal outfits. i really like how celine has a different outfit in the early morning. (idk if other characters have a different outfit at that time i can't remember). i'm glad i could play the game bc i'm gonna be moving back to school soon and this would be a nice way to take a break from coursework.

i also like how most of the characters are nice to your farmer. i just cannot pick one favorite character. it's too hard for me to bc they are all so lovely 😭. i agree that the kids are cute! i try to give luc a bug each time i see him.

this really isnt fantasy but i feel like i was destined to be the kind, slightly off-putting maintenance man in a haunted apartment building that says cryptic things like "don't take the east elevator on a full moon" and "the air conditioning has made that noise since the fire in 12B"

Reason for writing?

words in head, need words out of head ok ok fine, serious answer. i feel like writing is both asking and answering the question, "have you felt like this before? has anyone ever felt like this before? am i alone?" and it's proof that you're not the first and only person to ever experience the things you're experiencing. even this made up guy in this pretend world understands rage and despair and joy and grief and love. the source is different but the result is the same. human connection, man. love it and! it's fun. im having fun

i loveee every comment i get fr fr, like they all have me giggling n kicking my feet n all that. in terms of specific comments, i love when readers mention any emotions a fic made them feel (bc i usually put extra time into the characters emotions so 🤞). but this one always makes me smile just bc of the phrasing 😭😭 like im so glad i made u feel all that

ooh i try to avoid repeated phrases tbh...im gonna put one of my longer fics in a word processor to see if there's anything i gravitate towards...okay that resulted in nothing im sorry. i think i just use whatever words the voice in my head tells me to, idk if i have any favs T_T

I have stopped using colored text for this exact reason!

I saw an advice list from another writer on tumblr, fml I'll find and tag them if I can, and one of the things they said was to avoid colored text because of this exact reason!

It impairs visibility, and the last thing I wanna do is make it hard not only for 20/20 vision but lower visibility as well!

That being said, I think I'll start to overhaul my old posts so their also non-colored, bc it sucks that you can't read them! >:/

I promise I only ever did this bc I wanted ppl to know if their favs were in that post, but I'll just be doing a better job with prefacing stuff like
