India’s First Reusable Launch Vehicle, ‘Pushpak’, Successfully Lands by ISRO
On Friday, the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) achieved a successful landing mission for its Reusable Launch Vehicle (RLV) named ‘Pushpak' from the Aeronautical Test Range (ATR) situated in Challakere near Chitradurga, Karnataka. ISRO chairman S. Somanath and other senior officials graced the launch site with their presence.
“Once again, ISRO demonstrates its precision! The winged vehicle, Pushpak (RLV-TD), autonomously landed with accuracy on the runway after release from an off-nominal position,” stated the space organization on X.
Pushpak's launch represents India's ambitious endeavor to enhance affordability and sustainability in space access.“Pushpak was hoisted by an Indian Air Force Chinook helicopter and released from an altitude of 4.5 km. Upon release, at a distance of 4 km from the runway, Pushpak autonomously navigated towards the runway while making cross-range corrections. It executed a precise landing on the runway, utilizing its brake parachute, landing gear brakes, and nose wheel steering system,” stated ISRO.
The design of the Pushpak RLV encompasses an all-rocket, fully reusable single-stage-to-orbit (SSTO) vehicle, integrating key elements inspired by the X-33 advanced technology demonstrator, the X-34 testbed technology demonstrator, and the upgraded DC-XA flight demonstrator.
The launch signifies the third flight of Pushpak, succeeding a series of tests focused on refining its robotic landing abilities amidst progressively challenging scenarios.
Having been in development for more than ten years, the project achieved a significant milestone in April of last year, when the vehicle showcased its autonomous landing capabilities following its release from an Indian Air Force Chinook helicopter. This marked a significant advancement for the Pushpak RLV, advancing its progress towards attaining orbital re-entry capabilities.
Named in honor of the mythical ‘Pushpak Viman' from the Ramayana, Isro's contemporary aircraft embodies themes of prosperity and innovation.
The winged technology demonstrator RLV has been designed to serve as a flying test platform for the assessment of multiple technologies, including hypersonic flight, autonomous landing, and powered cruise flight.
With an investment surpassing Rs 100 crore, the project not only highlights India's technological expertise but also lays the groundwork for future initiatives, including the ambitious endeavor to establish the Bhartiya Antariksha Station by 2035.
Prime Minister’s Visit: Briefing on Pushpak’s Development

‘Pushpak’ at 35: A sit down with legendary filmmaker Singeetam Srinivasa Rao
‘Pushpak’ at 35: A sit down with legendary filmmaker Singeetam Srinivasa Rao
An unemployed man gets ready for a potential job interview. He waits in a never-ending queue in front of a board that says, Temporary Vacancies. Bogged down by restlessness and poverty, he cuts the queue taking somebody else’s place, only to be pushed back to the fag end of the line. He repeats the same, when the man takes, rather, steals a wealthy person’s identity and decides to live a luxury…

Pushpak x Hanuman aroace duo hcs?? :33
LESSSGOOOO
What these two have is BROMANCE. Like these two invented bromance in that era.
– Whenever Pushpak is unable to go to Ayodhya to deliver flowers, ofcourse Hanuman is the one that visits him to get them
– Pushpak was the one that introduced Valmiki and Hanuman, and then the entire ‘Hanuman destroying his version of Ramayan because Valmiki will feel sad’ happened
– They like to dance around eachother whenever they meet
– Practically inseparable once they are together (ofcourse when Ram is busy and isn't around because once he is there everyone just gushes about flowers together)
– EPIC PRANKS on everyone, especially Lakshman
(have you seen those reels on Instagram where one family just keeps throwing shaving foam mixed water at eachother as a form of prank? Yeah that one but with flowers)
– The kids usually joins in pranking the adults. And Shatrughan joins when they are especially pranking Lakshman
– Once Ram's entire courtroom was a sea of flowers (nobody knows where that amount of flowers came from) and poor guy had to cancel the Rajsabha that day. He wasn't angry though cause he's as big of a flower maniac as them....
– Hanuman knows Pushpak is Vasant, Vasant knows Hanuman is Shiva
– Hanuman roams around Ayodhya and finds out if anyone is still bad mouthing Sita (or Ram) then informs Pushpak. Somehow that person's house is very mysteriously flooded with flowers by the next morning..
– President and Vise President of “Shri Ram fanclub” (Lakshman is the founder ofcourse)
– (I just really like Artist Bharat ok!! Artist to Artist feelings..) Both of them along with Bharat goes on monthly picnics, where he tries - key word “tries” - to teach the other two how to paint. Pushpak provides organic natural paints made from flowers..
– Initially Hanuman gave mandatory flying piggyback rides to just the kids, but Pushpak is no less kid (at heart) so he joins in. He didn't really want to but Hanuman just put him on his back and went weeeee (I know not everyone thinks he flys because in some versions he does and in others he just jumps really high, AGAIN I JUST REALLY LIKE FLYING HANUMAN OK!!)
– ALSO Pushpak is the only one who calls Hanuman Maruti.
Hanuman: Pushpaaaaakkkk
Pushpak: Maruuutiiiiiiiiii
Hanuman: Pushpak!
Pushpak: Maruti!
Hanuman: Pushpak!
Pushpak: Maruti!
Everyone else:
This one is different BUT I am Bengali so I will add it ofc huehuehue
– That time Hanuman was searching for blue lotuses, Pushpak helped him find them. Hanuman didn't knew him back them but he was in a hurry so he let him help.
– Durga came from behind Pushpak and put her hands on his shoulder (in a comical anime way) and went “Take one back”. Poor boy was so scared he yelped and fell down. Then magically made one lotus disappear ofcourse...
Tell me what I missed...

namaskaram andi!! just discovered your blog, i cant believe how it took me so long to find the telugublr community, but I'm glad I'm here now!
i love the movie references everywhere (as you can probably tell by the mass reblogs lol)
I'm absolutely going to learn written telugu from your posts so thank you!! (mataladatam vocchu kaani i never learnt the alphabet) ( I've learnt kannada alphabet though, so i can make out some letters, but I'm veeeerry slow in reading telugu lol)
i just finished hi nanna and loved it, some all time favourite telugu movies are son of sathyamurthy, dookudu, ala vaikuntapurramulo, oh baby, ninnu kori, nani's gentleman, ready, orange, bommarillu, oopiri and sitamma vakitlo sc (stopping here bc the list is getting long)
tell me about your favs!! I'm supposed to be neck deep in study season right now, but i cannnot wait to discuss telugu media with you
Hi amma! It's ok, you're here now and that's what matters! Hope you're strapped in because we're generally a calm community but some people *glares at me* are feral about some Telugu vishayalu.
Love me a fellow reference fan! Meedi Tenale maadi Tenale! I use them so much irl that I think others feel like I'm speaking in a new language or something. The disadvantages and advantages to being witty.
I'm glad you want to learn written Telugu. It's such a "vinasompu" language already and learning to read just makes me feel at peace.
Chittamma, I made an entire google doc about the films I liked (linked in my intro post), you need NOT stop with yours believe me. Because I'm full of love and opinions about telugu cinema. (I feel like S/O Satyamurthy and A... Aa! are the last Trivikram movies I could stomach. I bawled my eyes out in Oh! Baby like Buddy in Manam with DDLJ. I can practically recite Bommarillu, I'm just that talented. Nani's films are mostly good in my eyes and I wish I was in the writer's room for Hi Nanna. Ready and Dookudu are always on my dad's list and mine for comedy.
My favs are all over the place really. *pulls out a really long list* Let's see what we have... We have Malliswari- old and semi-old, Mayabazaar (only and only the old one, the old one), Missamma (ditto), Oh Baby, Shyam Singha Roy, ANAND, GODAVARI!!!, Julayi, A... Sudarshana Chakra
(The Wheel of Auspicious Vision)
The Sudarshana Chakra legend that is recounted is the one in which Vishwakarma, the architect of Gods diminished the shine of Lord Surya, the Sun God. Vishwakarma's daughter was married to Surya, but could not go near Him as it was difficult to endure His scorching brilliance and heat. So Vishwakarma had to reduce the intensity of the Sun by churning him. This created a Sun dust from which Vishwakarma created a few powerful golden objects, including the Sudarshana Chakra. Other weapons were Trishula and Pushpak Vimaan which were respectively the weapons of Lord Vishnu, Shiva and Lord Kuber. Lord Vishnu holding Sudarshana Chakra is worshipped as Chakrathazhwar, Sage of the wheel.
When Lord Krishna took incarnation, Shri Vishnu gave him this chakra which he could use immediately at any time, it was his own property. During Samudra Manthan, Lord Vishnu used the Sudarshan chakra to cut through the demon Swarbanu who then became Rahu and Ketu. During Daksha yagna it was used by Shri Vishnu to cut burnt Satis body into 51 parts which fell on earth and became Shakti Peeths, holy places for worshipping goddess Shakti.
1- The Sudarshan Chakra has 108 serrated blades, and has the capability to travel several million yojanas (1 Yojana = 8 kms) at a blink of an eye.
2- It is not thrown at anybody, rather, by willpower, it is sent against the enemy. It has tremendous occult and spiritual power to destroy everything.
3- Once out of finger, it chases the enemy and never returns without achieving intended results.
Om Namo Narayana -- Jai Shri Vishnu

Who is Kuber the God of wealth?
Tumblr media
Wealth is revered in Hindu culture as a crucial component for the maintenance and preservation of life on Earth. Hindu Gods live in splendor and enjoy all of life’s pleasures. Money, according to Hinduism, is designed to reflect the greater good and progress of humanity, rather than evil acts. All Hindus venerate Goddess Laxmi as the goddess of wealth, fortune, and money. Kuber is known as the God of Wealth in Hinduism. Money, as we all know, is the cornerstone of a decent and joyful living in our world. Growing wealth is the result of good karma from the past. As a result, some people are affluent while others are poverty. Financial difficulties will injure you and prevent you from achieving your most important life objectives.
How to make Kuber happy? Get an online astrology consultation by the world-renowned Astrologer Mr. Alok Khandelwal.
The Hindu God linked with money, riches, and material goods is Kubera. Kuber does not generate riches, but he is thought to be the one who carefully distributes and protects wealth among the intended worshippers. Goddess Lakshmi is connected with wealth generation, while Kuber is frequently represented as a secondary god. He likes traveling aboard Pushpak, the flying chariot given to him by Lord Brahma. Aside from it, some manuscripts show Lord Kuber holding a mace, a pomegranate, or a treasure sack. He is commonly associated with the mongoose, and in certain accounts, he is also associated with the elephant. Hindus worship Lord Kuber, also known as Kubera, Kuvera, Kuberan, and Dhanpati, as the richest deity.
He is revered as the deity of wealth in Hinduism, Jainism, and Buddhism. Kubera is the King of the Yakshas and an ardent lover of Shiva in Hindu mythology. After countless years of penance, Shiva granted Kubera darshan with Goddess Parvati.
Kubera had never seen Goddess Parvati before and was stunned by her magnificence and beauty, which was adorned with gems. Goddess Parvati misinterpreted Kubera’s gazing for bad intent and cursed him by causing one of his eyes to rupture.
Kubera was now left with one eye, and he stated that he had looked because he had never seen such magnificent gold jewelry before.
Goddess Parvati recognized her error, and the one eye Kubera had lost grew but remained smaller than the other.
Shiva also made Kubera an Ashta Dikpala, guarding the northern direction.
He has designated the deity of prosperity and material goods by Goddess Parvati.

Another mythology claims that Kubera is Brahma's grandson.
According to this mythology, Kuber is a direct descendant of Lord Brahma said to be his grandson in some books. He is the son of Vishrava and Illavida. With Kauberi, they have four children (also known as Yakshi, Bhadra, and Charvi). People used to mock the world’s wealth custodian because of his overweight look. Kuber, disturbed, went to tremendous lengths to appease Lord Shiva.
Lord Shiva approached Him, delighted, and bestowed upon Him the blessing of being the guardian of all wealth, at which point all mankind began to adore Kuber. In Sanskrit, ‘Kuber’ means distorted or deformed. As a result of the name’s connotation, Lord Kuber is depicted as chubby and tiny. He has the color of lotus leaves and a variety of irregularities in his body structure. He only has three legs, eight fangs, and a single yellow eye. Lord Kuber, the wealthiest deity, is adorned with heavy jewelry and carries a jar or bag filled with gold coins.
He is also said to be Vaishravana, Ravana’s brother. But Ravana vanquished him and exiled his Pushpak Viman to the Kailash. It was here that he performed penance and received lord Shiva’s benediction.
Kubera is frequently shown holding a vessel encrusted with Navratnas. He is also shown as sprinkling gold.
There are several tales related to Kubera, the most well-known of which is associated with Lord Balaji or Venkateswara. Lord Balaji is reported to have borrowed money from Kubera to marry Goddess Lakshmi on Earth. However, the condition was that Lord Balaji not leave the world until he had repaid the sum. It is said that Lord Balaji is still paying interest on the debt to Kubera. And worshippers generously give to aid Lord Balaji.
On Thursdays, Kubera is worshipped alongside Goddess Lakshmi in various parts of India. During Diwali, an important puja is performed in honor of Kubera.
Lord Kuber is also regarded as the “Treasurer of the Gods.” He is the personification of wealth, success, and glory. Lord Kuber not only shares the universe’s wealth but also safeguards and secures it. As a result, Lord Kuber is also known as the riches guardian.

Vasant if he were on Ramayana
So this was @prettykittytanjiro 's idea and like I got so invested in it. Just imagine.
Vasant is a local village boy who was born as Pushpak (so let's say he's Vasant's avatar, in a way), who runs a flower shop in Turturiya with his father. His first meet-up with Ram is during his and Sita's wedding, where they ironically hired him for the decorations, and he just filled the entire place with flowers.
His second meet-up is when the royal trio comes to Turturiya. Ram recognizes him immediately and Pushpak does the same. They hug and the latter pleads them to come stay over in their house.
Pushpak as a flower freak soon comes to know of Ram's interest in making flower crowns, and he internally screeches to find a flower buddy. So they both start making flower headdresses and malas in their freetime, and Ram gifts Sita a mala and a crown each every night.
Others can continue the story :D
