What a tragedy it is... To live in a world where your mind is your worst enemy. To have it destroy you on the inside, yet a smile still merges on the outside. Oh what a tragedy to have a mind like mine. Sleepless night. Constant deep thoughts, worries, fear, pain, & constantly feeling like you're about to lose control. Screaming for help inside your mind begging to let it all out yet trapped inside. So many people are drawn to the love & care you tend to give. To have a heart so big & to love so strong, yet constantly hurt & always alone trapped inside your mind begging to be free, but with heart like yours that'll never be the case you see. To drown in your mind every day but able to grasp a short small breath to keep fighting on. It's a struggle every day, a constant war inside your head. Yet you fight on. Trying your best to not let it shown but the pains so unbearable & so many fear of the unknown. The tears they fall like rain every day & all that's left is a pain that never seems to go away. This is the life I live. This is my life you see. Forever I fight my mental illness even though I know I'll never be free.

CUERPO Y ALMA CIBERNÉTICOS

En el año 2145, la cibernética ha alcanzado su apogeo, y la sociedad se encuentra dividida entre aquellos que pueden permitirse mejoras cibernéticas y los marginados que luchan por sobrevivir en un mundo cada vez más desigual.  En este contexto, surge una figura misteriosa del "El Maestro del Silicio", un genio de la ingeniería cibernética que ha desarrollado un nuevo tipo de mejora: la integración total de cuerpo y alma en un entorno digital.

En este mundo, Alex Kell, un ex soldado con un pasado turbulento, que busca sobrevivir con todos los fantasmas de su pasado, particularmente la de su hermana violada y muerta por una banda criminal de mejorados cibernéticos.  En aquella mala vida en que estaba subsistiendo, tuvo un accidente en uno de esos trabajos temporales que tenía en la construcción.  Cuando una grúa deja caer accidentalmente unas grandes vigas de acero encima de él, estas las pasan a llevar y cae de varios metros sobre el suelo con las vigas aplastándolo.  Alex es llevado al hospital, grave y malherido.  Al ser operado y con los signos vitales frágiles, el robot cirujano falla en un corte donde destruye un órgano vital, quedando al borde de la muerte, sostenido para vivir por medio de una máquina.  En ese instante, Alex es rescatado por El Maestro del Silicio, quien le ofrece una oportunidad única: convertirse en un guerrero cibernético definitivo con la capacidad de entrar y salir del mundo digital a voluntad.  Él desesperado mira con los ojos saltones al Maestro del Silicio y mueve la cabeza, respondiendo de manera afirmativa.  Esta decisión lo llevó a su invención definitiva llevada a cabo de la mano del Maestro del Silicio. Pedazos de su humanidad eran reemplazados por tecnología; ya no era solo hombre.

Ahora, Alex fue bautizado como un proyecto definitivo en mejoras cibernéticas al que llamaron "Sombra Eco", con el poder suficiente en sus manos y la capacidad de navegar por internet más rápido que cualquiera.  Mientras se recuperaba en la sala de operaciones de la guarida del Maestro del Silicio, empieza a tener el terrible sueño en donde rememora el día en que su hermana era violada y asesinada por la pandilla.  Era el día en que regresaba a casa tras un permiso. Llevaba su uniforme, encontró a los sujetos abusando de su hermana.  Como a ellos les llevaba la ventaja de ser más fuertes que cualquier ser humano, lo obligaron a mirar hasta que su hermana murió malherida por el ataque.  Al despertar de aquella pesadilla, su imperativo emocional se centra por primera en buscar a los sujetos que mataron a su hermana, se levanta de la camilla violentamente, se saca las amarras y al ponerse en pie camina torpemente con sus piernas biónicas. El muro siente los golpes que ejecuta Alex con su fuerza aumentada, con lo que derriba el muro y sale a un callejón, donde cae una lluvia a torrenciales.  Alex, en medio del callejón, grita de una manera atronadora, casi de manera robótica, gracia a sus órganos cibernéticos; de ahí sigue su torpe caminata como si fuera Frankenstein recién renacido de la mano de este Dr. Frankenstein moderno.  La lluvia lo empapa y su mente estaba tan clara ahora, al encontrar a los asesinos de su hermana.

  Horas después, en un teléfono público en la calle, una mujer hermosa morena vestida con botas oscuras, jeans oscuros ajustados a su cuerpo, polera blanca, una casaca oscura y un pelo largo y desaliñado, contesta una llamada misteriosa. Del otro lado del auricular, la voz de un hombre que le pregunta: “¿¿ Eres Maira ??”.

Maira contesta: “¿¿ Quién la busca ??”

La voz contesta: “Soy el Maestro del Silicio”

Maira bromea: “¡¡ Sí, claro, y yo soy la reina de España, habla en serio o piérdete !!”.

La voz contesta: “Revisa el estado de cuenta, acabo de depositarte 500 créditos para que me busques a alguien”.  La chica revisa en su pad el saldo de su cuenta de banco y ve que tiene depositado 500 crédito.  Ella recapacita y empieza a tomarle enserio, de ahí le dice: “Bien, ahora tienes mi atención, ¿¿ a quién debo buscar ??”. Maira inquiere: “¿¿ Y por qué no llamas a la policía ??”.

La voz le replica: “¡¡ y te parezco alguien que pueda llamar a la policía !!”, necesito que lo ubiques, interviene las señales de radio, usa tu talento de hacker que está bien cotizado”.   Ella, aburrida de la conversación, acepta el trabajo y le cuelga.  En la cabina telefónica, saca su pad y empieza a revisar la internet hasta que de repente ve a Alex camina con menos torpeza en la calle, acercándose lentamente a un grupo de pandilleros con implantes cibernéticos.  Maira se queda atónita viendo la escena, llama por el teléfono público al último número que recibió por medio de un código de números que inserta en el conmutador, pero tono revela que la señal está saturada.  Para asombro de ella, ve como este hombre levanta a uno de esos pandilleros con una mano y lo arroja violentamente al piso, en ese momento, dos pandilleros sacan sus cuchillos para enfrentarse a Alex, pero cuando uno logra acuchillarlo, Alex no da evidencia de alguna reacción, golpea al pandillero que lo acuchillo golpeándolo contra el muro, el golpe le revienta al sien y lo deja muerto, cuando otro lo golpea con su implante de mano y al ver también que no le hace nada, Alex empuja al pandillero que lo golpeo dejándolo inconsciente, a unos metros los otros pandilleros le dispara a Alex, pero levemente se inclina hacia atrás en respuesta a las balas, en poco rato se acerca lo suficiente como golpear a los pandilleros, uno queda muerto en la calle y el otro es agarrado de la ropa y este le grita: “¡¡ Tu mataste a mi hermana, la violaste y me forzaste a ver !!”, el pandillero con miedo responde: “yo no me acuerdo de ti”.

Alex dice: “Yo sí…”, agarra al pandillero del cuello y se lo rompe, de ahí lo arroja al suelo.

En poco rato, giró su cabeza hacia Maira, que observó toda la escena aterrorizada.  Alex mira hacia dónde está Maira y se acerca lentamente.  La chica dentro de la cabina telefónica piensa que su vida está llegando a su fin.  De inmediato, llega el Maestro del Silicio y enciende un aparato que interviene el funcionamiento de sus partes cibernéticas, dejando paralizado al hombre.  El miedo de Maira se convierte en lástima y convierte su pad en otro aparato que interviene la señal del Maestro del Silicio.  Esto provoca que la conciencia de Alex viene y se va de un momento a otro, como si se jugara con el switch de encendido de una ampolleta.

En los adentros de Alex, aprovecha el tira y afloja de Maira con el Maestro del Silicio para conectarse a la internet.  Sus ojos ven los comandos que vienen.   Y de repente, se provoca un corto circuito en el cerebro de Alex y este cae muerto en la calle.  La escena quedó en el cadáver del atormentado hombre, descansando en paz.  Maira saliendo desesperada de la cabina telefónica para observar de cerca, y el Maestro del Silicio observando al hombre muerto, en medio de la calle, que es parte de una mega ciudad y de una gran red.

Pero la conciencia de Alex despierta, representado virtualmente desnudo en la red digital, donde su alma emigró a un cielo virtual, al fin siente paz y está en un nuevo mundo con cientos de nodos por explorar, la internet es su nuevo cielo.
