Purrl as the sona would just hiss! I don't think I'd shy away from using her to recreate a moment where I used a curse word in like a comic retelling or something but I'd probably censor it

Hello and welcome to The Fandom Newsletter THANKSGIVING SPECIAL! Boy do we have some delectable surprises for you!

First we have a story/poem that Blackpurrl has written, starring all of the Fandom Newsletter writers!

‘Twas the day before Thanksgiving, and all through the school, Fandom Newsletter was preparing something very cool. The chat room was filled with ideas galore, but they feared they needed just a little bit more. The writers were panicking, drawing a blank. They thought that all their ideas kind of stank. They wanted to apologize to all the readers for not updating in a while, but their hole just got deeper. When all of a sudden, Blackpurrl spoke up. “We could do a Thanksgiving special to bring their spirits up.” Fyne liked idea, and made it official. Purrl was forgetful, but sharp as a thistle. They discussed ideas as they walked down the hall, but they knew they needed the team as a whole. Atlas was on board, just one member to go, but YoursTruly had gone to San Antonio. Quicker than lightning, they emailed their friend. If she didn’t reply, it would be the end. YoursTruly wrote back, and she was on board! One point for the newsletter. They finally scored! Write, Atlas! Fyne, quit being sarcastic! Draw, Purrl! YoursTruly, please don’t make it graphic. They wrote like the wind, no time for joy or sorrow. “Remember, all of this is due noon tomorrow!” Determined to make it up to the readers, they worked all night long, snuggled up by their heaters. “We’ve done it!” They cried. “We’re not on their hit-list! And just wait ‘till they see what we’re planning for Christmas.”

And now to YoursTruly for some advice for the holidays.

Thanksgiving is a day to celebrate everything we’re grateful for. Let the people you appreciate in your life know how much you love them. Spread a little love, make the world a little nicer. Happy Thanksgiving from everyone here at the Fandom Newsletter.

I'm gonna go out on a limb and say the first thing that came to mind, my copy of pokemon pinball on the GBA! that game has made me... so many memories, so happy, such a staple in my life and such a niche game i love it so much and would be devastated if anything happened to it

@zzazztrainer actually there is! the weird part is that they gave the toes definition because you'd generally do it one way or the other, but i'd assume it comes from the more classic way to do a plush instead of modern where you draw the whole foot shape from the side usually connected to the body (which it looks like it is) and then just sew the two halves together sorta like a sandwich

this is consistent with its arms having their line in the middle too, it'd be two halves the same way and go down into the underside as well. what makes this weird is the COLOR? there's no need to have done the foot shape this way when the seam could be on the darker purple part, so my thought is MAYBE there's a master pattern that looks like above and they just.. cut into it into another color, attached it, and then sewed it together as originally intended.

kinda like this??? but the only reason you'd do that (in my opinion) is to give depth to the foot, which the addition of individual toes.... does.. so there's no reason to do it like this xD

something i didn't anticipate when learning to make plushies was now being painfully aware of the sewing lines that people draw on their stuffed toy OCs being accurate or not

I do actually! I had a big rough patch of computer hardware issue and my old mouse unable to work and all that but I bought a new one of the same model as my first and it’s been serving me well. The only thing that’s changed is that now I use Fire Alpaca to draw instead of Gimp!

Hey Purrl, apparently you designed a character called Starlin in one of Lollitree’s OC worlds, would you mind sharing a bit about them?

sure! I can’t be as elaborate or provide doodles like lolli does but basically starlin is just a self-insert I begged for in her world xD 

its just another purrlsona and it was so many years ago I helped come up with her design I don’t actually remember much of what we came up with, lolli’s recent resurfacing of the project though has had both of us randomly coming to each other and providing details we remember about it. All i know is that she supposedly had a really special/powerful ability like getting people to believe whatever she said or do what she told them to do or something like that and the guy who she’s niece's to was planning to use that for evil plans

you’re right it has been a while! Simplicity is still going, slowly, we’ve got very few members right now so if anyone’s interested in getting in on the action and kickstarting a new era of characters now’s the time!

I’ve mostly been working on creating a D&D campaign for some of my friends irl, who follow me on tumblr which is why I haven’t been talking about it openly since that would be spoiler central. I’ve been trying to re-teach myself to draw regularly by using firealpaca but I’ve also returned to uni as of last summer! So my focus has been mostly on school than remembering to update my followers on things.
