These entries were written in 2016 just before the Presidential election between Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton.

I had gone to see a movie Called Purge: Election Year.

The following is an edited version of my journal entries from 7/22/2016 and from 9/9/2016:

The movie "Purge" was great! X. cellent! About 30 others there---they were young, mostly non white. Great. Hope that the movie revs up the young people who saw it up. There is something wrong here in America. Where were the older people, the white older people? Why weren't they at the movie? I guess that I saw it for them.

The movie was about what MAC was talking about, the Government exterminating the fringe people. Including me, an extreme fringe-ee. The movie had perfect pre Presidential election timing.

I loved how "The Purge" movies began with a pulpy concept with a sprinkling of satire and the odd mainstream rennaissance/reinvention of the magnificent Ethan Hawke, then IMMEDIATELY embraced B-Movie and biting, vicious satire, skewering race, class, faith, violence and American society over its sequels. What a Trojan Horse, touche movies.

Plus, Frank Grillo. And Frank Grillo having punch dagger fights with a Neo-Nazi in a car park. (The First Purge isn't as good, but has its moments: namely a villain dressed like The Gestapo hunting black people through corridors)
