I am trying to become
easier to impress
#it takes so little to impress me these days#you do a craft? WOW#you have a struggle? WOW#you enjoy an activity? WOW#it is a much more joyful way to live than the way I lived when I was smaller where I made myself unimpressed by almost everything#because I had to be the best in my own mind#I still struggle sometimes with getting UnimpressedTM#pulling Eh Don't Care over me like a cloak or a shield#but! there is much to be impressed with in the world!#I can't stop thinking about that one quote that addiction is a constricting of things that give you joy#and growing up / healing is an expansion of things that give you joy#and that's been true. for instance I used to hate clowns. I like clowns now and am researching the history of clowning this summer#but ANYWAY#the quote also applies to what you get excited about *for* other people#this brought to you by my new friend saying she wants to sew an apron and me having a solid minute of pure OH WOW SO COOL
