A/n: Okay, it's a lot..The Request you can find here.
The first few weeks after Lila, Jacob, and Mia moved in were an emotional whirlwind. Mia adapted quickly, her boundless energy and cheerful nature filling the house with light. She often clung to you and Natasha, seeking your warmth and affection, while Jacob remained quieter, but slowly began to open up. But Lila..Lila was different. You and Natasha had expected some challenges. Lila was, after all, fifteen and had been through more than any teenager should. But as the days turned into weeks, it became clear that Lila's walls were still firmly in place, and she wasn't ready to tear them down anytime soon.
Natasha, who had taken on the role of disciplinarian, had set clear boundaries from the start. She was strict but fair, and the kids quickly learned that pushing those boundaries or talking back wouldn't get them very far. Lila start to respect Natasha, yet there was still a certain distance, an unspoken agreement that Natasha wouldn't push too hard as long as Lila didn't push back. But you..you were also different. You were the heart of the family, always warm, always understanding, always trying to reach Lila with kindness and patience. And that's where the problems began. Lila wasn't ready for that kind of affection, not from someone she still saw as a stranger, and her rejection often manifested in anger. It had been a long day, filled with the usual ups and downs of settling into a new routine.
Natasha had just returned from work and found you in the kitchen, preparing dinner. The tension in the air was palpable, and Natasha could sense that something was wrong. "What happened?" Natasha asked gently, stepping beside you and placing a hand on your back. You sighed, your shoulders sagging slightly. "Lila and I had another argument.." you admitted, your voice tinged with frustration and sadness. "She shut me out again, and when I tried to talk to her about it, she just..exploded." Natasha frowned, her protective instincts kicking in. "What did she say?"
You hesitated, clearly reluctant to relive the exchange. "She told me to stop pretending I care, that I'm not her real mother, and that I don't understand anything she's been through." you said quietly, your voice cracking slightly. Natasha's heart ached for you, knowing how hard you had been trying to connect with Lila. She wrapped her arms around you, pulling you into a comforting embrace. "I'm sorry, Detka.." Natasha murmured, her voice filled with empathy. "Lila's hurting, and she's taking it out on you because she doesn't know how else to cope."
"I know." you whispered as you leaned into Natasha's embrace. "But it's so hard, Nat. I just want her to see that we love her and that we're here for her. But no matter what I do, it feels like I can't get through to her." Natasha tightened her embrace, her heart breaking for the woman she loved. "You're doing everything right." she said gently. "It's just going to take time. Lila's been through a lot, and she's scared. She's not used to people being kind to her without expecting something in return."
You nodded as you tried to hold back your tears. "I'm so proud that the kids are bonding with you, especially since you were the one who was most worried about it. But..I can't help feeling like I'm failing somehow." Natasha pulled back slightly, cupping your face in her hands and looking into your eyes with unwavering love. "You're not failing." she said firmly. "You're the heart of this family, Y/n. The kids are struggling right now, but they will open up. And when they do, it will be because you never stopped believing in them."
You sniffled, a small, sad smile tugging at your lips. "I hope so." you whispered. "I really hope so." At that moment, you both heard a door slam upstairs, followed by the sound of quick, stomping footsteps in the hallway. Natasha sighed, knowing that Lila was in one of her moods again. She pressed a quick kiss to your forehead. "I'll go talk to her." Natasha said gently. "You can finish up here, okay?" You nodded, grateful for Natasha's support. "Thank you." you whispered. Natasha gave you a reassuring smile before heading upstairs. She found Lila in her room, sitting on her bed with her arms crossed, her expression set in a defiant scowl. “Hey..” Natasha said, her voice calm but firm. “We need to talk.” Lila looked up, her eyes flashing with anger. “What?” she snapped. “What now?”
Natasha wasn’t fazed by Lila’s hostility. “You need to stop taking your anger out on Y/n.” she said, her tone measured. “I know you’re going through a lot, and I know you’re hurting, but she is trying to help you. She doesn’t deserve to be treated like this.” Lila’s expression faltered for a moment, a fleeting look of guilt crossing her face before it hardened again. “I didn’t ask for her help.” Lila muttered, her voice full of bitterness. “I didn’t ask for any of this.”
“I know.” Natasha responded, her voice softening. “But this is your reality now. We are your family, and we’re here for you, whether you like it or not. Y/n cares about you, and she’s trying so hard to make this work. You need to meet her halfway.” Lila looked away, her jaw clenched tightly. “I don’t need a new family.” she mumbled, her voice barely audible.
Natasha sighed, feeling the weight of Lila’s pain. “Maybe not.” she said quietly. “But that doesn’t change the fact that you have one now. And part of that family is Y/n. She’s not trying to replace anyone in your life, she just wants to be there for you.” Lila didn’t respond, but Natasha could see the inner conflict in her eyes. She was struggling, torn between her fear of being hurt again and her deep, unspoken desire for closeness.
“I’m not asking you to change overnight.” Natasha continued, her voice gentle. “But I’m asking you to try. Give her a chance. She’s not going away, and neither am I.” Lila’s shoulders slumped slightly, the fight gradually leaving her. She said nothing, but Natasha knew the message had been received. It would take time, but Natasha was willing to wait, to keep pushing until Lila was ready to let them in.
“Okay.” Natasha said softly as she slowly moved toward the door. “Take some time to cool off. We’ll talk later.” She left Lila’s room, her heart heavy from the weight of the conversation. She knew this wasn’t the end of the struggle, but she hoped it was a step in the right direction.
When Natasha returned to the kitchen, you were setting the table for dinner, your expression a mixture of sadness and determination. Natasha walked up to you, wrapped her arms around your waist, and rested her chin on your shoulder. “How did it go?” you asked quietly as you leaned into Natasha’s embrace. “It went as well as it could.” Natasha replied, her voice filled with quiet confidence. “She’s still hurting, but I think she’s starting to understand that we’re not going to give up.”
You sighed and closed your eyes for a moment. “I just wish I knew how to help her.” you murmured. “You’re already helping her.” Natasha said gently. “Just by being here, by being patient, by showing her love even when she pushes you away. It’s not easy, but you’re doing exactly what she needs.”
You nodded, your heart still heavy, but you felt a renewed sense of determination rising within you. “I’m not going to give up..” you whispered. “I won’t give up on any of them.” Natasha smiled, kissed your cheek. “And neither will I.” she said softly. “We’re in this together, Y/n. We’ll make it through, one day at a time.”
Months passed and Mia had quickly settled in, her cheerful nature and boundless energy bringing a light into the house that you and Natasha greatly appreciated. Jacob, though quieter, had also begun to open up and was gradually finding his place in the family. Since you allowed him to buy his own things, you both stumbled over piles of books every day,. But Lila? She was still struggling. The walls she had built around herself remained firmly in place, and despite all of your and Natasha’s efforts, she seemed determined to keep you both at a distance. It was a constant source of tension in the house, especially between Lila and you, as you bore the brunt of Lila’s anger and frustration.
One evening, Natasha was in the kitchen preparing dinner, while you were just on your way to join her. Mia was sitting at the table, doodling on a piece of paper, and Jacob was nearby, quietly reading a book. The atmosphere was calm, a peaceful routine that you had worked hard to establish. As Natasha stirred a pot on the stove, she heard Mia’s small, sweet voice call out, “Mommy, can you help me with this?”
Natasha’s heart skipped a beat, her hand pausing mid-motion. She turned to see Mia holding up her pencil with a confused expression, waiting for Natasha to come over. It took Natasha a moment to process what she had just heard. Mommy..Mia had called her mommy! The word hit Natasha like a wave, the weight of it filling her chest with a mix of emotions she wasn’t prepared for. She had been so focused on making sure the kids felt safe and loved that she hadn’t expected this moment hadn’t expected one of the children to call her by that name.
“Mommy?” Mia repeated, looking up at Natasha with wide, innocent eyes. Natasha blinked, quickly collecting herself and forcing a smile. “Of course, sweetheart..” she said, trying to keep her voice steady as she walked over to the table. She crouched down next to Mia and helped her with the drawing, but her mind was spinning, her heart filled with a mixture of joy and vulnerability.
You noticed the change in Natasha’s demeanor, how her eyes were a little brighter than usual, and you knew what had happened. You reached out, placing a comforting hand on Natasha’s arm and giving her an encouraging smile. Both of you had been waiting for this moment, and now that it had come, it was as overwhelming as it was beautiful. But the quiet joy of the moment didn’t last long. As Natasha returned to the stove, she heard the front door slam shut. Her heart sank, knowing that could only mean one thing. Lila was home.
You sighed, your expression growing more serious as you stood up. “Let me handle this.” you said quietly, knowing it would likely lead to another confrontation. Natasha looked at you sympathetically. “Do you want me to come with you?” she offered, knowing how difficult these moments were for you.
But you shook your head, determination in your eyes. “No, I need to do this.” you said gently. “She needs to know that I’m not going anywhere, no matter how much she tries to push me away.” Natasha nodded, watching you with a mix of admiration and concern as you left the kitchen and headed upstairs. She could hear the music blasting from Lila’s room, a clear sign that she was trying to shut out the world.
You knocked on Lila’s door and waited for a response that didn’t come. You took a deep breath, opened the door, and stepped inside. Lila was sitting on her bed, earbuds in, her face set in a grim expression as she stared at her phone. She didn’t even look up as you entered. “Lila.” you began, your voice calm but firm. Lila didn’t react, her fingers angrily tapping on her phone as if to drown out your voice. You moved closer and gently placed a hand on Lila’s shoulder to get her attention.
“Lila, please.” you said, your voice softening. “Can we just talk?” In that moment, Lila exploded. She ripped the earbuds out of her ears and turned to you, her eyes blazing with anger. “leave me alone!” she snapped. “Stop pretending you care because we both know it’s not true!” You recoiled slightly, the words hitting you like a physical blow. But you didn’t back down. You had heard this before, you had felt the sting of Lila’s rejection countless times. But you weren’t going to give up, not now, not ever.
“That’s not true.” you said, your voice trembling but determined. “I care about you. We both do. And I’m not pretending. I want you to feel safe here, to know that this is your home.” Lila scoffed, crossing her arms over her chest in a defensive posture. “Home? This isn’t my h-home. It’s just another place I’m stuck until you decide you don’t want me anymore..!” Your heart broke at Lila’s words, at the deep-seated pain and mistrust they revealed. You knew Lila had been through so much, that she had every reason to doubt the stability of her situation. But that didn’t make the words any less painful.
“That’s not going to happen.” you said, your voice filled with quiet resolve. “We’re not going to give up on you. No matter how hard it gets, no matter how much you try to push us away, we’re here. And we’re staying.” Lila’s eyes flashed with anger, her voice rising in frustration. “Why? Why do you even care? I’m just a burden to you, right? You’ve already got Jacob and Mia, so why do you even need me?” Lila finished, her voice cracking under the weight of her emotions.
Your eyes filled with tears, but you fought to keep them from falling, refusing to show Lila just how much her words hurt. “Because you’re part of our family!” you said, your voice trembling with emotion. “You, Jacob, and Mia, you’re all part of our family, and that means we love you, no matter what.” For a moment, Lila seemed to waver, her anger flickering as she looked into your eyes. But the years of pain and disappointment were too deep, too ingrained. She shook her head, her expression hardening again. “I don’t need your love..” she muttered, turning away from you. “Just leave me alone..please..”
You stood there for a long moment, your heart heavy with the weight of the conversation. You wanted so badly to reach Lila, to break through the walls she had built around herself. But you knew that it wouldn’t happen overnight. It would take time..time, patience, and a love that wouldn’t give up, no matter how much she resisted. Finally, you sighed and took a step back. “Alright.” you said quietly. “I’ll give you some space. But I want you to know that I’m here, whenever you’re ready.”
You turned and left the room, closing the door behind you with a soft click. As you made your way back downstairs, you felt the tears you had been holding back begin to fall. You quickly wiped them away, not wanting to break down in front of the children. When you returned to the kitchen, Natasha was waiting for you, her expression full of concern.
Without a word, she pulled you into a tight embrace, holding you close as the emotions of the day finally overwhelmed you. “You’re exactly what she needs, you know? She just doesn’t realize it yet. But she will, Y/n. I promise you, she will.” You clung to Natasha, finding strength in the quiet presence of your partner. Despite the challenges, despite the heartache, it was undeniably comforting to know that you weren’t facing this alone. You had each other, and that was enough to keep you going.
As the evening progressed, you both tried to push the tension aside and focus on the positive moments. Dinner passed quietly as Mia and Jacob chatted softly about their day at school. Mia, as always, was full of energy, telling stories about her friends and her new favorite game, while Jacob listened more than he spoke, but with a calmness that reassured you and Natasha that he was finding his way.
Lila, however, remained in her room, the door closed, shutting herself off from the world. Your heart ached every time you glanced down the hallway, wishing you could somehow reach through that door and pull Lila into the warmth of the family. But you knew it wasn’t that simple. Lila needed time, and more importantly, she needed to feel that she could come to you on her own terms.
After dinner, you and Natasha took the younger kids to bed. Mia was eager for her bedtime story, snuggling up to you with her favorite stuffed bear. As you read, her eyes slowly drifted shut, the words of the story lulling her into a peaceful sleep. Natasha tucked Jacob into bed, sitting with him for a few minutes as he quietly told her about a book he was reading. She listened attentively, offering encouragement and gentle advice, her heart swelling with pride as he began to open up more, sharing his thoughts and feelings in small but meaningful ways.
When the children were finally asleep, you and Natasha found yourselves alone in the living room, the house quiet except for the occasional creak of the floorboards or the distant hum of the refrigerator. You sat together on the couch, the weight of the day heavy on your shoulders. Natasha wrapped an arm around you, holding you close. “You’re helping them more than you realize.” she murmured. “Just by being here, by being patient. They been through so much, and they had to protect themselves for so long. And Lila maybe doesn’t know how to let people in, but she will. She’s starting to see that we’re not going anywhere.”
You nodded, though the doubt still lingered in your heart. “I just wish I could do more.” you said quietly. “You’re doing everything you can.” Natasha reassured you, pressing a kiss to the top of your head. “And that’s enough. We’ll keep being there for her, for all of them. And one day, Lila will realize that she’s not alone anymore.” You closed your eyes and let yourself relax in Natasha’s embrace. “Thank you.” you whispered, your voice full of gratitude. “For being so strong, for holding us all together.”
Natasha smiled, her heart swelling with love for you. “We hold each other together.” she said gently. “We’re a team, Y/n. And nothing will change that.” As you sat there, wrapped up in each other, the weight of the day began to lift. The challenges you were facing were real, and there would be more difficult days ahead, but there was also hope..hope that your love and determination would be enough to carry you through.
5 months had passed since the Kids had come into your lives, and while some things had improved, others remained heartbreakingly stagnant. Jacob and Lila had gradually opened up to Natasha, and over time, both had begun to call her “Mom.” She had never imagined herself in this role, but now that she heard those words, everything felt so much more real. But you still found yourself on the outside. Mia had also completely bonded with you, with the same boundless affection she always showed. But Jacob and Lila had yet to overcome that final hurdle. They hadn’t opened up to you in the same way they had with Natasha, and every time they called her “Mom” without including you, it chipped away at your heart a little more.
You tried not to let it show, tried to stay strong and hopeful. You knew that these things took time, and you didn’t want to rush them. But as the days turned into weeks, the constant reminder of your position on the sidelines began to wear you down. In this fragile time, you received an unexpected call from Nick. You and Natasha had all but retired from active duty, focusing on raising your new family. You had only agreed to take on missions when absolutely necessary, when no one else could do the job. But this mission was one of those cases. Fury’s voice was firm, almost apologetic, as he explained the situation.
“I wouldn’t be calling if it wasn’t absolutely necessary.” Fury said over the secure line. “But this mission requires your particular set of skills. We need both of you.” You and Natasha exchanged a look, both feeling the weight of the request. You had built a new life, a stable life for your children, and the thought of leaving them, even temporarily, felt like tearing apart the foundation you had worked so hard to build.
“We have a family now, Nick.” Natasha said, her voice strained with frustration. “You know that. We can’t just drop everything and go on a mission.”
“I wouldn’t ask if it wasn’t critical, Natasha.” Fury responded, his tone serious. “I know this is hard, but you’re the best we have for this job. If there were another way, I’d take it.”
You felt a lump form in your throat, the pressure of the situation bearing down on you. You had always known that this was a possibility, that your previous lives as Avengers could come back at any time. But now, with your family still so fragile, it felt like the worst possible timing. “How long?” you asked, your voice tense with emotion.
“Two days.” Fury replied. “We’ll have everything you need at the Compound. The kids will be safe and well taken care of.”
After a tense moment of silence, Natasha finally spoke. "We need to talk to the kids about this." she said, her voice resigned. "But we’ll do it." You looked at Natasha, the silent communication between you carrying the weight of your decision. You didn’t want to do this, didn’t want to leave your children, especially not when things were still so uncertain. But you also understood your responsibility, the trust Fury had placed in you, and the greater good you had always fought for.
That evening, the family gathered around the dinner table, the usual chatter quieter than normal. The weight of the day hung in the air, and even Mia seemed to sense that something was different. You cleared your throat and exchanged a glance with Natasha before speaking. "Kids, we need to talk to you about something important."
Mia’s eyes lit up with curiosity, while Jacob and Lila looked up from their plates, their expressions more guarded. "We got a call today from work." Natasha continued, her voice calm but tinged with a slight hesitancy. "There are some things we need to take care of." Mia’s excitement was immediate. "Are we coming too?" she asked, her voice filled with childlike wonder.
Natasha smiled gently and shook her head. "Not quite. You will come to work with us, yes. But we have to do the rest ourselves. You’ll stay there while we’re away, and we’ll be back as soon as we can." Jacob’s face brightened at the mention of the Avengers Compound. "Will we see the Avengers? The compound?!"
Natasha nodded, her heart aching at the thought of leaving them behind. "Yes," she said. "and we’ll make sure you’re safe and well taken care of while we’re gone." But Lila’s reaction was immediate and hostile. Her fork clattered against the plate as she dropped it, and her expression hardened. "So you’re just going to leave us there?" she snapped, her voice filled with anger and fear. "What if you don’t come back? What if this is just another way to get rid of us?"
Your heart sank at Lila’s words, the familiar sting of her mistrust cutting deep. "Lila, that’s not true." you said gently, trying to keep your voice steady. "This is just for the mission. We will come back, I promise you." But Lila wasn’t having it. She pushed her chair back and stood up, her eyes blazing with a mix of anger and betrayal. "That’s what you say now, but how do I know it’s true? You’re just like everyone else! Making promises you can’t keep."
Natasha reached out to Lila, her voice firm but gentle. "Lila, listen to me. We’re not like the people you’ve known before. We’re not going to leave you. This mission is something we have to do, but it’s just for two days. We will come back." Lila’s gaze fixed on Natasha, and for a moment, there was a flicker of vulnerability in her eyes. She opened her mouth to speak, but hesitated. When she finally did, her voice was quiet, almost trembling. "Mum, I don’t want you to go.."
The word hit Natasha like a blow to the chest. Lila had called her that a few times before, but the way she said it now, with such raw emotion, nearly broke her heart. Natasha wanted to hold her, to promise her that everything would be okay, but she knew it wasn’t that simple. You, standing beside Natasha, felt a sharp pang of pain. Lila had called Natasha "Mum" with such sincerity, and yet there was still a distance between her and you, a barrier that hadn’t been broken.
"We’ll come back, Lila." Natasha repeated, her voice firm but filled with emotion. "I promise you, we will come back." But Lila’s anger flared up again, defensive and protective of the wounds she still carried. "Promises mean nothing!" she snapped. "You’ll leave, and then you’ll realize you don’t want us anymore, and we’ll be right back where we started!"
Jacob and Mia watched in stunned silence, the tension at the table palpable. You felt the weight of the moment pressing down on you, the overwhelming feeling that no matter what you said, it wouldn’t be enough to ease Lila’s fears. She turned and stormed out of the room, the door slamming behind her and leaving a heavy silence in her wake. You stood there, your heart breaking as you stared at the closed door. You felt Natasha’s hand on your shoulder, a silent reassurance, but it did little to ease the pain in your chest.
Mia, ever the optimist, broke the silence with her soft, hopeful voice. "You’ll come back, won’t you?" she asked, her eyes wide and innocent. You forced a smile and knelt down to hug Mia tightly. "Yes, sweetheart." you whispered, your voice thick with emotion. "We’ll come back. I promise." Jacob, still sitting, looked at Natasha with a mixture of trust and uncertainty. "And you’ll be okay, right?" Natasha nodded and gently ran her fingers through his hair. "We’ll be okay." she said softly. "And we’ll come back to you. To all of you."
As the evening wore on, the atmosphere remained tense, the shadow of the upcoming mission hanging over you all. Natasha and you tried to maintain a semblance of normalcy, but the weight of the situation was impossible to ignore. Later that night, as you got ready for bed, you could no longer hold back your tears. You sat on the edge of the bed, your shoulders shaking as the emotions of the day finally overwhelmed you.
Natasha sat beside you, wrapping her arms around you, holding you close as the tears began to flow. You leaned into Natasha, your head resting on her shoulder as you let out all the pain and frustration you had been holding inside. "I don’t know what to do.." you whispered, your voice trembling. "This mission..I’m so scared that we’ll lose everything we’ve worked so hard for." Natasha tightened her embrace, her heart aching for you. She knew how much you had invested in this family, how desperately you had tried to connect with everyone, to be the mother they needed. But she also knew that some wounds took time to heal, and especially Lila’s wounds were deep.
"We’re not going to lose this." Natasha said firmly, her voice full of determination. "We’ve worked too hard, and we’re not going to let this mission take that away from us." You sniffled and wiped your eyes, trying to steady yourself. "I just wish I knew how to get through to them." you whispered. "Lila’s starting to trust you, and that’s wonderful, but I feel like.." You took a deep breath, trying to calm the storm of emotions inside you. "I want to believe in us." you said quietly. "But its so hard..."
Natasha kissed your forehead, her touch tender and soothing. "You don’t have to go through this alone." she whispered. "We’re a team, remember? We’ll get through this together." You nodded, feeling a glimmer of hope in your chest. "I know." you whispered. "And I’m so grateful for you, Nat. I don’t know how I’d get through this without you."
Natasha smiled, brushing a strand of hair away from your face. "You’d make it because you’re strong, stronger than you think. And we’ll make it through this, all of us, together." You sat there in silence for a while, holding each other close, finding comfort in the quiet strength of your bond. The challenges you were facing felt overwhelming, but there was a deep, unshakable love between you that kept you going.
After a while, Natasha spoke again, her voice gentle but resolute. "We need to talk to Fury before we leave." she said. "Make sure everything is set up for the kids while we’re gone. And we need to make it clear to him that this is the last time for a long time. Our family needs us here." You nodded, your resolve returning. "You’re right." you agreed. "This is the last time. We need to be here for the kids, especially now. They need to know they can rely on us."
"And they will." Natasha said, her voice firm. "We’ll do this mission, but after that, we’re done. Our family comes first." With that decision, you both felt a sense of calm settle over you. The upcoming mission still weighed heavily on you, but you now knew where your priorities lay, and you were ready to fight for what mattered most.
The next morning, you both rose early to make the final preparations. You called Fury and made it clear that this would be your last mission for the foreseeable future. Fury understood, and though his tone was brisk and professional, there was a note of respect in his voice. “We’ve got everything set up for you at the Compound.” Fury said. “And I’ll make sure the kids are well taken care of while you’re on the mission. Maria has come forward to take care of them."
With heavy hearts, you and Natasha packed your bags, the reality of leaving your children, even temporarily, weighing heavily on you. But you proceeded with a clear goal in mind, the knowledge that this step was necessary to ensure the safety and protection of the world, a world you wanted to safeguard for your children. Before you left, you gathered the children in the living room. Lila sat on the edge of the sofa, her expression wary, while Jacob and Mia sat close to their parents, their faces a mix of excitement and nervousness. Maria already waiting for them.
Natasha knelt in front of them, her voice calm and steady. “We’re leaving now.” she said, her heart aching as she looked into their eyes. “But we’ll be back soon. While we’re gone, you’ll be safe at the Compound, and you’ll have everything you need.” You reached out and gently touched Lila’s arm, your voice soft. “Lila, I know this is hard, but we will come back. We promised you, and we’re going to keep that promise.”
Lila didn’t respond immediately, her eyes focused on the floor. But when she finally looked up, there was a faint glimmer of something in her expression, something you couldn’t quite decipher. “Be careful, please.." Lila murmured, her voice barely audible.
Natasha smiled, her heart swelling with emotion. “We will.” she promised. Mia, always a bright light, hugged both Natasha and you tightly. “Don’t forget us!” she whispered earnestly. “Never.” you whispered back, your voice full of love. Jacob, who had been quiet until then, finally spoke up. “I’ll take care of them, mum.” he said seriously, his small face determined. “I’ll make sure they’re okay.” Natasha felt her heart swell with pride as she ran a hand through Jacob’s hair. “I know you will, buddy.” she said softly. “You’re so brave.”
After a final round of hugs, Natasha and you stood up, ready to go. You looked at your children, your family knowing that you were leaving behind what was most important to you. But you also knew that you would return. As you walked out the door, you glanced back one last time, your heart heavy but resolute. Lila stood in the doorway, her arms crossed, watching you with an unreadable expression. You wanted to run back, to tell her again how much you loved her, how much you would miss her, but you knew this was a moment Lila needed to process on her own.
Natasha and you got into the car, your hands finding each other as you drove away from the house. The upcoming mission was crucial, but equally important was the promise you had made to yourselves, to each other, and to your children. You would come back. And when you did, you would continue to fight for your family, no matter how difficult it became.
The mission briefing was straightforward but dangerous. A covert Hydra base had been discovered in the heart of the city, suspected of holding critical information about upcoming terrorist attacks. Natasha and you were assigned to infiltrate the base while Steve and Bruce took care of the outside world. On paper, it was simple, but both of you knew how quickly things could go wrong.
Natasha glanced over at you, her concern evident in the furrow of her brow. "We can do this. One last time." You met her gaze and forced yourself to smile confidently. "I’ve got your back, Nat. Always." Natasha shook her head, though the worry didn’t leave her eyes. "Just stay close. We go in, we go out. No unnecessary risks." You knew what she was really saying: Don’t be a hero. But that was easier said than done when it came to Natasha. You’d do anything to protect her, even if it meant putting yourself in danger.
The Quinjet landed on a rooftop a few blocks from the Hydra base. The city was always quiet, the only sounds were the distant hum of traffic and occasional gusts of wind. Natasha led the way, moving with the silent grace of a predator, and you followed closely behind her. You descended a fire escape and disappeared into the shadows as you approached the building. The Hydra base was hidden beneath an abandoned warehouse, a perfect cover in a city full of forgotten buildings. Natasha scanned the area, her sharp eyes catching the faint glow of surveillance cameras hidden in the corners. She signaled to you, and you nodded in understanding. You had to be quick and silent, any alarm would mean a swarm of armed Hydra agents descending upon you.
With her Widow’s Bite, Natasha disabled the cameras one by one, clearing a path to the entrance. Your heart pounded in your chest as you approached, the weight of the mission heavy on you. You couldn’t shake the feeling that something was off, that you were walking into a trap. But you pushed the thought aside and focused on the task at hand. You reached the entrance, a steel door with a biometric lock. Natasha pulled a small device from her belt, attached it to the lock, and watched as it began bypassing the security system. The seconds dragged on, each one filled with the suffocating silence of anticipation. Finally, the device beeped, and the door slid open with a soft hiss.
You slipped inside, the darkness of the corridor swallowing you whole. Natasha led the way, her senses on high alert as you navigated the labyrinthine interior of the base. The air was thick with tension, every step bringing you closer to the heart of the Hydra operation. You reached a large, dimly lit room filled with computer terminals and stacks of documents. Natasha’s eyes locked onto the central console, where a data drive was inserted. "This is it." she whispered.
Your grip on your weapon as you positioned yourself by the door. Natasha moved quickly, her fingers flying over the keyboard as she initiated the data transfer. The seconds ticked by, each one a small victory as the progress bar crept closer to completion. But just as the transfer was nearly finished, your worst fear came true. The door to the room burst open, and a group of Hydra agents stormed in with weapons raised. You reacted instinctively, firing a shot that took down the lead agent before he could pull the trigger. Chaos erupted in the room, bullets flying as the two of you fought for your lives.
"Nat, we have to fall back!" you shouted over the noise, your voice laced with desperation. But Natasha was focused, too focused, her eyes locked on the last remaining agent standing between you and the exit. She went in for the kill, but in that split second, everything went wrong. The agent, a hulking figure with a cruel grin, raised his weapon and aimed directly at Natasha. Time seemed to slow as you recognized the danger. Without thinking, you threw yourself in front of her, your body acting on pure instinct. The gun fired, the noise deafening in the enclosed space.
The sharp crack of gunfire echoed in Natasha’s ears, a sound she had heard countless times before, but never with such devastating clarity. It was as if the world had frozen, everything narrowing down to that one terrible moment as you threw yourself in front of the bullets meant for Natasha. The world around her dissolved into chaos. She barely registered what she was doing as she took down the last enemies, her body moving on autopilot, but her mind was solely focused on the woman lying in a growing pool of blood.
"Y/n!!" Natasha’s voice was a rough, tortured cry that echoed off the cold metal walls of the base. She dropped to her knees beside you, her hands trembling as they hovered over your body, unsure where to touch, where to press, where to begin mending what had been so horribly destroyed. Blood. So much blood. It stained your clothes, your skin, and Natasha’s hands as she finally pressed down on the gunshot wounds, trying to staunch the unrelenting flow. The blood was warm, sticky, seeping through Natasha’s fingers no matter how hard she pressed, and it filled her with a fear she had never known before.
"Why did you do that?!" Natasha’s voice quivered with a mix of anger and despair, her green eyes blazing as they met yours. "I told you to be careful! Why didn’t you listen to me!" Your breathing was shallow, each breath a painful struggle. Your face was pale, your eyes glassy as you looked up at Natasha, a gentle, sad smile playing on your lips. "I couldn’t… let him.." you whispered, your voice weak but resolute. "I had to protect you."
Natasha’s heart clenched painfully in her chest, a sob threatening to break free as she pressed harder on the wounds, desperately trying to stop the blood, trying to keep your life from slipping through her fingers. "You’re an idiot!" she choked out, her voice breaking as tears streamed down her cheeks, mixing with the blood on her hands. "You stupid idiot. You should have let-" She cut herself off, her throat closing up as the truth hit her like a sledgehammer. She had failed. She had failed to protect the woman she loved more than anything in this world.
Your hand, trembling and weak, reached to Natasha’s hands, "Don’t blame yourself.." you whispered, your voice barely a shadow of its former strength. "You couldn’t have known..Please, don’t blame yourself."
But Natasha couldn’t hear you, not over the deafening roar of her own guilt. She reached for her radio, her hands slick with blood as she brought the device to her lips. "I need a MedEvac now!" she called out, her voice breaking with desperation. "She’s been shot- two bullets to the chest, she’s losing too much blood!" She dropped the radio, her hands returning to your wounds, pressing down with all her might, even though she knew it wasn’t enough. She could feel your life slipping away, like sand through her fingers, and it was tearing her apart.
Your hand, weak but determined, found its way to your chest, pressing against one of the gunshot wounds. Your fingers came back bloody, and you stared at them, a strange sense of calm washing over you. "It’s..a lot.." you murmured, almost to yourself, your voice distant, as if you were already slipping away. "Don’t look." Natasha pleaded, her voice shaking as she gently took your hand and pulled it away from the wound. "Don’t look, just focus on me. Look at me, Y/n."
Your eyes flickered back to Natasha, your gaze softening as you saw the tear-streaked face of your wife. "Nat..it’s okay." you whispered, your voice growing weaker with every word. "I love you..I love our kids..Tell th-"
"Stop it." Natasha snapped, her voice hardening with a desperation that bordered on hysteria. "You’re going to tell them yourself. You’re going to be fine. We’re going to go home, and you’re going to see them. You’re going to hold them in your arms, and you’re going to be fine. Do you hear me? You’re going to be fine!" Your eyes grew heavy, the pain and exhaustion too much to fight against. But you could still hear Natasha’s voice, that beautiful, strong voice that had always made you feel safe.
Natasha had to keep you awake. She had to make you talk, keep you focused, keep you alive. "The Kids are waiting for us." Natasha began, her voice trembling but determined. "Mia..shes probably drawing on the walls, and lets Maria wipe it away.." Natasha continued, forcing a smile despite the tears streaming down her face. "She never listens when it comes to her art. And Jacob..he’s probably curled up in that old chair, reading another one of his books. He’s so thoughtful, so kind. Just like you"
Your lips twitched in the faintest hint of a smile, your eyelids fluttering as you struggled to stay awake. "Lila’s probably got her headphones on, blasting that awful music she’s into these days.." Natasha said, trying to keep her voice light even as her heart shattered with every passing second. "She thinks it’s cool, even though it drives us all crazy. But she’s strong, just like you. She’ll be okay."
You managed a weak chuckle, but it quickly turned into a wince of pain. Natasha’s grip on your hand tightened, her other hand still pressing desperately against your wound. "Natasha, I’m so..proud of them.. proud of you.."
"And I’m proud of you." Natasha whispered back, her voice cracking as she leaned closer, her forehead resting gently against yours. "You’re the strongest person I’ve ever known, Y/n. You’re going to get through this. You have to." But despite her words, she could feel your life slipping away, your breaths becoming shallower, your skin growing colder. Panic clawed at her insides, a deep, primal fear that she had never felt before. "Stay with me!" she pleaded, her voice breaking. "Please, stay with me. I can’t lose you. I can’t do this without you!"
Your eyes opened one last time, meeting Natasha’s gaze with a softness that broke her heart. "I love you." you whispered, your voice so faint it was almost lost in the air. "I’m sorry..I couldn’t-"
"Please, no." she whispered, her voice choked with sobs as she held you close, her tears mixing with the blood that stained both of you. "Don’t leave me, Y/n. Please…" The world seemed to narrow down to the sound of Natasha's frantic breathing, the steady dripping of blood on the floor, and your weakening heartbeat that she felt under her trembling hands. The walls of the Hydra base seemed to close in around her, the oppressive silence only broken by the distant echoes of their previous fight.
But then, there was sudden movement, heavy footsteps echoed on the concrete floor, voices shouting commands. The door to the room flew open, and Natasha barely registered who it was until she heard Bruce's voice. "Natasha! Step aside, let me through!" Bruce's voice was firm, but there was an urgency in it that Natasha had never heard before.
Natasha didn't want to let you go, couldn't let you go but she forced herself to move just enough to allow Bruce to kneel beside you, his first-aid kit already in hand. His face was hardened with determination as he quickly examined your wounds. His eyes met Natasha's for a brief moment, filled with something she couldn't name and didn't want to name. "This doesn't look good.." Bruce muttered quietly as he pulled out an improvised bandage and pressed it firmly against the wounds to stop the blood flow. You groaned in pain, your body jerking under his hands.
"Stay with us, Y/n.." Bruce said, his voice deep and calm, though Natasha could hear the pressure beneath it. "I need you here, okay? I'll do everything I can, but you need to hold on." Steve appeared in the doorway, his faces serious and tense as he took in the situation. Steve acted quickly, his gaze hardening as he recognized the severity of your injuries. "We need to get her out of here, immediately." he said, his voice leaving no room for argument.
"Steve, be careful." Natasha warned, her voice laced with fear as she watched him kneel beside you. She knew what needed to be done, but the thought of you being moved, the pain it would cause you, made her stomach twist with anxiety. Bruce looked up at Steve, his face grave. "I've managed to slow the bleeding, but it's not enough. We need to get her to the Quinjet quickly, she doesn't have much time left."
Steve nodded, his jaw clenched as he carefully slipped his arms under your limp body. The moment he lifted you, your eyes shot open, and a blood-curdling scream escaped your throat, raw and filled with agony. Your hands clawed at Steve's arms, your fingers digging in as the pain shot through your body like fire.
"I know it hurts." Steve said, his voice strained as he tried to keep you calm. "But we have to move you. We have to get you to the jet." Natasha was immediately by your side, her hands reaching for yours, her voice soft and soothing as she tried to calm you. "I'm here, Malysh. I'm here. Hold on, okay? Focus on my voice. We're getting you out of here."
Your eyes were wide with pain, your breaths coming in short, gasping bursts as Steve carried you toward the exit. Natasha kept pace beside you, her heart breaking at every tortured sound that escaped your lips. "Think of the kids, Y/n." Natasha murmured, her voice trembling but determined. "Lila, Mia, and Jacob, they're waiting for us. We're going home to them. You just have to hold on a little longer."
Your grip on Natasha's hand tightened, your eyes finding hers as if drawing strength from her words. "I'm..I'm trying," you gasped, your voice barely audible, but Natasha could hear the desperation, the fear. "You're doing so well, baby.." Natasha whispered, her own voice breaking. "You're so strong. Just a little bit more, I promise. We're almost there."
The Quinjet came into view, the cargo door already open, and Bruce was shouting instructions to Sam, who was preparing the medical area for emergency treatment. Steve moved as quickly as he could, his face set in determination, while your blood soaked through his uniform. Natasha stayed close to you, her hand never leaving yours, her voice a steady stream of reassurance even as her own fear threatened to choke her. "We're almost there. Just a few more steps."
Your eyes fluttered, your strength fading fast as Steve carried you up the ramp into the jet. As soon as they were inside, Bruce was there, helping Steve to gently lay you on the medical bed. The moment your back touched the bed, you screamed again, your body convulsing with pain.
Bruce moved with controlled urgency, his hands flying over the medical equipment as the jet's engines roared to life. "We need to stabilize her." he said, more to himself than the others. He inserted an IV, pumping fluids into your body to counter the blood loss. "Her pulse is weak, Natasha, keep talking to her. Don't let her drift away."
Natasha nodded, her tears flowing freely now as she leaned over you, her lips close to your ear. "You're doing so well. I'm so proud of you. Keep your eyes on me, okay? Just look at me." Your eyes fluttered open, glassy with pain, but you managed to focus on Natasha, your lips trembling as you tried to speak. "I..love you.." you whispered, your voice so weak that Natasha had to strain to hear it.
"I love you too." Natasha whispered back, her heart breaking at the sight of your pale, bloodless face. "So much. You're going to be okay. You have to be okay." But even as she spoke, Natasha could see the life fading from your eyes, your body growing colder under her touch. And then, in a moment that would haunt Natasha forever, your eyes rolled back, and the heart monitor emitted a long, shrill beep.
"Y-Y/n?" Natasha's voice was a broken whisper, her hands shaking as she shook your lifeless body. "No, no, no..Bruce do something!" He was already moving, his face pale as he grabbed the defibrillator paddles. "We're losing her! Clear!" The shock jolted your body, but the heart monitor remained flat, its unbroken tone slicing through the air like a knife. Natasha's breath caught in her throat, her entire body filled with cold terror. "No! You can't leave me! You can't leave me!"
Bruce pressed the paddles to your chest again, his voice tight with concentration. "Clear!" Your body convulsed with the shock, but still nothing. Natasha felt something inside her break, her knees giving out as she clung to your hand, her tears falling onto your still, lifeless body. "Don't do this!" Natasha sobbed, her voice breaking. "Please..I can't lose you. I need you!"
Bruce was relentless, refusing to give up as he administered another shock. "Come on, Y/n!" he muttered through gritted teeth. "Come on." Ad then, like a miracle, there was a flicker on the monitor..a weak but present heartbeat. Natasha's breath caught, hope flooding her like a wave. Bruce immediately switched tactics, working quickly to stabilize you, his hands moving with a speed that only came from years of practice.
"She's back.." Bruce said, his voice trembling with relief but also with the realization of how fragile this life still was. "But she's not out of the woods yet. We need to get her to the MedBay immediately." The Quinjet accelerated to full speed, racing toward Avengers Compound. Natasha stayed by your side the entire time, her hand gripping yours so tightly her knuckles turned white. "You can't do this to me again, you hear me?" she whispered urgently, as tears continued to stream down her face. "Do you hear me, Y/n! You can't leave me."
Natasha held on to the faint pulse under her fingers, to the fragile heartbeat that was all that kept her world from completely shattering. The flight back to the Compound felt like an eternity, every second stretching out as Natasha watched Bruce work, her heart heavy as a stone in her chest. But she refused to let you go, refused to let you slip away again. She kept talking to you, whispering promises, clinging to the hope that somehow, someway, they would make it through this. The Quinjet landed with a jolt on the grounds of the Compound, the ramp lowering before the engines had fully powered down. Natasha didn't wait for the jet to come to a complete stop, she was on her feet immediately, running alongside the gurney where you lay, pale and motionless, as Bruce and a team of medics rushed you into the medical wing.
The blood seeping through the hastily applied bandages was a constant reminder of the bullets that had torn through your body. Natasha's hands were still stained with that blood, her mind fogged with fear and despair as she clung to the edge of the gurney, her eyes never leaving your face for a moment.
The medics burst through the doors of the medical wing, but in that moment, Natasha's breath caught. In the hallway, eyes wide with fear and horror, stood her children. Lila, Jacob, and Mia. They were supposed to be with Maria! Safe and far away from the nightmare that was unfolding. But there they were, huddled together, their faces pale with fear and confusion. They must have sensed that something was wrong, must have noticed the change in the air when the Quinjet landed.
“Mom!” called Lila, her voice cracking under the weight of fear and anger. “What happened?? Is Y/n okay??” Jacob clung Lilas arm, his face contorted with worry. “Why is there so much blood?” he asked, his voice trembling. “What happened to her?” Mia, held onto Lila's other arm, her big eyes filled with tears as she looked up at Natasha. “Why are there so many poeple?” she whispered, her voice small and full of fear. Natasha's heart broke at the sight of the Kids, standing there so vulnerable and scared. This was the last thing she wanted..that they had to see you like this, that they had to be exposed to this kind of fear. She wanted to protect them, to shield them from the harsh realities of the life she led, but there was no time to think, no time to find the right words.
The medics paused for a brief moment, a fleeting second, as they maneuvered the gurney through the door. In that instant, the Kids saw you, your ashen face, the blood-soaked bandages, the way your body lay motionless and lifeless. It was only a brief moment, but it was enough. Mia let out a small, sharp cry. She turns to Lila's to press her face into hers and Jacob's eyes widened, his grip on Lila's arm tightened until his knuckles turned white. Even Lila, who was trying so hard to be brave, took a step back, her face drained of all color.
“oh my god, what happened?!” Lila asked, her voice rising in panic. “Why does she look like that? What’s going on?” Natasha felt her throat tighten, her breath catching in her chest. She needed to be with you, needed to be by your side as the doctors fought for your life. But she couldn’t leave the kids like this, couldn’t just walk away without giving them some kind of explanation, some kind of comfort. She knelt in front of them, her hands reaching out to pull them close. “Listen to me.” she said, her voice trembling with the effort to stay calm. “Y/n..she's very badly hurt, but the doctors are going to do everything they can to help her. You need to stay with Maria now, okay? I have to be with her.”
Mia's tears spilled over, her little hands clutching at Natasha's suit. “But why did she get hurt?" Jacob was crying now too, silent tears streaming down his face as he shook his head. “I don’t want her to die, mum. I don’t want her to die..” Lila, her face pale and drawn, looked up at Natasha, her eyes a mixture of fear and anger. “She won't, will she?” she asked, her voice breaking. “Why did this even happen to her and not to you?”
The question hit Natasha like a physical blow, the guilt she had been trying to suppress rising up and choking her. How could she explain this? How could she make them understand that you had taken those bullets for them, that she had made the ultimate sacrifice because she believed they needed Natasha more? But there was no time. The medics began to move again, pushing the gurney through the doors and out of sight. Natasha’s heart twisted painfully as she looked at her children, their tear-streaked faces filled with confusion and fear.
“I promise I’ll explain everything.” Natasha whispered, her voice thick with tears. “But right now, I have to be with her. Please..please stay with Maria. I’ll come back as soon as I can.” She pulled back a little and looked directly at Lila, who was trying so hard to hold it together. “Lila.” she said, her voice firm but full of urgency, “I need you to be strong now. Your brother and sister are going to need you. I need you to take care of them while I’m with Y/n. Can you do that for me?”
Lila’s eyes widened, the weight of what Natasha was asking settling on her young shoulders. She hesitated, fear and uncertainty flashing in her eyes, but then she nodded, her jaw setting in determination. “I can do it.” she said, her voice steady despite the tears she was fighting back. “I’ll take care of them.” Natasha reached out, cupping her face with one hand, her thumb brushing away a stray tear. “Thank you." She whispered, her voice filled with gratitude and love. “I know it’s a lot to ask, but I trust you, Lila. I need to know they’re safe with you.”
Lila nodded again, this time more decisively, and took Jacob and Mia’s hands, squeezing them reassuringly. “We’ll be okay, Mom. You go take care of Y/n.” Natasha swallowed hard, fighting back the tears that threatened to overwhelm her. “I’ll come back as soon as I can.” she promised, pressing a kiss to each of their foreheads. “I love you all so much.” With that, she forced herself to turn away, even though every instinct screamed at her to stay with them, to hold them until the fear subsided. But she couldn’t. She had to be with you, had to be there while the doctors fought for your life. She hurried after the medics, her heart pounding in her chest as she rushed through the doors of the medical wing, leaving her children behind, their tearful eyes searing into her memory.

Hi Charliedawn! Are you still doing requests? If so, how would the slashers react if Y/N pranked them of leaving forever? (You may ignore this if you want)
Freddy:
"Hey now ! Where d’ya think yer goin’ ?!"
Freddy shrieked and was so loud he alerted every single slasher in a 50 miles radius and they all came to see you with your bags. In an instant, they all came forth and pulled you back. You thought you could leave ? Ah ! Nope. Better luck next time.
Penny:
Penny doesn’t sleep and can hear a pin drop from China. You aren’t going anywhere as long as he has decided he still wanted you around. Besides, he can also read minds. So if you plan to skedaddle ? He’d be the first to know and stop you. Or else you could also include him in the prank. That would make more sense.
Jack Torrance:
"Darling ? What are those bags for ?"
Jack saw your bags and immediately understood. He clenched his fists and felt angry…but he then calmed down. He looked at you and sighed before asking.
"Is that…really what you want ?"
If you confirmed, he would let you go. Jack would understand that you want to leave. However, that doesn’t mean Jack wouldn’t try to dissuade you. He would tell you that the others would miss you—and so would he. But he wouldn’t stop you.
Michael Myers:
The moment that man’s eyes would fall on the bags ? You can forget about freedom. He would wrap his arms around you so tight that you would almost be suffocating before carrying you bridal style back to your room and close the door behind him. After you told him it was a prank, he stared at you for a few seconds and you felt his need to murder you at that moment.
Do NOT prank the boogeyman.
Bo:
Bo *sees you*
You *see Bo*
Bo *sees the bags*
You *start running*
Bo *runs after you and tackles you to the ground* : "Where ya goin’, darls’ ? Thought ya could run away from me, huh ? C’mere. I’ll show ya what happens to those who tryna leave my ass behind !"
When you told him it was a prank, Bo stared at you and it took a few minutes for him to calm down. And when he was calm again, he started yelling. Because, WHATCHA MEAN IT WAS A PRANK ?!
Brahms:
Brahms rarely leaves you alone, so he wouldn’t exactly give you the time to plan a prank about leaving. But the moment his eyes would settle on your bags ? Yeah. Not happening. He would stick to you like glue and refuse to let you go. Even after you explained that it was a prank, that boy wouldn’t budge. He has severe abandonment issues.
Pennywise:
"Go on. Leave. I am not gonna stop you, nurse."
Pennywise has seen everyone he ever cared about die or leave him. He has learnt to be impassive and cold when it comes to people leaving him. He wouldn’t stop you. But he would secretly hate seeing you leave. But when you told him it was a prank ?
He was mad. Very mad. He didn’t speak to you for days afterwards. Pennywise likes a good prank, but not about this. He has abandonment issues himself, but they manifest by his desperate attempt to not care.
Jason Voorhees:
He went head first in the fountain of the hospital in his hurry to stop you. He saw you leaving and ran to stop you, only to end up tripping and rolling to fall in the fountain. You—of course—went to help him right away. You forgot all about the prank and checked that he was alright. You helped him out and he immediately hugged him tightly—refusing to let go until you reassured him that you weren’t going anywhere.
Norman Bates:
Norman didn’t say anything. He simply stared at you as you pretended to leave.
But you could feel his eyes on you—daring you.
I DARE you to leave me, Y/N.
When you turned around, you saw that his face was relaxed—but his eyes were still staring at you. He was silently waiting. Waiting for what ? You didn’t know. You were about to step out the door when you felt cold sweat running down your back. Your hand shook as it reached out for the handle. And just as you were about to open the door—his hand enveloped yours. His other hand wrapped itself around your throat as he whispered in your ear:
"…Are you sure that this is what you want, darling ?"
You gulped and felt unable to breathe for a moment—even though he was barely squeezing your throat.
"It…It was a prank, Norman." You finally revealed and Norman smirked. He knew it was a prank. Or else, you wouldn’t have MADE it to the door.
He kissed your temple.

Idk if you're receiving requests, but I wanted to ask a hurt/comfort/fluff where reader is receiving so much hate on the internet and Wooyoung comfort her being the best person as he always been. I'm passing through a hard moment, and need this to feel a little better.
hi my loves, yes I'm always open for request! And I hope things will turn out better for you at the end of the day, don't lose hope okay? I hope this satisfy you, my loves.
"In Wooyoungie's arms" || jung wooyoung || one-shot
|genre: fluff. comfort. angst. idol! wooyoung. girlfriend! reader. |mentions: hate comments. insecurities.
The moment you met Wooyoung inside the company meeting room, the small talks and asserting of flirty words, and the casual walk from the near cafe to grab some drinks for the staff and the boys and the numerous dates he finally took you to.
And the sweet surrender of yes on the night of the countless date nights you both have.
Your life would have to turn over for the best and the worst. It wasn’t discussed within the team to publicise your relationship but fans being fans and their possessiveness with their idols can be a little over the notch as they found out about your relationship with the main dancer of Ateez. While they didn’t know your name or what you looked like—something you were grateful for.
But it didn’t stop them from attacking you. Indirectly, sometimes directly, their words found a way to reach you.
The glow of your laptop screen felt colder than usual as the hateful comments piled up like bricks on your chest. Wooyoung had warned you about this, his words a mix of care and frustration. "They’re just meaningless words," he’d told you. "Don’t let them break you. They don’t know you like I do."
But the cruelty of their words was precisely the point—to drag you down, make you feel small and undeserving.
Each word you read felt like a dagger, sharp and unrelenting. You had become the topic of conversation for days, and despite your better judgment, you couldn't stop looking. Each glance at the screen chipped away at you, robbing you of your joy, your passion, and your sense of self. The comments weighed heavily on your mind, and over time, the pressure seeped into your body, manifesting in exhaustion and self-doubt.
Your hands gripped your sides as anger and sadness churned inside you. Why couldn’t you be like others your age? Successful, confident, with clear skin and even clearer paths to their futures. The questions spiraled, pulling you deeper into a haze of self-pity and despair.
When you feel your eyes start to burn from staring at the screen a little too long, your hands tremble as you close the browser, you could have avoided going through this but the damage is already done. You were so curious that it killed you. It sent doubt and despair. Tears blurred your vision, and your chest tightened with the weight of emotions you couldn't put into words.
A soft knock at the door broke the silence.
"Y/N?" Wooyoung's familiar voice called out, gentle but laced with concern. "I brought snacks... Can I come in?"
You quickly wiped your tears, but it was too late. Wooyoung had already stepped inside, carrying a tray of your favorite treats. His expression softened the moment he saw your red eyes and trembling lips. Wooyoung had promised you along the time you were growing inside your relationship, to always provide assurance and no tears to shed. Unless they were happy tears.
"Hey," he whispered, placing the tray on your desk before kneeling in front of you. "What happened?"
You shook your head, trying to muster a smile, but it faltered under his gaze. He reached out, his hands warm and steady as they cupped your cheeks.
"Don't say it's nothing," he murmured. "I can see it, Y/N. Talk to me."
The dam broke, and everything spilled out. Between ragged breaths, you told him about the hateful comments, the overwhelming pressure, and the toll it was taking on you. Wooyoung listened intently, his thumbs gently brushing away your tears as you spoke. His heart ached watching you break down, seeing the vulnerable side of yours. His own heart breaking as he felt helpless in that moment when you’d been carrying these all alone. He pulled you into his arms as you finished, holding you as though you were the most precious thing in the world.
When you finally finished, he pulled you into his arms, holding you like you were the most precious thing in the world. "Y/N, listen to me," he said, his voice firm but kind. "Those people don’t know you. Their words only have as much power as you let them have."
You clung to him, his warmth grounding you. "But it hurts, Wooyoung. It’s like they’re always waiting for me to mess up."
"I know it hurts," he said, his fingers threading through your hair soothingly. "And I wish I could shield you from all of it but what I know …" His fingers run down above your chest, pointing softly where your heart beats slowly. You look at him expectantly.
“The scars that carved your heart are what makes you feel alive.” He leaned back slightly, looking into your eyes with a soft smile. "You're not alone in this, okay? We’re a team. And if anyone has a problem with you, they’ll have to deal with me."
A small laugh escaped your lips despite the tears. "That sounds dangerous."
Wooyoung also let out a small laugh. A moment of silence made you both bask in each other's presence. Wooyoung brushed a stray hair behind your ear, his eyes staring at your shaking ones. His hand lands softly on your cheek, as you lean in on his warmth that made his chest bloom in admiration.
His thumb caressing your cheek, “Life comes with a lot of baggage and you don’t know which one carries the heaviest and which one has to go.”
The tension in your chest eased in his words as Wooyoung picked up one of the snacks from the tray. "Now, let’s eat. You can’t fight internet trolls on an empty stomach."
You chuckled, taking the snack he handed you. "Thank you, Wooyoung. For everything."
"Always," he said, sitting beside you and wrapping an arm around your shoulders. "Now, let’s watch a movie or something. Something funny. No sad stuff allowed."
With Wooyoung by your side, the world felt a little less heavy, you allowed yourself to smile genuinely, knowing you were loved and supported by the best person you could ever ask for.
And for the first time that day, you come to realize that life indeed has a lot in store for you, either you remove them from you or share them with people. You don’t have to carry what you can no longer hold on to, it’s time for you to realize that having them with you will only drag you down and slower. Find the time to declutter inside your mind and things will be easier for you. Time heals and scars rejoice.
i hope this one helps, my loves.

Could you please do gn!reader x lucifer who is very quite at first but after opening up they're like the complete opposite of before? Like frequent hand holding talking a lot and just overall very lively and absolutely adores Lucifer's rubber ducks (maybe also a creator themself?) anyways thank you and have an amazing day!
A/N - Absotutly! That’s so cute! You have an amazing day as well! :)
Pairing(s) - Lucifer x Gn!reader
W/C - fluff, sfw, slight ep 5 spoilers (it is his debut ep), not proofread…
He definitely thought you were always like that since he never saw you with anyone you were close with when you first met him.
He thought it was cute how shy you were but he wanted you to open up because he was curious about you.
You are mysterious in his eyes
He felt that if he spent more time with you he could figure you out.
On one hellish day Lucifer was working on a project (duck) out of boredom when he heard his door creak open. He turns himself in his chair to see you peaking your head in to observe him. He smiles at you and gestures for you to come closer. After you nervously move yourself into the room completely you make your way over to stand beside his chair. He gently grabs your hand and pulls you closer to him and the work desk and holds up his new invented duck closer to your face with his free hand.
“I know it’s not much but I really do love them…” he tells you with a hint of bashfulness as he uses his magic to give the illusion of it swimming in the air. You look at it in amazement and admiration as you speak quietly, “No…it’s magnificent…”
He watches with a soft smile as you admire his creation and pulls you down to where he sits, kissing your cheek gently.
When you start opening up it does come as a bit of surprise even though that was his plan from the beginning.
While he’s happy that you’re being open with him, he is not used to it and gets a little nervous or flustered by your actions.
If you grab his hand suddenly he will freeze and have to process what just happened for the first few times…
After a bit he will slowly start to get used to it, like…it will take a while…
He hasn’t had this facts of affection given to him for awhile so as much as he is super grateful, it’s still something he has to get used to again.
He absolutely loves it when he gets used to it and of course does it back tenfold!
While he could easily tell that you loved his ducks from the start…it was a shock when you gave him one that you created for the first time. Though he’ll cherish it forever! More than any other creations!
After the initial shock of realization that you also invent ducks he becomes absolutely ecstatic about it!
You two get to bounce ideas off eachother and collaborate on new types of ducks.
Sometimes when you just can’t find the creative inspiration to make the duck you hoped for, he will use his magic to make your idea come to life.
“Luci~! I need your help!” you call to him as you run up to him at his work desk, giving him a tight hug from behind. He jumps at the action but chuckles quietly, responding to you, “With what, my swan?”
You release him from the big and move beside him, holding up your almost finished rubber duck. “I think it’s quite cute but something is missing…but you always know how to make it perfect!” You explain eagerly.
He nods and take it from your hand, using his free hand to manifest his magic. As he is about to infuse it with his magic, you speak, “I forget to tell y-“ and it explodes with confetti before your eyes.
He winced in surprise and you burst out in laughter. He turns to you with a mix of shock and confusion causing you to speak through your laughter, “I’m sorry~! Pfft…what I was trying to say was that I constructed it to explode on contact with magic~…I just wanted you to look over it to fix its physicality!” You giggle at him.
He shakes his head and laughs lightly, “I think you did that on purpose, missy.” You fail to hide your smirk and decide to give yourself away with a shrug, responding in a playful tone, “Maybe I did…” He grabs your waist gently and pulls you close, giving you a light kiss on your lips. You two laugh in the kiss as he spins you around. After, you both turn back to his work desk and start on a new creation together…
I hope y’all enjoyed! I loved writing this! :)

Title: Confession
Pairing: Hank McCoy x Reader
Genre: Romantic fluff
TW: None.
Summary: You finally work up the courage to tell your crush how you feel.
Request: No
A/N: This takes place in my own little AU where they found and brought back Charles. Just for context. Also, things get a little spicy, but not NSFW.
Okay, let's take it back to where it started.
About two years ago, you had joined the X-Men. Yes, you, a non-mutant.
They had repeatedly tried to convince you not to, but the professor saw a great potential in you that need only manifest with the right trigger.
Regardless, you went on a myriad of missions while paired with some of the other X-Men; Cyclops, Gambit, Ice Man, Rouge, Jean Gray, Wolverine, Colossus, Shadow Cat, and most notably, our focus for this story, Beast. In other words, your crush, Dr. Hank McCoy.
Whenever it was you two on missions, you felt unbeatable, yet at the same time, exceptionally worried. Of course you were worried about your other teammates. But when it was you and Hank, your anxiety hit an all-time high. This caused you to slip up at times and even get hit yourself. That of course made Hank upset. But when you were conscious when that happened, you saw him unleash an almost primal rage on the enemy, namely the MRD soldiers that showed no remorse for what they did to you.
There were a couple times when the MRD captured you and tortured you for info on the professor and the X-Men. You didn't talk and were nearly killed for it. But who came to your rescue? Hank. Alone. No plan, no fancy displays, just bulldozing through the hoard of soldiers and guards. And when he left with you in tow, he carried you bridal style, like a cliche action hero carrying their love interest after a big rescue mission.
But the anxiety of the battlefield and getting kidnapped is easily trounced by the social anxiety you felt when it was just you and Hank in a more laid back situation. Namely when you were in his lab.
No matter how long it had been since you had first developed your crush on him, you still felt insecure about opening up. But you already knew that Charles would've read your mind to find out, but he respected your wishes and kept quiet.
Back to present day however.
You were just sitting in the lab, unsure of what to say or do since he was busy and you didn't feel like interrupting his work. Besides, even if you did want to talk, you couldn't think of what to talk about since you were always so afraid to spend any amount of time with him outside of missions. So you just played with your hair and thumbs somewhat awkwardly. That was until he spoke up.
Hank: "If you have something that you feel must be said, speak it. There's no need to be so shy with me, my friend."
His kind words of encouragement only made you even more nervous than before. You dared not move or speak, fearing that you would say or do something inappropriate.
But he surprises you first by standing up from his desk and then swiftly pulling you close to his chest.
Hank: "I'm not oblivious to your feelings, sweetheart."
He gently caresses your cheek and plants a soft kiss on your lips. An action that you never thought he'd do for you.
In that one moment you felt a storm of emotions take you all at once. Relief, bliss and ecstasy. Finally, after nearly two years, he noticed your feelings, acknowledged them and reciprocated them. You felt whole.
You held each other closer and kissed again. This time it was a longer, deeper, more passionate kiss.
One of his hands held you by the waist and the other on the back of your head, gently caressing it.
His tongue was pushing against yours in a one-sided struggle for dominance. His coming out on top.
Your hands however were too preoccupied feeling up his torso, starting at the waist and going up. First passing his solid six pack abs, then higher before stopping to caress and scratch his rock hard pecs that were still visible underneath his green shirt.
He instinctively and hastily removes his lab coat and pins you to the wall, one arm resting against it and above your head. While the other slid up your torso, only he went inside your shirt.
You could feel his furry hand and the razor sharp claws slid up until stopping at your middle section.
The combination of both of your moans through your kissing filled the room with a hot and heavy atmosphere. You couldn't help yourself and squeezed his pecs hungrily before having them crawl up to scratch his cheeks and mutton chops.
But eventually, you two pulled away from each other to give yourselves some air. Leaving you two gasping and panting, out of breath.
You then shared a quick peck on your lips and hugged each other.
Hank: "I love you."
Y/N: "I love you too, Hank."

FIRST IMPRESSIONS pt. 2
choso x gn!reader
ao3 • masterlist << previous part • next part >>
summary: stumbling upon a strange man while deeply lost on halloween night in the subway, you find yourself quickly in trouble.
tags/warnings: some violence, yandere, reader insert, season 2/shibuya arc references/potential spoilers
a/n: decided to continue this one after all, after this chapter you can expect one more conclusive chapter.
You stared at the man before you, unsure what to think.
In an attempt to tug back your wrist from his almost desperate hold, you found that he wasn’t letting go of you.
The air around the station started to feel thicker, heavier and almost suffocating. The flickering overhead lights were starting to make you nauseated too. The longer he held onto you, the more it seemed as though the walls around you were closing in.
Choso, as you learned the man was now called, pulled you along beside him as you both walked. While being in his presence didn’t feel immediately dangerous, you could tell that something darker was brewing within him as if there was more to him than he let on.
You occasionally looked up at him, watching him pass through the subway with a determined glint in his eyes. Even though he walked with an unwavering stride, his destination locked in mind, he couldn’t help but tighten his hold on you whenever he felt you were potentially straying away.
Such an interaction left you feeling confused as you were unsure as to why he was suddenly helping you with such drive despite the shaky first impression. You didn’t quite understand why there was so much danger down here to begin with, but his serious demeanour was convincing enough so you trusted him.
Or at least, you tried to.
“Stay close to me,” Choso murmured, keeping his voice low. His fingers tightened around your wrist, pulling you a little closer to him.
You could only nod as you tried to swallow away any fear you had. The late autumn night proved cold and stacked with the internal fear that was manifesting in your bones, leaving you almost shivering. Choso’s touch was warm though, surprisingly so, given how almost sickly pale that he looked.
Suddenly, you paused in your tracks and so did he. It felt as though you were being watched and even hunted and upon turning around, you saw a pair of people walking right behind you. Initially, you were relieved but then the longer you stared at them, the more uneasy you felt.
Recognising the confined cursed energy that coursed beneath their unimposing surface, Choso recognised those humans as Mahito’s doing. They weren’t people anymore, just abominations with a temporary cover and being what they truly were, it was no surprise that they were hunting you.
“Stay behind me,” he warned, shoving you slightly back.
Initially, you were about to protest, but then you saw as the people before you became something else completely. It all happened so fast, but their forms quickly became mangled, contorting into grotesque fusions of folded flesh. They lurched forward in a sprint towards where you stood—their movements almost clumsy and erratic—their cold, dead eyes focused right on you.
You tried to step back in an attempt to run away, unsure of what exactly you were seeing but Choso stopped you once again. With a heated growl, he spoke out a warning, “Don’t move. I’ll take care of them.”
His form shielded you from their immediate attack and you couldn’t help but feel your voice lock in your throat. You wanted to scream and ask what on earth was going on, but you couldn’t, with only shaky breaths able to escape your lips.
Choso’s body was tense with anticipation, but he acted swiftly before the now turned cursed spirits could catch up to you and cause any real damage. With a raised hand, his fingers formed a sign and shot out what looked like blood from the tips of his fingers, forming sharp scarlet spears that stabbed through the creature’s bodies, causing them both to be taken down with just one hit.
He remained still for a moment before turning back to you and taking a deep breath. His eyes were dark with tension but he forced himself to soften his stance when he looked back towards you.
“Are you okay?” he asked you, attempting to adopt a gentler tone. Choso had to remind himself that you weren’t a sorcerer, so he had to be patient with you.
You gulped down your fears, attempting to nod but your legs felt weak, as though they would give out at any second.
“I-I’m fine,” you warily stammered, barely hearing your own voice as your heart thundered in your chest, the pulsating echoing against your ears, “what… what exactly are you?”
Choso’s calm demeanour faltered for a second. That was a good question. What was he? His expression turned almost pained, as if he didn’t have a cohesive answer. He found himself stepping forward, trying to hold onto you again as a way to both comfort you but also himself.
“It’s not easy to explain,” he said with a strained tone, the flashback of his fabricated memories still fresh in his mind, “I’m not like you, I was created… not born.”
“Created…?” you repeated what he told you. “So you’re not exactly human? But you look so…”
“I’m what is called a death painting, I believe,” he replied, trying to explain it to you, thinking that maybe if he forces himself to listen to the history he recently learned then it would make it easier, but all it did was torment him. “I was formed in a womb like you, but I was never born. I was made for a… purpose, but that turned out to be a lie because I was misled by someone I thought I could trust,” his voice became more strained, almost rough with emotion, “but that doesn’t matter right now.”
You blinked, unsure how you should process the information he gave you. It was admittedly tough to digest. “It sure sounds like it matters though…”
“My focus right now is you,” he dismissed, shaking his head, “I can’t let anything happen to you, not after everything that has happened tonight.”
Your heart skipped a beat at his words as he left you feeling quite strange with the implication. There was something about the way he looked at you that made you feel wary, as though you were his reason for holding on. While flattering, he was still a stranger to you and a dangerous one at that from what you had seen, so such a thought in fact scared you.
“I… I have done things,” Choso continued to speak, his voice almost trembling, “things that I regret. I almost killed someone important to me but… but, I was wrong. I was deceived…” he trailed off for a moment, his eyes locking onto yours, “I-I don’t want to be a monster, but, I’ll do whatever I can to protect you, even if it means I have to become one for your sake in the process.”
You could only stare back at him without forming an immediate response. The weight of his words were heavy, especially coming from someone you had just met. A strange feeling formed for you too, though. You knew that you should have been much more terrified than just simply scared, but there was a part of you that wanted to believe him all the same. It was as though his vulnerability had almost touched you…? It made you feel sad for him and what he was forced to do.
“I… I believe you,” you finally said.
Choso stiffened in response, both relieved but nervous all at the same time. He pulled you closer without warning, ensnaring your body in a tight, sudden hug. His arms around your body feel strong, the muscles tight around your frame but you didn’t feel as though you were in danger.
“Thank you,” he whispered, his breath rolling hot down your neck. “I’ll keep you safe, no matter what I have to do.”
You nodded, letting him hold onto you despite not having a single clue as to what was really going on and finally, after a long minute, he loosened his grip on you even if he didn’t let go of you just yet.
“We need to keep moving,” he said, his voice less intense now but still just as determined as before, “there’s still danger here but I’ll protect you.”
You nodded again, unable to form a response that time as you let him drag you forward. You don’t know exactly where it was that he was leading you, but you felt somehow bonded to this strange man who led you through the underground space. For the most part, the station seemed empty but whenever there was even a passing footstep or a slight shuffle, he would turn the corner with you and lead you somewhere else. You stayed close to him, of course, not that he would allow himself to let you go.
Something about him seemed to be changing however, his breathing slowly grew more labourers and his expression gradually turned grave. It was almost as if he was distracted, with his eyes darting around erratically, searching for something—maybe someone—that wasn’t there.
Then without a single hint of warning, he stopped dead in his tracks.
“Choso…?” you tried to ask.
The death painting didn’t reply right away, still reeling from the overwhelming emotions he was experiencing. Finally though, he finally spoke up, but his voice seemed broken, “I-I… I can’t go on… n-not right now.”
His shoulders sagged as his body melted against the wall, bringing up his knees to a tented fold to his chest. Feeling unsure of what do exactly, you decided to settle down beside him, unsure if it was the correct course of action.
The fear that you felt earlier was still there, deep down in your core. However, you could at the same time understand that he was going through something that went beyond your own comprehension of understanding. You weren’t an unreasonable person. You could feel pity, even empathy for what he might have been going through; it was clear that he was struggling with something, even if you didn’t get the true extent of just how dire it truly was.
“Are you okay?” you tried to ask in a soft tone.
Choso let out a shaky breath, his voice barely audible, “I am not… I’m not okay. I don’t know how to deal with this. All of this. The guilt… the… confusion? I thought I knew what I was and what I had to do, but now nothing makes sense to me anymore.”
His words while scattered, did make at least a a shred of sense to you. You just sat beside him with your hand on his arm, even leaning a little bit. You didn’t have anything that you could say to soothe his aching heart, but you could still offer him your company.
Many minutes had since then passed and the tension in his body slowly subsided as he leaned further into your touch. His breathing was no longer laboured as he fought to regain control, but his eyes were bloodshot with tears that threatened to escape. With one look at you, he begins to cry. He did so quietly at first but then he truly let go; his weeping echoing through the confines of the (mostly) empty station as he finally let go of all the raw pain and regret that he had been holding back.
You kept at his side, offering him your quiet support that he desperately needed. A part of you still didn’t understand him and another part of you still feared him and what he might do, but you swallowed those thoughts away for now. In front of you was a broken man and despite his claims of being a monster, you could very clearly see the humanity within him and his warring struggle to hold onto it.
After what felt like forever, his cries finally seemed to subside and Choso at last wiped his eyes with the back of his hand. He then turned his head to get a better look at you and although his gaze initially seemed tender—there was something else lurking beneath the surface—something darker.
“You…” he strained, reigning control of his voice once again, “you’re so kind. Too kind. Why are you still here…?”
You hesitated. Overlooking the part where he wouldn’t let you you go even if you tried to leave, you had a different reason for sticking by his side. “I don’t know… I guess I can just see that you’re trying? You don’t want to be a bad person and it’s clear.”
Choso simply stared at you with an unreadable expression written on his face but then he piped up, finally having something to say to you, “You… You don’t know how much this means to me. No one has ever treated me this way, with kindness… with compassion or with hope.”
You thought that his words were quite tragic, as you were unable to imagine such a lonely existence. It was then that you realised that something had shifted between the two of you. The way he was looking at you now, it felt much more intense than before, almost possessive. It was as if he made an internal decision in his mind and just as you were about to ask him about it, he opened up his mouth as though to stay something.
“I can’t let you go,” Choso said, his voice laced with desperation, “I need you. You’re the only thing that’s keeping me… human.”
You looked at him with some uncertainty evident in your gaze, unable to reply to the bluntness of his words.
“Look, I know that this is… sudden,” he mumbled, realising just how insane he must look to you right now, “but I can’t lose someone like you. Not now. Not ever.”
You swallowed hard as your mind raced at the implication. Just like that feeling you had before, you wanted to break free from this man and run away as far as possible. Then there was that other part of you that couldn’t deny that there was some tension between the two of you—something that dared you to stay, to see where this whole thing might lead. You knew that all of this was wrong and dangerous, but something about the way he looked at you was more convincing than anything you had ever known.
“Please,” he urged, his voice raw and almost pleading. “Please stay with me. Don’t leave. I’ll.. Ill protect you, I’ll do anything for you… just don’t go. Don’t leave me.”
Once again, you looked at him unable to form an immediate response. You got it to an extent; the fear of being alone was almost incapacitating and you weren’t quite believing your own words as you spoke them, but finally you gave in, “Okay, I’ll stay.”
Choso’s eyes lit up with a strange mix of relief and almost possessive hope and it wasn’t long before you found yourself locked up in his strong arms yet again. This time his hold on you however felt stronger, almost imprisoning as though letting you go would mean the end of the world.
As you sat there, wrapped up in his embrace and secured within the confines of his taut body, you realise that once again, something had changed between the two of you. His hold on you wasn’t physical, but emotional and it was very unlikely that you were going to go home anytime soon.
It was as fate was triggered by you accidentally stumbling upon him because in the midst of it, you ended up giving something that he didn’t know he needed.
And now that he had it, he would never let you go.

Brain worm! 🪱 Just a lil silly somethin written in a daze.
Eddie had to wrench the wheel back so he didn't run the fucking van into a tree.
Did he seriously, seriously just see what he thought he just saw?
As soon as there was a gap in the road Eddie swung the van around and pulled into the gas station he had just passed, trying to keep as low a profile as possible.
Which was no mean feat considering the state of his catalytic converter but once he'd pulled up into a dark corner, a glance in the wing mirror told him he hadn't been spotted.
It also told him that, yes. He'd been correct on his initial passing glance. He was actually seeing this shit.
Eddie glanced down at his clothes. Ripped up jeans, his 'Hell Awaits' Slayer t-shirt depicting a giant inverted pentagram, demons and hellfire, chains, rings, leather jacket, battle vest, boots.
Yeah, he looked sufficiently scary.
Night was starting to fall around him so he still went unnoticed as he slid carefully out of the van and made his way over to the two lone figures just barely lit up by the harsh artificial exterior lights.
He planted himself just behind, what looked like, some middle class dad type who was standing just a little too close for comfort.
Eddie crossed his arms and spoke to the second figure barking out in the lowest tone of voice he could muster.
"Just what the fuck do you think you're doing, young man?"
The middle class dad whipped around. The second his eyes landed on Eddie he had a look on his face like the devil himself had just manifested behind him.
Without a second of wasted time he scampered away, tail between his legs, leaving Mike Wheeler standing there, wide eyed, pale faced and terrified.
Good.
"Edd-" Mike swallowed, slowly backing away as Eddie advanced. "What are you doing here?"
Mike's back hit the wall and Eddie took one more step forward, looming over him. "You don't get to ask questions, Wheeler. You get to answer them. Now I'm only going to ask this one more time: Just what THE FUCK are you doing out here?"
"N-nothing! We were... I was just-"
There was a clatter and some hushed expletives before the rest of The Party appeared around the corner.
"He's not here alone!" Dustin shouted, apparently under the impression that that was going to calm Eddie down in any way at all.
"And you think that makes this better, does it?"
"Yes! Safety in numbers!"
"There is no safety in whatever the hell I just witnessed!" Eddie exploded. "There is no safety in being at a remote gas station on the outskirts of town at night and talking to strange men for whatever reason!"
The kids all looked to be in various stages of shock, clearly not expecting Eddie to lay into them so fiercely but he didn't care. He refused to feel bad for them.
"Tell me, oh braniacs, what would have happened if someone had come along and snatched Little Wheeler up, huh? Would you have chased after the car on your bikes?" He sneered. "How would you have contacted anyone? How long would it take someone to get here? What if one of you had been attacked? Or robbed? Or murdered? What would you have done then?! How could you all be so stupid?"
"It's not stupid! We weren't being stupid!" Dustin shouted back. "We have our walkies-!"
Eddie laughed, cold and mean and so, so angry but Dustin continued to dig his own grave.
"You all never let us try anything! You never give us a sip of beer or a smoke or any of your weed which we know you still have-"
"Watch it, Henderson." His voice was low and dangerous.
"So we were just trying to get someone to buy something for us, that's all!"
"Oh that's all? That's all, is it? And you have money to pay for this purchase?"
Dustin scoffed. "Of course."
"So tell me, what would have happened if someone went in there and bought you your beer but then decided that wasn't payment enough? What would you have done if he started asking or demanding something else?"
"Like what?"
"Oh I don't know, what could a grown man possibly want with a fifteen year old little boy?" Eddie shook his head. "You know what, I'm not having this conversation out here. Get in the van."
"But... our bikes-"
"GET IN THE FUCKING VAN, HENDERSON!"
Eddie observed in stony silence, his face thunderous as the kids all loaded their bikes into the back of the van before they scuttled in themselves, quiet and cowed.
He slammed the drivers side door closed before turning his key in the ignition and pulling out of the gas station, the silence in the car suffocating, bouncing off the walls.
"Um..." They were nearly halfway back to Hawkins by the time Will's small voice cut through the air. "You're not going to tell our parents, are you?"
Eddie looked back at him in the rear view mirror. The kids were all watching his reaction with worry and Eddie refused to drop his anger in the face of Baby Byers. Not this time. Not for this. He had to stay angry because if he stopped being angry he might just lose himself in what if's.
"No. I'm not going to tell your parents."
The kids all sighed in relief, somehow still believing they were being let off the hook.
"But I am going to tell Steve."
The explosion nearly shook the van. The kids were all screaming, begging, nearly crying not to tell him.
"No! No, Eddie, please!"
"You can't tell him, he'll kill us!"
"Yeah, then he'll bring us back from the dead just to kill us again!"
"You can't do this to us!"
"You know what he's like, Eddie! You can't sell us out to him like that!"
"I can and I will!"
"Can you... can you- shit. Can you please tell him, like, gently? So he doesn't freak the fuck out? He's your boyfriend, he'll listen to you!"
"You all are in no position to be asking for favours right now." Eddie brought the car to a stop in the Harrington driveway. "So here's how it's going to go. We are going to go inside. You are going to tell Steve exactly what just happened. Then the two of us are going to explain to you exactly why what you all just pulled was so monumentally dangerous. Whatever he decides to do with you all after that is up to him. He is your babysitter. You all bestowed that title on him. I am just the babysitter's boyfriend. It's out of my hands."
"Oh, but... you could be our babysitter too?" Dustin tried, a clear and pathetic attempt to make the incoming shitstorm go smoother.
"Not a chance, Henderson." Eddie hopped out and made his way around, throwing open the back doors of the van and gesturing to the now open front door where an extremely distinctive swoopy haired silhouette stood. "Go and face your fate."

Sorry 🏹
accidentally sending your best friend a nude
w/c: 1.8K
pairing: kate bishop x f!reader
tags: 18+ smut. nudes, sexting, mutual masturbation, audios
——
You had spent the last half hour taking raunchy pictures of yourself sending them back and forth to this guy you were talking to.
It hadn't been too long with this guy but you were in a giving mood, and desperate to cum off praise and compliments.
But this man was dragging ass so you were just scrolling through different apps. Mid yawn you tapped on the message notification that showed up on your phone. You selected a picture and sent it not realizing the message didn't come from him. And that you hadn't exactly sent the picture to him either.
On the other receiving end of the picture was actually your best friend Kate who quickly gasped, eyes nearly falling out, and whose cheeks had quickly grown warm. She should've looked away, turned her phone off, pretend she didn't see it. Literally anything.
But she couldn't keep her eyes away from it. She couldn't keep her eyes away from you.
You were laying down on your side, your tits pressed together with your left hand squeezing your left breast making it appear to be even bigger. She bit her lip and squeezed her thighs together, already feeling arousal build between her legs.
She really couldn't help it. And it definitely didn't help that she has already had a huge crush on you. The strongest of feelings that one shouldn't have for their best friend.
So how could she be blamed when something like this happens to her? Almost as if it was pulled straight out of her wet dreams or manifestations.
You let out another yawn, wiping your eyes and going back to your screen awaiting his message only to notice you accidentally sent it to Kate, who innocently messaged you asking if you wanted to watch a movie tonight.
You burst out laughing and shake your head, oh shit.
You frantically begin typing, feeling bad but not too embarrassed.
y/n: SO SORRY KATIE
MY BADD
Kate saw the message pop up at the top of her screen as she was still ogling at how beautiful you were. How badly she wanted to caress your skin. Touch you. Feel you under her fingertips.
In her mouth.
She was practically drooling and then realized she had to say something. She couldn't think of something clever or funny to say and really she wanted to thank you but thought that'd be too much.
k: it's fine!!
you're good^-^
That was too cringey even for her, she thought and groaned, burying her face in to her pillow until another notification dings.
y/n: eyes got wonky my bad <33
Kate sighed and her eyes were practically in little hearts as she stared at your text.
k: it's alright I promise<3
plus you look good..:)
You chuckled and flipped over to lay on your back. She's so cute.
y/n: yeah think so?
You bit your lip and couldn't help but flirt, your horny mood hadn't exactly disappeared. And what could go wrong with flirting with your best friend you always found hot?
Kate's heart skips a beat and her whole face turns red. She gulps and tries to hide the smile appearing from her lips but ultimately lets it take over.
k: absolutely
you always look good
You immediately start typing again, subconsciously squeezing your thighs.
y/n: yknow you always look good too..
Kate lets out a shaky breath then trails a hand over her body, imagining its your hand as she slips it under her sweats landing on her clit. She rubs small circles on it, teasing herself and imagining it were your fingers instead.
k: I think that guy didn't deserve those pics you sent him...
You bite your lip and slip your own hand back down and under your panties, still being in the mood but it being a little different this time. What's a better excuse than to finally do something with your best friend you've always had the hots for.
y/n: yeah?
you gonna volunteer in his place?
You weren't sure where your newfound confidence came from but you weren't going to question it.
She groans and rubs her clit faster, laying her head back into her pillow.
k: maybe..
I wouldn't complain..
She didn't have to say another word, but instead of sending her something you'd already taken you take a brand new one for her.
You take out the camera app and position is over your body, showing your tits off as well as your panties being in clear view. You leave your hand there and continue rubbing your clit, your pace going faster as you take a picture.
You bring your face back down and send it to her before quickly sliding your panties off.
As soon as the message came in Kate moaned and quickly took off her sweats, her body already feeling so hot.
Yours was feeling warm and tingly, you haven't been this excited since the time you watched her work out before an archery competition. But this was much different.
This was intimate and didn't feel real.
Kate took off her shirt and opened up the camera up, covering her own tits with her hand as she bites her lip at the camera and only shows a tiny bit of her panties.
She quickly sent the picture and frantically came up with compliments. You were just so beautiful.
k: you're so fucking beautiful
literally a goddess
please let me worship you
you're so perfect
You moaned looking at her perfect body before before letting out a whimper as each text came in back to back.
Your fingers made their way to your clit, then down to your slit feeling all you're slick as you bring them back up to rub circles against your bundle of nerves.
You bite your lip and snap another picture from above, showing your lower half. Legs spread and a hand right in between them.
You try to type with your left hand but you're apparently not as skilled as Kate is.
y/n: yuo look so ficking good
I need you to tiuch me
You hit send and then immediately send the picture right after.
Kate moaned and took her panties off as fast as she should before dipping her fingers in to her folds that just so happened to be drenched in her own arousal.
She teased her hole with her middle finger and her eyes rolled into the back of her head as she was imagining it was you teasing her soaked cunt.
You then press record on the voice memo option and slide a finger in, letting out a whimper as you slip it inside you.
You then slide it out then back in. Repeating just so your arousal would be able to be heard for her.
"K-Kate- f-fuckk- need you." You moaned and continued pumping it inside you.
You then stop the recording and send it, continuing your pace until she sends something back.
As soon as the audio was sent and popped up on Kate's screen she turned the volume up and bites her lip to keep her voice down.
She then started fucking herself at the same pace you did it and just kept looping it after her first listen.
You sounded so pretty. And she couldn't believe how wet you were. Because of her.
She had made you this wet.
She's the reason you were fucking yourself at this very moment.
She started to record, and firstly added a second finger and then fucked herself faster. She was just if not more wet than you and it was going to be heard very clearly as she held up her phone over her legs.
She moaned out your name and clenched against her fingers as she started going deeper and was pretending you were the one finger fucking her.
"You sound so pretty- mm fuck so fucking good- p-perfect." She moans and bucks her hips up, needing more.
"Baby you're just so perfect- god I need you." She whimpers and spreads her legs wider, filling herself up deeper.
She then ends the audio and slows her fingers down, sending the audio and calming herself down.
You immediately pressed play and heard how wet she was. You let out a whimper when her angelic voice moaned out your name. It sounded so different in a moan.
You needed to always hear her say it like that. It was pure gold, music to your ears, all you've ever needed in life.
You began recording again and closed your eyes, sliding another finger inside you before slamming them into you. "Katie!" You cried out and let your body shiver, imagining her fingers working their magic on you.
Oh how badly you needed her.
You were dripping down to your asshole and just letting out as many moans and whimpers you could for her.
"Need you- mmm need you so badly Katie. I need your fingers. Need your mouth- fuck!" You moaned sunk you head into your pillow.
"Mmm Katie- your fingers feel so good inside me." You cried and fucked yourself harder, the sounds only elevating for Kate's pleasure.
You hit send and Kate felt her orgasm build in her lower abdomen as soon as she heard you cry out her name.
She lets out shaky moans and pumps her fingers harder, slightly curling them up to hit her g spot. You were going as fast and felt your orgasm approach as you heard her pretty moans from the audio she sent.
She lets her thighs shaking and she quickly typed into her phone.
kate: m gna cum
so close
you quickly typed back and moaned, fucking yourself harder.
y/n: me too
please cum w me
Kate moaned and nodded as if you were with her. You dropped your phone and continued fucking yourself when your eyes began to flutter and your legs began shaking.
"Kate." You moaned and felt yourself clench against your fingers.
She was moaning your name like her life depended on it when suddenly her orgasm hits and she arches her back, shutting her eyes and lets her legs freely shake as she rides her own high.
You came at the exact same time, except yours hit you hard and your entire body was shaking while you let out cries of her name. You slowed down and covered your mouth with your open hand as your body continued shaking while you calm your breathing down.
Kate slipped her fingers out of her before taking a deep breath and grinning like a love sick fool.
That was almost as good as her wet dream about you went.
She then typed on her phone and couldn't wipe that smile from her face.
kate: that was incredible
think we need to do this more often...
She crossed her fingers and prayed you agreed or else she might just have to disappear off the face of the planet.
Your eyes fluttered shut but opened when you felt the ding.
Your heart then filled with butterflies as you read her text and slipper your fingers out slowly.
y/n: yes please
was toooo good
so.... movie tonight still up as an offer?
Kate quickly jumped out of bed only putting on her sweatpants and the shirt she took off earlier. She grabbed her door and practically sprinted out of her front door.
kate: onw!!!!!

Gone (Pt.2)
Yandere!Cody R. x Black! Fem! Reader
Warning: Once again Minors DNI / 18+ Only, Murder, Unhealthy Obsessions, blood, weapons, psychological horror themes, mentions of cheating, mentions of sexual behavior
~
“Cody I’m ok you don’t have to give me your jacket.” Y/N sighed as she walked along the strip malls with Cody, who was smiling holding her shopping bags. “I have to, I don’t want you catching a cold princess.” He said warmly and kissed her forehead as they continued to walk along, it’s been months since the disappearance of her ex. No trace of where he could possibly be. The police were cold on the trail and he had no immediate family to contact to see if he ran off back to his home town. There was also another disappearance as well, a 24 year old women was missing for quite some time and her family was very worried. They were doing Search teams for months looking for anything but the trail went cold as well. But her mother, her mother didn’t wanna give up. Across the way of where Cody parked his car, an elderly woman around 58, was parked and watching. Drinking some water and just shedding tears. She knew that Cody was the last person to see her daughter. And she had a bad feeling about him just by his smile. “What are you hiding?…” she sighed and she saw Y/N getting kisses and love like nothing happened. “Isn’t that….” She got her phone pulling up a video of an old news episode from few months back, her pleading for people to help find her boyfriend. And her eyes widened in fear, seeing Cody right behind her holding her hand in support. Does that girl have something to do with her Daughter disappearing?
She saw that they drove off and she started her car fast following behind them having a low profile. “I don’t know who you were to my Stacy. But I will find out where she is…” she shed more tears remembering her daughter’s smile. And continued her stakeout.
Y/N and Cody pulled up to her home and she just smiled the whole time. Looking in Cody’s sweet eyes, “You’ve been nothing but so sweet and kind Cody. Thank you so much.” Y/N said holding Cody’s hands. “I’d do anything for you Y/N please remember that.” He said and brought her in for a hug. Taking in her sweet smell. “I’ll text you in the morning is that ok?” She nodded and she kissed him on the lips softly. Cody’s cheeks were red, his body shook in excitement, he wanted her so badly. But he had to be patient. He knows that she’s right where he wants her. She pulled away and smiled walking out the car and closing the door waving bye and getting her keys out. Cody was a reck, this is all he dreamed of ever since he saw her. Ever since he got rid of that obstacle, it’s all been heading into pure manifestations of what he wants his life to be. For Y/N to be his little wife. No matter the cost. He rolled off some time later making sure she got in the house and the car that Stacy’s mom was in parked and she went to her door knocking and looking around. Y/N heard the door and out of a robe as she was about to head to bed, walking to the door and opening it till the chain lock stopped the door. “Yes?” The mother was scared to speak but sighed getting out her phone and showing her Stacy. Shedding tears, sobbing some, “Please I know you don’t know me, and I don’t know who you are to that man, but he was last seen with my Stacy. She’s gone and I need help finding her.” Y/N paid attention to the picture seeing the woman. Her smile so sweet, just like hers. “…why have I seen her before…” Y/N swore that she’s seen Stacy in a snap before with her ex, saying they were only friends. “I don’t know her ma’am-“ “Please don’t lie to me. He knows her.” She was implying Cody. But Y/N thought she meant Mike, her ex that was still missing. “Ma’am please you look tired. Come in I have some coffee.” She hesitated but she wanted out the cool breeze and went in.
There was silence for a while and Y/N sighed irritated. “She was seeing mark for almost half a year…” The mother nodded. “I met him, he brought me flowers and he took her on a date. Rushed her some saying that he had work in the morning.” Y/N sucked her teeth, “He had an Afternoon job.” The silence was there again. “Look I’m sorry that he cheated on you, but I need to find my daughter. And that other man, with blonder hair you were with tonight he was with her as well.” “Ma’am Cody doesn’t know Stacy-“ “How do you know?” She said low. “Because he would have told me if he was…he was with someone…” she felt cold and stupid. A high chance that this girl messed with her ex and Cody were dangling in front of her. “I’m sorry your ex did that to you but I need to find my daughter. Do you have is phone or-“. “I don’t have anything. He just up and left one day. All I have from him is this stupid fucking note.” She said in anger throwing the neatly folded piece of paper on the counter. Y/N sighed and shed tears, was Cody lying as well? Hiding that he was with the same woman that was with her ex?
Cody stared at the screen, tapping his foot just watching the camera as it picked up the conversation of Stacy’s mother and Y/N. He was heated. Seeing in that kitchen, tears falling from Y/N, made him red. “Princess please don’t cry. I’m so sorry…” he muttered over and over again. As he continued to mutter he pulled out a gun from his drawer at the desk angry at himself of what he has done just to get info and get back at her ex mark. He gritted his teeth and pointed the gun at the corner, in that corner was a tired wounded but still alive Stacy. She could barely see from her swollen eyes that he was pointing a gun at her. All she did was cry. “Shut up!” He ceased his mumbling screaming at her getting up, “You did this. You started this shit. I’ve seen the text I’ve seen how evil you are towards her. You deserve everything that I’ve done to you!” He continued to yell. He was drowning in his own anger, he threw his chair in the corner with Stacy and she whined in pain. He glanced at the computer again, his eyes softened as he saw her mother comfort Y/N. “I’m so sorry baby. I won’t do it again. I promise. I just want you happy princess.” And with no warning. Two shots were fired. His anger subsided. He controlled her breathing and tears fell. “She’s gone. The woman who ruined your life baby is gone. I’m so sorry.” He said and looked at the lifeless body. “Baby imma go clean up. And I’ll text you in the morning like I promised.” It’s like he’s talking to himself but really he’s playing back her words in his head. Her sweet comments and replies help him relax and he needs to hear them. No matter what. He went to get rid of the body dragging it to the basement, a cold look in his eye and no words. Mark was still alive, looking up and seeing the lifeless body. He knew it was Stacy. “You shed a tear for this bitch and I will slit your throat and watch the blood seep out.” He hissed. Mark kept his head down terrified. “You had the most perfect woman in the world, and you fucked her? You don’t deserve to live.” Mark could feel cold steel on the back of his head, pissing himself. “Pathetic.” Cody said and pistol whipped him back into unconsciousness.
“She’s gonna be mine.”

Tighnari | Ephialtes
ıllı Synopsis: Nightmares can impact a person’s state of mind. It often terrorize us even in the waking world. For the calm and collected Tighnari, how would he face the night terrors that displayed his greatest fears?
ıllı Genre: Reverse Comfort, Romance, Slight Angst
ıllı Notes: Gender Neutral Reader
ıllı Warning: Use of pet names
ıllı A/N: I’m sorry it took this long to finish and publish this one. Work had been hectic these days, and it was difficult to adjust to new places. Still, I’m glad I finally finished this! Oh, and goodluck to those who will be pulling for this patch!
Dreams are images and stories the mind creates when people sleep. They are manifestations of the unconscious desires, fears, and wishes for the present.
For the people of Sumeru, they prided themselves on the fact that they did not dream and treated it as a sign of maturity— leaving behind traces of their childish selves. However, that notion changed when the Dendro Archon was saved by the infamous Traveler from the clutches of the scheming Sages. The all-knowing leaders of the Akademiya were far too ambitious that they forgot the true meaning of wisdom. They were forced to vacate their positions and repent for their sins of locking up their god to act in her stead and abusing the Akasha System. With them gone, the young goddess decided to halt the operation of the Akasha to prevent similar incidents in the future and let the people of Sumeru seek true knowledge and wisdom by themselves.
Like a newly born fowl, the people of Sumeru had difficulty finding their footing at the loss of a convenient tool. It took time to adjust to the changes established in the nation. Students started to extensively utilize the library, gathering tons of books back to their tables to search for notable information for their theses. Merchants and buyers were no different, but fortunate as it is, public libraries were readily available for their perusal.
The Nation of Wisdom changed not only in its government and economy, but also with dreams. Their sleep was now accompanied by dreams. In the vivid world of their mind, they could envision ideas they could not in the waking world. Adults who found themselves exhausted at the end of the day found solace in their rest. However, not all dreams were rose-colored. Those who did not escape the clutches of nightmare were plunged into the darkness where they come face-to-face with their trepidation.
Forest Watcher Tighnari was one of its victims.
“Tighnari! Look out!” The fennec fox heard from behind. Before he could process what was happening, a hand shoved him to the ground followed by an agonizing scream. His eyes turned to the person who pushed him away and saw your electrified figure. The pain was evident in your eyes as you desperately tried to keep your consciousness up. However, your vision slowly darkened, and you lost feeling in your arms and legs.
“(Y/N)!” Tighnari called, catching your body in his arms. He could feel the electricity bite him, but he did not care. He shouted your name once more, but it fell on deaf ears. Patches of scorched skin littered your body, and his hands shook in fear. This scene was all too familiar.
‘T-This… Is this what happened back in Pardis Dhyai?’ He thought to himself. His dual-toned orbs quickly glanced around. Dead Fatui soldiers could be seen ahead, but the glass-stained dome of Pardis Dhyai and the Padisarahs around confirmed his assumption.
Tighnari bit his lips in dread and reached out to check for your pulse. It was weak. His heart constricted at the sight of your fallen body. Losing you was and would never be an option. Immediately, he took out his first aid kid and started working on your injuries. Weakly opening your eyes, you gently held his left cheek.
“I… I’m sorry, ‘Nari. I think… this is it for…me.” Tighnari lost it. He clutched your hand and assured you that he would treat you. That you two would be home in no time, safe and sound. A small smile made its way to your lips before your hold debilitated. He sought to save you, but it was too late.
‘No… No! No! Please no!’
The Forest Watcher woke up with a start, huffing out as he searched for your figure beside him. There you were, sleeping soundly as the night went on. He let out a shaky relieved sigh before settling back into bed and pulling you closer to his chest. His hands were clammy, but having you in his arms was enough to calm him down. Feeling the heat, you opened your eyes and noticed the uneasy look on your lover’s face.
“‘Nari…? Are you all right?” You rasped, holding his right cheek in worry. His ears twitched at your voice but opted to nuzzle in your warmth. He simply continued his ministrations. Unable to fully understand his actions, you let him be.
“I’m all right. Sleep some more, Little Lotus. I’ll always be here.” He muttered. Eventually, you drifted back to sleep with the help of the sound of steady heartbeat. Tighnari smiled and kissed the crown of your head.
You were here. Alive in his arms.
The following day, you were met with a finicky Tighnari who accompanied you on patrols and fussed over the smallest of injuries. It was unlike him to be overprotective, but it felt like a switch had been flipped for him to act as such. You did not know where it stemmed from, so you let the fennec fox worry but not without assuring him that your injuries were nothing to be upset with. Nonetheless, he still applied ointments to the scratches and light wounds on your arms and shin.
“Thanks, Love. It really doesn’t hurt, but let’s go home and help out Collei with her homework. I could tell you left her a challenging one.” You teased. He sighed and let a small smile paint his lips. Dragging him home, you swiftly called out to the young lady that you would help her out with the task Tighnari assigned for the day.
Days later, you met up with a junior from your Darshan who was curious about the Forest Ranger’s responsibilities. It seemed like she had been having difficulties deciding whether she should continue with her current course or shift to another. It had been a lengthy discussion, and at one point, she even considered joining the Adventurer’s Guild instead. You urged her to take a three-day immersion with the guild, rangers, and research facility of the other Darshan she had been contemplating shifting to.
Tighnari heard about it and was curious about what you would do if you were in her position. You pondered about it.
“If I’m in the Adventurer’s Guild, I’ll be able to meet new people along the way. I get to travel far and wide despite the dangerous missions I may receive. Not to mention, Cyno told me that they hold interesting events every now and then. If I recall correctly, he said that they’re holding the King of Invocation event this year. Isn’t that interesting? ‘Nari, do you— Why do you look like a constipated Kaveh?” You raised an eyebrow in concern. His ears were up, his tail was raised, his forehead was scrunched up, and the frown on his lips was like that of Kaveh’s whenever he was frustrated with Alhaitham.
“Being a Forest Ranger is better. I’m sure you’ve seen that. We get to interact with nature, help out people who traverse the forest, protect the fauna and flora of Sumeru, and even research interesting stuff from the desert.” He chided. You tilted your head in confusion.
“Uh-huh… Where is this coming from?”
“I’m not yet done. The Forest Rangers also get to eat fresh fruits and vegetables. That’s with the consideration of overconsumption in line too. Also, we—“ You figured he must have misunderstood your answer that you would shift to being an adventurer instead. Holding his hand, you asked him to sit down for a while.
“I’m not considering it, Love. Being a Forest Ranger with you here is a blessing for me. Why would I ask for more? So you don’t have to feel queasy about it.” You replied. Tighnari was silent for a moment before apologizing.
Shaking your head, you took out a scroll from your hand and laid it on his lap. It was a layout of the giant ruin guard in Mount Devantaka. Strangely enough, a cyan Aranara appeared before you and gladly assisted you around. You got to see the flourishing plants underground and even explore the insides of the magnificent structure residing in the mountain.
“I still can’t believe an Aranara appeared before you. When will it be my turn?” He pouted. You laughed and patted his head.
“Maybe next time, ‘Nari. Maybe.”
The following weeks had been uneventful for the both of you. Wake up, eat breakfast, shower, go on patrol, come home, cook, shower, and sleep again. This mundane cycle along with occasional visits from Cyno and Kaveh repeated itself like a Samsara. It soon changed when the scholars from the Akademiya nominated your lover as Amurta’s representative for the InterDarshan Competition.
Tighnari was reluctant to accept such proposition as he seemed to see no benefit from it aside from spending time with his friends, but you pointed out that it could serve as a catalyst to spread the word about the seminar on Sumeru’s fauna you two had cooked up days prior. You presumed that people might have already gotten bored of the usual talk on plants, so why not tackle the discourse on animals considering that there were quite a number of people interested in keeping pets around the city. They just lacked the information on how to properly take care of them.
“I guess you’re right. Well then, I’ll participate in the games, but I honestly don’t expect to win. Just spreading the word about our upcoming seminar is enough. Maybe you could invite Candace and Dehya to our talk too?” He urged. Your eyes lit up at the idea and immediately planned the date go personally travel to Aaru Village.
“Oh, I should bring some cookies for them! Dehya had been bugging me about it.” You grinned. Tighnari shook his head and kissed the crown of your head. You were too adorable for him.
“Sure, Little Lotus. Let’s go to sleep?” He asked. You nodded your head and pulled him to bed. He curled his tail around you and not even five minutes have passed, you were out like light. The warmth he exuded comforted you, a reminder that he would always be there. That he loved you to bits.
Tighnari’s eyes lingered a bit longer on your relaxed figure. His thoughts made him question what he did to be this lucky to have you as his partner. When he was still a student, entering into a relationship did not cross his mind. He was simply focused on the goal of graduating. His parents would ask him here and there, but it was extremely rare. Only when he spent time with you in your final year did he find love.
“You don’t know how grateful I am to have you, (Y/N). You make every day worth it.” He whispered, sleep finally creeping into his mind.
‘I can’t envision a world without you in it.’
Time ticked slowly that night. Seconds turned to minutes before they turned to hours. Tighnari had been in a relaxed state, unknowing of the night terror ready to visit him. His dream that night started off normal with you and him visiting Vimara Village to inspect a leyline problem around it. Nothing seemed to be wrong until you met up with Alhaitham in Port Ormos for a special package from the desert.
You appeared normal to him, holding the same soft smile he admired, but Alhaitham had a different look. He suspected something was wrong when the man clad in green dipped down and whispered in your ear. It was too quiet for him to pick up, but based on the reaction on your face, it was something serious. You nervously gazed at Tighnari’s dual-toned eyes, gulping down the nervousness and grabbing his hand to pull him to a secluded area.
“I… Tighnari, I— I’m sorry. I think we should break up.” You finally revealed. The Forest Watcher was stomped. He calmly demanded the reason for it.
“Care to tell me the reason, Little Lotus? Why are you suddenly pulling this stunt?” His voice lightly cracked at the end of it. Tears trailed down your cheeks.
“I just don’t see the future I wanted with you anymore. I’ve grown tired and—“
“And you think that future is now with Alhaitham? Is that what you mean to say, (Y/N)?” A dangerous glint in his eyes shone, and your voice hitched at the intense gaze. The words you wished to voice died in your lips, but courage allowed you to at least respond with a weak nod.
Tighnari was stunned. He did not expect to see the person he loved for nearly five years slowly drift away from his arms and move to a new person. He did not know where it went wrong. He did not recognize the signs. Heck, it felt like his reality was distorted by his fears.
“I’m sorry.”
“(Y/N), don’t—!” He reached out, only to wake up in the real world. Sweat rolled down his forehead as he breathed out heavily. His hair stuck to his forehead, so he pushed them back before glancing at you. His mind was still transfixed at the dream he witnessed, too surreal for his heart.
‘I… They’re not going to leave me, right? They promised me, and I vowed the same. But what if they were already suffocating without me knowing? What if—‘ His thoughts raged on for the night. Unconsciously, he kept a tight hold on your hand. Sleep evaded him, and even when he felt exhausted, he feared closing his eyes. He presumed that if he were to fall into a dream state again, he would truly lose you.
Soon, the sun came and met the horizon, lighting the room you two shared. A stray light hit your face, and you were forced to wake up. You thought Tighnari would still be asleep, but there he was, looking disheartened and worried. You groggily sat up and asked what was wrong. The fennec fox reluctantly looked at you before nuzzling his head to your neck.
“A nightmare. A very bad one.” He muttered. It was distressing to see him act like a hurt kit, so you gently combed through his hair and assured him that it was just a dream, a figment. He wanted to believe it, he really did, but somewhere deep in his heart, he had doubts.
“I’ll go get us some warm milk. Stay here for a moment, okay, Love?” You incited, but your lover remained firm with his grip, so, with no choice, you slowly dragged him with you to the kitchen. He littered feather kisses on your neck while his tail wrapped itself around your shin. It tickled you, causing bouts of chuckles to erupt from your lips. Tighnari smiled hearing your laughter. It was music to his ears.
After drinking the warm milk you prepared and eating a light breakfast, you two went out on patrol. There were a few rangers you had to send to the desert to help out with the Akademiya’s plan regarding the educational establishments to be placed in Aaru Village. They were there along with Kshahrewar graduates to help identify the best locations to build the school and library. After receiving the reports, you had to deliver them personally to Alhaitham (he was about to step down in two days, so everybody in position was doing the best they could to use his assistance).
The fennec fox felt conflicted. He remembered his dream again, but he could not let his irrationality get the best of him. The Acting Grand Sage was still his friend, and he knew that Alhaitham would never do such a thing. Reluctantly, he came along with you.
“I presume everything is going well in the desert? If that’s so, we should be able to start the construction soon. Have you and Tighnari contacted Kaveh about this?” The gray-head asked. You glanced back at Tighnari who seemed distracted.
“Tighnari? Is there something wrong?” You asked. As if pulled out of his stupor, the Forest Watcher stammered an answer and asked Alhaitham to repeat his question. Not minding, he asked if they contacted Kaveh to help with the construction.
“I sent him a mail two days ago. I’m still waiting for his response considering that he went to the desert a week before we could confirm the list of rangers we could dispatch to the desert. We’ll get back to you once we get his answer. Is there anything else we need to remember for this project?” He inquired. You watched the Forest Watcher’s behavior intently. He still seemed distracted and worried about something. It would not be good to have him like this, and if you were, to be honest, it felt like if you did not ask him what the problem was, he would drift away. Some place far from your grasp.
So, after your talk with Alhaitham, you pulled Tighnari back to Ghandarva Ville. And as if the gods were on your side, you spotted Collei and Amir not far from the hut. You asked them to take charge for a moment while you tended to your lover. They raised an eyebrow at your words, but you told them that the Forest Watcher had not been feeling well.
“Is Master all right, (Y/N)? He’s not… sick is he?” Collei asked. You smiled and patted her head.
“He’s not, but I think he’s mentally exhausted. I’ll leave the rest of the tasks to you two. If you need help, don’t hesitate to call me. I’ll go. You hear me?” They nodded. With a nod, you returned to Tighnari who was in a daze again.
“Let’s go inside, ‘Nari. I’ll prepare the incense to help out with your anxiety. If… If you’re all right with it, please tell me what is troubling you.” You urged.
You had the Forest Watcher sit down and talk to you about his problems. He was hesitant, saying that it was stupid and ridiculous, but you assured him that you would listen to his concern no matter what.
“It’s… really just a stupid nightmare. It’s not even worth mentioning.” He replied.
“Love, you would not feel this distracted if it was just that. Plus, you know that I’m your partner. I share whatever burdens you have.” You retorted, placing your right hand on his cheek. He unconsciously held it closer to him before finally elaborating on the content of dreams. A small smile erupted from your face, happy that he was willing to open up.
As you listened intently to his dream, you could see just how insecure and fearful it made him. The thought of you leaving him like that perturbed him. So as gently as possible, you placed a soft kiss on his lips, cheeks, and forehead before nudging your nose into his.
“Thank you for telling me your fears, ‘Nari. I really appreciate the trust you have given me. It must have been scary, but know this, Love. There’s no way I’ll ever leave you. You’re stuck with me for eternity. Not like I’ll let you leave. Tighnari, you have my heart and being. I am all yours, and there is nobody in this world I would love except you. After all, whose sass did I love to bits? Whose smart and beauty did I revere? Nothing but yours. These dreams of yours? They could go to hell for all I care. I love you, Tighnari. Don’t ever forget that.” You voiced, adoration decorating your face. Tighnari almost teared up at your words. He could not believe that you were truly his as he was yours. Your kindness and patience knew no bounds, and he was grateful for it.
“Thank you, Little Lotus, for loving me and staying with me. I could not ask for anyone better than you. I love you too.” He muttered, embracing your figure against him. You smiled and kissed his nose once again.
“Next time, don’t hide things like this from me, all right? I’ll worry.” He smiled and nodded. He forgot that communication was the key to a healthy relationship. You were a great listener and would never think of even the smallest fear he had as stupid. He was right to love you with all of his being.

caught up in his web: spiderman! & dark!nagi au
pairing: spiderman!nagi seishiro & dark!nagi x fem!reader genre: fluff, angst, darkness-inside-of-you-manifested kinda thing, some action ig wc: 5,800+ a/n: hello! this piece is a collaboration between me and @vviridescent we found this beautiful nagi fanart which sparked our inspiration to write this fic. it also has some influences from Sam Raimi & Tobey Maguire's Spiderman 3. hope you enjoy!🙂
Lately, there’s been a relentless buzz about your neighbourhood’s superhero– Spiderman– as he calls himself. He dons a mask and a red-and-blue tight suit with black webbings all over, and he maneuvers through the city using his web that comes out of his wrists.
He’s the talk of the town because not only does he look cool, he perfectly saves everyone who needs his help. Children, women, men, the elderly. You name it, he saves them from accidents, criminals, and all kinds of dangers lurking in the city.
But no one knows who the person is behind the mask. There have been endless speculations and theories on social media, TV, and newspapers. But no one seems to arrive at a conclusion without any solid evidence. No one knows the boy behind the Spiderman persona. No one except you.
Spiderman is none other than Nagi Seishiro– your classmate, your childhood best friend and most importantly, your boyfriend. His alter ego is a secret shared between just the two of you.
It all started when Nagi suddenly knocked rapidly at your window one night. You instantly jolted from where you sat on your bed, heart racing as a sense of urgency and panic in Nagi’s knock seeped through the glass.
“What happened?” You asked, right after pulling up the window. A look of concern etched across your face. The worry in your eyes seemed to mirror his uneasiness.
Nagi was sweating profusely and replied in a weak voice, “I got bit by a weird-looking spider.” He held onto the window sill with trembling hands.
“Let’s go to the hospital.” You insisted as you gently held his hands, examining him and the bite on his hand. If a spider bite was making him this sick, you were worried that it might escalate and get worse if there was no medical attention provided to him.
Nagi shook his head. “No… I just need to rest. I feel cold. It’s just a fever.”
“Nagi-” You started to protest but were cut off by him.
“Please. I don’t want to go to the hospital.”
Not in the mood to argue with him considering the state he was in, you reluctantly obliged and let him rest on your bed, nursing him throughout the night to the best of your ability.
The next morning, Nagi felt perfectly fine. Too perfect, actually.
When he had awoken from his slumber, his gaze fell upon you, sleeping soundly next to him. Not wanting to disturb your rest, he slowly got out of bed and examined himself in the mirror because he was feeling a bit too well-rested for someone who just had a fever the prior night.
He already had a good-looking and fit body, as expected from an athlete. But he was stunned to see that his torso and arms were even more chiseled than before. He was feeling perfectly healthy. His brows furrowed in confusion, trying to make sense of the change.
You woke up with a jolt when you felt that his presence was not beside you, but he excitedly called your name before you could even fully sit up from your bed.
“Y/N! Look!”
You turned your head to him and saw him without a shirt, flexing his muscles.Your concerns instantly turned into confusion.
“Nagi? What the hell? Why are you shirtless?” You stood up and grabbed a shirt– his shirt that he had left behind previously– from the closet nearby. “You’re gonna feel cold! Here, wear thi-”
“Look! I got buffer, for some reason.” Nagi exclaimed.
You narrowed your eyes and took a good look at your boyfriend this time and after a few seconds, you finally saw what he was talking about. It wasn’t a drastic change, but it was subtle enough to notice upon closer scrutiny.
“Huh? Wow…” was all you could say in surprise.
Throughout the next few weeks, Nagi discovered more changes happening to him and confided in you every single one of them. It was surreal–and yet exciting–when you suddenly found yourself watching him practice his spider skills a month after that night. Using his web to move from one place to another, crawling on walls that gradually got higher and higher, effortlessly punching things that flew meters away. You thought superheroes only existed in comic books and mangas, but here you are watching a fledgling one, and it’s none other than your very own boyfriend.
Once he felt well-practiced and proficient enough in his new otherworldly skills, he admitted to you that he wanted to use his powers for a noble cause– to make your surroundings a better and safer place.
“I hear you, and that would be amazing. But I can’t help but worry, Nagi. I think it’s going to be dangerous.” You folded your arms and frowned slightly, your voice laced with concern.
“Don’t worry, Y/N. I can handle it. I can handle everything: school, soccer, being Spiderman.” He reassured you with a smile. You can see the determination in his eyes, and you knew it would be fruitless to try to persuade him out of it. A part of you was also proud that your boyfriend wanted to make a positive impact using his powers.
“Spiderman?” You chuckled, amused at the name. “Is that your superhero name?”
“Yeah. Why?” He replied in a deadpan tone.
You chuckled. “Nothing. It’s cute.”
You take a few minutes to ponder on your next response.
“Okay. I trust you. But on one condition.” You stop walking to turn to him, bringing a more serious atmosphere between the two of you.
“You have to stop, or at least take a break, from this vigilante work once I see that it’s dangerous and you’re struggling to juggle everything. Okay? Promise me, Nagi.”
Instead of replying, he hugged you right after you finished. “Thank you, Y/N. I promise.”
You ruffle his hair after he lets go of the hug.
“Good boy. Now let’s go have your favorite lemon tea and some takoyaki.” You smiled at him
“I love you.” Nagi whispered, hugging you sideways as the two of you continued to walk. Somehow, you felt that it would be alright.
It’s been almost a year since Nagi began his part-time career as your friendly neighbourhood Spiderman. You are relieved because so far, everything has been smooth.
Nagi has not sustained any major injuries and has been able to balance school, soccer, and being Spiderman perfectly, as he said he would. And of course, his identity is still kept under the covers.
But everything was about to change when a tiny piece of meteorite containing a symbiote fell down on a spot where you and Nagi were spending time together that fateful night. Neither of you noticed it because of its small size. Unbeknownst to either of you, it sneakily latched itself onto Nagi’s bike when the two of you left the place.
Over the next few weeks, you started to observe some disappointing changes in Nagi’s personality and behaviour. He had become increasingly rude to not only you but also to others, including the teachers and his coach.
He despised studying and absolutely refused to do it when you invited him to your regular study sessions. On the soccer field, he started hogging the ball and fighting with his teammates. When reprimanded by the coach for his behaviour, he stormed out of soccer practice before it ended and eventually stopped attending it, which made Reo angry and disappointed.
He still donned the Spiderman suit to save people, but conflicting emotions swirled within you. You can’t deny that his once noble pursuit has become a toxic habit as he had begun using his superhero duty as an escape from his actual responsibilities: your relationship, his studies, people who cared for him and soccer.
Whenever you or Reo tried to reach out and talk to him about what’s going on, he would dismiss both of your concerns, walking out and going wherever he wants, stating that he has “something more important to do.” Reo has no clue what it means, but you do.
You found it extremely frustrating to not be able to get a hold of Nagi. For the first time, you felt him drifting away from you, and you couldn’t reach him. It hurts to see him slip away and be unable to bridge this growing gap between you and Nagi.
One fateful night, Nagi struggled to get home as he was feeling heavily delirious. Thinking it was just fatigue and fever, he decided to sleep it off, hoping that a good night's rest would make him feel refreshed. In his dream, he saw blurry visions of a glossy black substance that resembles a slime oozing out of his skin, and forming another… Nagi. A clear doppelganger of himself. Though, this counterpart has a sinister aura, bore a devious look on his face, has black hair, and instead of the usual Spiderman suit, this Nagi was clad in black. It didn’t seem like the friendly neighborhood Spiderman Nagi was. The counterpart then vanished in whips of smoke and the dream ended there.
Nagi woke up with a severe crushing migraine and body aches throughout his whole body. Even the simple act of just sitting up on his bed was a labour. He wasn’t sure what time of the day it was, or what even day it was. Fortunately, you walked into his room just in the nick of time. Your presence brought him a glimmer of relief.
“Baby?” He murmurs in a groggy and tired voice.
You quickly took a seat at the edge of the bed. “Nagi… you’re finally awake.” You replied, feeling a mix of relief and concern.
“Finally?” He asked, his brows furrowed in confusion
“You’ve been asleep for three days. Your fever won’t go down until just a few hours ago.” You explained.
“Oh… three days? Wow.” He says, trying to comprehend how fast time had flown and what exactly happened.
“Yes, three days…” You sniffle, startling Nagi and making him look at you right away.“And for the first day of those three days, you weren’t answering my calls and texts. I reached out to you like a hundred times. I was so worried!” You sobbed, spilling over all your bottled-up emotions.
“Oh no. Baby, please don’t cry-” Nagi’s concerns for you deepens.
“Also, it’s like I don’t know you anymore. What happened? Why did you change in just a short amount of time?” You finally look him in the eye, it feels like ages since the last time you were able to do that.
“I.. I don’t know. My mind was just all over the place, I think? I felt… detached. From everyone, from everything.” Nagi struggles to explain, as he himself doesn’t know exactly.
“That’s not an excuse, though.” You frowned. “You hurt me, and others too. I had to constantly apologize to them in your place because I couldn’t bear other people hating you, or talking bad about you.”
“I’m sorry. I’m so sorry, baby. I promise, I’ll make it up to you and to everyone. I’m sorry. Please forgive me.” Nagi pleads, on the verge of tears as he wraps you in an embrace. He has never felt this guilty and distraught ever in his life. You’re the only one who has this effect on him.
“But are you okay now? Is your mind clear? Do you not feel detached anymore like you were saying earlier? You can’t promise things if you can’t deliv-”
“Yes! I’m okay now. Really. I mean, my body is in pain but for some reason, I feel better, lighter. It’s like nothing’s weighing me down anymore.” Nagi assures you.
“We promised to tell each other everything. Why didn’t you?” You cried into his chest, feeling a sense of betrayal.
“Yes, I know. I’m sorry. I’m sorry.” He repeated his apologies, accompanied by gentle caresses on your head to soothe you.
It started out a bit slow at first–with Nagi making reparations and sincerely apologizing to the people he had disrespected–but he eventually came back to his former self. Fortunately, he had always been well-loved and popular among everyone in the school, so it was not very difficult for people to forgive and forget. His genuine efforts to mend and rectify his mistakes worked.
It seemed as if fate had worked its magic and everything seemed as if it was back to normal. Though you should have known that fate always had other plans and something was bound to happen yet again.
While on a date with Nagi in the city, strolling on the bustling streets until your attention was abruptly caught by a piece of urgent news, accompanied by live footage flashed on the huge LED TV mounted on one of the nearby buildings.
The footage displayed a very chaotic scene showing a figure in black, eerily resembling Nagi’s Spiderman both in looks, web-slinging, crawling abilities, and overall movements. The newscaster reported that this person was seen destroying everything they passed by: buildings, statues, and vehicles. The live video recording of this person suddenly panned to the spot where you and Nagi currently are. The black figure is here, and he is eyeing the both of you.
“It… wasn’t a dream?” You hear Nagi whisper to himself as he looks back at the dark enigma with wide eyes.
“Nagi? What’s happening? Is that an impersonator?” You asked, feeling confused. Your grip on his hand tightened and his thumb gently caressed the back of your hand.
The situation escalated as the police arrived. Some officers started evacuating people from the area, while others began shooting the clad-in-black criminal.
“Y/N, go follow the police and evacuate. I need to take care of this. Go home, I’ll see you there.” Nagi urgently says, bringing you to the nearest police officer in charge of the evacuation.
“Take care!” You shout as Nagi runs away quickly to a secluded spot and secretly unravels his casual clothes so he could properly fight in his Spiderman suit.
He barely got out of his hiding spot when the black figure attacked him. You had to hold back from screaming his name in worry, remembering to hide his identity from everyone who could hear you. You gripped your hands tightly, trying to contain your worry and fear.
“Enjoying your date with her, huh?” The villain asks sarcastically with a smirk hidden behind the mask, choking Nagi in the rubble that was caused by his fast attack.
“Who are you?” Nagi manages to ask, his voice strained.
“I’m you… but only made of your dark impulses, tendencies, and desires. I guess you can say I’m the dark version of you, manifested.” The villain revealed in a hauntingly familiar voice.
Nagi couldn’t believe what he was hearing. How is that possible? But the voice and just the existence of this villain proved otherwise. Nagi musters his strength and finally counters his opponent and successfully hurts him. As the battle intensified, Nagi decided to take their fight to an isolated location away from the population to avoid potentially innocent bystanders.
They continue to fight until the dark version of Nagi has to flee due to injuries that Nagi inflicted, but not without leaving a warning. As a goodbye, he removed his mask and told Nagi in a voice thick with malice, “Out of the two of us, I will be the only one left standing. I will be the one alive at the end of this and I will take your place in this world. I’m going to take everything that’s yours, including her.”
Nagi is too stunned to move. Not only had he encountered someone who could be his twin, but now he realises that you are in danger as well.
That night, Nagi tells you everything: his dream, what he had learned about the person who attacked him, including who he said he was and his ominous warning.
“So this… person…” You crossed your arms. “He self-proclaimed that he’s the dark version of you. So, I guess we can call him… Dark Nagi? Kuro Nagi sounds better.” You say. Nagi nods in agreement.
“I need to defeat him as soon as possible, or else he will just be a menace to society again and he will also head for you,” Nagi says with a determined look. His resolve to protect you and everyone else strengthens. “Can’t let that happen.”
Ever since then, Nagi has become more vigilant about his surroundings, what’s happening in the news, and you (where you are when you’re not with him, what you’re doing, who you’re with, what time can you be together again, etc.). He also requested for you to live in his house and sleep in the same bed as him, to ensure your safety. You easily obliged because both of your and his parents are out of the country anyway. It’s nice to find comfort in each other’s presence amidst the danger.
Kuro Nagi has been out of sight for almost a month since his first attack. This did give a brief period of calm. That was until he resurfaced. This time, he goes straight for you.
You were watching Nagi during his after-school practice and had planned to go home together afterwards. You had gone to the restroom for a while and that's when Kuro Nagi seizes the opportunity, sneaking in and kidnaps you.
You wake up feeling disoriented a few hours later and find yourself face-to-face with the man who had fought Nagi. He really did look like your Nagi. All the drowsiness goes away and you're now on full alert. You look around quickly and it seems that you're in a dilapidated house in the forest just outside the city.
"Don't be scared, Y/N. I won't hurt you." He says with a sickeningly genuine smile. It sends shivers down your spine.
You gathered your courage to speak up. "N-Nagi told me everything. Who you are, your plans. I'm scared, but… I also wish to understand you. What are you?" You asked, your voice quivering with fear and curiosity
"You see, I'm a symbiote. A parasite kind of alien who seeks a host and eventually kills that host to take their place. We thrive on our host's dark side. We also get some of our host's memories, that's why I know you, and how important you are to him." He says the last part with a devilish grin, causing you to have chills all over.
"I've been secretly watching the both of you since that fight. Both of you, but especially you." He continues, looking at your figure from head to toe, making you uncomfortable.
"I don't know. I was just intrigued by you. I wanted to see for myself why he likes you so much." He smirks. Your discomfort grows at every passing second.
The unsettling tension gets broken by your ringing phone.
"Oh, your phone's with me." He stands up to get it on the old wooden table. "God, he's been calling nonstop." He rolls his eyes before answering the call.
"She'll be staying with me from now on." Kuro Nagi curtly states, upon bringing the phone to his ear.
"You bastard. What did you do to her?!" You can hear Nagi's muffled angry voice from the other line.
"Nothing! Don't worry, I'm not gonna hurt her. I'll never do that." Kuro Nagi says as he looks at you with a smile. "And besides, why are you so surprised about this? I already told you, I'll take everything that's yours, including her."
You wanted to yell and convey to Nagi that you're in a dilapidated house in the nearby woods but Kuro Nagi ended the call and turned off your phone right after he told Nagi what he wanted to say.
With that, the two of you stayed in that house with him talking to you and asking you tons of questions, and you had no choice but to entertain and answer him out of fear. Hours stretched into what feels like an eternity for you.
Kuro Nagi finds himself feasting on the sight of you, he really enjoys looking at you, talking to you, hearing your voice, and seeing you squirm in his presence. He finds pleasure in having you all to himself. He thinks your scared-but-trying-to-be-tough face is so endearing.
"Appearance and memories are not the only things I share with my host, but also emotions." He suddenly shares the information with you.
"So, since he loves you… I love you too."
You're too stunned to speak. Honestly, you don't know what to say to that at all, so you look away, unsure how to respond to this revelation. He looks like Nagi, was a part of Nagi. Yet, he was a stranger to you.
Kuro Nagi just smiles at you, finding your reaction cute.
It had been around four long days before Nagi finally arrived and found you. Their second round of fight was longer and more brutal. It resulted in you and Nagi barely getting out of there alive. Nagi deduces that Kuro Nagi has been recovering and strengthening himself since their first fight last month.
As you and Nagi were leaving, you locked eyes with the injured and bloody Kuro Nagi until you finally left the area.
Once back in Nagi’s home, you tended to his wounds. The more severe injuries like broken bones and muscles will recuperate on their own with plenty of rest. You shared with Nagi all the crucial intel that you had gathered from Kuro Nagi during your stay in that old house with him.
“Y’know, I kinda feel bad for him.” You admitted, dabbing Nagi’s wound with cotton and alcohol. “He’s all alone there. He’s lonely, and now he’s in pain.” A sense of empathy for the symbiote began forming, even if he was dangerous and a threat.
“He shouldn’t exist in the first place, Y/N.” Nagi reminds you.
“I know. I understand.” You responded, with a small frown.
“You’re too kind.” He says with a tired smile as he caresses your cheek gently.
When the both of you are settled and done cleaning up, you take a very long and peaceful nap together on Nagi’s bed. Wrapped in his arms, you felt safe.
The next morning, you left Nagi a little note telling him that you were going to the grocery to buy supplies, which is just half of the truth. The other half is that you’re also going to Kuro Nagi’s shelter in the forest, despite not being entirely sure that he’s still there.
Branches snapped underneath your shoes as you walked. The aftermath of yesterday’s fight is still fresh. Broken trees, uneven patches of earth, and blood everywhere. Luckily, no civilians witnessed the fight. It’s better for this whole issue to have less exposure, as it might risk your and Nagi’s identities to be revealed. Too messy.
You carefully approach the shack and are about to call out Kuro Nagi when you find him lying down on the makeshift bed by the wall. You quietly rush to him so as not to wake him up and check his temperature. Unlike Nagi, he doesn’t have a fever, perhaps due to his alien nature. But he still has wounds all over his body.
“Y/N?” He calls out weakly while you open the medical kit you purchased from the grocery on the nearby table.
“Y-you’re here?” This time, he tries to open his eyes.
“Yes, I’m here” You responded softly. This situation got you thinking about how Nagi would react if he ever finds out that you went out of your way to tend to his enemy’s wounds. He would probably be mad.
You quickly get to work, wiping his wounds and bloodstains with clean water and towel, then with alcohol and cotton balls. You also stitch up his wounds and cuts, a skill you had to learn and master ever since Nagi became Spiderman. You’re too focused on what you’re doing that you don’t notice Kuro Nagi watching you with heavy-lidded eyes. Honestly, he’d rather sleep and let his body do the work of healing and regenerating. But how could he ask you to leave after all your efforts and trouble to be here? Also, your focused face is too cute, he thinks. It’s a sight he doesn’t mind waking up to.
Truthfully, there’s been something bugging Kuro Nagi lately. Something stirring in his chest since he kidnapped you and had you all to himself during those four days. He’s been ignoring it, but the more time you spend together, the more aggressive it becomes. Whatever it is.
“There. Done!” You chirp with relief, wiping the sweat from your forehead.
“I also brought food and drinks, if you take those. I’m not sure.” You show him the grocery bag and its contents that you had placed on the table.
“Thank you, Y/N.” He says as you clean up and quickly put all the used medical items into the trash bin.
“I’m gonna go now-”
“Stay. Hmm? Please? Please stay.” You hear the desperation in his voice, something you didn’t hear during the past few days you were alone with him. Despite the sympathy you felt for him, you knew you couldn’t stay any longer.
You shake your head, “I’m sorry. I can’t. Nagi is probably looking for me already.” You apologized gently and stood up and got ready to leave.
He scoffs, “Of course, it’s all about him again.” his voice dripping with jealousy and bitterness.
You turn around and walk away briskly. Yes, you did feel bad for him, but his last statement and bitter tone remind you that he’s still the bad guy.
He’s Nagi’s enemy.
And you should never dance with the devil, your boyfriend’s nemesis.
Sometime after the second encounter between the two Nagis, a huge and terrifying monster appeared at the buzzing heart of the city. Nothing of this scale and danger has been seen before. It’s black in colour, glossy, stringy, teeth sharp and long. The black part bears an uncanny resemblance to Kuro Nagi’s suit and the material that Nagi saw in his eerie dream several months ago.
During the onset of the monster’s attack, Nagi is at soccer practice while you’re in the city shopping alone. Both of you are oblivious to the current danger.
Everything is happening too fast within minutes. Buildings and structures are getting dismantled left and right in the wake of the creature’s rampage. Nagi only learns about it when the soccer team are on a quick break and Reo who’s on his phone shows the live footage to him.
“What the fuck is going on in this city, man?!” Reo exclaims, and Nagi does not even answer as he wastes no time sprinting to the location. He knows that you’re there as your original plan was to meet up for dinner in the mall.
His heart is palpitating loudly and non-stop when you don’t answer your phone. He can’t lose you. Panic courses through him.
Meanwhile, you try to run away from the monster as fast as you can, to no avail. One of its strings latches on to you and propels you up in the air just like what it’s doing to its other victims. Nagi, donned in his Spiderman outfit to be precise, comes swinging into the scene and swoops you first.
“How about the rest?!”
“I already created and placed large sturdy webs that will catch them everywhere, don’t worry. The police are quickly evacuating everyone too.” He assures.
Nagi is about to put you down somewhere far and safe when one of the monster’s black strings strikes him, causing the two of you to fall midair. Nagi immediately regains his balance and jumps towards you as you continue to fall. He activated his web so you can hold on to it, but it’s not gonna reach you in time. For a second, your life flashes before your eyes. For the first time, Nagi feels that he might actually lose you as you seem beyond reach.
Until a shadowy figure from your right suddenly flies towards your direction to catch you in midair.
“K-Kuro Nagi?” You ask in shock after he carefully places you down on a spot far from the monster.
“I… gotta help him.” Nagi furrows his brows. “He can’t handle that monstrosity alone. That thing is made from the same parasite as me. But it failed to find a host and has become defective. I need to go.”
“Be careful!” You exclaim as Kuro Nagi swings past you.
Kuro Nagi stands by Spider Nagi’s side and immediately shows him zero hostility when Nagi is about to fight him too. Kuro Nagi tells him what he had told you about the monster, persuading him that they need to work together if they wish to eliminate it.
“Our species’ has two weaknesses: fire and sound of high frequency.” Kuro Nagi begins explaining his plan. “Luckily, there’s a gas truck over there. We can set it up in flames and wait for it to shrink and burn up completely.”
“Alright.” Nagi answers reluctantly, still not fully trusting his former enemy. Though, for the sake of exterminating the creature and the safety of the citizens, Nagi is willing to comply.
They execute the plan and the black behemoth is now in flames. However, after waiting for about two minutes, it has not yet shrunk significantly and is starting to regain energy to destroy.
“It’s not working. We should utilize the other weakness you mentioned. High-frequency sound can be achieved by banging those metal poles together repeatedly.” Spider Nagi points to the metal poles on the streets that fell from the construction site that the monster destroyed earlier.
“What do you think?”
Kuro Nagi takes a while to think before responding, “Yeah. Sure. That might work.”
The two of them swing their way to the metal poles and start erecting them around the monster whose movement has slowed down because of the flames. All the poles have been erected. Right before Spider Nagi starts hitting the poles, Kuro Nagi removes his mask and talks to him, admitting that this strategy will affect him as well and make him disappear.
“Not that you care, exactly. After all that I’ve done to you. But… I’m just saying, you’re on your own from now on. Good luck.” He says, turning around to move away from the scene.
“Where are you going now?” Spider Nagi questions.
“Just… gonna say goodbye to someone.” Kuro Nagi replies cryptically.
“Thanks for the help.” are Spider Nagi’s last words to his evil counterpart, who no longer seems so evil now. He had an inkling as to who the ‘someone’ was.
Nagi waits until Kuro Nagi is finally with you. As much as he wants him to properly say goodbye to you before he disappears, the monster is starting to accelerate again and now is the only time and chance to defeat it.
“Kuro!” You call as soon as he lands on his feet, and by then the high-frequency sound is already audible throughout the area. “What happened?!”
He’s clearly in pain and his black suit is also acting up. Yet, he still stands firm, determined to see you one last time.
“Don’t worry about him. He’ll absolutely defeat that shit. As for me, you don’t have to worry about me lurking around you anymore.” Despite his struggle, he’s still able to smirk at you.
“What do you mean?” You asked. You try to reach out to him but he steps back. Perhaps he didn’t want you to touch his suit as he might have unknowing effects on you.
“This is the last time…” His voice trails off as he groans in pain.
“Kuro!” You cried out in worry.
“Those loud sounds are what’s killing that monster, and me. This is goodbye, babe.” He smiles as he calls you using Nagi’s favourite pet name for you.
“You sacrificed… yourself?” You feel tears welled up in your eyes at the information.
Kuro Nagi nods weakly. “Y’know, I thought I only love you because it’s what my host is feeling. That I just inherited it from him. But I realized that I actually, and surprisingly, learned to love you on my own accord. And it’s no brainer that I don’t deserve you.”
“I wish we could’ve been friends.” You said quietly as you looked at the ground.
“Yeah, that would be nice.” Kuro Nagi responds with a painful smile and tired dreamy eyes looking up at the sky, as if he’s picturing the two of you being the best of friends, picturing what could’ve been.
“But sadly, I’m an anomaly. And I shouldn’t exist.” Kuro Nagi says softly as he wipes your tears away.
You glanced back up to take a good look at him for the last time, and you’re horrified to see that only a quarter of his body is left, just his chest upwards. He’s disintegrating away.
“Thank you for taking care of me that day, even though I didn’t deserve it. You’re too kind. Just be happy, okay?” He smiles at you before completely disappearing, his black suit turning into soot.
You watch Nagi and the monster from afar and see that the latter has become a large cloud of soot as well, disappearing into the atmosphere.
Nagi is far from you but you want to hold him and just be in his arms. Everything has just been so overwhelming. The danger brought by the monster, suddenly losing Kuro Nagi and watching him die. You just miss your Nagi and need his comfort.
He’s tired from the fight but he sees you running to him and meets you halfway. He embraces you and he swings the both of you to a distant rooftop where you can have a moment of privacy all to yourselves.
“Are you okay?” The two of you ask in unison, causing a burst of short-lived laughter.
“You’re dirty, but at least you’re not very bloody and severely injured.” You wipe the dirt and some blood on his face after he removes his mask.
“Yeah, thanks to him. He told me how to defeat that thing.” Nagi says.
Tears trickled down your cheeks. “He’s gone. He died in front of me.” You sobbed.
Nagi holds you in a tight embrace. “Yeah, I know. He said he wanted to say goodbye to you.” He says. You sniffle into his chest as he caresses your hair. He presses a tender kiss on your forehead.
“Shhh…Don’t cry, baby.” Nagi whispers. “Everything will be alright now. We got through it together.” He reassures you.
And you smile, because Nagi’s right. All that had happened has left an impact on both of you, but together, you both managed to overcome it. The two of you spend some time on the rooftop before Nagi swings both of you home as the sun sets.

Always With You Pairing : Lee Minho x GN!Reader TW : none really ; comfort fic ; Word Count : 0.8k Request : @mooncallerautumn Am I able to request some comfort with Minho and a fem reader? A/N : I didn't want to make it too long, I didn't want you to have to wait too long either. If you want a longer fic, just let me know, you can DM me or send in an ask. I hope you feel better, and I'm just a message away if you need anything or if you just need to talk. <3
Times were hard, and Minho was no stranger to that feeling, and although it wasn’t always that way, some days were harder than others. Emotions weren’t something that should be bottled up, and while Minho wasn’t always the best at showing his own emotions well, he wanted to always make sure that you knew you could tell him what you were feeling, how your day went, everything.
“Hey, I’m on my way over! Do you…” He had called you, and you had answered immediately, which wasn’t anything new, but the fact that you didn’t say your usual greeting felt strange, but he didn’t think much of it, jumping to give you his own greeting. There wasn’t much that was off, but when he heard your quiet sniffles through the receiver, it had cut him off, and his heart quickened as a million scenarios went through his mind. “What’s wrong, love? What happened?” He asked quickly, his foot pressing further down on the gas pedal as he tried to get through the rush hour traffic to get to you faster.
“It’s… I just…” You took a deep breath, letting it out in a choked off sounding sob before telling him what was going on. You didn’t need to go into detail, Minho didn’t exactly want you to, at least not until he was there to hold you and comfort you in person. You didn’t even have to if you didn’t want to or if you felt that you couldn’t. He’d never push you, all he wanted was to be there for you, and that’s why he started turning down side streets, taking shortcuts until he pulled up outside of your home.
He stayed on the phone with you until he walked through the front door, ending the call once he saw you on the sofa. You were wrapped up in a throw blanket, your eyes puffy and red, you had been crying, and it seems like you’ve been crying for a while. “It’s gonna be okay…” He murmured, slipping his shoes off and setting his phone down away from himself before walking over to where you sat and dropping down beside you, his arm draping over your shoulder to pull you against his side. “If you want to talk, you can… If you just want to cry, I’ll be here no matter what.”
You nodded weakly, resting your head against his shoulder as your body shook with the remnants of your last episode of crying. Surely it wouldn’t be your last, but now he was beside you, he’d be there to wipe the tears away and do his best to bring you as much comfort as he could.
“Have you eaten yet, love? I can make you something…” He whispered, his hand stroking soothingly up and down your arm as he leaned his cheek against the top of your head. You made a soft sound, much like a whimper, of disagreement in response to his question and he hummed quietly, giving your shoulder a light squeeze before carefully getting up, making sure you were still comfortable before moving at all.
Sadness manifested itself in different ways, and with how much you had been crying, he knew that it would be difficult to eat, but he could only hope that his presence would make it even slightly easier for you. “I’m sorry…” You choked out the apology as he went to look through your fridge for anything to fill your stomach, and he almost didn’t catch the words when you said them, but the fact that you felt like you had to apologize had his heart tightening.
“For what, love?” He posed the question as he shifted through your fridge, giving up after a moment to grab his phone and heading back to the couch, dropping back down next to you as he opened the take out app. He wasn’t a master at voicing his own emotions, and it was something that made him shy, even a little nervous, but you were there for him always, and he wanted you to know that he would always be there for you too, no matter what the circumstances were. “There’s nothing for you to apologize for. I want to know that you’re okay, and even if you’re not… I want to know that too. There’s nothing wrong with coming to me when you feel like this… I want you to.” He had been staring down at his lap as he said it, the words coming out softly, sheepishly, his cheeks growing a light shade of pink from the genuine emotions felt in the moment. “I might not be able to… get rid of the sadness… And that’s okay too… But I can be here to help you get through it, no matter how long that might take, I’m always with you, and I always will be.”

Hey! I saw your page n i was genuinely sooo geeked i love f&h and have lowk been wishing someone had matchups open for them. Thank you SOO much in advance!
I’m 20 years old so anyone that age or older would be awesomeee. My pronouns are He/She and I’m into guys, if possible could I get a character from both games? If not, do whatever you feel likee!!
Personality wise, I consider myself chill and super easy to talk to. I can easily be pulled out of my shell and talk to you like you’re a good friend, even if we’re just meeting. I have a strong sense of humor, my humor consists of banter and keeping a bit going, I also like jabs and I think that making whoever I’m joking around with look like an asshole is funny. I’m a big shit talker too. I lack empathy just a bit. I still try my best to console, but I either don’t really understand it or…… care. I’ll come to the situation with logic and a level head, but if I’m upset, then it’s almost the end of the world (I’m dramatic and sensitive even if I don’t seem like it outwardly). I’m usually really laid back but I have my moments of being weird or awkward, it usually manifests in awkward tics like obsessively adjusting my glasses or touching the bridge of my nose while I’m talking or after. I’m incredibly opinionated and I like to be outspoken on what I believe.
For likes and dislikes uhmm… I like stuff like cats, piercings… Ironically enough I don’t really like sweets despite working at a bakery, I definitely favor savory food. I don’t like people who lack manners and I hate embarrassing situations- I get second hand embarrassment soo bad like I have to leave the room if something embarrassing is happening, despite this ironically weird and embarrassing to embarrass people around me is sooo funny to me, I just like fucking with people.
I’m not picky with partners, I’d say the biggest thing I want from a partner is someone who can communicate. I’m patient for the most part but if you can’t just talk to me I’m gonna like blow a gasket. I also would need someone who’s touchy-feely, maybe not affection wise, but I'm very hands-on; smacking them whenever I'm laughing too hard or if I’m shocked, smacking them on tha butt, sorrryyy! I would say my love language isn’t exactly physical affection as I don’t really care for stuff like hugs but I’m just a touchy person… I would consider my love language to be gift giving however, I love giving and receiving, I also love words of affirmation but I admittedly am quick to embarrass when it comes to ANY type of affection
For hobbies and stuff, I love art. Drawing is my biggest hobby, and it has been for years and years…! I'm also really into listening to music, mainly rock and metal. I also luuv smoking (not cigarettes eww), but I don’t do it alot, baking/cooking is nice toooo. I really like napping too- it’s probably not an actual hobby I guess… to me it’s a damn sport I sleep with a fucking sleeping mask bro……… a little embarrassing but hay..
I lean towards being feminine, I.e longer hair with bangs and stuff. I’m really particular about my hair, not that I want it to look nice and clean, it needs to be purposefully messy. I love piercings, I have an eyebrow, septum, and navel. I don't really dress up.. Comfortability > Fashion.
Again, thank you SOOO MUUCH have an awesome day/night <3
Right in time before 2025, here's a New Years gift from me to you!
First up, we have Enki. I think it's an important distinction to make that you mentioned that you wait *after* you've starting the relationship, that you get touchy and like to tease people. When Enki has low mind in the party, Rag teases him concerning his Dark Priest status over that he would so easily give into the darkness. Instead of anger, for the first and only time in-game we see Enki genuinely amused.
Touching Enki without permission is a good way to get a Hurting to the face. His unfamiliarity with intimacy is what can spell his undoing, found to have become an abominal marriage in hard mode. But just like how he accepts the teasing from someone he's formed a bond with, he cops your handsy touch with the same attitude of a bickering old married couple; grumbling over how insufferable you are as he squeezes you back.
He wouldn't want someone too involved, as he would assume that he was being used for his magic. Much like how he does in the game, he becomes enraged if you try to talk to him too many times. Your initial laidback attitude helps establish a bond through close proximity, while your charisma works on slowly breaching the gap, building the rappour required to lure him out of his All-mer conservative expression and biting Gro-goroth defensiveness, to release his more vulnerable Sylvian side.
The only way you can recruit Enki is if you have a Eclipse Talisman to exchange for his services. He could just kill you or exchange something for the amulet, but he creates a scenario that involves him joining the party. Out of touch with his emotions, his headspace parallel's your apathetic nature. You two share a similar way of managing conflict and resolving issues that would help you understand each other better when being vulnerable.
Enki could relate to your career dynamic of not liking pastries but working as a baker. I imagine in a modern world he would find himself dealing with similar assumptions, having to deal with people that think because he reads that he must like fiction. If in response to talking about the occult someone asks him if he likes Harry Potter one more time it is going to trigger an unbridled homicidal rage the likes of which no one has ever seen before.
Second, we have O'ssa! O'ssa is the only canonical prankster of the cast, with him pretending to be a Dark Priest at the confessional. Once you start the teasing or play a jest, you immediately see the gears turning in his head. You would be screwing with the 'priest' by confessing to strange behaviour ('I like to drink milk after its become raw to feel the chunky texture in my mouth') to bizarre fetishes ('All-mer wants us to eat his body. Is it a sin to enjoy it too much? I mean, if you think about it, God wants to devour *our* bodies, so when I confess it's a bit like you're .... *uncomfortable prolonged eye contact through the eye-slot*..... devouring my flesh.') 'Again..... really weird.... but not a sin.' But being very easy to wind up makes it very easy to set you up in revenge. He's going to have a lot of fun concocting the most unhinged form of repentance, to make you dread the potential confrontation waiting for you, walking out of that confessional.
Humour is a form of communication, that as a social species, people naturally want that connection reciprocated. If you decide to attack him after he leaves the confessional, he replies 'I didn't realise it was this big of an insult.' Even if the exchange is just in passing, his feelings are hurt by you rejecting this connection so violently. His first instinct despite closing himself off emotionally, is to not put up a front, but to be earnest in communicating how he feels. O'ssa is good at maintaining a level head during emotionally charged conflicts. Especially valuable for aiding in deescalation and baring through the storm, he'd be capable of the reasonable discussion that you desire in a partner.
This emotional security crosses over into his love language. He shares the same attitudes as you to intimacy. He doesn't need reassurance that he's loved with platitudes like a kiss good morning or hug goodnight. However, he notes when at a discovered Slyvian circle, that he's disappointed that that's the extent of all the town has to offer, he shares your comfort for being physical where it counts. The type that wants show that they love you, gift giving fits his eccentric personality perfectly. Throw pillows, silk lien, incense, so you can relax together in luxury.
You can draw him as a gift! Drawing is one the most admirable artistic skills you could have, in O'ssa's eyes. In the slums, he explains that he believes that there is no point in feeling sorry for the people, as they are responsible for their own lives unless you actually want to do something about it. Like dragging oneself out of hell, drawing is a skill driven by personal determination, that no privilege could teach you like practise. He respects the effort behind the craft.
Despite what first impressions might imply, that he dislikes modern comforts, such as his distain for modern literature, this only applies to the Western society that he sees as interwoven with the All-mer faith he despises. All-mer philosophy is heavily tied to our real world counterpart, Catholicism, denouncing indulgence as sin. Meanwhile, Sylvia and Gro-goroth have no such issues. The trick is not do so in excess so you don't lose your mind, if you can recall the coin events for each cult in the first game. Sleep as much as you like. While you're napping in the afternoon, he'll gently sit nearby as to not disturb you and meditate. You can relax and he can keep an eye, so you don't lose the day to your beauty sleep.
Tdlr; O'ssa & Enki are your matches. Overall, I think that O'ssa is your best match.

omg i literally sent you an ask like two hours ago thinking "well this can't get any worse now we're gonna be so up from here on" AND IT SOMEHOW GOT WORSE?????? AGAIN I DONT EVEN KNOW WHERE TO START WOAH yeji having it out for y/n over something that happened years ago and that hyune obviously got over is just soooo.. like she has so many reasons to give y/n a piece of her mind for and she chooses /this/ hill to die on?? AND not addressing her directly???? babyyyy this ain't it!! i think this is also a way of evidencing how distanced yeji and hyune have grown more than the distaste that she has towards y/n, like she doesn't know about hyune and her's connection and where they stand as much as the others do bc yeosang drove her away from them all which is so sad :-( sometimes she frustrates me a bit but i have a lot of sympathy towards yeji especially in this situation bc i know how hurtful it is to feel ostracised from your close friendships due to a toxic relationship and trying to hold on to the things you knew about them while not realising that they've changed bc you haven't been there enough to witness those changes :-( idk if this was your intention when you wrote it but it's really accurate. i know there's a lot of bad blood between yeji and y/n, now more than ever with the yeosang situation 💀 but i really do wish they can have a heart to heart sometime bc both of them have been so wronged and hurt by evil men and idk if a friendship between them is possible tbh but i feel like they can find a support system in each other even if they aren't friends. i just want my girls to be happy and i know there's a long way to go but they both deserve healing smsm :-(
now WDYM MFS RAIDED HYUNE'S HOUSE OH MY GOD????? this is y/n's fuckass father FOR SURE his ass wants to play gangster so bad HE AIN'T SHIT!!!!!!! i'm so flabbergasted i swear i never saw this coming??? i never thought that bum would ever go to this length to try to impose control on his daughter like that man's crazyyyyy. at first i thought the raid was bc of yeosang but you know that man ain't got no friends and is a coward he could never pull up like this 😭 so that's why i think it's y/n's father who's behind this bc he wants to have his godfather moment for some reason 💀 yk how weird men go crazy once they realise they can't control the women they feel entitled to so i think y/n moving out made him feel some kind of way. i can't wait for that asshole's downfall i swear i'm praying on it im going to church over it im manifesting it 🙏🏻 unless hyune is onto something that we're not aware of??? which idk im not sure about that honestly but i didn't see like half the things that ended up happening coming either so you knowww im seated, hyune and hannie living with y/n will be so cute too!! we love to see domestic hyune+y/n content we used to pray for times like this 🥹 so we might be kinda up after all maybe
thank you sm for the update so soon!! you're working overtime for this and it's sooo appreciated you deserve the world fr 🫂🩷🩷
genuinely curious what made you think "its only up from here" cus... 🫡efuhhfihw fyi anon i take my angst tag VERY seriously 🧐 some may say i'm not trust worthy but i just like being unpredictable
about the whole yeji situation it is intentional yes! im so glad you noticed its kinda hard to write such subtle things in smau without it being in your face because it's one of those things that i want ppl to notice but sometimes im like ahh idk if anyone would notice, i think for her she obviously views y/n as a rival but because she's left out (hence jinnie growing more distance ever since yeo came into her life) she tries to attack y/n with the only available card she has which is "you did smth bad to my friend" bc she doesn't know anything else and she wasn't even there when it all happened she only got snippets from the story and from jinnie's side when he was still feeling resentful towards y/n and you see the difference in this specific subject between her and lix (bc lix was there) he gets their bond sm more and it's so much easier for him to not hold it against y/n
listen y/n's dad might be a little worse than her mom idk they're competing for that title rn, ty for being so kind baby as alwayys i enjoyed reading and im sorry for talking sm i just get excited about my characters🥰🥰💞💞

"Sun and Rain Part 2: Age of the Empire"
Chapter 14
"Trust Issues"
A "Bad Batch" fanfic!
Pairing: Hunter x fem OC, Echo (more best friend pairing)
A/N: So this is where things with the story are gonna deviate just a little. First of all, I'm skipping episode 6 for reasons that do coincide with the story, but also I can't stand the Martez sisters and I just know my strong dislike would manifest itself into the story lol plus I couldn't think of anything involving Kimber that would change things enough, so I'm just bypassing it. Plus, after that, there's gonna be original mission shenanigans soon to ensue, so that's gonna be fun! 😁
Until then, enjoy this chapter! 💜

《 Chapter 13
》 Chapter 15
All chapters (Part 2) (Part 1)
Explanation: The Bad Batch get their promised info from Cid and call upon old friends to help them out.
Together, Hunter and Kimber made their way around to where they could hear Muchi roaring, Hunter holding tightly onto Kimber’s hand to help ease her discomfort and offer her a sense of security after what she’d just endured. They came around a corner to find Tech standing off to the side, watching Wrecker going at with Muchi and throwing punches.
“Kimber, you are all right,” said Tech upon seeing them, a touch of relief in his voice. After she nodded in reply, he stated, “That was a foolhardy and bold decision you made…yet I cannot discount the mettle you displayed in the face of the situation. That was indeed admirable.”
“Thanks, Tech,” Kimber replied.
Right then, they heard the sound of an engine approaching and saw Echo pulling up next to them on a speederbike with Omega sitting behind him, a Zygerrian energy bow on her arm. Omega jumped off first, wandering closer to where Wrecker and Muchi were brawling and getting curious about the fight.
As Echo dismounted the bike, Hunter called to him, gesturing to the slave collar still on Kimber’s neck, “Echo, get her out of this thing.”
Right away, Echo came over and started drilling into the back of the collar with his scomp. “Kim, what were you thinking back there? Have you forgotten the promise you made me about not making such reckless decisions with your life anymore?” he chided her as he worked the collar.
“Apparently, I about broke two promises,” she thought to herself. Then she said back, “I was more concerned with you boys getting freed. Omega needs her brothers and you can’t help her when you’re prisoners.”
“She needs you, too, and so do we,” he countered just as the collar came undone and he removed it from her neck, prompting her to face him as he did so. “Your intentions were good, but you promised you wouldn’t take unnecessary risks with your life like that again. I never want to see you willingly put yourself back into slavery, okay? We didn’t save you from captivity just for you to go back for any reason.”
She lowered her eyes guiltily.
Then he added, "Besides, did you really think he would've honored his word after he was done torturing you? He's a slaver and they don't give up what they deem their property for anything. Despite what you intended to happen, there's no way he would've given us up. Not even for you."
Kimber's eyes squeezed tightly shut and she inhaled sharply. Echo was right. How could she have overlooked that and thought her plan would work? It would've only made things worse, especially for Omega if all of them had been taken. Then she definitely would've never forgiven herself for what she'd done.
“I hadn't thought of that…I’m so sorry. Can you guys forgive me?” she asked, looking to Echo, Hunter and Tech.
“Of course, we can,” answered Echo, laying his hand on her shoulder.
“I thought that was obvious,” Tech added.
That brought a smile of relief to Kimber’s face.
Echo then looked at Wrecker, who was starting to falter and get slower in his punches with the Rancor, who was also getting tired. “How long’s he been at this?” Echo asked, turning back to Tech.
Tech simply answered, “Too long. He’s losing his touch.”
They all continued to watch as Wrecker and Muchi kept swinging and missing each other, both of them getting fatigued and tired from the fight. Finally, Muchi caved in first and collapsed to the ground shortly before Wrecker, who fell on top of the Rancor.
“Go to sleep…there we go,” Wrecker groaned, patting the Rancor who was drifting off to sleep.
“Aw, she’s kind of cute up close,” Omega pointed out.
Kimber chuckled. “If you say so,” she commented.
"Nicely handled, Wrecker," Hunter praised him, who just gave the Sergeant a tired thumbs up in return.
"All right, the real question now is: how are we going to get a sleeping Rancor back to Cid's?” Kimber then asked.
Tapping things out on his datapad, Tech suggested, “We could get her back into her cage and then secure it magnetically to the underside of our ship.”
“She’s asleep. How are we supposed to put her back into her cage?” asked Echo.
“We shall carry her, with Wrecker bearing the brunt of the weight,” answered Tech.
Wrecker groaned as he stood back up, “Oh goody….”
The task of getting Muchi into her cage and then secured to the Marauder was no easy task by any means, but the Bad Batch managed to do it nonetheless. Once the cargo was ready, they returned to Cid’s bar, where a male Twi’lek was waiting outside with some Gammorean guards to collect Muchi. He seemed pleased to see the Rancor, gave Cid a case with the payment and wasted no time in leaving with Muchi.
Once they were gone, Cid commented to the group, “Gotta say, fellas: I wasn’t sure you could pull this job off.”
“You could have told us we were going after a Rancor,” Echo chided her.
“Hmm…must’ve slipped my mind,” she casually answered. Then she pointed at Hunter. “You, dark and broody. My office.” Then she turned around and made her way towards the stairs to her parlor.
Hunter, while perplexed at what Cid had called him, gave a nod to the others.
Then they heard Cid call over her shoulder, “And bring the Missus with you!”
Kimber immediately felt all eyes on her. “Excuse me?” she thought.
“I think she means you,” Echo said to her, grinning from ear to ear and lightly elbowing her in the arm.
Now she felt even more conflicted at being nicknamed “the Missus”, especially since she and Hunter weren’t married yet. Cid must’ve assumed they were, for some reason. Nevertheless, she took Hunter’s hand and the two of them followed behind Cid to the parlor and then to her office in the back.
Cid pulled up on her holotable a hologram once again of the bounty hunter from Pantora and informed Hunter and Kimber, “Your bounty hunter is Fennec Shand. She's new to the scene but has already proven herself to be cunning and ruthless.”
“Who hired her?” Hunter asked, his eyes narrowing at the image.
“Unknown,” said Cid.
“Wasn’t that the entire point of this?” Kimber questioned her, irritated. “We did a job for you and you find out who hired the bounty hunter.”
Cid leered at her and snapped back, “Hey, if this information was easy to get, you wouldn’t need me in the first place, Dollface.”
Kimber just glared at the Trandoshan and Hunter gave Kimber a look that warned her to be careful.
Then Cid went on, “Now, before I was so rudely interrupted, my sources in the Guild say she's working on a direct commission. With someone like her nipping at your heels, you're going to need two things: friends and money. Mostly money.”
“Well, we're not swimming in either at the moment,” Hunter responded.
“I guess it's a good thing ya met me then, isn't it?” said Cid.
When Cid turned her back to pick up the case she’d gotten from the Twi’lek, Kimber whispered to Hunter, “We have the Koriena Force. Maybe they can help us.”
“We’ll comm them when we get back to the ship,” he said quietly back.
Cid put the case up onto her desk and opened it, revealing it to be full of credits. “Here's your cut. There's more where that came from... if you're looking for work,” she offered them.
Hunter stole a look at Kimber first and then simply replied, “I'll think about it.”
The two of them turned to leave the room, but then stopped when they heard Cid speak cunningly behind them, “It's interesting…a bounty hunter of Fennec's caliber being after you. You fellas must be pretty valuable.”
They exchanged apprehensive looks. Cid’s statement sounded on the verge of threatening and they both flipped back around, their eyes narrowing at Cid suspiciously.
However, Cid just gave them a conniving grin and said, “Don't worry. I'm good with secrets.”
Kimber, however, wasn’t convinced and she didn’t trust Cid at all, especially after her comment on how “valuable” they must be. With her eyes still carefully trained on Cid, she fired back, “You had better be…or else your parlor’s going to need a new proprietor.”
“No need to get your blacks in a twist. As long as you guys help bring in some good money, your secret’s safe with me,” Cid said.
“And what if we don’t?” inquired Kimber.
“Well…better hope we don’t find out, then,” Cid replied, sitting down at her desk. “Now get out, I’ve got things to do.”
Without hesitating, Kimber whipped around, her braid almost hitting Hunter, and stormed from the room, Hunter right on her heels. Once the door was shut and they were back out in the empty parlor, she stopped, turned to Hunter and stated in a hushed voice, “I do not trust her, Hunter. We got what we needed, let’s just leave and go elsewhere before she has the chance to sell us out. We can meet up with the Koriena Force somewhere and figure things out on our own, but we don’t need her.”
“I told her I would think about it,” Hunter said.
“What’s there to think about?” she asked back. “She basically insinuated she’d sell us out for money without outright saying it and she’s going to hold our secret over our heads to get what she wants from us. People like that can’t be trusted.”
“We don’t have much of a choice right now, love,” he replied.
She stepped closer to him. “Yes, we do. We can find someone else. The girls may even have connections.”
“Their connections would be just as questionable,” he refuted. He brought his hands up to her arms and softly caressed them. “I understand your suspicion, I do…but we’re in a bind right now and we’re going to have to make hard choices.”
“But at what cost? Our own safety? Omega’s safety?”
“Kimber, listen to me.” Hunter gripped her shoulders a little tighter. “You know I would never endanger my squad like that. I want to run this option by the boys first before making a final decision. If they feel it’s what we should do, then that’ll be it.”
Kimber’s expression hardened. “What about me? What about what I think?” she questioned.
“You’ve made it pretty clear what you think,” he said, “but I still want input from the others and we’ll see what the majority rules.”
She wanted to say more, but just felt too fatigued and defeated to find the right words, so instead she just exhaled loudly and put a hand up to her forehead.
Then she felt Hunter’s hand smooth her hair on her head and he said to her, “We don’t have to worry about this now. You went through a lot today. Let’s get back to the ship so you can rest and I’ll reach out to the girls to see if they can come help us.”
In reply, she just tiredly nodded.
He pulled her into his arms and her head fell into the crook of his neck, her body slumping against him. “I’m not discounting your opinion, you know,” he said softly. “I care very much what you think, sweetheart. You know that.”
“I know, darling,” she sighed. “I’m just afraid of this drastic of a change and what it might mean for us.”
“Do you remember what I said to you when we left Saleucami?” he went on to ask her. “As long as I’m by your side and you're at mine, we can weather any storm together. I believe that…do you?”
She raised her head to meet his gaze. “You know I do.”
“Then there’s no need to be afraid,” he reassured her, running his hand along her cheek, his loving gaze filling her with the sense of calm she needed before he kissed her sweetly on the lips.
The moment, however, was then broken by the sound of Cid’s voice crying out, “For crying out loud, in the middle of my parlor? Really?”
Hunter and Kimber came apart, flinching slightly in surprise, and Kimber responded, “There’s no one even in here!”
“I’m in here,” Cid retaliated. “Now go smooch somewhere else.”
Kimber groaned with exasperation and Hunter just rolled his eyes as the two of them turned away and made their way out of the parlor and back outside. They first relayed the information Cid had given them about Fennec Shand and then they all walked back to the ship, needing some rest. Hunter stayed with Kimber until she was fast asleep and then asked Echo to keep his eyes and ears open in case she started having nightmares while he went to call the girls, which Echo gladly obliged to. Hunter took the encrypted comm Kimber had, went outside, put in Rina’s frequency and waited for her to answer.
It didn’t take long for Rina’s holographic form to appear. “Hey there, boss la--oh! Well, you weren’t who I was expecting, Sarge,” she greeted him.
“Sorry to disappoint you,” he replied.
“I’d make a comment about seeing your pretty face, but I’m pretty sure Boss Lady would skin me if I did,” she said back, eliciting a snicker from Hunter. “Where is she, by the way? She okay?”
“Kimber’s fine. She’s just resting right now, but she wanted me to reach out to you,” he told her.
“Mmm figured you were calling on her behalf and not just for a friendly chat.” Rina lifted her vape mod up to her mouth for a second and then went on to ask, “Well, to what do I owe the pleasure of a call from you, lover boy?”
Hunter shook his head slightly at hearing her nickname for him again, but then proceeded to inform her about Fennec Shand. “Our contact says, with someone like her after us, we need friends and money,” he explained.
“And for which reason are you calling me?” asked Rina, flourishing her mod.
He half-smirked and responded, “Friends, of course.”
“Hey, for all I know, you could be asking for money. Doesn’t hurt to check,” she said back. “Where did you guys land?”
“Ord Mantell.”
“Yeah, that’s about as seedy as they come. If your contact is telling you ‘friends and money’, I’d imagine she’s in some shady business, especially on Ord Mantell. Sadly, any contacts we’ve got won’t be any better and much less reliable, especially for money. If you’ve got this one offering you a chance to make money, I would suggest you take it. It’s better than nothing, even if it is questionable.”
“I’m going to run the option by everyone. We don’t have very many people we can rely on, but you ladies are the few we can. Anyone else, we don’t know where they are. Will you help us?”
Rina took another inhale of sweetblossom, her arms folded and a contemplative look on her face. “To tell you the truth, Sarge, we’re gonna need some help, too,” she relayed to him, “so maybe we can all help each other.”
That concerned him to hear. “What happened?” he asked.
“Some things went down on Pantora shortly after you guys split,” she said. “We were having to hide from the police after chasing that bounty hunter and then more Empire troops showed up. Things got…pretty ugly.” Her voice sounded on the verge of sad as she said the last sentence and her gaze averted to the ground.
Something about that didn’t sit well with Hunter. Something seemed off about her, he could somehow sense it. Now even more concerned, he inquired of her, “Rina…is everything okay? Did something else happen?”
She blinked, lifted her head and was back in better spirits as she answered, “Well, we’re not dead. That’s the important thing. To sum up, we weren’t safe and didn’t want to stick around, so we’ve just been drifting since then.” She inhaled on her mod one more time. “If you guys are in a bind, then we’ll help you, Sarge. I’m sure the girls won’t have any objections. It’ll take us a day or two to get to Ord Mantell, but we’ll be there. Tell the boss lady her Koriena ladies are coming.”
With a pleased grin, he responded, “I knew we could count on you. I’ll send you our coordinates.”
“Catch you soon, Sarge,” she said back, giving him a salute, before the hologram disappeared.
A couple days had passed and Kimber found that her condition since suffering a slew of shocks and whippings was actually getting worse. The day after, she’d been a bit sore and felt she just needed to relax while the Batch took time to figure things out and discuss working for Cid, but by the second day, her pain hadn’t lessened. If anything, she almost felt worse. Having acclimated to not being whipped and tortured like she used to, the consequences of it felt pretty painful and it seemed to last longer than she thought. It seemed what she’d suffered at the hands of the Zygerrians took more of a toll on her than she thought and she wondered if she’d be able to handle another mission right away. It was times like these that reminded her that her physical endurance and pain tolerance was different than the Clones’ because they all were completely fine.
She woke up that second day, feeling miserable, and found that she was alone. Hunter wasn’t in the room and instead, she found a datapad on the side where he usually slept. Sleepily, she picked it up, rubbed at her eyes so she could see what was on it and saw there was a note typed out on the screen.
I didn’t want to wake you and, after how difficult things were for you yesterday, I thought I’d give you the chance to rest as much as possible. When you wake up, we’re back at Cid’s. Omega wanted to try out her new bow. I’m sure she’d love for you to come watch.
Counting down the seconds until I see you.
H
Kimber smiled to herself, realizing it had been a while since Hunter had said that last phrase to her. He really was such a romantic. Unfortunately, it was a bit painful even getting out of the bed and she had a feeling it was going to be quite a trek for her over to Cid’s. Feeling the way she did, she knew getting her armor on was going to be a chore and it probably wouldn’t feel comfortable wearing it. For the time being, she was just going to put on some civvie clothes that were more comfortable and simpler to wear, so she slipped on the red and dark gray dress Hunter had gotten her on Kuat and the leggings that came with it. Once she was dressed and her hair re-braided, she made her way back to Cid’s.
She walked in just in time to get narrowly missed by an energy arrow in the doorway, which startled her. She saw the wide-eyed looks of Omega and the boys all looking her way just as the arrow made contact with the wall next to the door.
“Sorry!” Omega cried out.
“Goodness, if I wasn’t awake already, I certainly am now,” Kimber commented through a nervous chuckle.
As she made her way into the parlor, she noticed there was a makeshift target on the other side of the room that Omega was shooting at as well as several holes in the wall around it while there were only a couple on the actual target. It seemed like target practice was going…interestingly. Echo was standing behind Omega, instructing her on how to use the bow, while Hunter, Wrecker and Tech watched.
She walked past Wrecker, who was sitting atop a holotable, as well as the Weequay and Ithorian--whose names they’d found out were Bolo and Ketch--who were enjoying watching and taunting Omega. They paid her no mind, but Wrecker gave her a pat on the back and a smile as she walked by him. Then she moved next to Hunter who immediately put his arm around her shoulders.
“How are you feeling?” he asked, giving her a gentle squeeze.
She groaned, “In a lot of pain, actually.”
“Still? Aw, man,” said Wrecker.
Right at that moment, Omega fired her bow and the shot landed just to the right of the bullseye, hitting the target. She was excited and cheered that she’d made the hit.
“Well done, Omega,” said Kimber, putting on a smile for the kid.
That made Omega’s eyes light up even more, but then Echo told her to fire again. “But I’ve already hit the target three times,” she argued.
“Out of twelve,” Echo corrected her. “That’s luck, Omega, not skill. Soldiers need to be consistent.”
She then proceeded to take two more shots, missing widely each time. One of the shots even went so sideways, it hit one of the holotables. Bolo and Ketch were still taunting her and taking bets on whether or not she’d hit the target, which irritated her a lot. Echo tried his best to reassure her, but it wasn’t really working.
“Not exactly a natural, is she?” commented Wrecker to Hunter, who just shrugged indifferently.
Right after that, however, Cid came in and declared she wanted to talk business, shooing Bolo and Ketch out of the parlor in the process. First, she asked if the Clones knew what a tactical Droid was and Tech tried superseding her explanation, despite the fact everyone else indicated they knew what she was talking about. Though, she hushed his explanation, calling him “Goggles” in the process. Then she shoved Wrecker off the holotable he was sitting on and pulled up a hologram first of a tactical Droid and then a decommissioning facility that she said was on the planet, Corellia, saying she wanted them to get one of these Droids for her before they were all destroyed.
“We haven’t decided if we’re gonna work for you or not,” Hunter countered with.
“Allow me to decide for you. You’re in!” Cid declared.
Kimber’s hands clenched tightly into fists at her sides. “That’s not how this works,” she said to Cid, shooting her a glare.
“It is when you’re in my house, Dollface,” Cid shot back. Then she looked to Hunter as well as the others, telling them, “I'm talking a mutually beneficial arrangement. You make money, I make money, and I watch your back. With the heat on you, it's the best option you've got.”
Still suspicious of the Trandoshan, Kimber cast a look to Hunter, silently showing him she didn’t like the idea. The others, however, just appeared indifferent.
Hunter released a sigh and said back, “I guess we’re in.”
Kimber had to grit her teeth together to keep from saying something. She didn’t feel good about their arrangement at all, but it seemed Hunter had made up his mind, despite it really being forced by Cid.
“I know you’re in. I just told you you’re in,” said Cid, only making Kimber even more irritated.
Seeing her getting agitated, Hunter gently pulled her aside away from the others and he said quietly to her, “Look, sweetheart, I know you’re not happy about this.”
“You’re right, I’m not,” she snapped. “This is a bad idea.”
“Cid is right: she’s the best option we’ve got and we might not find anything else this easily,” he argued.
“We won’t know unless we try,” she said.
“Kimber, even Rina told me this is the best move,” he reminded her. “Any contacts she or the girls would have would be less reliable than what we need.” He held her arms gingerly and told her, “I know you don’t trust Cid; believe me, I really don’t either…but trust me, all right? This wasn’t a choice I made lightly.”
She sighed loudly in defeat, knowing him asking her to trust him got her every time. “All right,” she conceded.
He rubbed her arms consolingly. “On that same subject, I think you should sit this mission out,” he stated.
“What?” she asked, taken aback.
All of a sudden, Tech appeared beside them, having heard the last thing Hunter said and declared, “Hunter is right, Kimber. Your physical state is still not at peak condition, given what you suffered at the hands of the slavers. If you go on this mission, you will not regain the strength you need to get better and you run the risk of potentially compromising the mission.”
Kimber wanted to argue, but she also knew immediately that Tech and Hunter were right. She was in too much pain to properly function on any mission right now. Even though she hated the idea of the boys going off without her and being separated from them, she knew it was for the best.
“You’re right. I’ll stay,” she said, not attempting to hide the disappointment in her voice.
Just then, her commlink beeped and she heard a familiar female voice come through, “The Koriena Force is approaching Ord Mantell…and by the way, we got a new ride. You’ll know it when you see it. We’d better see you guys at the spaceport, boss lady.”
Taking out her comm, she replied with a pleased smile, “Well, the boys are heading out on a mission, so you’ll get to see them briefly before they take off. We’ll see you soon.” Then she announced to everyone else, “The girls are almost here!”
“Oh yeah! Let’s go!” exclaimed Wrecker, pumping his fist as he almost skipped over to the door. Of everyone there, he was the most excited for the girls to arrive, to no one’s surprise.
The others followed after him, but Hunter and Kimber lingered behind for a moment. “I’m sorry,” Hunter said.
Kimber shook her head. “No, I understand and you’re both right. I’m in no condition to go with you.”
He laid a hand on her shoulder. “At least the girls are here now. That should help keep you occupied.”
“I’m sure,” she replied.
“Hey, dark and broody! Will you and the Missus get a move on already?” cried out Cid from behind the bar.
They both rolled their eyes in annoyance at Cid’s pushiness and left the bar, jogging to catch up with the rest of the squad.
A few minutes passed after the Batch all made it to the spaceport when they saw a ship entering the atmosphere and they were astonished to see a shiny, platinum-colored starship come flying in towards the spaceport.
“If that’s them…they completely missed the point of ‘lying low’,” Echo commented.
Tech tapped some things out on his datapad and then stated aloud, “That is an H-type Nubian yacht, a leisure transport.”
“Hmm curious,” Hunter muttered.
Sure enough, the Nubian starship landed in a port nearby and when they moved closer, they saw the ramp to the ship open up and Rina was standing inside along with Irys.
Upon seeing Kimber, Rina called out, “Told you you hadn’t seen the last of us, boss lady!”
A smile immediately overtook Kimber’s whole expression as the two ladies descended the ramp. “I never doubted you for a second,” she replied, grasping Rina’s outstretched hand.
Right after that, Rina was suddenly swept up off the ground by Wrecker, making her cry out in surprise, and spun in a circle. “Welcome back, Rina!” he exclaimed.
As he set her back down on the ground, Rina grinned and said in return, “Boy, am I glad to see you, Wrecker.”
Irys gave a nod to the other Clones. “A pleasure seeing you all again,” she said. Then she smirked at Tech and added, knowing it was going to get under his skin, “Especially you, hotshot.”
He grimaced slightly. “I wish I could say the feeling was mutual,” he grumbled.
“Where’s Kida and Lex?” Kimber asked.
“Lex is finishing something,” answered Irys.
Then Rina added, “Kida is getting the smol, so she should be out any moment.”
“Smol?” Hunter repeated, confused.
Before anyone could answer, they heard Kida’s voice cry out from inside the ship, “I heard my name, you better not wear it out!”
Then Kimber saw her coming down with little Kori swaddled up in a wrap that she wore around her torso. The fun contrast about her was the fact that she was wearing a leather combat suit underneath the baby wrap and had blasters holstered on her hips. Clearly, being a mother wasn’t going to stop her from being a fighter.
“That’s quite a look for you, Kida. I like it,” Kimber complimented her.
“You know me: everything I do, I do in style,” she said, flourishing her hand.
“Hence why you have one of the shiniest ships in the galaxy, apparently,” Kimber commented.
Kida looked back at the ship and grinned. “Yeah, my dad bought this ship from some higher-ups on Naboo years ago. We had to steal it so we could escape Pantora, so he’s probably going to be mad, but I don’t care.”
“It’s our ship now,” Irys put in.
“My family called it the Paramount, but we felt that didn’t fit for us,” Kida explained, “so we’ve re-christened it the Aurora.”
Rina chuckled and added a bit sarcastically, “Because we’re such a bright and colorful group.”
“I love it. It’s perfect,” Kimber replied proudly. She then looked down at the little baby nestled up against Kida’s chest, his golden-brown eyes looking up at her with curiosity. “Hello again, little one,” she said, caressing the blonde fuzz on his head as light as a feather.
When she turned to look at the Clones, she had to suppress a laugh at the looks of absolute stunned shock she saw on their faces, their widened eyes looking like they were about to pop from their sockets.
“Um…why does Kida have a baby?” inquired Wrecker.
Nonchalantly, Kida answered with a grin, “This is my son.”
“Your son?” Echo repeated in astonishment.
Omega eagerly ran up right away and to get a peek at the baby and Tech immediately went to typing things out on his datapad.
Rina stepped up and proclaimed, “Don’t worry, guys. Unless you’ve seen Kida naked, the smol’s not yours to worry about.” Then she gestured to the other women and said, “We don’t count either.”
The Clones all furrowed their brows in confusion.
“What? We live together. It happens,” Rina simply said with a shrug. “You’re all brothers. Haven’t you guys seen each other naked?”
Immediately, the others all looked incredibly awkward and refused to look at each other. Kimber once again had to put a hand over her mouth to stifle a laugh at how timid the boys were at Rina’s question.
“Well…guess Clones do things differently,” Rina commented.
Hunter was the first of the boys to step forward to see the baby and Kimber noticed his eyes subtly light up at seeing him, the corner of his mouth twitching upward. “What’s his name?” he asked Kida.
“Kori. From the word ‘Koriena’,” she told him.
His expression softened hearing the meaning behind the child’s name. “A very strong and fitting name,” he said.
Then Tech spoke up, “Kida, if I may inquire: how old is the child?”
She took a second to think before answering, “A few weeks…almost a month old.”
“And you carried him to full term?” he then asked.
“Yes…,” she replied, wondering where he was going with these questions.
He tapped one last thing on his datapad before declaring with certainty, “Just as I suspected. I know who the boy’s father is.”
Everyone’s heads whipped around in his direction, perplexed. Kida simply folded her arms, interested to see if Tech would correctly deduce the answer, and Kimber was just as curious.
“How could you possibly know that, Tech?” Hunter asked.
Returning his attention to his datapad, Tech explained, “If my calculations are correct, with the child being born nearly a month ago and having been carried the full gestation period of nine months, that would place his conception ten months prior…around the time when we were rescued by the Eradicators.” Then his astute eyes returned to Kida. “And during that timeframe, there was only one male who was ever with Kida alone whose phenotypes are already clearly visible in the baby’s appearance.”
Echo was the first to pick up on Tech’s facts and he was almost struck dumb with shock.
“Rex…!” he gasped out, remembering he had asked Kimber after they had been rescued if there was anything between Kida and Rex after observing their behavior with each other. Then he took notice of the baby’s blonde hair and that confirmed everything. One of his closest brothers was the father of Kida’s child!
“Well, I thought it was obvious,” Tech responded, seeing Echo's astonishment.
The others all turned and looked wide-eyed at Kida, waiting for her to confirm or deny Tech's hypothesis.
She smirked deviously, lifting up a hand and placing a fingertip on her chin. “You certainly live up to your reputation as the exceptionally-minded one, Tech. You’re right,” she confirmed.
“It really is Rex?” Hunter questioned.
“Yes,” she said, “and he doesn’t know yet.”
Then Wrecker, after standing there dumbfounded and speechless, finally spoke, “Wait…so Rex has seen you naked?”
Just as everyone began to realize he didn’t quite understand, Omega only made things worse by saying, “But what does that have to do with the baby? Aren’t all babies grown in tubes?”
Everyone all groaned sheepishly, wondering how they were going to get through this awkward situation.
Irys put a hand to her forehead and muttered, “I forgot she grew up on Kamino.”
Rina leaned over and whispered to Kimber, “You wanna take the lead on this one, boss lady?”
“Not really,” Kimber replied nervously, even though she knew someone had to do it. She stepped forward and went on to say, “Omega, Wrecker…regular humanoid children are created differently than Clones are.”
“They’re made by just seeing someone naked?” Omega inquired, her eyes narrowed in confusion.
Then Wrecker asked along with her, “It’s that easy?”
“N--no, it’s uh…more than that,” said Kimber, scrambling to find the words to help them understand, even though she was desperately not wanting to have this conversation at the moment.
Then Hunter stepped in and said, “A woman isn’t going to get pregnant because you see her naked.”
With a slight amused snicker, Echo then folded his arms across his chest and made the comment, “If that were the case, we would’ve needed a bigger ship by now.”
In response to that, knowing exactly what Echo was implying, a strangled cry emitted from Hunter’s throat that he tried to stifle and Kimber pursed her lips and cast Echo a threatening look that said “I’m going to kill you!”
“Wait, what does that mean?” Wrecker questioned.
To speed things along, Kimber just stated, “Hunter will explain it to you on the way to Corellia, won’t you, darling?” As he stuttered in reply, flabbergasted at her throwing the heat on him, she immediately went on, gesturing towards the Marauder, “Speaking of which, you guys should be going right now, so you’d best be on your way before Cid finds out you’re still here.”
As Echo and Tech simply gave waves to the three Koriena Force ladies, Echo happened to look up at the ship and saw Lex was actually standing at the top of the ramp, leaning up against the wall inside and twirling her vibroblade in her hand, much like what Hunter did on occasion. She was in her usual red tank top, leather corset, black trousers and boots, but he noticed that she now had a full arm glove on her left arm. It was a curious fashion choice, but he thought it was intriguing. Her eyes caught his for a moment and she ceased playing with her knife. There was no emotion in her face; it was just a simple stare as if she was trying to read him for some reason. His eyes narrowed ever so slightly, wondering if something was wrong. However, a few seconds later, she just raised up two fingers and gave him a salute. Brushing that off as nothing, Echo returned the gesture with a nod and proceeded to follow Tech towards the ship.
Wrecker directed his attention to Rina, waved at her and said, “I’ll see you later, Rina!”
Rina called back, “At least this time, I’ll be here when you get back.”
“I know! I’m excited!” he shouted over his shoulder, making Rina blush.
Hunter sauntered over to Kimber, a faint displeased look on his face mixed with a devious smirk. “You owe me big time for this, sweetheart,” he said, pointing a finger at her.
She chuckled, knowing he was referring to the earlier topic. “Sorry about that,” she said as he approached. “I promise I’ll make it up to you.” He placed his hands on her arms and she laid her hands on his chestpiece. “Please be careful.”
“We will,” he said.
“I just…I don’t like the thought of you boys going on a mission without me,” she admitted sadly. “What if something happens to you that could’ve been prevented had I been there? What if something happens to Omega?”
He lessened the distance between them, bringing her close to him and touching his forehead to hers comfortingly. “Don’t think like that, love,” he assured her. “We’ll be okay. Worrying won’t make you feel any better.”
“I know,” she replied, leaning into him a little more. “I can’t help but worry over you just as you worry over me. That and it’s been a long time since I sat out on a mission."
"You're gonna be okay. You've got the girls here now." He lightly nuzzled her. "I'll come back to you."
"You always do."
She leaned in and captured his lips in a sweet parting kiss, savoring the feel of his lips to carry with her through his absence.
After which, Hunter gave Kimber one last loving smile before turning away and jogging after the rest of the Bad Batch. Her hand came up to his credit necklace and clutched it tightly against her chest.
"You two are so dramatic," she heard the voice of Lex speak behind her. When she looked over her shoulder, she saw Lex coming down the ramp to join her and the other girls, a smirk on her face.
"There you are, Lex!" she cried. Then she took notice of the full arm glove Lex was wearing. "That's new," she pointed out.
Lex side-eyed the glove and just shrugged. "A new fashion statement I'm trying out," she said.
"It looks good," said Kimber.
Rina muttered something under her breath and Kimber saw her turn away, lifting her mod up to her mouth. When Kimber watched her, it seemed like something was bothering Rina. Then she looked back at Lex and Lex, too, seemed off and irritated.
"Is everything okay?" Kimber asked hesitantly.
"Yeah, I'm just tired," Lex answered. "I haven't been sleeping well the last few nights."
"If that's true, then you should go rest," Kimber said to her. "We'll have plenty of time to catch up."
Lex simply nodded and obliged without any second thoughts, turning on her heel and going back up the ramp to the ship.
After she left, Rina stated, gesturing with her thumb at the ship, "Well, boss lady, come on up and we'll show you our new digs in the Aurora." Without waiting, she too proceeded up the ramp of the ship.
Waiting until Rina was out of earshot, Kimber asked Kida and Irys, "Are those two all right? They seem…different."
Irys answered her, "They've been fighting recently, to put it simply."
"I wouldn't bring it up to them, though," said Kida. "It's a bit of a touchy subject right now, but they'll be okay eventually."
Kimber didn't like that answer and it made her worried and concerned for her friends. She wanted to talk to Rina or Lex about what was going on with them and find a way to help them. Though, if Kida said they'd get things figured out eventually and not to say anything, then she just had to trust that things would all work themselves out.
Just then, Kori started to get a little fussy and squirmed in his wrap. Kida bent her head down and placed a kiss on top of his head.
"I think it's about time for this little guy to eat," Kida observed. "Let's go in and we can all take time to relax."
"I definitely could use that. My whole body is in a lot of pain, hence why I'm still here," said Kimber as they all made their way up into the ship.
Kida's head whipped over to her. "My dear, if you're hurting, I've got some things that can help. You leave your pain relief to me." Then she said to Irys, "Would you mind feeding Kori for me while I tend to our fearless leader?"
"As long as Rina is the one to put him down for his nap," Irys replied.
"I'll be sure to pass along the message," said Kida.
Kimber giggled to herself. It was good to have her Koriena Force back and it was going to be even better now that they were going to be on Ord Mantell for the foreseeable future.

also when i first started stanning atz it was wooyoung who pulled me in !! and weirdly i stayed loyal for a LONG time even when hongruella looked THAT fine during the last tour (literally. saw hongruella in the flesh on my bday. imagine. how did i stay loyal) but i always thought it was a bit weird?? bc i usually gravitate towards the introverts for literally any group/artist (tho i.. only stan atz rn.. oop hongjoong u better jot this down rn i am the most loyal atiny ever/j) so i thought it was a little bit out of order for me to like and stay loyal to THE extroverted social butterfly.. but then my bias line was completed with both infps aka my mbti.. and it suddenly made sense dhsjsh i just ! gravitate towards san a lil now AND ESPECIALLY AFTER THIS CONCERT he’s truly one of my fav comfort ppl like.. he said something and immediately after i was like WRITE THAT DOWN!!! and opened my notes app to write it down LMAO my friend was like wtf are u doing and i was like uh. comfort words??
last thing before i nap… san shyly dancing to cyberpunk for us again during the concert.. take my heart RN sir it’s literally! urs ! and thanks hwa for making that happen i died a lil
anyway i’m good and i hope you’re good as well <3 mwah mwah -san anon
HI !!!!
4am !!!!??$))(# wow you were quite coherent for 4am im also surprised LOL BUT THATS SO FAIR I GET IT ADJKFLASKJF its inevitable to jump around when you're a kpop stan like when 8 lovable men are presented to you .... why have only one bitch when you can have five ! KJLFDKSJAFSLJKDF
PLS THE MANIFESTING AKLDFJSKDFJ i love it i am a huge fan of being delulu i think life is too boring if you dont let yourself have a little joke around every once in a while AND BELIEVING THAT COINCIDENCES ARE MANIFESTATIONS.... IM HERE FOR IT !!!
eheheh i enjoy learning this lore about you san anon... i agree you are very strong for being loyal despite hongruella on your bday like .... thats crazy .... like i got my american ass on an airplane and flew to germany last may to see hongruella in the flesh .... in a completely loyal to yunho way of course ! JAKDJFSDFLJK BUT omg that actually is pretty interesting !!! id say yunho very much falls in line w my usual bias "type" lol but its funny bc that Type is just. the Opposite Of Me. BUT ANYWAYS hehe i get it ! all of them are just so ... <333 and literally why have i never thought of busting the notes app out that's actually so smart oh em gee ....
but ehehe san is so funny like how are we gonna be shy sir !!! after everything !!! hehe i hope your nap was good <3 im quite good ehehe a little bit nervous ........ but overall good hehe anything else exciting going on in your life san anon? hehe mwahhhh
