tonight's kakpucci headcanons are about that sweet sweet Domestic Adult Life because they r doomed to fail if we go by canon but fuck. thinking about them being ok makes me happt

- Pucci has Very long hair and he usually keeps it braided so it's not in the way, but every one or two weeks he lets it "rest" and Kakyouin regularly wakes up with a face full of it. he likes Pucci's hair, but not when it's in his MOUTH

- they are constantly stocked up on whatever fruit is in season because Pucci has a sweet tooth but also, reasonably, his diet can't consist of only sweets, so fruit it is.

- Pucci would like to become a parent, but Kakyouin doesn't feel up for it. it doesn't cause that much tension, but whenever it's brought up it just generally makes them both feel kinda bad.

- Pucci is still a priest and also isn't really qualified to do anything else, so until he finds another viable option, he and Kakyouin are relatively secretive about their relationship.

- speaking of Kak, he's a videogame character designer. :]]]

- they are not big on PDA, both due to the aforementioned reason and also because they just feel a little awkward about it. most they'll do is hold hands, while behind closed doors they're a lot more casual about it and often end up tangled together on the couch or in bed.

- neither likes going out by themselves much, so if they're gonna spend their free days or breaks outside, they'll do it together at some nice restaurant, a museum or a park.

- Kakyouin is friends with Jotaro, they used to date during the SDC time period and they still go out together sometimes. Pucci usually feels jealous whenever that happens, but he tries not to let it show too much and he's working on it.

- he's pretty clingy and over-protective in general, even if he keeps it to himself. he's mostly just afraid of losing Kakyouin.

- they are not big on pet names. at most, they will call each other shortened versions of their names like "Rico", "Ricky" or "Nori"

- They met in Dio's mansion and had the time to get pretty close, initially through geeking out about mutual interests and then by simply vibing together.

- Pucci has some degree of separation anxiety and sticks to Kakyouin probably more than necessary, most of his time is spent either with him or with Dio. Gotta make sure the emotional support vampire and the weird kid he likes are both doing alright.

- They both like art, but Kakyouin prefers painting and is skilled with acrylics, gouache and such, while Pucci prefers sketching with graphite and charcoals. They like watching each other draw.

- Pucci has sketched portraits of Kakyouin and if asked about them, he can just say he makes portraits of everyone at the mansion- which is true, but also he draws Kakyouin just a bit more than he does everyone else.

- Neither of them enjoys feelings talk so their main displays of affection are physical contact and mutual infodumping.

- They're pretty liberal when it comes to physical contact like cuddling, hand-holding or cheek kisses, even as just a platonic thing since Pucci is used to being touchy with his family and Dio. He initiates most of it. Before they even realized they had feelings for each other they probably spent most of their time tangled together anyways.

- They're a good influence on each other, sort of. Dio is a good friend to Pucci but he's an adult and the kid would probably do better with other kids around as well, so Kak is also convenient.

- Friendships hit different when it's someone your age who shares the same things that isolated you from your peers.

- Kakyouin (5'10 at 17) holds the height and age difference over Pucci's (5'7 at 16) head almost constantly even if it's just a year and three inches.

- They both have cold hands usually, so it's just them mutually shoving their hands under each other's shirt for warmth.

- Ideal date: breaking into a museum together in the dead of night

- Or going out in town at the local open air market

- Pucci has a sweet tooth and is pretty jealous of his food. Kakyouin has made it a point to steal it whenever he can.

- POV you're Dio and you hear Pucci screaming at Kakyouin to "give back his fucking cookies before he turns him into a detox smoothie" from downstairs. This is the fourth time in a month that it happens.

- Stand Shenanigans entail: Whitesnake biting the green part of Hierophant's arm out of curiosity. (History repeats when Star Platinum bites Hierophant as well later on). ok from here on out ig its just misc stand headcanons seasoned with homosexuality.

- My Whitesnake design has an actual snake tail because canon-divergent designs go brrrr and everyone uses it as a pillow. It's. A very rude and very stinky pillow due to its acid powers but pillow nonetheless.

- It wraps around the people it likes and whenever Kakyouin is around while it's out, chances are it's gonna be all over him in seconds.

- Same goes with Green. If it's around Enrico, it's probably gonna have a tendril around his arm.

- Green is very touchy with Kakyouin as well but it doesn't speak- rather communicating in chirps and beeps. Whitesnake hates touching strangers, but it has no problem with it if it's someone it likes. It's pretty vocal and brutally honest, despite its speech being slow and slurred. It often can't form a complete sentence but it has no trouble bullying people.

pretending they r all attending the same school in this though they might be either in japan or florida. kinda wanna do japan but also i wouldnt know how to handle that one bc all i know ab japanese schools is what i gathered from anime and i dont think thats very accurate

i kinda wanna do standban for this but stands r fun so i also wanna keep them. both for the family drama cause pucci's parents would definitely think hes possessed or some shit and also bc heehoo funny punchy ghost shenanigans

also perla is alive <3 and has a stand too even tho i still have to figure that one out

jotaro and pucci get along fine, but they have a sort of discreet mini-rivalry over their crush on kakyouin and are in complete denial over the one they have on each other. theres no stupid inside drama threatening to break the group apart, just lighthearted fun and kids learning how to properly communicate with each other, coping with their issues and going out together to have fun

anyways still regarding warm healer by everything everything it makes me think ab kakpucci so hard and I don't even know why. it's a doomed relationship between someone who cared a lot about humanity at large but was too overwhelmed by grief and ultimately stopped minding the consequences of his own actions and someone so overwhelmingly lonely whose first "friendship" was with someone who hurt him and then with someone who would have never dared to, but cared so very selectively about others. they were both robbed of human connection and found solace in each other but Pucci is a horrible person while Kakyouin is righteous in his own way when he's not fleshbudded

and to b honest if we went by canon SDC logic Pucci would have gotten absolutely destroyed regardless maybe even by Kakyouin himself. AND IT BREAKS MY HEART !!

once I was asked "what would Pucci do if he were given the chance to style Kakyouin's hair however he wants" and I think he would braid his hair noodle. no changes, just turn the noodle into a braid and call it a day

the inverse of that would not be possible alas because I hc Pucci (Teenager Edition™) to have a buzz cut so there isn't much to style there for another year or so.

something I've noticed in the (admittedly very few) pieces of Pucci/Kakyouin media I've consumed is that Pucci genuinely loving Kakyouin can't seem to coexist with Pucci and Dio genuinely loving each other platonically. (Stress on the "platonically" bit because I've seen fics that were VERY well-written but implied/showed that Dio and Pucci were involved romantically and that, as we know, is very yucky.)

(then there was that one twitter person who was into d10pucc1, d10k4k and k4kpucc1 at once and the result was absolutely foul but I don't wanna get into that one more than necessary, I blocked them anyways and doubt I will see them again)

like- I've seen fics that involved d10pucc1 (directly and indirectly) and fics that interpreted dio as ab.sive in more than one way to both Pucci and Kakyouin and only One fic where Dio and Pucci were genuinely friends, but in that one Kakyouin was also evil.

my interpretation of these three involves Pucci being presented with the conflict of having a very close friend who is genuinely good and caring to him but absolutely horrible to others to the point of manipulating and then killing someone who is also very close to Pucci.

i feel like that would be more interesting than saying "Pucci does have to be held accountable for his actions but Dio took advantage of him", like- I think he'd be redeemable even in the case of Dio genuinely loving him, he has enough trauma without being used (and in some interpretations ab.sed) by the one fucking adult he trusts

Kakyouin's death by Dio's hands would force Pucci to either take a stand on either side and betray his other friend in the process or sway him into a neutral position. I feel like the latter would be more likely since that would be like asking him whether he loves his mentor/temporary caretaker or his crush more

now regarding Kakyouin, were he to survive I don't think Pucci taking a neutral stand would sit well with him and that would be a proper point of conflict between them eventually leading to a breakup (with a "friendship breakup" being more likely since I don't think they would become properly romantically involved), if the realization that Pucci literally actually killed people/sent them into comas/gave them permanent brain damage/tore away an essential part of their being and didn't seem to care at all isn't enough of a motivator for Kak.

they are doomed to not work out either way, may it be because Kakyouin dies or because when he comes back to his senses he remains horrified by what his innocent teenage crush has done.

Pucci would probably stick to Dio's plan because of that, because it gives him purpose and because he doesn't really have anyone on the opposite side that would keep him from following through with the Heaven plan. in the end his "everyone who loves me will die or leave me either way" mentality will get reinforced no matter whether Kakyouin lives or dies.

the thing with how I play Pucci is that. exactly like those lyrics say. he's self-aware. he knows he isn't a good person even if he tries to pull together some shreds of his former kindness and try to seem better to himself. and he loves Kakyouin a lot and recognizes that even if he's mad at him for leaving he isn't the one who's right, Kakyouin isn't the bad guy because he was practically wilting under Dio's control and no matter how much Pucci wants to keep him close he has to let him go if he wants him to be happy.
