Pierce The Veil are arguably one of the most popular post-hardcore bands in the music scene right now. With their hard hitting lyrics and super catchy melodies it's no wonder that they sell out tours around America and the United Kingdom. Today we are going to have a look at the reason they're so popular, yes we are going to look at the top 10 Pierce the Veil songs!  At number 10 we have their latest addition, The Divine Zero. This song was released at the beginning of PTV's stint on Vans Warped Tour this summer. After a year and a half of fans waiting, begging for new music then band released this banger over night to catch fans off guard across the world. It came as a shock for all fans of the 4 piece from San Diego, fans geared themselves up for an album release date, music video or even just a title; but nothing. To this day we are still waiting to hear from the band on their next endeavour. Lyrically the song mirrors some of the themes in their second album Selfish Machines which gives us an idea of what could be in store for us for their 4th album. Around the world fans are waiting (im)patiently for the album to drop as dramatically as The Divine Zero did, come on lads! The number 9 spot goes to the incredible Hell Above, paired with May These Noises Startle You In Your Sleep Tonight. One doesn't go without the other; as far as intros go I don't think you get many others as good as MTNSYIYST. When the lights go down and show begins, the first thing you hear is the intro and most recently it has been May These Noises..., the transition from that to Hell Above is one of the most chilling things I've ever felt. People whom don't even like Pierce The Veil have told me that it has been an incredible experience for them, who doesn't love some confetti? The catchy lyrics give fans exactly what they want. "This is a wasteland, my only retreat." The fans feel completely at home when in the presence of the band and that's exactly the point of the song.  At 8 we have King For A Day ft Kellin Quinn of Sleeping With Sirens. This song is probably the most famous Pierce The Veil songs, the addition of Kellin Quinn makes the mix of SWS and PTV fans more prominent. In fact the song wouldn't exist if it wasn't for the fans, they wrote to lead singer Vic Fuentes relentlessly asking for them to do a song with Kellin Quinn and so Vic did as his fans asked. If you caught a show on The World Tour with PTV and SWS then you were probably lucky enough to see Kellin sing King For A Day with Pierce The Veil. Generally the song is about saying no to the people who put you down in life and that is a very important message to everyone out there because we all have issues dealing with power hungry people. The breakdown is also pretty kick ass and solidifies the fact that Pierce the Veil are a great a post-hardcore band. The number 7 spot goes to Bulletproof Love from their Sophomore album Selfish Machines. The song is written as a painful suicidal love letter to the most upbeat and happy melody. The lyrics are dark, grim and down right weird. "I wanna hold your hand so tight I'm gonna break my wrist." The way they're presented makes you wonder how much he loved the person whom he wrote the song about. This is the song that Vic usually pulls a fan up on stage and he serenades them, it's always fun to see the reaction of the fan that gets picked. The simple guitar piece from Tony Perry that opens the song compliments Vic Fuentes' high vocal range excellently. Number 6 is the touching Bulls In The Bronx. This song was written about a fan of the band whom committed suicide, her friends showed a video to Vic Fuentes that Olivia (the fan) made before she died. Vic was so touched and hurt that someone so beautiful and full of life could be brought to suicide. He wrote the song for her family and friends, as a tribute for Olivia and also to all the people out there whom struggle every day and feel as low as Olivia did. The lyrics in the song are caring, as if they're watching over the listener. The Spanish guitar solo makes the song perfect, it reminds us why Pierce The Veil are so important in the music industry and that they're bringing something different and unique to the table.  The number 5 spot goes to... Caraphernelia! This song without a doubt could get any crowd going. When it's played live the fast guitar intro is complete with a Busted like jump by Tony, Vic and Jaime as they throw themselves into the first verse. The fast drum beat from Mike Fuentes makes it hard to headbang along to but it doesn't stop you from trying. Vic wrote the song about his ex-girlfriend and how he dealt with the break up being that she left small pieces of paraphernalia in his house. The addition of Jeremy McKinnion's vocals complete the song, without a doubt he clearly showcases exactly how a person would feel after a breakup, the rage in which he screams the lyrics are so effective that you almost feel bad about the break up too. A Match Into Water steals the number 4 slot. The opening to this song starts with the drums, guitars and bass kicking in with a catchy melody that makes you want to jump around. Vic Fuentes jumps in screaming "Let's go!" Which makes you want to jump even more. The lyrics are simple but effective, making the song easy to keep up with. He wrote the song to his friend whom had cancer at the time. Close to the bridge of the song we have another breakdown and if you've seen this song live, you'll know that it's pretty insane. The number 3 slot goes to Props And Mayhem. This song is like the forgotten little gem that Pierce The Veil fans don't really think of instantly when asked what their favourite songs are, in actual fact is probably one of their best from a musical point of view. The lyrics are brutally honest and can help you out when you're feeling really low. The opening was based off a riff Vic created on a Swiss instrument called a Kalimba. They decided to play it on the second and third leg of The World Tour, giving fans one chance to hear it live before the new album cycle hits and it's just another song they don't play anymore. Personally, it's my favourite Pierce The Veil song and I could listen to it for days! The song missing out on the number one slot is The Boy Who Could Fly with the into of Southern Constellations. This song is a fan favourite and every single time a new tour is announced the fans count down the days until they find out if the song is on the setlist, to their disappointment the band haven't played the song in about 3 years but they stay hopeful. The song is about a relationship that Vic was in and how he felt so attached and desperate for the relationship to work that he lost himself. We've all had something like that in our lives, so that's why it's so relatable. The number one position goes to the ultimate fan favourite and all time tear jerker Hold On Till May! Yes, this song is undoubtably one of the most personal songs that Pierce The Veil have ever produced. Every single fan loves it in their own light and that's what's so awesome about it. The lyrics "Darling, You'll Be Okay." Have helped fans get through some of the most difficult times of their lives and the band love to hear about that. Musically the rhythm and melody is so simple but beautiful. The song without a doubt leaves every person in the crowd rivers of tears so thick that I'm shocked no one has drowned at a show yet. Hold On Till May is a song that will be remembered for years to come and will definitely be a classic song.
