Been reading too much ancient lily novels that my mind couldn't help but thought about the whitestone trio Ancient China AU, as merchants / bandits (self proclaimed)

One day you woke up from a deep sleep, only to find yourself in unfamiliar place. As you start to take in your surroundings, you notice that you've been kidnapped by a trio of bandits merchants. One of them starts to approach you with a sly smile on her face, "Hey you, you're finally awake."

But before the seemingly leader tries to sell you her latest "miracle elixir" that she claims can cure any ailment. K.K. managed to get Bai Yi to be quiet and turned to you, "Sorry about that, we really didn't mean to scare you."

Che, the still half asleep bandit merchant, just nodded along.

Bai Yi grinned and said, "Yeah, we're not going to hurt you or anything. In fact," she paused for dramatic effect, "we'd like to make you a deal."

K.K. groaned, she knew what was coming.

With a grin on her face, Bai Yi began to spout off a sales pitch, while the lazy man Che, gave a thumbs up along to the spouting nonsense. "Hey hey! Look what we have here. A--!"

Just as Bai Yi was about to continue, K.K. slapped a hand over her mouth. "Don't listen to her! She's just trying to scam you."

K.K. continued, "I promise that we won't hurt you. We're just a group of.. um, well, we're not exactly bandits."

"Yeah, we're bandits," Bai Yi chimed in with muffled voice. "But not the bad kind!"

Che nodded in agreement. "Yeah, we're not the ones who murder and pillage. We just, you know, scam people and stuff."

Umm, late answer but some tips from me.

-Hecate, EMP and Che are some good starter trio.

-Bring a shield, K.K or Demon if you got him early. (Demon is a savior)

-Play in 1x speed so you don't get overwhelm.

-MOVE THEM CHARACTERS, positioning of character is important too.

-Magic user usually a bit weak, so i put them behind/back.

okay so ideas i want to explore at some point! featuring mostly bai yi, whoops.

firstly, i'd love the ptn characters kind of like. isekai'd into a modern/pre-apocalypse au, with fake memories/amnesia of their "real" lives to boot. originally i envisioned this concept as a whitestone-centric fic where k.k. sacrificed herself to send the others to a happier world, and che had lost (but was slowly regaining) his memories, and bai yi was desperately trying to get k.k. back... but honestly those details aren't needed and i think the concept generally could work for all of my muses, tbh.

time travel fic where a muse (yours???) got to know bai yi really well in the future/they became close, but bai yi sacrificed herself for them, and now they have to time travel back to a time where she doesn't know who they are... but they know everything about her. could work with reversed positions, too.

in general i think half the reason i'm not super active here atm is because one thing i love exploring in fandom is things/scenarios that would really shock the characters/leaving them stunned, like secrets being revealed and such?? but with ptn's post-apocalyptic/dark setting, it's hard to imagine many things that would actually shake any of them. idk if that makes any sense at all, but... (the other reason is the lack of bai yi backstory at current WHOOPS)

so i'd definitely like to come up with more ideas of things that could work with that idea. if anyone has any ideas i'd love to hear them, though no pressure of course!
