So a friend gifted me my first touhou game a few days ago when i mentioned i hadn't played one, which is awesome except i have spent the past few days sick as all shit and nowhere near in a state to start learning a game that requires skill

so instead as i'm sitting down here (in the aforementioned snorlax jammies) waiting on laundry to finish so the kid can have his stuffed pterodactyls (pterry and marinara) after an unfortunate apple juice fatality, i've made the Frankly Excellent choice of grabbing that disco game none of you shut up about based solely on the fact that all i've ever seen of it is dialogue choices and the hope that means it will involve zero coordination

I'm sick right now but here's a joke that sick me thinks is funny:

There was a kingdom back in like the 1920's, right. (Say yes). So they had been at war for like months, and aaaaaaaall their combatants had been:

1. Killed

2. Eaten (dragons), or

3. Permanently disabled by their injuries.

Of course, it being the 1920's and in a field with a lot of movement and danger, the disabled people couldn't return. The killed and eaten couldn't return either, for obvious reasons. So the kingdom was panicking because there was still a liiiittle bit of a war going on, so the... Monarch? Had to get some new people in the army. The monarch knew a guy tho, his name was Pterodactyl (Pterri for short). Pterri and the monarch had known each other for a long time! Long before the war, indeed. Anyway. The battles dragged on, New Year came about, and yet the fight had not ceased, not through winter, summer, or spring. Running again out of fighters, the monarch asked Pterri to step up as a commander.

Now, it was a cold autumn. Pterri was a bit hesitant, but he knew his kingdom needed him, so he obliged. The monarch gave him the tippy taps on the shoulders with the thingy and then the monarch was like "everyone meet Pterri, the 20's first knight of September."

Just. Pterry. Like, fully pronouncing the "pt", like in "optimal". But then again, the same goes for "pterodactyl" in my native language, and the (new to me) fact that "p" is silent in it in English suddenly explains the whole (P)Teppic thing.

The Pterodactyl (Object Class: Safe)

This pterodactyl started out as an egg bought by a pet store owner in Brazil over the black market. The owner believed that the eggs came from a rare parrot species before SCP-346 hatched. He’s about the size of a small bat and has parts of his body covered in a soft, dark-colored down. He also chirps and squeaks like a normal bird. 

SCP-346, named “Pterry” by the Foundation staff, is kept in a small cage in Dr. Right’s office. He can be held in someone’s hand when his cage is being cleaned and can fly around the room as long as the door is closed.

Autograph from Paul Reubens by me!

This past weekend, I went to Fan Expo Boston (or Boston Comic Con, if you prefer) with my relatives, & I had a wonderful time! I drew several drawings to get autographed from the celebrities who were present. Here is one of the autographs I was successful in having signed, & it was from beloved comedian/actor Paul Reubens, a.k.a. Pee-Wee Herman of Pee-Wee's Playhouse. He was very nice when I met him; he was very quiet & humble, & he really admired my college ring. He also thought the drawing was funny, & I think he especially liked that I drew Chairy in the picture! So anyway, in this picture we have Pee-Wee Herman showing director Tim Burton his playhouse, with Chairy & Pterry the pterodactyl nearby. He asks if they can film the movie Pee-Wee's Big Adventure in the playhouse, only for Tim Burton to request more curly spirals, black & white stripes, ghosts, shadows, & so on. Pee-Wee's response? "I know you are, but what am I?" Enjoy!
