Sugar is not a remotely human friendly bird.

But she is an excellent mother whose offspring has a wonderful temperament that will make them a valued addition to our Therapy project.

She may have some potential to eventually bond with a very patient person, but she would honestly be happiest as part of a flock, or at least partnered with another bird.

Agatha is an understandably wary boy who only has the use of his left leg.

The right leg is present, but a primary flexor tendon was cut when he was caught by an owl. He can move the leg at the hip and knee, but the ankle and toes are frozen.

He is an adept flier who has integrated comfortably enough with the rest of my flock that he should easily fit into a flock of individuals his size or smaller.

I am not allowed to touch him, nor is he willing to approach me, but he has lost enough of his fear of me that I can get within hand's length of him before he flees and he will box me over a spot he doesn't want to leave.

Those are good indicators of his capacity to tame down and potentially bond to a person.

Pants was one of two house pets surrendered because their care taker's circumstances had changed.

He was the friendlier of the two, but prefers the company of other birds.

He makes no attempt to approach me, generally preferring to keep about half the loft between me and him.

I do not recommend him as a house bird.

But he is a devoted mate and excellent dad whose energetic clapping flights are very fun to watch.

Soot is an energetic flighty bird, that I honestly don't recommend as a house pet, at least not as a single bird.

She is not afraid of people, but she is vehemently disinterested in socializing with them.

According to her breeder, she is a competition bird out of Ruby lines.

She has proven to be an excellent mother, devoted to her eggs.

And by devoted, I mean she and Pants sat a fake for nearly two months, absolutely refusing to quit.

The offspring I have allowed her to hatch have been doted on by her and Pants, and she has excellent prospects as a foster.

She and Pants are very happily married and it would be nice for them to go home together.

Lucy is one of our most outgoing, docile hens.

She's served me well both as a brood hen and an exceptionally sweet companion.

It is a crying shame to have to retire her, but her children are coming of age and she has produced way more keepers than any other hen in the loft right now.

I am going to miss her as I missed her Mother, Hagrid, but she is going to be the light of some one's life.

When not busy with his wife or on eggs, he frequently checks on people he likes by landing on their head or shoulder preen them and watch what they are doing.

He'd be a great pet for some one who doesn't mind a high energy bird that mostly likes to do his own thing, but will hover around the shoulders of people he especially likes like a moth around a porch light.

He's an excellent dad and would make a great foster or partner for a shy rescue.

Nettle is a bold, bossy bird that will just swagger up onto my lap when he feels like it.

He's not really interested in interacting with me, specifically.

My lap is just a comfortable place to sit and he's a high enough ranking adult cock that he has the right to boot younger or lower ranking birds off when he wants to stand on my knee.

This is a man who knows what he wants and has no qualms about taking it, even if the comfy seat is attached to another creature much bigger than him.

This gives him fantastic companion bird potential.

Velour is the absolute lowest tier of human friendly, and had only recently scooched over the line by being willing to feed her weanlings at my feet and get briefly into my lap.

She could adapt to being a house pet, but I honestly think she would be happiest mated to another pigeon.

She is a great mother, but she's passed on her very flighty temperament to both of her babies, and I may not keep the older one because of it.

Pilea gets briefly up on my lap on rare occasion, mostly because he sees other birds, including his very friendly wife, do it quite often.

He has been an excellent father to the two I have permit him to hatch, but his defensiveness of his nest is so high that it's maladaptive.

When the nestling next door weaned but wasn't coordinated enough to move very fast, he spent the rest of the week going out of his way to seek her out and attack her regardless of where she was in the loft.

The behavior ceased after that week, but it's too big a red flag to keep him in my breeding flock.

He has decent potential to bond with the right person, or he can be added to a nonbreeding loft, or partnered with a fit rescue bird.

Pidove is on the more outgoing end of Curious.

Every now and again, he is briefly interested in what I'm doing, and wants to come hang out on my right knee.

We'll nod back and forth. He may breifly loaf.

Then he goes on about his day.

His prospects for adapting to a household without children or other pets are decent.

And he's one of those that could be just as happy in a loft or partnered with another house pet.

Yes, there are a good many more, but it's midnight and I really am trying to fix my sleep schedule.

Kageyama: watching ‘top ten best sets in volleyball games with slow-motion’ again and again until his sister taught him how to use youtube

Tsukishima: writing long essays that he posts on facebook about how much twilight sucks and how much he hates it. definitely had a twilight phase

Yamaguchi: secretly writing twilight fanfiction and posting them on wattpad. he got pretty famous for them but he’ll never talk about it

Ennoshita: played Feeding Frenzy a lot. like, a Lot. this man was a literal god

Tanaka: MAKING PUNK/EMO EDITS OF HIS FAVORITE CELEBRITIES. his masterpiece was punk harry styles feat. 6 earrings and a neck tattoo

Nishinoya: watching american ninja warrior compilations but the ones with ‘eye of the tiger’ edited over them to make them extra awesome

Daichi: coming up with his own inspirational quotes that are kind of terrible like ‘even though i’ve been beaten down, i’ll always get back up’ and posting them on facebook thinking that he’ll inspire people somehow

Sugawara: watching ‘Hetalia Ep. 25 VIETSUB|SPN|ENG subtitles pt. 2/28′ on youtube. either that or ouran high school host club idk this guy had a phase

Asahi: taking a whole bunch of those ‘what your fashion says about you’ quizzes until he eventually made one himself as well as a polyvore account

Oikawa: reading and writing doctor who fanfiction before eventually getting into sherlock and supernatural. yes, he shipped destiel. yes, the destiel canon thing on november ruined him

Iwaizumi: he was really into looking up random animal videos like ‘tarantula vs. scorpion fight’ and stuff like monster bug wars from animal planet and when oikawa made fun of his search history he figured out how to delete it

Hanamaki: vibing to the Phineas and Ferb songs playlist that he made on youtube (of course the aglet song is his favorite one)

Matsukawa: a true tumblr child and was there when this hellsite was first birthed. he remembers the tumblr wars between the fandom and the hipster blogs all too well

Ushijima: didn’t know what the internet was until tendou realized he didn’t have a skype so he made an account for him. until now, ushijima’s status still says ‘hi, wakatoshi here’

Tendou: watching a whole bunch of minecraft song parodies on youtube before eventually making them himself 

Semi: either learning guitar through youtube videos or looking up ‘how to play lucky by jason mraz EASY VERSION | NO BAR CHORDS’ 

Shirabu: he used only Google+ as his social media and wondered why he wasn’t getting any friends

Goshiki: this kid was blessed to be twelve years old when the lego movie came out so he most definitely just used the internet to listen to ‘everything is awesome’ again and again

Kuroo: definitely a fandom kid, one of those from the six major book fandoms (hp, pjo, hg). used to run a fricking roleplay group on tumblr and his oc’s always have a Dark Backstory

Yaku: playing Pet Society on facebook. is it such a coincidence to see him so decked out and rich now when his pet had the same lifestyle? nO

Bokuto: as soon as he got a skype account, he’d pretty much voice call anyone and everyone he saw had an ‘active’ status on but his friends didn’t have the heart to switch their status to ‘inactive’

Akaashi: was the king of making ‘which ___ character would be into you (for girls and gays only!!!)’ quizzes that are very detailed. he’d even make a whole character profile with a ‘how you met them’ at the end

Atsumu: used to secretly watch episodes of ‘boys over flowers’ and ‘meteor garden’ on the computer when he was alone at home. eventually got into girl’s generation and super junior

Osamu: a master at playing poptropica and even had a whole gig making poptropica walkthroughs for other people. sometimes he’d play club penguin and get himself kicked out for swearing just for fun

Suna: looking up ‘demons by imagine dragons with lyrics’ on youtube and just playing it on loop. his desktop wallpaper says ‘don’t get too close, it’s dark inside’

Kita: didn’t know what the internet was until suna and aran took pity on him and helped him create a facebook account. until now, his profile pic is still a picture of his jersey number and he has 99+ unchecked notifications

Sakusa: his cousin introduced him to sims. except, sakusa doesn’t play ‘for fun’ but to vicariously live the average salaryman life through his virtual character (he named him steve)
