Rock the Rink Tour: Pt. 1 10/5/2019 7:01 pm Abbotsford
📷: Ian Martens
The chart for the Rock the Rink tour has Aries rising, with Sun, Mars and Juno in the 6th house of work, the Moon, South Node, Saturn and Pluto all in Capricorn in the 10th house of career, and Venus in Libra almost exactly conjunct the Descendant (Cusp of the 7th house of relationships). It’s a night chart, making the Moon/Saturn conjunction at the top of the chart prominent.
Aries rising means athletic, active energy. Aries is a sign related to sport and strong physicality, which might be good for a long, demanding tour. Aries rising charts are ruled by Mars, so its placement is important. The tour has Mars in Libra in the 6th house. The 6th house is about work, co-workers, the work environment. So having Mars, the planet of active energy and drive in Libra, the sign of relationships and harmony, bodes well for how cast and crew get along and are able to unite and work together. Mars in Libra is also a good placement for the arts. The 6th house relates to health, and there can be physical issues with Mars here. Hopefully the cast will stay healthy. Virgo is on the cusp of the 6th house in this chart, and its precision and work ethic are also a positive sign for how the day to day workings of the tour will go.
The Sun in Libra, representing the identity and life force of the tour, and Juno in Virgo, about partnership and long term relationships, are also in the 6th house. Virgo and the 6th house naturally go together, and having Juno in Virgo here is a good sign for work partnerships. The Sun at 12° Libra is conjunct Scott’s Progressed Sun at 10° Libra. His sense of self is lining up with and energized by the tour. The Sun in the 6th house is good at your job, identifies with work, can be perfectionist and is dedicated to putting out good product. And Virgo on the cusp of this house and Scott having so much Virgo energy in his chart aligns. It’s no wonder he’s looking like he’s invigorated.
Mars in the tour chart conjuncts Scott’s South Node in his birth chart, and Chiron conjuncts his North Node. Mars conjunct his South Node in Libra can be about patterns from the past coming back or feelings rising up from the unconscious, with the choice of acting on them differently this time. It can encourage releasing anger and the need to dominate or get his way, especially in relationships. Chiron conjunct his North Node can bring people into his life who can help him heal in some way, so could be friends in the cast including Tessa as well as others who come into his life because of the tour. Mars being opposite Chiron on his Nodes can highlight wounds related to masculinity and offer opportunities to reassess how he stands up for himself, how he deals with anger, some of the same issues brought by having his North Node in Aries. Chiron is in the 12th house in the tour chart, the house of hidden things and the subconscious. So it’s possible that he won’t be consciously aware of how the Chiron part of this influence is affecting him.

Canada Soccer’s Women’s National Team will launch their all-important 2019 season with two matches in Spain including a training match against Switzerland on 17 January and an international friendly match against Norway on 22 January in La Manga.
Canada will also compete in its eighth Algarve Cup which kicks off in February. Drawn into Group A, Canada will face Iceland on 27 February and Scotland on 1 March before playing a final match on 6 March to determine its final rank in the tournament. Canada won the Algarve Cup in 2016 and placed second in 2017.
Seven of the 12 teams competing in the 2019 Algarve Cup are headed to the FIFA Women’s World Cup France 2019™ including China, Norway, Scotland, Spain, Sweden, and Group E opponents Canada and the Netherlands. The other five participating teams are Demark, Iceland, Poland, hosts Portugal, and Switzerland.
Canada’s first two matches of 2019 mark the start of its FIFA Women’s World Cup France 2019™ campaign which kicks off Monday 10 June when they face Cameroon at Stade de la Mosson in Montpellier, France. Canada will then travel to Grenoble for their second group match on Saturday 15 June against New Zealand at Stade des alpes. Canada then conclude the group phase in Reims on Thursday 20 June with a match against Netherlands at Stade August-Velaune.
“This year is all about preparing for the FIFA Women’s World Cup, so we are eager to get together in Europe and continue the momentum we built throughout 2018,” said Kenneth Heiner-Møller, Canada Soccer’s Women’s National Team Head Coach. “Switzerland and Norway are both difficult sides, so these two matches will serve as an excellent opportunity to test ourselves against strong European opponents.”
While Switzerland missed out on the 2019 edition of the FIFA Women’s World Cup, a strong performance brought them to the Round of 16 at the FIFA Women’s World Cup Canada 2015™ where they fell to hosts Canada 1:0. Norway will be preparing for its own FIFA Women’s World Cup campaign, having been drawn into Group A against hosts France, Korea Republic and Nigeria. Norway qualified for the FIFA Women’s World Cup France 2019™ after defeating the Netherlands 2-1, who Canada will face in the 2019 group stage, in their final group game of UEFA World Cup Qualifying.
“Heading into our first camp of 2019 we are working to establish a strong foundation from which we can build on over the next few months heading into the FIFA Women’s World Cup,” said Heiner-Møller. “We are certainly not starting from scratch, this team has been developed over time, but work remains to ensure that when we take the pitch in June, Canada will be at their very best, putting on a genuine FIFA World Cup performance.”
January 2019 Roster
Canada’s January 2019 match roster combines team veterans with standout young players. Captain Christine Sinclair will lead the team as she continues to close in on the all-time FIFA scoring record needing just seven goals to earn the top spot. Teenagers including Jordyn Huitema and Jayde Riviere, both 17 years old, recently helped Canada earn a fourth-place finish at the FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup Uruguay 2018 and will be joined by Julia Grosso (age 18) and Deanne Rose (age 19).
Ottawa’s Vanessa Gilles will be making her first appearance in a Canada Soccer National Team camp.

[EN] “Good times” is @fieldhousebrewing ‘s slogan. That's exactly what we had on a sunny Sunday morning in the brewpub's patio. Located in a charming old village in downtown Chilliwack, this is Field House's second unit (the first is in Abbotsford. I already wrote about it, check it out on #BCbeerMoB 😉). They have a different aesthetic but both are very welcoming, cozy and have good beers and good food. [PT-BR] aconchego é a palavra dessa cervejaria. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ [EN] cozy is the word of this brewery. Located in Abbotsford, Field House has a cabin feel, attentive service, great beers and comfort food such as the delicious plates we got: Pesto Mac & Cheese and Margherita Pizza. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I chose the Field House IPA to pair with mac & cheese, the alcohol of this double dry-hopped IPA is strong enough to balance the oiliness of the dish and the citrus flavors of the hops harmonized with the herbs of the pesto. Felipe got the Whiskey Sour Ale to eat with the pizza, a beer aged in American oak whisky barrels with lime zest and angostura bitters. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Finally, the Salted Black Porter with coffee, liquorice, chocolate and caramel flavors because nothing better than a dessert and coffee to finish the meal, am I right? We were just passing through on one of our Saturday day trip, a shame because I wanted to stay longer. We'll be back for sure.
