I've said it before and I'll say it again because it's that time of year you're beholden to start filling out paperwork for your fall semester but if you are a highschool student look in to if your highschool offers post-secondary enrollment subsided by your school (ik in mn we have "pseo" but i believe other places just call it dual enrollment) and for the love of god if they do, apply and register for as many as possible and do NOT take any ap classes

I'm taking full PSEO classes at my local college on top of HS, right? Yeah.

My whole first semester is online, and don't get me wrong, I fucking love it. I want to try and make next semesters all online, too, but the designated area at my school for those doing online work is in my schools auditorium lobby.

It's beautiful, lots of natural sunlight (and they have cushiony chairs!). But. I spend 5 hours DAILY in there. 25 hours a week... I begin to feel like a rat trapped in a cage by the end of the week, lol.

If the walls were white I'd be fucking insane by now, not even joking.

A good thing about is it that the better bathrooms are in the auditorium lobby, so we have those all day. So empty day round that I can peacefully take a breather 🍃 in the bathroom, and not have to worry about someone walking in, for the most part.

but fr though im so excited for this fall. did i say im doing graphic design at the community college i took my pseo classes at? cuz i am. i'm most excited about a web design class i'm enrolled in bc if im good at it i could do more coding stuff which is probably wayyyy safer than graphic design esp with ai art stuff only getting more prominent lol. most importantly though not having a social outlet outside of work is kind of killing me so like fr i cant wait to go backkkk that and if i dont feel some kind of progress in my life soon im going to go crazy bananas

pseo registration is cross referencing 2 paper documents with the classes available at a certain time and day and semester and trying to make it line up with my siblings and dads schedules and having it in a specific format and trying to fill in as much as possible and chosing between a ton of classes I hate because the other ones don't get me where I need to go or they don't keep my dad satiated and building the entire plan around calculus. only for the damn class to NOT GO THEOUGH AND TELL ME THE REGISTRATIIN FAILED BECAUSE I DONT HAVE THE PREREQUISITE CLASS BUT IM CURRENTLY TAKING IT IN HIGH SCHOOL BUT IT DOESNT EVEN FUCKING MATTER BECAUSE I GUESS I NEED TO TAKE COLLEGE PRECALC EVEN THO I TOOK PRECALC AS AN ELECTIVE IN HS FOR THIS EXACT DAMN REASON AND IT ISNT A FUCKING AP CLASS SO I GUESS THAT DOESNT COUNT FOR COLLEGE CREDIT BUT IT MAKES NO SENSE BECAUSE THE SHEET OF PAPER THAT THEIR SYSTEMS MESSED UP BUT THEY SAY THAT PART WAS RIGHT SAYS THAT IM SUPPOSED TO TAKE CALCULUS AND NOW I HAVE TO EMAIL MY COLLEGE COUNSELOR AND MAYBE MY HS COUNSELOR TOO SO I CAM FIGUEE OUT IF I CAN REGISTWR FOR NORMAL CALC. AND I HATE EVERYTHING.

I had to take a college microeconomics class my junior or senior year of highschool (can't remember) through PSEO and that had to have been one of my easiest fucking classes.

the universal college experience, no matter your major, is learning how remarkably fucked everything is. except business majors theyre having a great time learning to do basic arithmetic and and staring at that one supply and demand graph where the line goes up
