Supernatural Prediction Bingo Cards.
With only 5 episodes left, it’s kind of crazy how many storylines haven’t been wrapped up yet in this final season, so I thought it would be fun to put a bunch of them together on a bingo card and see what actually makes it into this last run of episodes. And then I had so much fun doing that, I made a second card with a bunch of predictions Some of these predictions are serious, some of them are ridiculous, and some are so ridiculous that I wouldn’t be surprised if they actually happened because this a Dabb season after all.
(PS. Sorry about the image quality. Will be adding a text version of the cards under the cut)
I’ll be checking in after every episode to see if I can cross anything off my cards.
Unresolved Stories:
Predictions:
Unresolved Storylines:
Amy's son who threatened to kill dean
Is Sam gonna fix the Colt or whatt?
Cas's deal with the empty
Why have Sam convince AU!Charlie to keep hunting if not to bring her back again?
Is Metatron's spell still in effect? Honestly, I can't keep up with the heaven drama.
Au!Hunters need to get back to apocalypse world
Becky got Thanosed
Why'd that demon take that girl away in 15x15?
Eileen and Sam ship, sink or swim?
All of bloodlines
WTF Happened to Michael's Mutant Monsters?
What happened to Bobby in season 10
Sam and Dean are still fugitives and not that worried about it
Consequences for the British MOL killing off an absurd amount of American hunters
All this foreshadowing of Psychic Sam in the last few seasons was for what?
Crazy witch obsessed with Jack.
Jesse
Ruby and Lucifer(?) are awake in the empty.
Free space for any unresolved storylines I've forgotten.
The angels are still in crisis!!!
Are the banes twins okay???
Guess the Leviathans are still roaming the earth, huh?
Conclusion to whatever is going on with Adam
Will Dean Winchester ever take accountability?
Predictions:
Mary Forgives Jack Han Solo style
God finds new vessel in actual Andrew Dabb
Jack Becomes God
No respect for Crolwey
John's journal is the answer!!!
Samulet appearance
Lucifer comes back and ruins the finale
This was all some stupid test and chuck isn't actually the bad guy.
Psychic Sammy Dammit!
Rowena is still the only competent one.
Last shot is Cas looking off in the distance as the impala drives off
Sam and Eilleen have a kid
Ghostfacers make a surprise cameo
The plan to kill Amara and Chuck goes horribly wrong.
Cas sacrifices himself for Jack
The impala explodes (Boys are probably inside)
Dean gives Jack/ Winchester kid the keys to the impala
Killing Chuck and amara causes the world to "reset"
Heaven and Hell are dismantled
Jack, the McGuffin
Monsters become public knowledge
Sam and Cas don't get a moment to say goodbye because the writers hate us
Sam kicks Chuck’s A*S
Soprano" Style ending

Honestly, it's really pretty depressing the state of the game right now. I know with BL2 there were people who started playing around launch and have kept up all the way til now, and it seems like you've honestly been one of the game's biggest supporters even when there were obvious flaws, so the fact that GB has screwed up enough to make you stop playing is... yeesh.
Yeah :( I will definitely come back later on, but I've gotta take a break for my own sanity because geebus. I'm getting nowhere trying to force myself to have fun. I'll deffo play the new dlc!! (I mean I already paid for it, might as well) but I don't know if I'll go further than that. I'll have to see what the patch notes bring.
I've been a constant player of bl since 2012ish. I got bl2 on my ps3 and fell in love- I got the guidebook and that thing went with me everywhere (Zer0's sassypants is my favorite line from it). I got it on steam a couple years later when the goty edition went on sale (I didn't have the dlc on my ps) and now I have 1500 hours in it. I bought Bl3 as soon as the pre-orders went up, had a countdown on my phone, and beat the game in 30ish hours with a 2 hour nap in between sessions (and I only stopped bc my game audio glitched out to the point of complete silence as I was on my way to carnivora). I have about 300 hours in TPS and BL1, too. I think 40~ish in tales, I know I've played thru a few times. Spent countless hours sorting the BL2 audio files for people and compiling a list of cut content. Obviously spent a lot of time on this blog before bl3's release. Basically, these games are my life.
There were some things I didn't like that gearbox did with Bl2s development, but the thing is: they fixed it eventually. There's still some broken stuff (bee shield...), but a lot of it is forgettable (is that the right word?) because the main game is playable and f u n (Like when it took them forever to fix Maya's Cloud Kill). But with Bl3 it feels like they're trying to get us to ignore all the problems they're not fixing by constantly throwing new (broken) content at us. The patch/hotfix notes are really depressing to look at every week when it's a single tiny change, or a buff that means literally nothing, meanwhile there's a billion things on fire and all the VHs are screaming and it's a mess. It's worse that they sometimes do acknowledge these problems, and maybe even do attempt to fix them, but then they don't work for a week (Zane's Quick Breather skill anyone?). So it's clear they're not testing the things they implement, or only testing them at Mayhem 0, or *something*. It's mind boggling to think the Guardian Takedown was released at the state it was, when every player immediately realized something was wrong the second they entered the first room. That was kinda my tipping point because that basically proved they did not test it at all.
M10 is not so hard that their testing teams cannot go up to that difficultly level. There are youtubers like K6, Joltz, LazyData, ThiccFilA who are releasing m10 viable builds constantly (some with save files for PC!!!) and once you have that and the right modifier rolls, m10 is not difficult to get through. So it's not like their testing team can't snag a save file (or just give themselves the gear!) and test their changes with a 100% perfectly geared out character on M10 (even though that's NOT how it should work). And it's worse that Moze players just *keep* getting screwed over by gearbox's design choices. At least Zane has his one singular class mod to make him viable. But Moze players have been struggling really badly, it's like they only have one person on the balance team and they main Amara or Fl4k or something and forgot there are three other characters that need fixing. (Not that Amara and Fl4k both don't have their own set of problems that need to be addressed).
And I really hate to say it because these games have been a part of my life for a long time and I love them to death, but also it honestly feels almost like gearbox is intentionally sabotaging Bl3. That's how awful watching every Thursday's 10am update come and go has been. They either need to delay hotfixes/patches to every 2 weeks or 1x a month or something so they can properly test everything and give us substantial updates (even tho the Phase 1 update took them a month and was so pitiful I thought it was a joke at first), or they need to let their stream team have early access to the hotfixes/patches to test them. Bc clearly something is going horribly wrong with their internal testing team.
All in all I just really hope the Guardian Takedown release was an eye opener for them. Even tho this basically happened before with the Maliwan Takedown and the broken Guardian Ranks. But we can hope, right?
#Thank you!!#Geez sorry I didn't expect this to get so long#I guess I'm still salty ha#:(#Bl3#Borderlands#Ask

Spirit of Justice Complaints/Unpopular Opinion/Headcanons Invitations
I actually love Apollo's backstory in Spirit of Justice, but I really don't like how it was handled in the game.
1. They treat Apollo being Dhurke's son as an afterthought.
When Phoenix is in Dhurke's old law office (and Athena and everyone else for that matter), they treat Nahyuta being Dhurke's son with more surprise than Apollo being Dhurke's son (which given Nahyuta's character arc is understandable). They only comment on it to mock him and then they treat the electricity going out with more gravity. Apollo is given no time to reminence and reflect on being back in his home country (for lack of a better word) without Phoenix snapping for him to get back down to Earth and everyone else making fun of him (which I understand is due to Maya being kidnapped). But compare that to Dual Destinies when Blackquill is set to die in mere DAYS, an international spy is on the loose, and Athena is hiding informarion that could solve Clay's murder. She's treated so much better in comparison (but that's another rant for another day). They treat him like this then have the NERVE to tell him they don't want him staying in Khura'in? Not to mention Phoenix CASUALLY tells Ga'Ran, the lady who MURDERED Apollo's biological father and left Apollo, a BABY, to die in that same fire, the woman who's the reason Dhurke sent Apollo to America, that Apollo is the son of the country's Undesirable No. 1. I am so surprised that didn't lead to her kidnapping Apollo, or somehow using that info to blackmail Dhurke and Nahyuta (and that's such a wasted opportunity).
2. Actually explain why Dhurke left Apollo in America and show the two of them actually reconnect. Show and not mainly tell that Dhurke thinks of Apollo as his own child and loves him as such.
Being in hiding put the whole family in incredible danger, and I'd imagine that Apollo being Dhurke's son, even by adoption, would put him in that same danger. I mean, Ga'Ran murdered Jove and left Apollo to die in the fire (probably to erase loose ends). If she was looking for Dhurke and Datz, I'd imagine she was most definately looking for Nahyuta and Apollo too (blackmail, hostage situation ect). I believe that Dhurke was genuine when he said he'd come back for Apollo and bring him back to Khura'in when the revolution was over, but the way he says his excuse in Spirit of Justice just sounds so flat and feeble to me. "I couldn't just hop on a plane and say hello," sounds too much of a cop out to me than, "Being a wanted criminal and keeping in contact with you would have put you in danger as long as the revolution was still going on." Also, it's probably just me, but I think Apollo let Dhurke off way too easily. It was shown that Dhurke's abandonment of Apollo traumatized him to where he's calling Dhurke by his first name and rebuking all of his attempts to reconnect. But all it takes is Dhurke awkwardly apologizing once and saving Apollo from nearly drowning and he's back to adoring the man. I could be wrong, but Dhurke got off way too easily, but I guess that was what the hash house conversation would have been if Dhurke had been alive: him actually apologizing and explaining things to Apollo. And I really could have done without him and Datz making fun of Apollo for ALMOST DROWNING. Maybe they were just trying to lighten the tension since this is the second time Apollo nearly drowned and Dhurke had to save him, but still. Way to be a bag of dicks, Dhurke and Datz. In addition, they should have SHOWN that Dhurke loves Apollo like his own son, not TOLD. It really rubs me the wrong way that Apollo is calling Dhurke by his first name in the childhood flashback (give us more Sahdmadhi life in the mountains). There's no way he would have done that unless Dhurke and Datz told him to that (let's be real, Apollo was WAY TOO FUCKING SMALL to have been a one year old when the fire happened). It's so incredibly shitty of them to basically be like "Hey we know you have no biological family left but even though we adopted you, you can't call me dad." This, coupled with the abandonment would make a whole lot more sense if Apollo had called Dhurke 'Daddy/Dad' (or whatever the Khura'inese word for that is) and only started referring to him as his first name after he was dumped in America and years passed without him coming for him.
3. Nahyuta's attitude towards Apollo is inexcuseable
I have a bone to pick with Nahyuta for several reasons, this being one of them. It would make a lot more sense if this dickish behavior was own way to protect Apollo, especially if Ga'Ran had people coming with Nahyuta to America to make sure he stayed in line. In the anime cut scene, it showed that Nahyuta still had fond feelings towards Apollo and he immediately wants Apollo to stay in Khura'in after Turnabout Revolution. I had also read a fanfic (Old Flames Die Hard) which had an idea that I loved: that Nahyuta's willingness to prosecute Dhurke in Turnabout Revolution was due to anger that Dhurke would knowingly subject Apollo to the DC Act by having him be his lawyer and fear that Apollo is risking his life since unlike Phoenix, he has a much better understanding of the DC Act from the beginning.
4. More foreshadowing
From what I've seen, the people who didn't like Apollo's backstory didn't like it partly because it came out of nowhere. In the first anime cut scene that shows Datz and Dhurke, have Dhurke with a picture of Apollo along with his old law book. Show Apollo worrying about Phoenix going to Khura'in with little to no preparation for what going there entails. I saw another headcanons on here saying they could have shown Apollo showing knowledge of the Khura'inese language (since there's no way he lived there for the first 9 years of his life and wasn't fluent).
5. Rayfa should not have been Dhurke and Amara's daughter
I'm about to get hate for this but I honestly don't care. I don't like Rayfa and I especially don't like how they shoehorned her to be Dhurke and Amara's daughter at the last minute. It makes Dhurke look like a horrible father, casting Apollo aside only to have a biological kid of his own. There was NO forshadowing AT ALL that she was actually Dhurke and Amara's kid until the tail end of Turnabout Revolution, and she looks a hell more like Ga'Ran and Inga than Dhurke and Amara. I would have liked it better of Rayfa had just stayed Inga and Ga'ran's child and it would have made her rebellion against her mother a whole lot more meaningful, as would her taking the throne once she actually develops her powers more (if she develops them more).
Bonus: There's no way Amara wouldn't have known about Dhurke adopting Apollo unless Dhurke kept that a secret from her. Amara is Apollo's adoptive mother, yet there's no reaction from her, not a "hey adopted son I've never got to meet, Dhurke told me a lot about you" sort of thing. Bullshit.
In conclusion/TLDR: I have no problem with Apollo's backstory in Spirit of Justice, the game developers just handled it so poorly in my opinion. I'm not asking for them to beat this until it's a dead horse, but they could have tried harder. I have my own ideas about it should have gone and I'm inviting respectful debates/discussions of these ideas.
And PS, there's a comment/nitpick from YouTube that I love: Hey Apollo, we know you're technically a member of the Royal family and was instrumental in saving our country and taking out the dictator that's ruled our country for 23 years, but you can't be in the parade.
Unless he's not about that kind of attention, I agree.

A DEEPER LOOK
a little disclaimer is mandatory! she is somewhat similar to clémentine, if clémentine was money oriented and addicted to investing in a ton of projects. they are both workaholics, but in different ways. minnie likes to be in charge and know every details about her business and projects while ryan prefers to delegate. she loves to get involved and she’s a much better time manager than minnie. personality wise, i’d say ryan is way less annoying than minnie. ps! i’m whiter than snow white so i apologize for the stereotypes and the heavily “americanized” backstory. i’ve done some research, but i will keep on reading more about indian-american history before i feel comfortable using more of it in her biography!
WHAT IS THEIR RELATIONSHIP WITH THEIR FAMILY LIKE?:
it’s very complicated. although ryan benefits from it now, she hated the way she grew up. she never had a place to call home. she was moving almost every year, if not mulitple times, to follow her parents’ contracts. her father is a script writer and her mother a costume designer and they traveled according to their job or the projects they were working for, most of them being international. she would have liked to have a real home & long lasting friendships, but she never had access to that sort of luxury. she was also a very tough kid, very strong-minded and opinionated. she would never miss an opportunity to fight with her parents on all sorts of topics, especially their parenting skills. ryan has the feeling she failed them along the way, by not fitting in the mold they had built for her while they feel the same, that they failed to adapt to their daughter’s free spirit.
DESCRIBE THEIR PERSONALITY:
kind of all over the place? she has multiple facades. ryan refuses to open up about her past (how she so easily got a part in a huge bollywood production, how she blew her chance to become a real star in the industry, how her abortion happened, how she categorically refuses to be called by her full name). she pretends to be very emysterious and secretive while, in reality, she has the feeling that no one cares enough to bother and listen to her crazy life stories. he is extremely passionate. she layers the projects and the investments because she has faith in the success of everything she joins. she is a true multitasker, a busy bee. ryan is also a huge softie. she is charmed by the sight of any cute things, whether it’s a cute piece of clothing, a pen, an animal, a baby... she’s a turtle. she has a shield, but deep down she’s just very sweet and vulnerable.
ARE THEY HAPPY WHERE THEY ARE IN LIFE:
she’s never satisfied. she always wants more, wants to dream bigger, reach higher grounds. hence why trying out in the bollywood universe was a very in character project, although it failed to bring her the joy and pride she imagined. she drowns herself in work to feel like she has a purpose in life while, really, she’s only existing. she also wishes she could fix the broken pieces with her parents, before it’s too late, so she won’t ever be truly happy until this happens.
WHAT IS THEIR DREAM:
professionally, she wants her beauty line to be in as many countries as possible, à la kardashian but with actually great products. she wants to be famous, but make it right, with good intentions and not just empowered by her pride.
personally, she wants to connect with people, make friends, meaningful friendships. she wants to discover other sides of her personality, but, most importantly, she wants to see the good in humanity.

Hey, you make awesome meta and for that I want to share something that I saw on 13x07 about Ketch. I saw that some people said the revelation was a (bad) plot twist but I say it was revealed at the moment Sam and Ketch were face to face. Sam was on the wrong side (facing the left wich in painting means "looking in the past") while Dean was on the right one (beating the shit outa him) and even betwen Cas and Luci. What do you think of it? Thank you for your time :) (sorry for the bad english)
Hi, and thanks! :D I love this idea.
By “even between Cas and Luci” do you mean in their scenes the same thing was used? (I think that’s less your English, which is great, and me still being tiredness-hungover and you having to shorten this to fit :P Btw in general, peeps, my submission box is open and anonymous is allowed so if you have a longer thought than fits in my ask box, I’m totally cool with submissions and answer them the exact same way!)
But yeah, I think I’ve read about this before in various places - especially in Western art/media because we read left > right which then goes on to affect the way we read art and pictures, and specifically that we (Western culture again more than “people in general”) pick out faces first left > right, then sweep the foreground and then background left > right or some such thing about how fast our brain works. (PS: as always, take a moment to think of the students who get paid like $20 to sit hooked up to brain and eye reading machines for this sort of thing)
I mean obviously long before that sort of probing research, we codified it culturally that this is just how things are and by instinct and/or how it was taught art generally follows this rule - I’m not an expert at ALL, I’m literally just remembering mostly internet articles and stray other general knowledge mentions of this I’ve picked up - so I can’t really explain it much deeper than you except confirming to others who haven’t heard of it that I don’t think you made this detail up and this is other stuff I think I might know about it but I’d be happy for someone like @floralmotif to correct me or something :P
I remember after/before 10x03 there was somewhere or other Jensen talked about filming it knowing in horror tropes you film certain ways to make characters look more threatening, and that was that demon!Dean walks through the Bunker going right from left in several instances. (Actually, and then Amara mirrors that in 11x22 but then Mary mirrors Amara in 12x09, which I think is interesting to throw in there as an example of the show starting with a generic “everyone will subconsciously register this” thing, and then mirroring itself enough times that it’s talking in its own language… Maybe or maybe not Mary registers as being somewhat unsettling in that scene in people’s hindbrains for some reason if they don’t see the reference and sort it properly, but repeating the imagery for the internal storytelling is getting more important…)
Anyway yeah in 13x07 the directing goes a very long way, so I think it’s probably safe to say some stuff like this was considered.
I’m just skimming the confrontations now and in the open with Michael and Lucifer, and it opens with Michael bothering Lucifer from the right of the screen while finding out about God, but he moves over to confront him looking from the left to the right when talking about taking over the main SPN world, if that means anything. They only really have the one wide shot where Michael is looking at Lucifer from the right of the screen to the left, but I don’t wanna screencap it because it’s got pointlessly shirtless Lucifer in it and I already decided 3 days ago I don’t want that on my blog, so have this random close up of Michael instead :P
This is a bit more complicated stage direction-y than I feel up to analysing right now so I’ll leave that for anyone who wants to break it down - though I think it’s the sort of scene where close reading after the end of the season makes more sense…
But we have Cas looking the “right” way in his conversation with Lucifer, and a lot of people have been squealing about how he was handling this all so much better - he was in a tense situation but he wanted to try and call Dean asap and slipped away to do it, so he was only really thinking he was trying to handle it until he could call for help, and that was taken out of his hands, literally, but not for lack of trying on his part, and that trying is super important given how his story has been going…
When we have the first interrogation with Ketch it’s mostly from this sort of direction and Sam and Dean are roughly on the same side of him through it whichever way you look at it:
Then we get a lot more personal close ups as Ketch sows some doubt and it’s dividing Sam and Dean’s opinion on him (which I think is really interesting as Buckleming traditionally love these interrogation scenes where there’s a character the Winchesters hate or don’t think much of, and they become a hive mind unit teasing and interrogating them and it rarely matters which character is saying which. The dialogue is fairly generic but the directing by cutting Sam and Dean apart like paper dolls where you snip their arms and legs where they’re joined, and showing close ups of them reacting individually, lends a lot more to the idea they’re having Inner Thoughts here and building up to Sam entertaining the idea and Dean refusing to.
I’ve been grumbling about this type of scene for ages - I was fandom new for 9x21 so things in the 9x18-9x21 range all seem really disproportionately important to me as that was all the hot new meta I read on my arrival :P - and it was nice to have directing which added in the subtlety and the fact that Sam and Dean should never be treated as a like-minded unit, even/especially when they’re presenting as a like-minded unit.
Because in the next scene, although Sam’s not looking at him, Dean’s sat behind him in such a way to put him in the right-facing seat again:
And after 2 previous scenes of slowly rotating, Sam ends up in the left-facing wrong seat while entertaining Ketch’s evil twin idea to the point of giving him a second hearing about it that convinces him to let the guy get a sandwich for his troubles:
And then we get to the scene you described, where Sam’s on the wrong siiide:
Wrong siiide
They literally cross around each other so that Sam can still be on the wrong siiiide from the next camera angle:
And though he seems to be circling him warily of course it’s Dean who makes the leap.
And then though Sam skedaddles back to the right side, the camera seems to show him hiding behind Dean, even though they’re probably standing side by side, and it’s just the camera making it look like that:
That was a fun journey :P
#Asks#13x07#Speight is awesome#long post for ts#my stuff#I suppose it's barely my stuff but I spent actual time on screencaps so at least for finding again purposes#the actual idea to look at it this way and what to look at belongs entirely to anon :P

Could you sum up what you go "right" this season that you were talking about in a previous post? I just caught up with the season and I remembered you saying that and I was like, what did she predict? To me, the entire five episodes proceeded in a way that everything seemed predictable (not in a bad way but just meaning it made sense), so I was wondering if I was missing something? PS: I can come off anon if you prefer.
Hi!
So… this is kinda off the top of my head and bear in mind there is stuff I got wrong too. I didn’t think the Dean mask thing in 13x04 would be a shapeshifter, metaphorically I thought it had to be Dean. But the way it was framed with the name Buddy and representing John… it was awesome just as it was! So yeah not always right!
- Mary would be the catalyst to Dean’s emancipation facing her not being perfect. This would be continued in season 13 alongside the John stuff.
- The death of performing!Dean through exposing coping mechanisms as such and them not working.
- Cas would die for his own depression arc and rebirth and Dean / Cas would be separated to show Destiel angst.
- They would burn Cas.
- Crack wishlist post that Jack would bring Cas back through Dean’s longing in parallel to Amara.
- Season 13 would be about fathers and specifically John.
- Jack would go darkside around midseason finale.
- Dean and Sam would have an episode (Chuck we’ve had so many now I’m squealing) where they split up and trust each other separately, they do a great job when not codependent. I’m LIVING.
- Cas is Jack’s chosen father. I mean this is so a given now but I got actual hate for saying this over the summer because of the whole brainwashing thing (which is canonically not the case now too).
- Jack would be a TFW mirror. I wrote this post in like… April and it’s bang on current canon. I’m not saying I’m a genius or wtv, absolutely not, just that the themes have been clear and I wrote about them then and now they’re just following through :)
Jack will aid their arcs through being said mirror and making them realise things about themselves whilst teaching him (see one, do one, teach one theory), which has already started, Cas’ speech in the car in 13x06 was epic in terms of addressing his own issues, it’s a direct mirror of what needs to believe for himself and he therefore is starting to believe it. Same for Dean re: accepting Jack can make mistakes and still be ultimately good, no-one is perfect, rejecting his blood father’s expectation. Sam re: Jack not inherently being a monster and getting past his early mistakes. Etc etc etc. Which is all already happening.
- Jack is their apprentice. They are building the theme and then with others later of becoming teachers more than hunters themselves by endgame.
- Cas’ death was purposeful for both his own arc to emerge reborn and not depressed and for Destiel to show Dean what he’s lost. It was hugely important.
- Cas would look better when he comes back because it’s a visual representation of his emotional state. (JUST LOOK AT HIM NOW!)
- Cas would face himself in the Empty and he would remember it. The Empty is his symbolic climax moment for getting over his depression.
- Cas was not brainwashed by Jack but made his own choice (and it would end up being the right choice still to be determined but come on :p)
- 13x01-05 would show Dean acting like a John mirror and reveal that his coping mechanisms are as such and that they no longer work and he doesnt really want to use them anymore. He’s sick of the performance.
- 13x01-05 Dean would also mirror Sam in losing Jess (clear in the 12x23 finale) and we got loads of Dean/Cas v Jess/Sam mirrors while Cas was dead.
- Sam would be supportive of Dean and show his leadership side. They would be more on equal footing and not parent/child but true brothers.
- Dean would start accepting Jack just before Cas comes back.
- Jack would choose to leave at the end of 13x06 because he thinks he is poison and could hurt his family (they’ll get him back through some kind of “we love you for you not for your powers etc long term theme that mirrors Cas’ arc).
Oh one that I really thought we would get and haven’t had loads of yet is Sam’s fashion choices coming through more wacky… stay tuned for that though, we’re getting more assertive Sam and finding out about stuff Sam likes n stuff so I’m sure it’s coming. Gimme all the weird Sam fashion as a metaphor for him making his own choices ;)
I mean… the list goes on. Not to be smug about it but like…it just makes sense?
So yeah, speculation is speculation, it’s never gonna be 100% right. But there are themes that come out in meta when analysing the past and IF the writers continue on those themes (season 10 is a lesson in when that doesn’t happen) then it’s not that difficult to extrapolate the next steps for the themes though not necessarily the intricate details. Hope that helps!
#tinks speculation v canon#speculation is not meta#but speculation based on meta is a different thing#not everyone likes to speculate tho#supernatural#meta writing#my blog#Anonymous

Sam and Castiel are alike
I’m going to talk particularly of these two :)
spoiler alert, mentions of season 12
this post started with 3 points only...I don’t mind.
I think there’s a lot in common between Sam and Cass, from their personalities, mostly calm and reflexive, they both are pensive and sensitive, they love animals, they are nerds, they are cute and at the same time are hiding a inner strength that leaves everyone with their jaw dropped, not only fight with brutal force but using their intellect, they have both a natural love and affiliation with nature, seen their reactions towards animals and the surrounding. They both have a strong force of will despite many had taken control of their bodies, I mean, Lucifer got kicked back by both of them in order to save the one’s they cared about, Sam took control before Lucifer could kill Dean, Castiel regained control before Lucifer could kill Sam), but why did they say yes? because they thought it was (and it was) the only way to stop the end of the world. They get worried for each other, they try to listen and understand, to forgive, they blame themselves a lot and tried to fix things multiple times, they can’t stand Dean’s judgment because they are hard on themselves enough, they can’t handle that weight too, Dean reacts that strong and hard way because he cares about them like nobody does, but that pushes them away and he really solves things when he sits down and talk, but also listen to them, they both try to don’t be judgmental towards the others, they try to always reach out to the other, for example when everyone had lost faith in Castiel, Sam was the only one going out there trying to pray to him again even if he was barely standing on his feet after the memories of hell were harassing him, but it no matter how weak, sad or angry they can get, they want to be there.
They do all but pulling the other down, this is so sweet and pure to me, which doesn't stop their being also brave and really passionate.
Sam trying to find a name for that ship, come on, he’s utterly indifferent to sexual orientation ? just kidding, but this scene was awesome, still makes me smile.
When one or another was in danger they were on the way,
I remember when Sam talks to Cass about healing Dean, at the very beginning, and so Castiel had to think about his action besides the orders he received,
Castiel was mad at Dean for putting the soul back into Sam, he was really upset from the conditions of Sam and highly relieved, surprised speechless when he saw he was standing and alive
They were willing to sacrifice themselves despite it scared them, but also they thought they deserved it. Their way to be are just very similar and at the same time their being around each other helps the other to heal or forgive themselves as well, they know what’s like to feel lost. They moved away from their families, from their roots, their past, even going off the path sometimes, trying to build something, to change things in better, if it wasn't about saving the world it was about making their lives “normal” getting a job and paying for an apartment, or making sure the ones they cared were safe, even if it meant to stay away from them. In fact both, with Dean not liking it of course, stayed away from him in order to prevent the monsters to jump on him. They miss each other, when one isn’t around they wonder why or where, besides Sam had demon blood, probably because of it, Cass showed him kindness, when Cass broke Sam’s wall, Sam had all the reasons to hate or whatever but help Castiel trying to save his life and not only because they had to put the souls back in purgatory, but because he was cares about him that much, then comes the rest. instead of scuff him, he was happy to see him again on season 12, equally broken as Dean when he was missing or when they lost him again. Both Sam and Cass believed they were doing right, even if it looked hard or wrong, twisted, making mistakes but also good thing, and when ended up doing mistakes they apologized for that, deeply sorry for what happened along the way, they admitted that and tried their best too, they thought they could use something bad in order to get something more important done, Sam drank demon blood and Castiel began to collect souls, they both were wrong, but they couldn't really know the consequences would have leaded to a disaster instead of a “victory”. They were feeling so lost after the leviathans and purgatory that they have been in a sort of dream with open eyes, Castiel and Sam got more aware of their lives in the episode “hunteri eroici“, They stopped themselves from killing in an episode where Dean was reaching for Amara in hell, when Sam could kill demons instead of putting cuffs on them and Castiel meanwhile could kill Metatron but didn't, that was not what they wanted to be.
They show a strong empathy and support,
But most importantly...they both have the puppy eyes power. yup.
just gotta love them.
PS: ship all the ships
may I tag somebody who I already consider a friend of mine, that is one of the reasons I ship Destiel as well, people like this one are a treasure on your was.
@xbooksandtea you asked me a while ago about Sastiel and what I see in it, well, a lot.

Light & Darkness
I was just wondering what your take is on the whole Amara-resurrecting-Mary thing. All of season 11, we're made to believe that Amara is the antithesis of God; where God is light, she is the darkness, where God is a creator, she is the destroyer. Even at the very end, walking through the garden, everything she touches, dies. To the point that she refuses to feed the birds because she knows they'll die if she does. Yes - she heals Chuck, but is that perhaps just because they're siblings? Because they made rather a huge deal out of the fact that she destroys everything she touches. The best she could even offer Dean was to, basically, be consumed. And then to suggest so heavily that she brought Mary back to LIFE??? Is this sloppy writing or deliberate misdirection? Or am I simply overthinking it? Just curious as to your thoughts on this.
Hi, @destiel73 I’m really sorry it took me like forever to answer this question you sent me. I hope you’re still curious to read my thoughts on the whole thing.
It’s true that Amara was the antithesis of God. He was light and she was darkness; he was a creator, and as you well said it, Amara was a destroyer. However, we can’t forget that Amara was a goddess; she was as powerful as her brother, but the thing is that she never wanted to use her powers for goodness. She was selfish and codependent –everything that definitely destroys any kind of relationship. That’s what happened to Chuck and Amara. Let’s pay attention to the conversation they had in 11x23:
AMARA: In the beginning, it was just you and me, and we were family. I loved you and I thought… I knew that you loved me.
CHUCK: I did. I do.
AMARA: But then you went and you made all these other things. I hated them. I hated you for needing something else, something that wasn’t me. And then you locked me away, and all I could think about was making you suffer.
CHUCK: You had your reasons.
AMARA: I did. And I thought revenge would make me happy. But I was wrong. What you’ve made… it’s beautiful. It took me a long time to see that. I know that we can’t go back to the way things were. I don’t want to, but I wish… I wish that we could just be family again.
CHUCK: I do too.
We have to remember that at some point in season 11, we were told that God had to lock his sister away because he wanted to create the world and she wouldn’t allow it. However, it wasn’t that she was a destroyer by nature; it was just that she didn’t want God to have anything or anyone besides her. She didn’t want him to create anything because she was selfish, because she wanted him, his attention, and his love all for herself. God was light and she was dark, but that’s not a bad thing; it’s a balance. Actually, a 24-hour day has day and night, light and dark, and we need both. What would happen to us if we had 24 hours of daylight? When would we sleep? When would we rest?
The Darkness wasn’t evil per se. She wasn’t a destroyer because that’s what nature made of her. She made her own choices. God made his choice to become the creator of all we know. It wasn’t because he was good, while his sister was evil. It was because he could love his sister and still be able to love other beings.
Amara wasn’t able to do that. She decided to destroy everything and God decided to sacrifice his only kin (as Metatron said in 11x06) in order to preserve his creation. God never hated his sister; he never wanted to kill her.
Once out of her imprisonment, Amara learned that everything God created was beautiful. She also realized that what she wanted was to be family with him again. The moment she made her choice, she stopped being a force of destruction. To prove that, and to thank Dean for what he’d done for her and for her relationship with her brother, she gave him what she knew Dean wanted the most: his mother.
She learned how important Mary was to Dean in 11x22. That’s why we got this shot of her holding the picture of a very young Dean and his mom.
In conclusion, everything Amara touched died until she stopped feeding herself feelings of hate and revenge. Once she learned to love without thinking that the other person had to exclusively love her and only her, once she learned to accept that God’s creation was beautiful and that he meant well, she stopped being an evil version of herself. She was still darkness, but that wasn’t a bad thing. It’s our choices that determine who we are. She will always be powerful simply because she’s a goddess, but her decision to bring Mary back, to give life instead of take it away, was a first step to become one with God and find peace.
PS: The fact that Amara overcame her codependency was the most beautiful way to foreshadow what season 12 was going to give us regarding the Winchesters. Kudos to Mr. Dabb for that.

da sexy arm veins are back.
So they released a teaser for the finale and I have thoughts.
I’ve got a theory with multiple parts so far.
1) Kai’s loophole is to send Elena to a prison world. I mean that would be obvious based on his past. He spent years (soz can’t remember the exact number) in a prison world. To get the last laugh he’ll make the loophole the place where he tortured Bonnie.
- So some not-structured thoughts based on this. I haven’t really thought them through, they’re just things that I wish could happen. Like what if Bonnie sent all of the good souls (i.e. Lexi, Grams, Rose, Tyler altho lbr, Bonnie would bring Tyler back to life) to the prison world mentioned above.
- Or we’ve spec’d about Bonnie making a new dimension but what if she just made a prison world to hold the people she deems worthy of heaven/hell.
- OR what if situations happened and Bonnie made Elena the judge or anchor for this whole new prison world. (I tried to make an Aladdin reference there. It didn’t work) This would tie back to the original doppelganger, Amara, being the Other Side anchor since the writers love them repetitive sl’s.
- There’s also this thing that I don’t have evidence for but this is my headcanon. Basically it’s that Cade’s hell is a prison world. We’ve spec’d that Cade is Bonnie’s ancestor. And apparently the Bennett witches are the only ones who can make prison worlds. So… what if Cade literally made a prison world and called it Hell. Then when Bonnie made that back door, that was basically her highly emotional Bennett blood giving her access to the place that’s holding her head bae.
That last bullet I’ll fight the writers tooth and nail for. (Actually I won’t. My nails are horrible and my wisdom teeth are finally coming out so bananas are my friends when it comes to eating food. No fights for them.) But it makes sense. Cuz once they defeat Cade, someone’s gotta take his place so who better than the only person who’s not only able to get in but also strong enough to deal with all the bs that gets accepted into hell. Bonnie essentially gets promoted from Mystic Falls 24/7 on-call witch to Goddess of Death. Also there’s her side hoe husband, Enzo.
I hate to be pessimistic but lbr, Bonnie’s life will always be surrounded by death. By the end of the show she’ll just finally accept it and own death by becoming a celestial being.
PS: I love the new icon. It’s lovely to see a little square of Enzo’s smile at the top of my screen.
Bless, you T. I do love that photo. He just keeps getting better looking and I don’t know how? I need him to explain because he looks better than he did when he started on TVD. It’s actually not fair. Also, ty re: the icon :D I love it too. It’s nice to have one of those unmistakeable smiles Enzo saved just for Bonnie watching over us as we chat :D
Ok, so I just read your spec and it’s all very interesting, my friend. It’ll be better than anything the writers come up with, no doubt, as the spec our fam comes up with always tends to be. Now I’m ngl because it’s going to be pretty evident I’m making less sense than I usually do, but I’ve had a tiny bit to drink with valentines and all of that so I was going to bluff my way through here but I’m pretty sure I’ll read it back and have made zero sense so I won’t ... I won’t try.
So here is the plan - I’m going to post this, come back on in the morning and I’m going to read them thoroughly. In the meantime, some people might read your spec and have something to add.
Ok lemmie check this omw to work tomorrow when my brain works again and congrats for being far too intellgent for me to handle rn. Also, good luck with the wisdom teeth! They are a mf, my friend xx

Some White Ideas
Will it be a white Christmas? Fingers crossed! We’re already inspired by some white ideas …
Of course, we know that no-one’s kitchen or dining room cupboard is going to look like this in the real world over Xmas, but it’s a nice idea, isn’t it?! Every cupboard or dresser is more likely to be stuffed with hastily-bought extra glassware, boxes of emergency mince-pies, and all the large serving dishes that have been brought out for the big day. But we can dream … I would be so pleased if I could have a dresser that looked like this. Perhaps if I shopped more often at Amara … have a look at all their gorgeous accessories …
As we’re enthusing over white kitchens at the moment, we wanted to highlight this simple design from British Standard Cupboards. British Standard Cupboards by Plain English are a very simple way of buying a new kitchen, and an average price is around £8,000, which puts into the affordable bracket of course. This lovely project is actually in a coastal town, so the fresh, white style is perfectly appropriate. But of course we think it would look equally gorgeous decked out with white and natural Nordic-style decs for this Christmas season!
The British Standard Cupboards range is off-the-shelf, suitable for all rooms in the home, but of course particularly for kitchens and utilities. It could also be perfect for a bathroom as well. It’s available on-line, all the cupboards are hand-crafted in the Plain English workshop in Suffolk and arrive at their destination assembled and with an eggshell undercoat, ready for each customer’s top coat colour of choice.
So we thought we had also better offer you a sleek, modern option for a pale kitchen. These are a couple of new ideas from Crown Imperial Kitchens, this is Driftwood, which is a new addition to the Textura collection. It’s paired here with Zeluso in cashmere. It’s a good combination, the textured finish adds interest and pattern, without overwhelming the scheme, and the handleless drawers and doors maintain that simple, streamlined look. Simply perfect!
If your kitchen is seriously sleek, glossy and sophisticated you may not feel inclined to strew too many Xmas decorations around. So, our suggestions for avoiding overkill include just decorating the staircase – simply done with an artificial garland and some hanging baubles. Takes up next to no space, and still looks as if you’re making an effort. This garland and baubles are all from a super selection at Next Home. Available online too, if you hurry!
Now this bathroom isn’t too Christmassy, but it does have a seasonal, glamorous feel. The combination of soft colour plus that bold blue for the cupboards looks enticing and would make overnight guests feel cherished! All the accessories are from the Matalan homeware range, so pop in or go online to create an affordable yet glam bathroom.
Another beautiful example of hall and staircase creative decorating. This time all the accessories and ideas come from Amara … have a little look here, it’s guaranteed that you’ll be inspired to glam up your home!
It’s nice to spruce up the spare room if you’re having guests to stay at Christmas, or if not, just do it for your own benefit, it’s such a nice thing to retreat into bed after a chaotic day … take a mug of hot chocolate, your Christmas playlist on the iPad and drift over under the fairy lights. Seasonal bedding is a treat, but hey it will last for years. We particularly like these two schemes; left, Brushed Cotton Berry Sprig bedlinen and pompom cushions from Next, and right, snowflake-inspired Elsie bedding from a superb collection of Xmas designs by Dunelm. Other patterns include Stags, Unicorns, Polar Bears, Trees, and all sorts of motifs. I’ve just managed to treat myself to this one. I also love that clever gold-painted border and gold wreaths. Very effective and an low-cost (just paint and time) project for creative souls.
I’ve been trying out this gadget, from Bosch – it’s the Zamo Digital Laser Measure. Now I’m always trying out various gadgets and sometimes I think that yes, they’re fab, but too much of a faff to stick with, and then there’s where to put it or store it etc. But this is a great little thing, it’s made life measuring up for curtains and wallpaper so much easier. It’s not the sort of thing that you’re going to use every day, but soooo handy to have in the toolkit or kitchen drawer for when you do actually need help. And of course it means that measuring up for virtually anything can be done one-handed, without getting someone in to stand at the top of the ladder or the other end of the tape measure. You can pretend it’s a light sabre too … Could be a good idea for the Xmas box!
This isn’t actually a scalpel, it’s a Skalpel steak knife. Razor sharp and a must-have item for serious carnivores. I hate trying to cut meat with an old blunt knife, and to be able to make neat cuts into a steak is a joy. Pulled pork has it’s place, but so has an extremely sharp table knife. It’s the kind of thing that would make a good gift (to a foodie, otherwise you might get strange looks)! Each individual knife can be personalised, and they are made from surgical grade steel, ergonomically designed and perfectly balanced, and, happily, handmade in Sheffield.
And finally … after the excesses of the festivities you may want to step back a bit and get on the healthy diet path again. Gain some extra enthusiasm with the Stellar Bluetooth Diet Scale. The app (for Android or iPhone) tracks intake and assesses nutritional info. It all sounds a bit scientific and intense, but for anyone who is already monitoring their protein intake and/or taking the appropriate supplements or is monitoring for health or weight loss/gain reasons, I think this will be a useful and welcome tool. PS don’t give it as a gift unless you a totally sure what the response will be ….
