Haven't We Been Here Before?
Prue Halliwell Appreciation Week 2024 - Day 3: Favourite Outfit/Colour
Cropped Pink Cardigan (Season 2, Episode 8)
Alternative version of the ending scene between Prue and Jack in 2x08. Once again, Jack is questioning of Prue’s business wardrobe. Read below the cut or on Ao3.
Author's Note: Let's be real, I didn't change much in the scene, but it's Prue/Jack content so who cares.
Prue stepped into her office and paused, suppressing a playful smirk. She was supposed to be business assertive but, damn it, she couldn’t help it.
“I could have sworn we already had this conversation… what are you doing in my chair?”
Jack Sheridan leaned back in the chair, not bothering to hide the smirk of his own. “And it seems neither of us were listening. You’re looking even more stunning than before. I don’t know how Buckland’s expects me to get any work done sending me to your office.”
“Ditto.” She placed her hands on her (noticeably exposed) hips. How ironic was it that she was wearing a pink cardigan right now when it was that version of her alter ego she was trying to suppress—or was it the blue cardigan side? Yes, blue cardigan. The point was that she wanted to respond to Jack’s witty quips in kind, playfully flirt with him, acknowledge their chemistry. But she couldn’t. No way. She had learned from her mistakes. That’s what the pink side represented, wasn’t it? She tugged at the hem of her shirt, reminding her of her position.
“Look, Jack, I’ve been burned before. It happened right in front of me, and I was too blind to realise until it was too late. I don’t know what kind of game you’re playing here, but I am not sacrificing my career again.”
Leaning forward, Jack slid a clipboard across the desk towards Prue. “Then I guess you don’t want to sign this…”
Prue took a hesitant step forward, scanning the contents of the page. “You… listed me as the sales agent for the Fujimoto sale?”
“It… was your deal, wasn’t it?” At his genuine look of confusion, Prue suppressed a smile.
“Thanks. For covering for me.” She reached for a pen and scribbled down her name where it belonged.
“Of course.” His cheery face dropped into a slight frown. “Prue, I’m sorry about whatever it was that happened to you before, but I assure you that won’t happen now. I want to learn from you, not steal from you.”
Prue sighed. “I’m sorry too. I’ve let it influence my opinion of you. I mean, you do definitely drive me crazy, but…” she shrugged. “I don’t know, I think you’re growing on me.”
Jack grinned. “I am, am I?”
Prue rolled her eyes. God, he frustrated her. But there was something about it that she craved so much. She definitely wasn’t ready to jump into a relationship with a coworker when she was still healing from Roger’s betrayal—not to mention she was still grieving Andy’s death. Even so, there was nothing wrong with having some fun… right? It’s not like one date would mean she’d have to marry him.
She opened her mouth, hesitating just a moment longer before speaking. “Yes. So I think I could tolerate having dinner with you. To say thanks.”
“Well,” he leaned forward, a mischievous glint in his eyes. “Will you be wearing that?”
This time, her smile was genuine. “Oh, I have stuff much better than this.”
“Ugh,” Jack cried in mock distress, raising his hands. “You’re killing me here!”
“You’ll just have to wait until dinner.” She turned, suppressing a laugh. If her choice of clothing had just as much as an impact on him as he claimed, then she was going to go out of her way to make him as miserable as possible. It was only fair.

A hustler wants to ignore many occult warnings and unearth a famous skeleton, but they’ll have to turn themselves in.
Fandom: Charmed
Word Count: 250/100
“Prue, there’s not a lot of options here,” Jack said, rubbing his temples. “We are expected to bring in over $100K of merchandise to auction, by Friday morning, which is in,” he checked his watch, “thirty-four hours.”
She sighed, looking up from her desk. While she was panicking inside, she wasn’t going to give Jack the satisfaction of seeing her squirm. “This isn’t the first time Buckland has required a hefty turnaround in such a short period of time.”
“Yes. Do you want to share how you were able to secure a quarter of a million dollars the last time this demand came up?” Prue gave a snarky smile in response, but didn’t reply. Jack sighed. “So knowing that, there’s a high chance that my lead is all we’ve got.”
“Your lead is… is half baked at best.” She put her hands on her desk, pushing up to standing. “You want to break into an unidentified grave in hopes that it’s this, this lost pirate, am I right?”
“It isn’t hope, it’s a fact.” He pulled out the book he had under his arm, opening to the bookmarked page. “Look at these symbols. They’re all over that cage.” He knew Prue had an affinity for the supernatural, so he gave himself a mental high five as she turned the book towards her, flipping through a few of the pages. She furrowed her brow as she read a page.
“Jack, grave robbing is illegal. What part of that aren’t you getting?”

One of the reasons I think prue is annoying cuz pls why couldn’t anyone else have anything that prue couldn’t
#the reason why phoebe started kickboxing was because she didn’t have an active power#why did prue *always* have to be better and the jack of all trades#like yes I wouldn’t have mind if prue and piper started defensive training eventually or as a way to get closer as a family but still#I get that Alyssa was hard to work with but from my understanding so was Shannon#any this isn’t relevant to the topic at hand but prue stans are annoying to me her fans are fine like base level fans#*anyways#charmed critical#charmed 1998#charmed#maybe Idk the whole story which I’m fine in not not knowing

It would have been a great finale had we gotten a full season and proper character and plot development for all.
I will never forgive them for treating Jack in such a diminishing way. He was a great character, he had values, an interesting back story and a vrey promising future and they just threw that all away, for what?
He was abandoned as a baby, grew up in the system, was abused but never let his traumatizing past define his ablities. The writers missed a golden opportunity to adress a serious issue. What happens to the firefighters who can no longer fight! It would be amazing to see Jack's journey through this new path that he was forced to follow. And even in the finale, they reduced him to being a side kick for Andy.
He deserved more and I will never stop saying that.
Also, yes it was very moving watching Prue go down her father's career path. But I feel like this needs to stop. Children are not their parents projection. I would rather see her follow any other dream.
Of course I am happy for Maya/ Carina and of coure Travis/ Vic. Souls mates are not always romantically involved but spiritually, and these two had the most honest and realistic relationship out of all.
Farewell Station 19, despite some disappointments, you will be missed!

Station 19 S07e10
19!
I'm overwhelmed by feelings. It's amazing how much fictional characters can make you feel.
My hope and wish for the end of these characters was for them to have a resolution and be happy.
Honestly, I can't complain. Maybe I should wait for the excitement to die to write anything about it.
But I love the ending for every character. I loved how they incorporated these "dreams" into the action scenes.
Andy as Chief is a great resolution for her. Jack being her true love was not something I was expecting. I feel it was something they pulled out at the last minute, and don't get me wrong I'm not opposed to it, Andy and Jack could have worked if they had more seasons and Grey wouldn't have left.
Ross. I'd hoped Natasha had something more in mind than marrying Bob but she is always being "My man My man My man" so it's fitting
Robert. One thing I loved about these flashforwards was that they were connected. Sully dreamed of that because in Ross's dream, they were already married, so he got to be with her.
Travis's most important relationship is with Vic. If I had Vic as a friend, I'd be like that too. Uprooting your life like that to move with your best friend is really brave.
Warren is probably my least favorite character but that's because he is boring but he is a good man. I was emotional watching his kids all grow.
Beckett is so unserious because why is he dreaming of Ross' sister.
Vic. She made me cried because she deserves everything that it's good in life. I'm so so so happy she didn't end up with Theo. She is helping people and living her best life. My beautiful queen.
Carina's dream is so important bc she had no one, her brother and mom died, and her father is trash. She was alone and then met this stubborn firefighter and said I want a big family with her, and that's what she did. Bring her back to Grey's you cowards.
Maya. My sweet beautiful, reckless, bisexual, hot, brave, selfless, stubborn, broken Maya. Her future was so bright without clouds. She falls asleep thinking about her wife and three kids. Maya who made me come back for season 2, and here I am seven seasons later, just a mess of emotion.
When I saw Carina enter that bar, it took me a whole ass minute to realize what they were trying to do. Why Carina was there. I'll never forget that excitement and I'll always be thankful for pairing them.
It's so weird to see that kind of representation. We didn't need coming out stories or the usual homophobia. Also, they were proud bisexuals and I'm always thankful that Maya said that with her whole chest. That was so important.
Now, my random thoughts about the episode.
I love the scene with the aluminum thing. That was cool and terrifying.
I loved it when Andy showed up. I was crying like she rescued me.
Danielle is so bad at screaming, her voice cracked up so much.
I loved Maya worried about Andy
I loved Carina suiting up finally. It was so funny.
I loved that we got to see adult Prue, and my god the legacy she is carrying.
I loved to see Andy as chief and Maya as captain.
I loved Carina doing what she preaches. Like Maya my god make yourself useful and give that woman an orgasm.
I'm not a fan of the Deluca-Bishop name tag because I just don't like hyphenating last names in general but I think it is cute they did that little detail for the fans who have really been asking for it.
Now for the last scene, keep in mind, that I've been crying the whole episode. Then this hit
I just laughed out loud. Omg, those are some terrible wigs. What was the point? What were they trying to achieve? To make them look older?
You should have put some gray hair and move it along. Like why they were having a bob off. Why would you do that to them?
Let me clean my eyes with Maya's real bob and the hottest she looked in the show.
Anyway, I'm always thankful when I get to experience a TV show so deeply. Even tho the cancellation is unfair. At least we got a proper ending.
I'm also glad that we got actors who cared deeply about their characters and respected them so much.
I'm a mess but 19 forever.

Day 1 of #Prueweek2024 - Favourite Episode/Season
My favourite season - not just for Prue but for all of Charmed - is Season 2. While Season 6 has given me my OTP (Chris x Bianca), and Season 3 has given me many of my most beloved Charmed episodes (All Halliwell's Eve, Power Outage, Bride and Gloom...), it's Season 2 that truly got to me. And especially due to Prue Halliwell's character development in this season.
Season 2 is where Prue faced the biggest struggles, but the way she overcame them time and time again was (and let's be honest, still is) inspiring.
She got into an old passion and turned it into a new profession. She gave herself time to think about what she wanted from a job and took risks to get it.
She wrote and simultaneously cast a new spell to help an innocent despite being nervous about getting it right (first time she wrote on herself if I'm not mistaken).
She faced a bad time in her life head on (due to magically induced depression) and got out of it with the help of her sisters.
She opened her heart once more after Andy (talking about Jack, and yes, he's not her type usually but she gave it a shot and it's a huge step putting yourself out there again after suffering such a huge loss).
She dealt with her mother's death, and got rid of the demon who caused it.
There are many more moments in this season and if anyone wants to join in on the reminiscing, please feel free to do so.

Hello, love! Congrats on the follower milestone! I’m sorry I’m so late. I’ve been super busy the past couple of days. If no one has sent in a request for Jack to see Shiv, I’d love to read how that interaction would go. If you want. Please and thank you. You’re the best. ☺️❤️
Sarah, my love! Thank you for sending Jack to Shiv's salon, the cowboy yearning is real ❤️ While this is not Palomino Jack, it's definitely a softer version of him compared to canon. I hope you like it babe!
Shiv's Salon: Jack Daniels
548 words | warnings: Jack is an outrageous flirt, which is an actual endangerment to life. He's also an unapologetic attention whore.
It's the first of the month, which means two things.
One, your favourite ladies - a trio of grandmothers who have been your regulars since you started up the salon - are here for their monthly blowout and tea session.
And two, Jack Daniels will be coming in for his monthly haircut.
You can't help that your eyes flicker to the clock on the wall. You don't know if it's a habit, or if somehow, you can actually sense him coming.
At exactly three on the dot, the door to the salon swings wide open.
You have no idea what he actually does for a living that allows him to stroll in for a leisurely haircut in the middle of the afternoon, but you'll bet those polished western boots have never touched stirrup irons, and the cowboy hat is more for show than for function.
One corner of his mouth tugged upwards in a roguish grin, and he all but purrs in his honeyed baritone. 'Howdy, ladies.'
You roll your eyes at the collective, feminine sigh that cuts through the salon. This man is a lady killer of the highest order and he never misses.
Jack sidles up to you first at the counter, not missing your reaction to his dramatic entrance, holding up your coffee order from your favourite place - he never comes empty-handed.
'No smile for ol' Jack today, honey?'
'Isn't it enough that you have the whole salon fawning over you?' you shoot back without any real sting, taking the paper cup from him and setting it on the counter.
'Don't be jealous, sweetheart,' he chides, leaning across the counter to pin you with his warm, playful eyes. 'You know I have a thing for women in charge, and you're very much the boss here.'
'Hey!' calls out Ashton from where he's adjusting the salon dryer for Prue. 'Don't play favourites now, mister, that's not fair!'
Jack winks at you, then turns to cross the salon with a swagger that is uniquely his, placating his captive audience. 'Ladies, ladies! There's no need to fight over me, there's plenty of this ol' cowboy to go 'round!'
He absolutely loves being the centre of attention and to his credit, he repays it threefold. He asks after Ashton's Grindr escapades, compliments Edith on her new lipstick and thanks Betty for the cobbler recipe she gave him last month.
By the time his adoring crowd lets him go, you're waiting for him by his usual chair, the coffee he bought you buzzing in your bloodstream.
He takes off his hat and tweed jacket, hangs them on the coat rack, then settles into the styling chair, meeting your eyes in the mirror. 'What about you, honey? Still going out with that boyfriend of yours?'
'It will be the same answer no matter how many times you ask - it's none of your business, cowboy,' you answer firmly, running your fingers through his hair to gauge the length.
Undeterred, he smiles, the corners of his eyes crinkling endearingly. 'You know being mean to me will only make me fall in love with you, don't you?'
You shake your head, and despite yourself, your lips twitch into a smile. 'Is it a threat or a challenge, Jack Daniels?'
He grins. 'Whatever you'd like it to be, sweetheart.'
Fuck Yeah 1.2k Sleepover

Long tangent. Started as marina and andy but got carried away. Don't read if you're sensitive and can't handle being critical of media.
On screen this season have we actively seen Andy interact with maya about the pregnancy? I want to say no. We really haven't seen a lot of Andy to begin with(it really feels like they leaned more on moving the story of the station through ross. Which just feels lazy and unnecessary. Ross does not need to be a focal point. Yes we get the bits about Andy trying to find ways of saving money without getting rid of anyone. But other than that she's just there. She got captain and then just really became this background character... they really said this is her only personality.)
But I digress, so Andy is the one to tell the team about liam right. At the ross/sullivan thing. But that just feels so lazy too. We get the moment where maya(as always) is supportive and there for Andy's captaincy christening or whatever, and the little moment before that where we get a flash back of them at the academy. Plus in episode one we get maya kind of giving Andy the pep talk. But other than that🤷♀️
So yea it just feels really lazy to have Andy suddenly be in the know about maya and carina and the possible struggle of adopting liam.(yes things can happen off screen but there's so much important talks and interactions happening off screen while irrelevant things happen on screen. TV is visual. We should be seeing and experiencing these moments)
This season has spent so much time on characters that do not need it. So many dynamics that do not need it. But when it comes to maya and andy... one of their root relationships, like andy and maya have been special to this show since s1... but we can't even get them actually talking?
Like we can't see andy talking about how far maya has come. Can't see her telling maya how happy for her she is? Nobody thought this would be good scenes to film? Andy who was there for their wedding, who helped convinced maya to stand up to Lane and invite her mom to the wedding?? Or like it would've been cool to have Andy come over to their new home, Andy having moments with liam in an "aunt herrera" type of way...(like just anything that could kind up resemble baby prue).
It really is just maya and carina in their own bubble until the writers suddenly want to put in a line(that feels half assed or last minute) to show "Hey yea remember the firehouse is a family"...)
This also reminds me of the way Jack's story is just resolved off screen after like 1 or 2 episodes? They could've drawn it out, could've shown the team, shown andy(give her something more than background captain character) being there for him and helping him find his next calling.
The way they just so easily write him out but then have him lingering in moments like the funeral and andy captain thing...like if they cared at all about their og characters they could've given him more.
Instead we got an episode storyline with beckett and his family(and like cool we see where the alcoholism comes from) but the continued desperation to have the audience sympathize with beckett. The continued way of trying to have the audience forget he spent a whole season and a half tormenting, harassing, and abusing his power while putting his team and civilians in danger...(no he doesn't need to be condemned to his actions-although the story has done no hesitations about condemning maya at every turn-but it would be nice if his story was actually well rounded. There was no real consequences for him. No real inner reflection when it comes to what he did to maya and the position he put the team in. Same with Ross. They really just wrote her as complacent(and wrote most of her time as chief with the only concern being her relationship with sullivan... but we're also supposed to forget that while they constantly have them talking about their marriage and how much they love each other and blah blah. Girl couldn't even balance being chief.)
