what are your thoughts on the hana ni kaze cover...

➥ i don’t know the popular fandom opinion on it, but i like it. strictly speaking about the vocals / sound here. it’s not like super stand out for me. i don’t want to say it’s not good, it’s just that there’s a lot of other vbs stuff i’d rank above it. i’m always a little iffy with toya’s higher vocals. i don’t think they’re bad, just that i tend to prefer his voice in lower octaves and he doesn’t always get to do it.

➥ i’m also a person where pjsk introduces me to most of these songs, so i do sometimes think having one or the other version be the first one you heard biases you to it. honestly it’s pretty back and forth on whether i prefer the cover or original.

➥ mainly it’s just one of those songs where i like listening to it now and then, but it’s probably never going to be an on repeat kinda song. it’s also possible it needs time to grow on me. i wasn’t much of a fan of some stuff like gekkou / moonlight and rekka / blazing at first but they’re both songs i adore and do play on loop now.

➥ i also thought the MV was really fun! i think i have a post from that coming later this week!

I made a tier list from who I could beat to who’d demolish me

Reasons:

Kanade: she can barely stand in the sun

Nene: yeah she is in wxs but still I could beat her

Ichika: it’s just a feeling

Shiho: i don’t even know

Saki: she was in the hospital for years and even then but tsukasa and the rest of l/n would hunt me down

Toya: I’m not sure he did much physical stuff

Kohane: she’s short and small

Ena: she probs has the exact same body and strength as me

Airi: I think it’s a tie?

Mizuki: they could beat me

Minori: she trained really hard everyday to be an idol she would serve my ass in a golden platter

Tsukasa: he gets climbed on and attacked by emu nearly everyday and also is testing Rui’s inventions

Shizuku: i would kill myself she wouldn’t even have to breath

Mafuyu: idk she’d just would

Rui: I’d try but he is tall

An: she just looks kinda stronk

Honami: buff honami appreciation

Haruka: she’s been an idol since childhood and she plays basketball

Akito: he went from last place to first in a minute while holding tsukasa on his back no doubt I’m dead

Emu: did you see how she jumped and attacked tsukasa in the wxs anime summary thing! I guess this one’s more of a joke, maybe I’d put her between minori and mizuki?

Honestly I just don't like Gimme x Gimme. I don't know what happened in this cover, but An and Akito's voices were so strange, especially Akito's, it sounded more like they were pointing a gun at his head and forcing him to sing...
