‼️”Not long ago, a friend of mine made a major decision that eventually led to the breakup of his family. I spoke with the friend about the wrong thinking that was controlling his actions. His reply was the common Christian retort: “Well, I’ve prayed, and I have peace about it.”
I was shocked by his response. I could not see how a mature believer could claim, that as an answer to prayers for wisdom needed in a tough situation, the Lord had supplied “peace” toward a course of action that was in contradiction to the Scriptures.
The Lord offers to provide supernatural relief from anxieties to those who seek him in prayer: “And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus” (Phil. 4:7). But this promise is often wrongly used as a way to feel a sense of “peace” about what one has determined for himself to be the will of God.
We impose the notion of “God’s peace” on these desires (even when they contradict Scripture) because they will lead to the absence of pain. God’s will, in contrast, tends to involve harder paths that demand suffering and endurance.
When a marriage struggles with intimacy, it is easy to envy the friend who left his marriage and appears to be happy in an adulterous relationship. This type of friend cannot be a measure for determining the will of God, because he is living in sin. Rather, the Christian friend enduring a less-than-perfect-marriage with joy is the one you should seek. We should go to such friends and share the depth of our suffering so that they can walk with us through our trials.
Whenever we are in pain (mentally, physically, or emotionally), and we want to be free from that pain, we must beware of our desires affecting how we “hear” the voice of God. We have to base it only on the Word of God and not our feelings. If we do not hold our decisions to the standard of God's Word, any peace or joy that we think we are experiencing outside of God's will is a deception that will not and cannot ever last.
Our Lord Jesus, with a full understanding of the wrath facing him at the Cross, came to a settled decision in prayer: “My Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me; nevertheless, not as I will, but as you will” (Mt. 26:42). By embracing suffering rather than letting it be the missing piece in determining God’s will, he was able to provide us the peace we need to endure our trials as the will of God.
~ Eric C. Redmond
Father I pray You renew my mind and thoughts and align them with Your Will, according to Your Word.
Saying, “Father, if you are willing, remove this cup from me. Nevertheless, not my will, but yours, be done.” Luke22:42
Give thanks in ALL circumstances; for THIS is the WILL OF GOD for you. 1stThessalonians 5:18
For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope. Jeremiah29:11
Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths. Proverbs3:5-6
Many are the plans in the mind of a man, but it is the purpose of the Lord that will stand. Proverbs19:21
Therefore do not be foolish, but understand what the will of the Lord is. Ephesians5:17
If anyone's will is to do God's will, he will know whether the teaching is from God or whether I am speaking on my own authority. John7:17

#PROVERBS19:15 Slothfulness casteth into a deep sleep; and an idle soul shall suffer hunger. #INSPIRATION Slothfulness and idleness do not bring any rewards. Think about it – how is a man going to achieve any gains if he spends his days sleeping? Those who are unmotivated end up suffering. While we need sleep, too much sleep will render us useless. In the same way, we need food, but those who are idle do not work. If one does not work, then he will not be able to eat. In your spiritual life, these same metaphors apply. Those who do not care about their spiritual lives will suffer and perish because of it. #PRAYER Dear God, it is easy to have days when we do not want to do anything, but we know having this attitude can have long-term effects. Help us to seek you rather than grow stagnant or complacent about you. Forgive us for the times when our slothfulness has kept us from doing as we should and prevented us from growing in our spiritual lives. Thank you for your forgiveness and for renewing our spirits. Help me to be motivated to give my best to my job, studies and spiritual life in order to serve you. In Jesus' name, amen. As necessary as zeal is in life, it must be tempered with wisdom. Untempered zeal leads to painful situations that are difficult and even sometimes impossible to repair. We cannot lead the Holy Spirit. We must allow the Holy Spirit to lead us. He is not a child we take by the hand and drag along after us as we accomplish our own agendas while we demand his obligatory blessing. This world is most excellent at enticing us to rush through life, but if we slow down and take a beat to hear how the Spirit desires to counsel us, we will find a startling distinction between His timing and our own. We must recognize the urge to do things on our time as the selfish and controlling spirit that it is. Take time to ponder so you don’t squander the gifts you’ve been given and season you are in. Time was given to us for our benefit. Scripture is clear that God is not constrained by time yet it is also clear that He has laid out very specific directives for how He desires us to operate within time. We don’t know how many grains of sand is in each of our hourglasses, but we must be diligent to use each one to further the work of His kingdom, to be a blessing and not a thorn to others. The wisdom with which we exercise our zeal directly impacts other people’s lives and that is something we dare not consider lightly. #proverbs19 #hastemakeswaste #dontbehasty #bethoughtful #consequences #slowdown #thinkaboutitthursday #relationshipadvice #holyspirit #wisecounsel #goodsteward #proverbs #wisdom https://www.instagram.com/p/BzxnuWflE6w/?igshid=qhdwxkguuaym

July 29 - Proverbs 19:1-3
1 Better the poor whose walk is blameless than a fool whose lips are perverse. 2 Desire without knowledge is not good — how much more will hasty feet miss the way! 3 A person’s own folly leads to their ruin, yet their heart rages against the LORD.
Rage against God is not all that uncommon (v3b). In fact, I’d say it’s quite common. And usually it’s born of complete foolishness. One of the most common reasons for being angry at God is that God fails, in our minds, to do what we want Him to do. We either get mad because He fails to change our circumstances or because He fails to change us. About once or twice a year I get hooked on some show on Netflix that causes me to go into binge-watching mode. One of those shows was “The Flash.” If you don’t know anything about this superhero, he’s got tremendous speed. But something else shaped his life more than his speed. It was watching his mom get murdered when he was a child. Fast forward to years later, and there is an episode in this television series (spoiler alert!) where The Flash goes back in time to stop his mother’s murder. But in doing so, he finds that too much of life was changed negatively by his intervention in that past moment. In fact, so much was thrown out of balance that he actually takes the would-be murderer back in time once more to allow him to murder his mother again for good! That’s messed up! But it’s also the story of a person who thought he knew what was best for himself, when, in the long run, his trials had led him to be the man he was meant to be. You may have circumstances from your past that don’t seem right to you. And it may make you angry at God. But could it be that He knows more than you about why that situation took place? Could there be a trail of events that stemmed from that moment in time that God actually ordained? Could that moment be a moment that God meant to shape you rather than harm you? Speaking of shaping, we also get mad at God because He doesn’t change us from our own harmful ways. Could it be that we don’t truly want to break free from the lifestyles and actions that we supposedly hate? Do you 100% desire to break free from certain sins in your life? Maybe it’s time to answer that question before choosing to be angry at God! It could just be that there is still some small part of you that actually longs for and enjoys what you’re doing! The foolishness of not wanting to let go of the sinful pleasures in life are the real reasons we don’t find freedom (v3a). God desires freedom for us. We need to be honest about just how much we desire it for ourselves!
Prayer: Lord, forgive me for the times that I mis-direct my anger towards you. I acknowledge that you know infinitely more than I know and that you are infinitely more wise than I am. Help me to trust your reasons for letting things happen, and help me through the pain that comes through difficult circumstances. Help me to desire change in my own heart and not to blame you for those times that I’m holding on to sin because I don’t fully want to let it go. May I desire the things for me that your heart desires! Amen.

The Reason. I grew up telling everyone "I want to be an engineer someday" and lo and behold I am currently fulfilling my job as a nurse. It is not because of the idea that nursing is the only noble profession (Read: 1 Corinthians 10:31) or I can serve people. But, because through God's wisdom it reveals me that it is Lord's plan for me. A way for me to know God and to get to know him more; and for God to change me day-after-day and help me to fulfill my purpose of serving Him.

New Experience
I failed but it doesn’t mean I quit.
I applied to this ESL online tutor because I want to spend my time being productive and also to my expand my horizon in my chosen field. I had my interview yesterday and I failed. I knew for myself that I did my best and failing doesn’t mean I am going to quit. May be God was telling me that, again, He has a better plan for me. Anyway, I am still waiting for my other interview in VXI (a BPO company) so let His will be done.
