I wasn't raised catholic but my dad was and it showed in his parenting so I was raised like 1 degree of separation from catholicism. it's like around 60% of the neuroticism and trauma but with none of the aesthetics. thankfully my mum was goth so I developed an appreciation for appropriated christian symbols from that side.
