Self indulgent Mafuyu headcanon:

Mafuyu doesn’t really think of her name too often. After the whole mafumom incident, she kind of wonders about her identity. She had an identity as OWN, an identity as Mafuyu and an identity as Yuki. She goes along with Mafuyu because that’s her name but she doesn’t think it was a right fit for her. Like it was part of the identity that she didn’t see herself as. She’s now referred to by close friends as Yuki because while Yuki isn’t really a name that she fully identifies with, it’s the one that she can connect to the most. Yuki doesn’t know to handle her identity but little by little she’s forming a new self. She isn’t sure where it will take her or if it’s her true identity but she’ll make it work.

I think there has to be a kind of problem with my kins right now…

Currently, I kin Furina from Genshin Impact, Tsukasa Tenma from Project Sekai and Sonic the Hedgehog who’s self explanatory. I’m also considering Toya Aoyagi as a kin but I’m still unsure.

anyways, these three (four?) have two things in common: They believe themselves to be second choices and they’re willing to put others first more than themselves.

Furina is a peculiar piece of this because it’s easy to say that she isn’t anyone’s second choice, she was the face of Fontaine for years after all, but that isn’t Furina, that’s Focalors, that’s the persona she made up for the role of an archon she never knew. When most people in Fontaine think of Furina they think of that persona and not Furina herself, even she doesn’t think herself when she remembers her life.

And it’s that life she played, those 500 years of a very demanding role, that she demonstrates her undying love for Fontaine and humanity, which I would say was naturally imbedded into her since her creation because of that whole “Focalors is Furina as Furina is Focalors” thing. Furina was willing to take a risk of a role she could not see the ending of and possibly fail just for the chance that the same people who were as human as she was would still continue on.

meanwhile Tsukasa Tenma is a more simpler case, having a very ill sister means it wasn’t easy having his parents attention, so he usually up the antics, but he too carries so much love for everyone around him so he doesn’t become mean or a bully, but he tries to be a beacon of joy and support, even insisting(maybe?) on his parents focus on Saki and that he’ll be fine.

Tsukasa held onto this mental promise to bring joy to everyone until his need for comfort and attention took over and changed his will to become a star from “making others happy” to “being the best, being the first choice”. Although he comes to remember the true reason why he wanted to become a star, that doesn’t exactly erase the feeling of needing to be the first choice, of needing to be valued, and I imagine this feeling is what drove him in his Pheonix event. (I know it’s kind of explicitly stated in the event story but it rounds out the post in my mind)

and then Sonic T. Hedgehog, honestly, he’s one of the cases where you assume you know everything about him but then you’re asked something about him that you realize you don’t actually know.

Anyways, Sonic does have pretty common cases of putting others needs above his own, just look at Frontiers and the Metal Virus arc, where he avoids showing his struggles to his friends because he’s supposed to be the carefree comfort guy, sure he knows that he can depend on his friends, but that doesn’t ease the situation any more than the situation not happening would.

And he acts undisturbed by being a second choice, always go with your first choice since they bring out the best in you, but it hurts inside him because even as a kid he was always second choice. And in the classic days, he was more harsher and less dependent on his friends, if we’re going with classic classic days, because he felt like he shouldn’t bother with anyone if he was just going to stay as second choice, though by then the gang had brought a period of… not silence(?) and after consideration he figured that being second choice was better than the deafening silence of loneliness.

Cant get over the thought that prosekai characters are easy to kin/relate to because the devs and stuff wanted to connect with us and tell us that "hey you're okay, you're not the only one who feels this and that's okay because we're here for you so here's this character that you'll relate to and eventually gets better in hopes you'll get better too" cause pjsk wants to reach out to us and stuff augh i hare you sega and colorful pallete/pos/aff

Miku and the virtual singers r the devs, Sega and cp , you're the main chars cuz miku is always wanting to reach out to them

The gacha gods were so nice that I also got viola and even gems left <3. Time to uninstall and download prosekai again. (Didn't get five times btw I just save candy up). Obv glad I got him and like. Love him would die for him yada yada but I'm sorry I never vibed with him having anything but his typical hairstyle idk it always feels wrong.

Sjdifhfkfb I didn't have pokemas deleted for even a full month bc of storage and yknow gacha everything (and as someone who likes basically everyone and is a sucker for pretty fits it's. bad. saving up non-existent like in others) and then I see fucking leaks on twt that make me contemplate getting it again. Dena heard I deleted it and went we can't have that. Targeted attack 😭. I literally went "well the thing I was most excited about is over and I barely touch it nowadays" when deleting it and now. Everyone hope the gacha gods are nice to me please I cannot have a petty pull 🥺

KAZUICHI IM GRIPPING HIM.

- Kazuichi is gay. Full stop hands down. I’ve seen people make him bi but oh my god he is so closeted and trying so hard to be attracted to women it’s painful to watch! he’s almost afraid of women!! He is a boykisser

- I think postcanon he’s compulsively clean? Like he keeps having flashbacks of being covered in blood and grime and oil as a remnant and he scrubs his skin so hard he rubs it raw sometimes. He’s skittish and gets triggered pretty easily and hides in his clothes a lot . He is struggling.

- on the upside of things, he starts taking care of himself more. His hair is super fluffy and he stops wearing contacts and his skin is clear and everyone’s like “wait souda’s actually. Attractive? Under all that??????” Even his terrible haircut grows out!

- postgame he has a huge paradigm shift and stops being immature and stupid around Sonia and he apologizes profusely for his behavior. She accepts his apology gracefully and he kind of overcompensates a little trying to make up for it but it’s so funny to see Sonia go “I’m a little thirsty” and souda go “IM ON IT” for an entirely different reason. He’s almost Fearful. It’s so sillay

- he has a tiny gender crisis after the sexuality crisis and kind of experiments a little with pronouns and presentation, but he realizes at the end of the day he’s a cis guy who likes to crossdress sometimes and likes presenting fem!! I have some hcs about him girlmoding and going on E for aesthetic reasons too but those tread into nsfw territory and this blog is pg13 so
