“Hiro!” The two blonds called out to him, quickly hustling over to him as fast as both wearing heals and respective experience in running in heals. “Hiro, you’re like all into aliens and shit, tell Miss Sonia I’m an augmented human!” Miu started out the gate with a bold demand.

“It is not so simple Miss Miu, I must refute that statement. I do not believe science has come so far. Though, soon that may be true with your work ethic.” Sonia ponders, but declines the ideology. That’s when the two of them turn to look at Hiro, wide eyed as if to cue him on to what ever script they were rolling on.

🌌 MILKY WAY - what was the inspiration behind your oc? what was the first thing you decided about them?

The desire for more strong female representation in media is a huge inspiration.

I remember having an itch, and picking up a canon character wasn't the answer. There was a very strong need to create when Ariadne first came into being, and I poured way too much time, love and energy into making her who she is. So while I have made original characters before her, and with quite an amount of detail themselves, I don't think any of them came as naturally. Those who came before were created for someone, or for something. Ariadne on the other hand was created simply for me, and me wanting to, and once I started I fell hopelessly in love.

That inspiration went from this intense sudden creation (which I gushed about to who I'm about to tag), to this sustained and wholly fleshed out original character when @stratagemichor entered the arena and Ariadne was then a twin character with the creation of Vergil alongside her. That was game over. Never has she left my mind or gone quiet since, so clearly Skit who writes Vergil has been another well of inspiration, being able to throw ideas to one another and have someone to collaborate with has undoubtedly given Ariadne more life than I could have given her alone.

As for other media! If I were to name other characters from media that serve as inspiration I'd have to include: Gretel (Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters), Tituba (Salem), Lagertha (Vikings), San (Princess Mononoke), Yennefer of Vengerberg (The Witcher media), Satsuki Kiryuin (Kill la Kill - however I have OPINIONS about the show, I recognise the character's strength) and various others where I couldn't possibly name them all off the top of my head.

Unapologetic fantasy, not belonging to a fandom but her own world, power that's beyond the expectation for an original character and a female one at that - all of these delicious things continue to give Ariadne life.

(Do you know of any resources that dictate what a Navigator is in the Persona universe? I'm only familiar with the main 3-4-5 games, and there doesn't seem to be much information as to what designates a Persona-user as a Navigator over a combat-suited role. Not much is given, but for something that has a "title", it sounds like you'd have to be trained specifically for the job. Maybe I'm missing that info from spin-offs or something. Thanks in advance!)

In P1 and P2, every character’s Persona is shown to have a certain amount of “navigation” potential. For example, characters will sometimes state their Persona feels “anxious” or “senses something dangerous up ahead”.

I think the same is true for the games after, and Fuuka, Rise and Futaba are just those rare cases of Persona Users whose Persona’s energy is more focused on sensing or transmitting information, rather than on self-defense or expressing aggression. Mitsuru’s case is a good example of that: Her Persona is mostly combat focused, but its sensing capabilities are strong enough to help navigating Tartarus. 

Fuuka actually voices a hypothesis about that late in Persona 3: Her Persona is primarily a scanner because Fuuka is extremely concerned with understanding what other people expect of her, to the point that it reflects in her Persona. 

Similarly, Rise has a preoccupation with how she is *perceived* by other people and how she can make them perceive her differently, so her Persona “broadcasts” information about her to others and about others to her. 

As for Futaba, while she is a shut in who’s not especially connected to the outside world, she’s always hungry for information, hence why her Persona is Necronomicon, and that hunger for information is reflected in its powers: She can use her Persona to *suck up* information about the things around her and distribute them. It’s a result of her extreme curiosity.

So to sum up, Fuuka’s Persona reads hearts, because Fuuka wants to understand people. Rise’s Persona broadcasts her thoughts and receives the thoughts of others, because Rise wants to broadcast herself and receive other’s feedback. Futaba’s Persona sucks up and distributes information, because Futaba is one of what Japanese scholar Azuma Hiroki called a “Database Animal” herself. 

Before you ask, Mitsuru’s case is a little different: Since she’s desperate to learn what she needs to do to safe her father from her family’s legacy, that “despair to learn” is reflected in her Persona. 

Teddie and Morgana don’t count. Teddie’s Persona doesn’t have unusual scanning capabilities (contrary to Mitsuru’s false assumption in P4U), he does; because he’s a Shadow and thus entirely made of information and emotions himself, he can sense the emotions and information of others. It’s as simple as hearing a human voice is to us. Ditto for Morgana; he’s a Velvet Room denizen, and those beings can sense presences the same way as Shadows can.

A soft sigh leaves the nurses’ lips as she stares out at the down pour of rain. She knew it as going to storm today, that’s why she brought an umbrella with her. Unfortunately someone cut holes in her umbrella. So she was stuck there, waiting out the storm. She walks over to a trash bin, chucking her ruined umbrella in it. She stared at it for a moment before she returned her gaze to the rain. Watching the rain come down was so peaceful.  Plus at this point she figured she was alone, seems everyone had left besides maybe some of the staff. She turned on her heels a little fast wanting to go organized her locker while she waits for the storm to pass -  that’s when she bumped into someone’s chest! The nurse emitted a soft squeak, took a shaky step backwards only to fall on her butt, looking up at him. ❝I...I’m sorry!❞  Another student? And it seems he didn’t have an umbrella either! Suddenly she didn’t feel so alone.

Toges carrying a hankie everywhere. Like, straight up cloth he coughs in, embroided with the Togami initals (If he sewed it on himself, thats for you to decide.) And he just, has moments of violently coughing, and some sequences he has to wash the hankie due to blood, or something else.

Fukawa would have the worst luck with it.. Considering Towa. Unless It has a air cleansing facility like i think it does.. But, if I’m wrong, Fukawa would have it worse then the other survivors. Part of me wonders if she’d have Asthma because of it?

And even though Aoi is really healthy, I think this probably stunted her a fair bit. And even with Naegi’s normal health, he’s probably like, having to take moments to just

chill and breathe because he feels like he cant?

"Tsumiki-cchi?" the voice calls out,"Are you here today?" A sweet scent followed behind the sound to the school clinic, neither cloying or heavy on the nose. Yasuhiro poked his head through the door searching for Mikan. ( @prophetrick )

"Y-Yes? I'm here," She lifted her head at the sound of her name, grey eyes scanning the entire room before landing on the face in the doorway of the infirmary. Upon seeing the clairvoyant Mikan brightened up, a polite smile pulling at her lips. She closed the book she had been reading and hid it in amongst her things inside her book bag before turning her attention to Yasuhiro.

"D-Do you need some m-medical help, H-Hagakure-san? How c-can I help?"

For some time the raven-haired man stood in a complete silence as his head slightly turned towards the fortuneteller, just enough to give him a proper look. To hear something like this - it was indeed a surprise for him.

But after a bit of time his head turned back and a quiet sigh could be heard from the judge. His head slowly shook before he eventually spoke up.

        Although Ayano was absolutely certain of her love for Senpai, the same could not be said for Taro as well as the other rivals who also battled for his affection. Thus, she wanted to be certain that she could clear the lot of them out and sought out a fortune teller. Though she may not have believed in the whole occult thing herself, it was still worth a shot, wasn't it? Maybe they could provide her with answers and, perhaps, a peek into the future so she could be certain of, at least, the first rival going down. Even that would be enough to ensure her success.         With that, she got on her computer the moment she'd gotten home from school and sought out the nearest, and best one she possibly could. It didn't matter what the cost, she just wanted, no, had to know what her chances were of getting past all of her rivals so that she could be the winner of Taro's heart. Thus, she found the address as well as the name of the person she was looking for, and set off to find a Yasuhiro Hagakure.         It didn't take long before Ayano found the address that was listed online, and headed into the obscure shop as quickly as her feet would allow. Of course, like she had expected in the back of her mind, there was a lot of occult paraphernalia lining the walls, the shop even gave off an odd scent that she couldn't exactly place. Though, that truly didn't matter to her as there was a curtain drawn in the middle, as if to section off the place, or maybe it was to keep people from peeking in to see the onmyoji prematurely. That was her destination, she was sure.

A disturbance in the force has occurred! Sitting on a table in the clinic is a medium-sized bag, various fragrances wafting from from the opening. Inside, several types of potpourri and a note: "I remember hearing from my Madda how old doctors would burn incense to keep the bad smells and spirits away. Lemongrass, lavender and other birthday scents. ~YH"

Happy Birthday Mikan 2022 || Not Accepting

Upon finding the gift, Mikan was hit with a myriad of wonderfully herbal scents. She peeked into the bag and noticed the small bundles of fragrant dried florals and herbs, smiling as she pulled the note out and read it. She hadn't expected a gift from Yasuhiro, but she was more than happy to see he'd thought of her.

"I'll h-have to thank him when I see him next!!" She muttered softly to herself. Mikan lifted one of the small bundles out of the bag and leaned in to breathe in its scent.

On Aoi's desk lies a bracelet. It's simple, not much better than a child can do. Blue rope, pink beads, and a letter attached to it:"Had I my gems, I'd make you something better. But with the way the world is now, this is the best that I can give. Someday, I'll make you something better for spiritual protection. Until then, this will have to do for now. Happy late birthday, Hina-chii! ~Hiro"

Aoi reads the note placed on her school desk as a light blush warmed her cheeks. Even though his gift was simple it was enough for her. It meant a lot to her that he tried to remember and make something that she may like. Aoi slips the bracelet on her left wrist. She’d definitely have to come up with a way to repay him....
