I dont think ive gotta put much more money into it fortunately. A radiator from the parts store is a hundred bucks. One of my coworkers said he’ll bring me an exhaust clamp from home. Running power to the gauges isnt gonna cost anything. Then ill be able to worry about other stuff

John Dory Headcannons!
Tumblr media
★ Glove is a compression glove for an old injury; a major burn scar that lines his fingers, palm, and paw pads on his left hand. (Inspired by @teaOwOstache’s comic – I am currently writing a one-shot for them based on their amazing comic.)
★ Has about an inch of white hair from the sheer power of Crimp’s vacuum. I, personally, believe that the vacuum’s power accelerated the talent-leaching tremendously and caused physical effects to show sooner. (Also shown on Bruce and Clay)
★ Various scars from his years of camping, foraging, cooking, hunting, and other things related to the nomad life.
★ He is the third tallest of his brothers, being almost the same height as Bruce. Second shortest of Brozone.
★ He was left-handed before the burn incident – and had to reteach himself how to write with his right hand instead since his left hand shakes too badly to write properly now. His handwriting, while improved, still isn't as good as it used to be.
★ Has nightmares occasionally like Branch. I like to imagine they bond slightly over that fact once they do get closer – obviously, it's still nothing like Branch’s and Floyd's relationship.
★ Building off the last point, JD tries not to feel too bitter about the close relationship they have. He realizes that the fractured relationships he has with all of his brothers are his own doing. He’s doing his best to get to know them all now and learn about their interests and hobbies. JD still walks on eggshells around them all about 60% of the time after a few more major blow ups between them. He is John Dory, however, so he still crosses lines many times by accident.
★ Thickest and fluffiest tail of Brozone (more of a general HC but, tail hair/fur can move like Troll head hair/fur.)
★ Very active, and regularly takes walks, runs, etc around Pop Village to keep up his fitness.
★ Found Rhonda when he was in his early 20’s and she was a much smaller bug bus. (Inspired by @ohposhers) She grew rather quickly after that and they became inseparable. John Dory handles all of her repairs and anything to do with her healthcare. He becomes very anxious when he has to pass that responsibility to anyone else. Branch took care of an ailing Rhonda once because he was the only one in the village with the needed materials and ingredients for the medicine. (“Who's crazy now? Me. Crazy prepared,) The dull-toned troll basically had to beat John off with a stick to get him to listen/let him help the poor bus, basically like a Helicopter parent. I genuinely believe without her, John Dory would absolutely crumble. Troll dust.
Tumblr media
★ Stay’s in Branch’s bunker the most of the four others, besides Floyd who decided to move to Pop Village. When he’s feeling especially bad or wants to be alone, he will still retreat into Rhonda. She is basically an oversized security blanket.
★ Smells like either dust, fresh dirt, or rain. Definitely smells like something naturey. Branch smells like things similar, but it’s noticeably different.
★ Usually ALWAYS has something stuck in his hair or tail, no matter how small. Dust bunnies from exploring or helping clean, leaves, branches (ha), and other miscellaneous things.
★ Usually has the following in his hair pocket dimension; 2-3 bandaids, an extra glove, chapstick that he always loses, granola bars, and a small thing of water; just in case. Oh, and treats for Rhonda.
Tumblr media
★ Carries an old family photo of his brothers and Grandma Rosiepuff from right after Branch hatched. His parents were also in it, but have long been torn out.
★ His goggles, past and present, were from his father (Also inspired by @teaOwOstache) and so he takes begrudgingly good and meticulous care of them.
★ Definitely a victim of parentification/older sibling syndrome. (I’m not projecting, you are.)
★ The order of brothers he bonds or reconnects with the easiest to hardest; Floyd, Bruce, Clay, Branch.
★ Suffers from aches and pains when it's cold or rainy out. He refuses to admit it is because of age.
★ Self soothes by pulling at his jacket, running his fingers along the zipper teeth, or adjusting his goggles when anxious.
★ If he doesn’t want to make eye contact or is crying or about to, he’ll pull his goggles on. It’s easier to hide than to explain. He gets better about talking about it but emotions are always a sore subject and difficult for him.
★ Like most Trolls, John Dory can hiss, growl, and purr.
★ Dark blue paw pads, with blunt nails with chipped polish.
★ When he went back to the troll tree pod, after mourning what could have been, he collected mementos of his brothers and his grandma; Branch’s old baby blanket, Floyd’s old plushie, Bruce’s old hoodie, One of Clay’s old books and a blacket Rosiepuff knitted long ago. They’re hidden in a box on Rhonda.

Weird HxH Facts you might’ve not noticed before (part 9)
Fact #1: Feitan doesn’t eat food that has already been touched.
Explanation:
For someone whose job in the troupe is to interrogate people through the use of torture, Feitan would never touch someone else’s food.
This is particularly odd for him since he has no problem playing with the bodies of his victims while questioning them but seems to not dare cross the line on eating another person’s meal.
Chapter 398 perfectly demonstrates his refusal to do such a thing.
Tumblr media
Fact #2: Nobunaga hates shellfish.
Explanation:
Never would we have learned that Nobunaga would despise shellfish.
It’s a completely different thing to hate it for personal tastes but the main reason why he’d never eat one would be because he almost got food poisoning because of one.
It’s rather hard to imagine a member of the Phantom Troupe getting poisoned by a shellfish of all things.
He immediately backs down from eating an oyster made by Hinrigh in chapter 398.
Tumblr media
Fact #3: Despite coming from Meteor City, Feitan’s main language isn’t the same as his companions.
Explanation:
Even though Feitan is an original member of the Phantom Troupe, he seems to not have properly learned Japanese while growing up in Meteor City like the rest of them.
*the word “Japanese” in their universe has been altered to something else but we’ll call it “Japanese” since the true word for it hasn’t been revealed to us yet*
It has been shown that instead of speaking in Japanese, Feitan seemed to be most fluent in Chinese. Whenever he’d get angry during a fight, he’d suddenly switch his butchered Japanese and convert it to Chinese, implying that he was letting go of his restrictions to fully express himself.
This shows us that, unlike his companions, his first language is Chinese and his second language is Japanese.
During the Phantom Troupe’s backstory, Feitan has been shown speaking zero times but does look like he perfectly understands what everyone around is saying. We don’t specifically know when or how Feitan learned Chinese at such a young age given the fact that most Meteor City children at the time couldn’t read.
Fact #4: Baise and Ivlenkov get killed by a sentient vacuum cleaner.
Explanation:
It is hard to believe that someone could have been killed by a vacuum cleaner no matter if it was a sentient one or not.
And yet, this is exactly what happened to Baise and Ivlenkov in chapter 73 during the Yorknew City arc.
As the two are running away from the auction massacre to warn the others, Ivlenkov gets killed by Shizuku followed by Baise right after.
Tumblr media
Fact #5: Tsubone has a granddaughter even though zoldyck butlers aren’t allowed to have their own families.
Explanation:
A lot of rules need to be respected to become a butler for the zoldycks.
Not only will you have an extremely dangerous life due to serving a family of assassins, but your life will also be monitored and controlled by the same family you chose to attend to.
Since the butlers should be completely devoted to their masters, this means they are strictly forbidden to have a partner and/or children.
If you happen to be a zoldyck butler and have been discovered to have broken this distinct rule, you’ll either get killed or punished severely. A good example of this would be in chapter 322 when a butler named Kasuga had been caught having a lover which made Illumi give her to Nanika so that she would become another one of its victims.
Tumblr media
This rule however doesn’t seem to apply to Tsubone since Amane reveals in chapter 326 that she is her granddaughter.
Tumblr media
Whether Tsubone adopted Amane or got into a relationship in the past to make her own family is unclear. Even if we assume that Tsubone might have been allowed to have a family so that she could produce more loyal butlers for them, the zoldycks would have still broken one of their own rules for her making her the only exception to this one specific restriction.
Fact #6: Luini learned of the Phantom Troupe thanks to Wikipedia.
Explanation:
The Phantom Troupe is one of the most infamous and dangerous groups in the world.
Even if someone wouldn’t be knowledgeable about their history, they would still have a big idea of who they are as individuals by just hearing their troupe name alone.
Luini, an assassin for the Heil-ly family, chose to learn more about them in the most relatable way possible.
Upon meeting three members of the troupe, Nobunaga, Phinks and Feitan, he exclaims that their capabilities could have been more than enough to slaughter the rich but he must’ve guessed they were more “behaved” than he thought they would be given that he believed a bit too much on what Wikipedia had to say about them.
Tumblr media
The fact that an assassin had to use Wikipedia to learn more details about an already notorious group leaves a lot to the imagination.

Bat Family— Star Trek AU💫.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
"Captain’s log, Stardate 688 09.9:
4 weeks in the big chair and it still takes me an extra second to remember it’s my final orders the bridge waits on. Today, my chatty science officer even told me “careful, Grayson; even a small leak can sink a great ship”. I told the kid I’d make sure to put it in my log so here it is.
It has been only 6 weeks since the so-called “New Gods” attacked the Federation, and the Long Shadows and its brave, young crew are not just grieving the loss of their captain but one of our world’s finest…;a man whom, despite our rocky history, I saw as a brother. Aboard the Federation’s lead emergency and rescue vessel, our crew is, on a daily, reckoning with the fallout of the final crisis in the Alpha Quadrant and the power vacuum left in its wake. Firefighting aside, our crew is also adapting, rather hurriedly, to the musical chairs in both senior and junior staff.
I began my career on the bridge of this fateful ship and somehow I always find my way back to it. It wasn’t long ago that I was a small, cocky, upstart ensign, masking tragedy with a smile. I was just lucky that my captain saw something he liked in me. “I’ll be head monkey before you know it” I used to tell Bruce and, cruelly, that was closer to the truth than I could have imagined. It’s strange how much of an imposter I feel in his chair— my chair now. Just weeks ago, I was commanding the Big Apple, which gives me more pleasure than I can say but…this— this ship is different; Bruce made it his and to take over as their captain? I should know more than anyone; the show must go on. I’ve spent too much time treating this role as a memorial. It’s time to properly redefine the role as my own. Life’s a carnival and it’s time I take the stage.
My first act as captain was appointing Ens. Wayne as my chief science officer; the very role I served under his father when I was an ensign no older than him. This may raise eyebrows but, while I can’t always excuse the kid’s abrasiveness and pride, I want it on record that I have my full confidence in his abilities. Ens. Wayne is a determined and focused officer whose brilliant thinking has already saved dozens of lives. Any sniff of bigotry regarding his Romulan heritage, on and off this ship, will be dealt with directly by me. And Miss Brown. He’s a diamond in the rough but I expect the rest of my seasoned bridge crew to rub off on him. There’s something written in the stars about a captain and their science officer, and there’s no one on this crew as ready as Damian to begin a new chapter in their story; we’re gonna be a hell of a duo.
I have worked closely with Counselor Brown since she returned to The Shadows from service on the medical vessel Katavi. Miss Brown is inspiringly driven. She’s a practiced medic though an unconventional choice for a counselor but I’m sure she’d take that as a compliment. She has a magnetic charm and a gift for connecting with others, and is a savvy diplomat when she remembers to not to think aloud. She was always prone to the odd risk, especially when lives are on the line in the field, though it’s safe to say that she never runs out of ideas. “If I was gonna play by the book, I’d have never left Earth,” she told me recently. Dr. Pennyworth claims she reminds him of…well, me but I don’t know, I don’t really see it. Perhaps the lines between bravery and recklessness are blurrier than I thought, and maybe every starship needs medics and counselors with Miss Brown’s unyielding dedication to the wellbeing of others.
It’s been a… a pleasure to serve alongside Cmdr. Gordon again, after almost 2 years. Sometimes it is…a lot to share a bridge with someone who’s known you so inti— known you for so long. Especially when tensions are high. Nonetheless, there is no one on this ship I trust more to set me straight if need be. In fact, there may be no one on this ship I trust more. This ship would have never left its dock if we didn’t have Cmdr. Gordon in charge of operations. Barbara’s truly the ship’s 411— if there were two of her, I’d opt to retire the ship’s computer. She’s a born leader; also responsible for the appointment of half of my senior bridge staff and she comfortably takes the big chair when required. We’ve always made a great team, which will mean a few clashes and compromises too. To whoever it may concern, we’ll keep things professional this time, I promise…
Lt. Cmdr. Bertinelli is a stellar security chief and it’s in these uncertain times that her very own Atlas of Organised Crime is consulted significantly, on and off this ship. I’ll admit that the two of us haven’t had the smoothest of working— or personal— relationships in the past but “the past” is all it is. I’m happy to call Helena one of my greatest allies— and friends. It’s been lovely to see someone so solitary find a family on board this ship. I may not always see eye-to-eye with Cmdr. Bertinelli but I have no qualms in saying that she would be a captain by now if Star Fleet tribunal and their rulings against her weren’t riddled with rigid hierarchies and double standards.
My 1st Officer, Lt. Cmdr. Kane, certainly knows how to run a tight ship. She has made it clear that she thinks mine lacks a little discipline and caution. Her security background really shows and we definitely have different styles in leadership but hopefully the Shadows can get the best out of both worlds. In her words; “this ship is facing a different breed of threat and disaster every day, so it needs a different breed of crew”. She’s happy to take the bridge when an away team is needed so she’s probably spent more time in the captain’s chair than I have by now.
Lt. Cmdr. Montoya was an instrumental player in Star Fleet’s response to the final crisis and she is determined to honour the memory of the late Mr. Sage, whose post she has assumed. She’s a veteran investigator who’s quickly learning the ropes to service aboard a starship and she already sets a high bar on scouting and espionage assignments. Cmdr.s Kane, Montoya and Bertinelli, form a simply excellent criminal investigation team, although I won’t pretend to understand their more personal relationships with each other.
Doctor Pennyworth, as he was before, has been my rock. He’s the heart of this ship, and he does a solid job at keeping its crew alive and well. The Shadows just isn’t the Shadows without him.
It’s no secret how hard Lt. Drake is taking Capt. Wayne’s passing— his regular counselling sessions with Miss Brown too often end in a screaming match in the hallway. For the record, I stand by my decision to give Mr. Drake’s bridge posting to Ens. Wayne and put Mr. Drake in charge of engineering. The Ensign is a real prodigy and needs this show of good faith while Mr. Drake, who has been a brilliant science officer to Capt. Wayne for almost 4 years, deserved the chance to step out of his old captain’s shadow. Nonetheless, our relationship has soured since I, in his words, “kicked him off my bridge” but that is not to say I don’t have the utmost faith in his performance as our new chief engineer.
Lt. Cain has been distant…let me rephrase that— Lt. Cain has been taken to self-isolating since the captain’s passing. Counselor Brown says sometimes she’ll go almost an entire counseling session without saying a word. Funny enough, when I suggested joint sessions with Mr. Drake, the counselor told me to get out of her office. Babs— Cmdr. Gordon, sorry, insists Miss Cain will come around in time; she knows she is among dear friends. She continues to be reliable and cool under pressure at the ship’s helm, adept at assignments in zero-G, and a clinical melee fighter when it’s called for. Yesterday, I suggested that she also head combat training down at security and she smiled, so maybe she will take up that offer.
On a ship so aptly named, it’s hard to forget that old sins cast long shadows. We now reckon with both old foes and threats unforeseen, which place the now vulnerable Federation in jeopardy and expose the cracks in its facade. It’s almost as if the ship herself questions how well we learn from history, and how history will remember us."

Bed Rest (Seven) for the WIP ask game, please. Also, if you want to talk about the other Bed Rest fics, too.
Seven's installment literally consist of only this handful of sentences so far:
“I understand that your xB physiology renders you much more resilient than humans, and I’m willing to give you a lot of leeway, but I draw the line at exposure to hard vacuum. You’re coming to sickbay with me right now.” Seven arched her eyebrow and drew a rasping breath. “Deactivate —” “No,” Emil said calmly. “You’re on medical lockout from all computer systems and will remain so until I give you a clean bill of health. Now, will you come downstairs voluntarily? Or will I have to ask Ms Musiker to drag you?”
I do like it quite a bit :D But haven't managed to do all the writing that needs to go around it yet.
As for the other Bed Rest fics... When I started writing them, it was just Soji, then I had an idea for Raffi, then Ian, Rios... and eventually, it settled in my brain as "one day, this series will have a story of Emil telling people to lie the fuck down already for every major and a whole lot of minor characters from Star Trek: La Sirena" 😅
We'll see how far I get. The one I wrote for Picard doesn't actually fit the description as well as I'd like it to, and I should probably just post it as a short slice of life standalone (it's basically done and I find it pretty funny, if I say so myself).
And the Agnes WIP that is still technically labelled "bed rest" also veered into a different direction (much more emotional angst and post-Borg-trauma, less the sickfic vibe I'm going for with the rest of the series). So I might turn that into a standalone at some point, though it would involve having to acknowledge season 2 happenings, even in a strongly altered form...
BUT! A while ago, @regionalpancake pointed out that probably a bunch of OC stories in my "never to be pulished" folder would only need very minor rewrites to work for Agnes (and for readers who haven't spent the last four years in my brain and thus don't know the reams and reams of intricate worldbuilding that underly the Private Stories). And I think that assessment is very accurate for the fic currently titled "Check up", which also has some holo bits in it that I just... adore so much! And want to share with the world! Like...
Emil nodded. “Your fever has gone up in the last few hours.” Her eyes went wide. “I thought the meds would help with that?” The EMH tilted his head and his expression turned slightly admonishing. “They are helping. They’re supporting your body’s immune system in fighting off the virus. Which inevitably involves a certain level of fever.” He lowered his scanner and frowned. “Honestly, you’re nearly as bad as the captain with his impatience. Healing takes time. The human body isn’t a machine where you can replace a broken part and everything just runs smoothly again straight away.” “Well now.” Over at the table, Ian leaned back in his chair and tucked his hands under his arms. “A repair is rarely done with a simple replacement. There’s always adjustments that need to happen afterwards and usually a lot of recalibration to —” “Yes, thank you Ian,” Emil said curtly without turning around, “I was speaking metaphorically.” “I’m just saying that if you want the repair done properly, you can’t just shove a new part in place and call it a day. There are a lot of protocols and follow-ups that need to happen.” “Actually, that makes the metaphor better, don’t you think?” Enoch mused. “Even with a machine, repairs take time and don’t lead to instantaneous improvement.” Ian leaned towards the ENH. “Yes, but he said the human body wasn’t like a machine, so he got the metaphor exactly backwards.” Emil rolled his eyes as the two holograms at the table started to argue over whether an accidentally good metaphor was still good if it was deployed incorrectly. Behind them, Emmet was leisurely swapping cards from his hand for better ones from the discard pile.
So that one is probably gonna be Agnes's installment (eventually).
Beyond that, who knows? There are still a few crew members (organic, cybernetic, and holographic) that need to have a moment with their snarky ship's physician! And one of these days, I will finally get over myself and edit the two paragraphs that have thus far kept me from posting Rios's part of the series 😅
I really enjoy the bed rest stories, though. I will never get enough of Emil being an exasperated, snarky, but ultimately really kind and competent doctor! And since there aren't as many stories of that out there in the wild as I'd like, I guess I'll just have to keep writing them myself XD
---
(I'm still very happy to answer questions or post snippets of the many things in my WIP folder :D Here's the original list of titles if you want to see what's available!

Pep / KDB
NSFW-ish but nothing to warn for, just the world fuck really. NSFW in a church. Infidelity. Is Pep/KDB it’s own warning? Am I a warning?
Gretna Green
Not set last year? Set a couple of years ago. I literally haven’t even read this through. Spelling is an evil, but is it a necessary one?
It’s another Thursday. Even If they had set alarms they would have slept through them. Their phones on the coffee table, the screens flicking on and off. It’s nearly stopped raining. Spring is almost over, summer hasn’t quite started.
He’d like to blame drinking he’d like to pretend it was in the aftermath of a victory, that he was overcome.
On the chair next to Kevin’s bed, this temporary place, they have layered trousers and socks and underwear. Pep’s hands are efficient, and Kevin’s are practised at stripping clothes off in the dark. The sleeve of Kevin’s sweater is lying across the waistband of Pep’s jeans. Last night they twisted together. Pep hasn’t slept-in for years.
He wakes up first. The insistent nag of water has finally become impossible to incorporate into his dream. The window is cracked open and Pep watches the drops that hit the window ledge. He watches the carpet under the window slowly get darker with water. Someone else will clean it up eventually. The paint chipped at the corner. Careless streaks from a half assed cleaning service.
Kevin’s behind him and he shifts slightly, aligns their bodies more completely, even his elbow feels hot against Pep’s ribcage.
Pep holds his breath; he’s not ready for it to be over. For last night to melt away, evaporate off his skin like rainwater on concrete. Wants it to be cars he can hear passing by.
Soon Kevin is going to grab for his watch or look up and squint at the window. He’s going to realise that they could have nearly slept in. It’s not that either of them has anywhere to be, so much as there is somewhere they should not be. Here, together, it’s not Pep’s bed. He is the one who should have slunk away last night.
Kevin is going to wake up, is going to recognise the body under his arm.
“This is not a punishment.” Pep had said. Kevin on top of him, half wild, with glittering eyes and guilt. Under-prepared and stubborn.
Two weeks ago they accidentally ran away to Scotland. There isn’t any reason they couldn’t. Kevin’s latest meeting with the lawyer. The therapist. The family counsellor. The dangled chance of reconciliation.
Six hours of traffic barely speaking. Falling into a bed booked online.
Sleeping apart in the small bed. Small high windows with curtains they hadn’t closed properly. Small desk, small tv. Kevin rolling over away from the telephone. Half assed job vacuuming. Small towels in the bathroom. Kevin barely fitting under the shower head. Too awake. The line of his back too rigid, flotsam adrift. They didn’t fuck that night. They didn’t that morning. Barely touched. The points of their elbows, the bend of their knees. Pinned to the edges of the bed, a valley of sheets between them.
Pep had run his hand down the hard line of Kevin’s back. “Come have breakfast.” He said. They walked to the tourist part of town. Under baseball caps and blue surgical masks. Toothbrushes from Spar left in the bin. They won’t stay another night.
From 7.14 when Pep sent a text to his wife, Kevin buried in the steam of the shower, until Midnight, Kevin slipping out of the car without saying goodbye, they were tourists and lovers.
Eating breakfast with fresh juice and eggs. They walked slowly and Pep was not his boss. Kevin was not his player. The short holiday that Kevin would take with his family undiscussed. Pep’s family phantoms. Their jobs a ghost. They would probably reconcile. You can feel like a single parent married to a football player or a football manager. But maybe better to have him there than to admit something was wrong.
Pep’s phone twisted in his pocket. They both politely looked away from calls that could not go unanswered. Consumed with the quality of the scarves that fell out in piles of every open shop door, not the hushed conversations.
They didn’t stand out in the crowd’s meandering up the Royal mile. They kissed twice, they touched more. Hand draped over arm, fingers on a shoulder pointing something out. Backs turned for the whisper of privacy.
But now, two weeks later, Pep wants to roll over and kiss Kevin awake. He wants to know he could slip back into the bed, pressing his hands - warm from holding two cups of tea - against Kevin’s ribs while Kevin groped across the bedside table for his own drink.
Wants to kiss without brushing their teeth. Without tasting alcohol or even a victory. Pep wants to turn over and nudge his knee between Kevin’s. Wants to rock Kevin awake like he fucked him asleep.
Pep wants to say: that’s just traffic, that’s just the tv. Your wife is waiting for you to call her and will believe your lie this time. Let’s kiss. The battery on your phone is dead, there is no where to be and nothing to do except for you to tell me what you dreamed of.
Instead he shrugs out from under Kevin’s arm over his waist and feels the morning-rainy air strip away the touch of Kevin’s warmth. He lets the hallway pull the pressure of Kevin’s fingerprints off his shoulders and tugs on a sweater when he reaches the kitchen. It’s Kevin’s, thrown over the back of another chair.
Messy bachelor pad. She will take him back. A few weeks Time enough make her point. To stop doing it. To get better at hiding it.
It’s not even that it is particularly cold, standing shifting from foot to foot waiting for the kettle to boil. But in comparison it’s winter. Kevin too hot, right from his bones that feel too close to the surface of his skin. He curls in too close, too near, and he has always pulled away too quickly when he realises.
It wouldn’t be traffic he heard, this high up. It might have been rain that Pep heard, that woke him up. But he always wakes up early. In his life he’s that man who shrugs out of bed early to beat the kids and his wife up. Who makes appointments that start early in the day.
It’s Wednesday, or Friday, or Sunday. It’s morning, it’s raining probably pouring, it’s not cold enough for sweaters, or tea, or curling together in bed, the old man is snoring, and the water is boiling. Hot clear tears jump out of the spout of the kettle and dance on the hood of the oven like the rain on the roof five stories above them.
It’s morning, and Pep briefly pretends to hear the traffic through the open kitchen window, even from an apartment this high up. Even though it’s too early for the morning rush. He leaves Kevin’s sweater folded neatly in the couch. Grabs his phone, it’s morning and he has meetings.

You told me about your family so it’s only fair I tell you about mine!!!
The Flash is tall and muscular but always comes off small when he’s next to people like Superman or Wonder Woman on the rare occasions we’re allowed at the Hall of Justice-And only ever in the library or gym! For shame! He’s very handsome tho, his hair is that darker strawberry blonde you don’t see very often in either reality. He’s also very kind and surprisingly funny! He gets points just for tolerating us!!! He really deserves them.
Speedsters are always SO warm, it has something to do with their body’s metabolism? Their hearts are super fast too like hummingbirds even when they’re asleep! They go through shoes like most people go through paper napkins! Constant repairing for shoes. Sometimes they get so excited they start vibrating!!! Sometimes when they’re scared or anxious they vibrate and can’t stop until they calm down which usually means handing them something to ground themselves.
Kid Flash is really funny too!!! His favorite joke is answering calls while vibrating his vocal cords so it sounds like he’s talking into a fan. He’s combined it with helium before and it’s HILARIOUS! I don’t know for sure if he really knows Nightwing but Nightwing isn’t really a commonly known superhero so much as a benevolent local cryptid people leave little thank you letters or candy out for, so I’ll take his word for it! He flirts with any girl in a hundred miles who even looks at him but is more picky with boys. I think he fears rejection there more than he does with girls, which I can’t blame him for… He’s not very good at phasing yet and keeps running directly into walls because of it-We try very hard not to laugh because he doesn’t think it’s funny.
They’re both surprisingly friendly with some of the rogues-The Flash says that allowing the more reasonable, predictable criminals to keep the others in line is better than letting a power vacuum happen since that would just get violent faster than they can clean up. He has conditions on that but we’re not supposed to mess with them too much. Sometimes a call is just a newly developed meta who’s scared and doesn’t know what’s going on so they always try to give people the benefit of the doubt.
We’ve never met any of the Bat family but the Flash says they’re probably vampires or something. I can never tell if he’s joking or it’s a real theory of his. None of us have been to Gotham aside from the Flash-KF has been to its sister city though!-so I can’t say I have any evidence to the contrary or for it.
Kid Flash is friends with a red head I’m yet to properly meet and a tall blond girl who KF flirts with a lot. She doesn’t seem to find it funny but never asks him to stop so I guess it’s complicated there. He’s a more senior hero than I am so he gets to know more than I do which I’m totally okay with!!! Im content to heal and mend for now!
Sorry for the long ask! ❤️⚡️
*me noting all this down ✍️*
Thank you for all this useful information! I love hearing about your DR :)
Also, Flash, I am offended. We are NOT vampires (maybe) /j

Say Goodbye To Clogged Drains This Summer
Tumblr media
Pipe Cleaning
Summer is a good time of the year to take care of your pipe cleaning needs. Letting blocked drains fester can lead to disastrous results; toilet overflows, water damage to your walls and even flooding. Taking the time to properly inspect and maintain your pipes can save you a lot of money in the long run. Start by making sure that the pipes in your home are thoroughly cleaned and vacuumed out from time to time. This will help prevent sediment buildup, which can lead to clogged drains.
Another way to keep your pipes clean is to use a preventive solution. If you live in a home where your pipes are subjected to a high amount of sediment, then a preventive solution like a highly concentrated citric acid mixture can help keep your pipes free from build-up. The citric acid solution should be applied periodically to help maintain the cleanliness of your pipes.
Plumbing Maintenance
In addition to pipe cleaning and preventive solutions, you should also be sure to perform regular maintenance on your home's plumbing system. This can include checking for leaky joints, testing the water pressure and inspecting the drain lines.
Checking for leaky joints should be done on a regular basis. Even if you don't see any signs of a leak, you should at least check for small spots or streaks because these can indicate a weak seal in your plumbing system.
Testing the water pressure in your home can help you identify any problems in the plumbing system. Low water pressure can be a sign that there is something clogging up the system. You can use a pressure gauge to check the pressure and if it's low, then you may need to have the pipes inspected or contact a licensed plumber.
Inspecting the drain lines is also important. You should check the bathtubs and showers at least once a month to ensure that the drain pipes are clear. A plunger or a plumbing snake might also be necessary to help clear out any clogs that have built up in the pipes.
Blocked Drains
One of the most common plumbing problems that arise during the summer months is blocked drains. If a clog is present in the drain line, the first thing to do is to try to clear the clog yourself with a plunger. If this doesn't work, then you should call a plumber to help you clear the clog.
If the clog is present in the main drain line, you may need to contact a professional plumber to take care of the issue. In some cases, professional drain cleaning services are necessary in order to keep the problem from coming back again.
If you notice any signs of a clogged drain such as bad odors, slow drainage, gurgling sounds, or standing water in the sink then you should take steps to clear the clog as quickly as possible before it causes further damage.
Say goodbye to clogged drains this summer by taking the time to properly maintain your pipes and drains. Regular pipe cleaning and preventive solutions can help keep your pipes and drains functioning properly. Additionally, getting your drains checked periodically can help diagnose any potential problems before they become bigger issues. Don't wait too long to address any blockages or clogged drains, as they can cause costly damage to your home.

Pool Cleaning Abu Dhabi: Tips to Keep Your Pool Crystal Clear
Having a swimming pool in Abu Dhabi is a luxury that comes with a lot of perks—cool dips during scorching summers, a relaxing spot for family gatherings, or even a picturesque backdrop for your home. But let’s face it: keeping your pool water crystal clear and safe isn’t as effortless as it looks. Regular maintenance is key, and for those who want the ultimate hassle-free experience, relying on the best pool cleaning Abu Dhabi services can make all the difference.
If you prefer to handle the cleaning yourself or want to understand how professionals achieve sparkling results, here are some essential tips to maintain a pristine pool.
1. Skim and Remove Debris Daily
One of the simplest ways to keep your pool clean is by skimming the surface every day. Falling leaves, insects, and dust can quickly accumulate, especially in Abu Dhabi’s windy and sandy environment. Letting debris sit too long can clog your filters or sink to the bottom, making it harder to clean later.
A quick five-minute skim with a net can prevent major cleaning headaches. However, if you’re dealing with constant debris or don’t have the time, hiring the best pool cleaning Abu Dhabi professionals ensures that this task is handled for you regularly.
2. Brush and Vacuum the Pool
Even if the water looks clear, dirt and grime can cling to your pool walls, floor, and steps. Over time, this buildup can lead to stains and algae growth. Brushing the walls and vacuuming the bottom at least once a week can help prevent this.
For large pools or pools with stubborn algae, the best pool cleaning Abu Dhabi services use advanced tools like robotic pool vacuums and specialized brushes to ensure no spot is missed. They’ll leave your pool looking flawless with minimal effort on your part.
3. Maintain Proper Chemical Levels
Chemical balance is critical for keeping your pool water clear and safe for swimming. Too much chlorine can irritate your skin and eyes, while too little can allow bacteria and algae to thrive. The key is to regularly test and adjust your pool’s pH, chlorine, and alkalinity levels.
The ideal pH level should range between 7.2 and 7.8. You can use test kits available in stores or, better yet, rely on the best pool cleaning Abu Dhabi experts to handle the balancing act for you. Professionals can also provide advanced water testing to spot any hidden chemical imbalances.
4. Keep Your Filters Clean
Your pool’s filtration system works tirelessly to remove dirt and particles from the water. But when the filters become clogged, they can’t do their job properly. Make sure to clean the filter basket weekly and backwash the system as needed to maintain optimal performance.
If you’re unsure about filter maintenance, many of the best pool cleaning Abu Dhabi companies offer specialized filter cleaning as part of their routine services. This keeps your system running efficiently and prevents costly repairs down the line.
5. Shock Your Pool When Needed
Even with regular maintenance, there are times when your pool water may look dull or cloudy, especially after heavy use or a sandstorm. Shocking the pool—adding a concentrated dose of chlorine—can eliminate contaminants and restore water clarity.
You don’t need to shock your pool every week, but doing so once a month or after a big gathering can make a huge difference. If you’re not confident about how to do this, let the best pool cleaning Abu Dhabi specialists handle it for you. They’ll know exactly when and how to perform this treatment.

Indoor Dryer Vent Maintenance Tips to Improve Efficiency and Safety
Tumblr media
Proper maintenance of indoor dryer vents is essential to ensure optimal performance, prevent hazards, and extend the lifespan of your dryer. Neglecting this critical task can lead to inefficiency, increased energy costs, and even potential safety risks like fires. Here’s a comprehensive guide to maintaining your indoor dryer vent effectively.
Why Is Indoor Dryer Vent Maintenance Important?
Preventing Fire Hazards
Clogged dryer vents are a leading cause of household fires. Regular maintenance helps minimize the buildup of lint, a flammable material that can ignite under high temperatures.
Enhancing Dryer Efficiency
A clean vent allows hot air and moisture to exit freely, reducing drying times and saving energy.
Improving Air Quality
Properly maintained vents reduce the amount of lint and moisture released into the indoor environment, helping to maintain better air quality.
Extending Dryer Lifespan
By reducing strain on your dryer’s components, regular vent cleaning can help your appliance last longer.
Signs Your Indoor Dryer Vent Needs Maintenance
Longer Drying Times
If your clothes take longer to dry, it may be a sign of a clogged vent restricting airflow.
Overheating Dryer
An overly hot dryer can indicate that hot air is trapped due to a blocked vent.
Increased Lint
Excess lint around the dryer or in the laundry area suggests the vent may not be functioning properly.
Musty Odors
Moisture buildup in the vent can cause unpleasant odors in your laundry room or clothes.
Essential Tools for Maintaining Indoor Dryer Vents
Lint Brush
A long-handled lint brush is perfect for removing lint from vent ducts.
Vacuum Cleaner
A vacuum with a hose attachment can help suck out debris from the vent and surrounding areas.
Screwdriver
Useful for detaching the vent cover or hose during deep cleaning.
Bucket and Water
For vents that use water traps, a bucket and clean water are essential for regular maintenance.
Step-by-Step Maintenance Guide
1. Clean the Lint Trap After Every Use
Why It Matters: The lint trap is the first line of defense against lint entering the vent system.
How to Do It: Remove the lint screen, clear off the lint, and rinse it with water monthly to remove residue.
2. Inspect the Vent Box Weekly
Why It Matters: Vent boxes collect lint and moisture, and ignoring them can lead to blockages.
How to Do It: Open the vent box, remove accumulated lint, and clean it with a damp cloth.
3. Deep Clean the Vent Hose Monthly
Why It Matters: The vent hose is prone to lint buildup, reducing airflow and efficiency.
How to Do It:
Disconnect the hose from the dryer and vent box.
Use a lint brush or vacuum to clean the interior.
Check for any cracks or damage and replace the hose if necessary.
4. Empty and Refill Water Reservoirs Frequently
Why It Matters: Some indoor vent systems use water traps to capture lint and moisture, and stagnant water can lead to mold or odor.
How to Do It: Empty the reservoir, rinse it thoroughly, and refill it with clean water after every 1-2 dryer loads.
5. Perform a Quarterly System Inspection
Why It Matters: Regular inspections ensure the entire system is functioning efficiently.
How to Do It:
Check all connections for leaks or loose fittings.
Inspect the vent box and hose for wear and tear.
Replace any worn-out components immediately.
Tips for Improving Indoor Dryer Vent Safety
Use Heat-Resistant Materials
Ensure your vent hose is made of durable, heat-resistant materials like aluminum or metal to minimize fire risks.
Avoid Overloading the Dryer
Overloading can produce excess lint and put additional strain on the venting system.
Keep the Area Around the Dryer Clean
Ensure the space around the dryer is free from clutter, especially flammable items like paper or fabric.
Test the Vent’s Airflow
Place your hand near the vent’s exhaust while the dryer is running. Weak airflow may indicate a blockage that needs immediate attention.
Install a Smoke Detector
For added safety, place a smoke detector near your laundry area to alert you to potential fire risks.
Common Mistakes to Avoid
Ignoring Small Repairs
Minor cracks or loose connections can lead to bigger issues over time. Address these promptly.
Using Incompatible Vent Systems
Ensure the vent system matches your dryer’s specifications to avoid inefficiencies or hazards.
Skipping Routine Maintenance
Neglecting regular cleaning can result in costly repairs and increased safety risks.
When to Call a Professional
While most maintenance tasks can be performed by homeowners, there are instances where professional help may be necessary:
Persistent airflow issues despite regular cleaning.
Visible damage to the vent system that requires replacement.
Unusual odors or excessive noise from the dryer.
Conclusion
Maintaining your indoor dryer vent is vital for safety, efficiency, and prolonging the life of your appliance. By following these maintenance tips, you can ensure your dryer operates smoothly while keeping your home safe. Regular cleaning, inspections, and safe practices will go a long way in preventing potential issues and maximizing the performance of your indoor dryer vent system.

Key Services You Need for a Fully Functioning Pool
Hurricanes can leave behind destruction in their wake, and if you’re lucky enough to have a pool, the damage may be more extensive than you expect. From debris and sediment clouding your pool water to critical equipment failures, restoring your pool after a storm requires specialized services. In this article, we’ll discuss the essential pool services that can help you get your backyard oasis back in shape—focusing on pool cleaning services, pool filter cleaning, swimming pool repairs, pool pump repairs, and how to address HVAC and pool heat pump destruction after a hurricane.
Tumblr media
1. Pool Cleaning Service: First Line of Defense Against Hurricane Damage
Once the storm has passed, the first thing that needs attention is the cleanliness of your pool. Hurricanes often bring heavy winds, rain, and debris, which can severely affect the cleanliness of your pool. A professional pool cleaning service should be your first step in the restoration process. Here’s why:
Debris Removal: In addition to leaves and twigs, pools may accumulate larger debris such as branches, rocks, and even pieces of your pool fencing or patio furniture. Pool cleaning services have specialized equipment to quickly and effectively remove all debris.
Water Vacuuming: Once debris is cleared, a pool vacuum is used to clean the bottom of the pool and walls, ensuring no dirt or sediment remains trapped in the pool surface.
Surface Skimming: The pool surface is skimmed to remove any floating leaves or contaminants, making the water look clearer and more inviting.
Chemical Adjustment: Hurricanes can dramatically alter the chemical balance of your pool water due to increased debris, rainwater, and debris in the pool. Professionals will test and adjust the pool water’s pH, chlorine, and alkalinity levels to bring the water back to safe, balanced conditions.
A thorough cleaning sets the foundation for any repairs and ensures your pool is ready for further restoration.
2. Pool Filter Cleaner: Restoring the Heart of Your Pool’s Circulation System
The pool filter is crucial for keeping your water clean and free from debris. However, after a hurricane, the filter can get clogged with storm debris, resulting in reduced water circulation and filtration. A professional pool filter cleaner will ensure that your filtration system is up and running properly. Key steps in this service include:
Inspection and Cleaning: Professionals inspect your pool filter for any visible damage or clogging. After this, they perform a thorough cleaning, including backwashing (for sand filters) or soaking and rinsing (for cartridge filters).
Filter Media Replacement: If the filter media (sand, DE, or cartridges) is excessively dirty or damaged, it may need to be replaced. This ensures optimal filtration efficiency and clear pool water.
Addressing Damaged Components: If the filter housing, valves, or plumbing is compromised due to the hurricane, repairs or replacements will be carried out to restore full functionality.
A well-maintained pool filter will help keep your pool clean and clear in the aftermath of the storm, and it prevents further strain on other equipment.
3. Swimming Pool Repair Service: Repairing Structural and Cosmetic Damage
Hurricanes can take a toll on the structure and cosmetic features of your pool. Cracks, leaks, damaged liners, or missing tiles may require attention. A swimming pool repair service will identify and fix any damage caused by the storm, which could include:
Crack Repairs: Pools, especially concrete or gunite pools, can crack under the pressure of floodwaters or shifting ground. Repair services will seal these cracks to prevent water leaks and protect the structural integrity of your pool.
Tile Replacement: If tiles are cracked or dislodged during the storm, pool repair experts will replace or reattach the damaged tiles. This helps to preserve the pool’s visual appeal and ensures that tiles around the pool are secure.
Resurfacing: For pools with damaged plaster or surfaces, resurfacing may be needed. This process ensures a smooth and attractive finish, while also helping to prevent water leakage.
Liner Repairs or Replacement: Vinyl pools can suffer from tears or stretching caused by high winds or debris. Repair services can either patch small holes or replace the liner entirely if necessary.
These repairs are essential to ensuring your pool is safe, functional, and beautiful, allowing you to enjoy your pool for years to come.
4. Pool Pump Repair: Restoring Essential Pool Circulation
A pool pump is a critical piece of equipment responsible for circulating water through the pool and filter system. Hurricanes can cause significant damage to pool pumps through power surges, debris impact, or flooding. Here's how pool pump repair services can help:
Motor Inspection and Repair: Power surges or water damage from a hurricane can burn out or damage the motor. A pool technician will assess the motor’s condition and either repair or replace it.
Pump Leaks: Hurricanes can loosen or damage connections, leading to pump leaks. Pool pump repair services will check all seals and connections, replacing any damaged parts.
Debris Blockages: After a storm, debris can clog the pump’s intake or discharge lines, affecting circulation. The repair service will clear these blockages to restore efficient pump function.
By restoring the pool pump to working order, you ensure that water continues to circulate, helping to maintain water clarity and balance.
5. HVAC and Pool Heat Pump Damage: Repairing Climate Control Systems
Many pools are equipped with heating systems, such as pool heat pumps or HVAC units for poolside areas. These systems can be heavily damaged during a hurricane due to wind, flooding, or electrical issues. Here's what you need to know about repairing your HVAC and pool heat pump:
HVAC System Damage: If you have a poolside HVAC unit that controls the temperature of your outdoor living space, it can suffer from water exposure, debris impact, or electrical faults. A technician will inspect the system for signs of damage and perform repairs or replacements.
Pool Heat Pump Failure: A pool heat pump is typically located outside and can be vulnerable to storm damage. Common issues include damaged fan blades, waterlogged components, or electrical failures. A pool heat pump technician will assess the damage and determine whether repairs or a full replacement is necessary.
Electrical and Wiring Issues: Hurricanes often cause power surges, which can damage the electrical components of your HVAC and pool heat pump. Repair services will check the wiring and connections to ensure they’re safe and functional.
Restoring your HVAC and pool heating systems will bring back the comfort and luxury of a heated pool or poolside area, especially after the storm’s chaos.
6. The Importance of Professional Pool Services After a Hurricane
While DIY fixes may seem tempting, hiring professional pool services is crucial when recovering from a hurricane. Here’s why:
Expert Knowledge: Pool professionals have the experience to accurately assess the damage and perform repairs safely and efficiently.
Proper Equipment: Specialized tools and equipment are required to perform pool cleaning, repair, and maintenance tasks—tools you may not have at your disposal.
Avoiding Further Damage: Mistakes made during pool repairs or maintenance can lead to more significant issues down the line, resulting in higher costs.
Insurance Claims: Pool service professionals can often assist with insurance claims by documenting the damage and providing detailed reports, which could help you recover costs.
Conclusion
Restoring your pool after a hurricane involves more than just cleaning up the water. Professional services such as pool cleaning, pool filter maintenance, swimming pool repairs, and pump repairs are necessary to ensure that your pool is safe and fully functional. Additionally, HVAC and pool heat pump repairs may be essential if these systems were damaged in the storm. Hiring a professional service not only saves you time but also ensures that the repairs are done correctly, allowing you to enjoy your pool as quickly and safely as possible after the storm.

The Ultimate Guide to Addressing Unclog Drain Aliso Viejo
Blocked drains are sometimes brought about by inconvenience and frustration for no known reason. Many people in Aliso Viejo experience this same issue, where they get blocked by the accumulation of grease, tree root invasion, among others. The effective management of your clogged drain, then, will mean returning your drain to functionality and also preventing possible long-run damage to your plumbing system. If you’re searching for ways to handle unclog drain Aliso Viejo, this guide will provide actionable solutions and expert advice tailored to the area
Tumblr media
What Leads to Aliso Viejo Drain Clogs?
The first step in preventing and fixing drain clogs is understanding what causes them. The most frequent offenders are as follows:
1. Kitchen Drain Blockages
Food scraps, grease, and oil find their way into kitchen sinks. These substances harden over time and stick to pipe walls, causing blockages.
2. Bathroom Drain Issues
Hair, soap scum, and toothpaste are all common culprits when it comes to bathroom drains. These materials can clot into big balls, stopping water flow.
3. Outdoor Drain Risks
Leaves, soil, and tree roots can find their way through outdoor drains and into sewer lines, causing massive clogs that need professionals.
4. Mineral Buildups
The hard water in Aliso Viejo affects pipes, narrowing them as time goes by, and in the end, will reduce water flow.
5. Incorrect Waste Disposal
Flushing nonbiodegradable things such as diapers, wipes, or sanitary pads can cause extremely severe clogs fast.
Signs of a Blocked Drain
An early sign of a blocked drain is something that could save you so much time and money. Therefore, do not fail to look out for the following signs:
Slow Drainage: A partial obstruction is indicated by water puddles in sinks or bathtubs.
unpleasant Odors: If any of your drains continue to smell unpleasant, it’s likely a sign of trapped debris.
Recurring Clogs: In case the drain clogs repeatedly, then the obstruction may be far more serious.
Gurgling Sounds: Air pockets that are trapped by blockages can cause strange noises in your plumbing.
Water Backflow: This is when water flows back into sinks or showers because of a severe clog.
Effective DIY Methods to Unclog Drains
Some minor blockages can be tackled before one tries to call a professional. These include;
1. Boiling Water Flush
Pour hot water through the drain to break and dissolve grease to loosen the blockage in your pipes. Use this technique with a two-to-three repetitions yield.
2. Baking Solution with Soda and Vinegar
One cup vinegar and one cup baking soda should be poured down the drain. Rinse with hot water after fizzing for 15 minutes.
3. Plunging
A plunger is able to dislodge blockages through suction. The plunger must seal well over the drain to work properly.
4. Snake Drain
Clogs can be physically removed with an auger, sometimes known as a drain snake. Especially for hair and other hard-to-remove obstacles, this tool works wonders.
5. Vacuum, Wet/Dry
Try sucking out the blockage by setting the vacuum to liquid mode. Solid impediments close to the drain opening respond well to this technique.
Professional Drain Cleaning Solutions
Minor clogs may be resolved using DIY techniques. However, when it comes to serious or repeated clogging problems, a professional solution is needed. Here is what the professionals can do for you:
1. The use of hydro jetting
Grease, mineral accumulation, and other blockages are removed from the inside of the pipes by high-pressure water.
2. Camera Inspections
The professional will inspect pipes with cameras to know exactly where the clogging problem lies and why.
3. Root Elimination
Professionals will be able to remove tree roots from entering your sewer lines without causing any harm to your pipes.
4. Thorough Drain Cleaning
Professional services, unlike the do-it-yourself kind of fix, treat the root cause of the problem and prevent future blockages from happening.
Why Blocked Drains Must Not Be Left Unattended
Ignoring a clogged drain leads to worse troubles, including the following:
1. Water Damage
Water coming out of the clogged drains would seep through walls and floors, damaging their structures and making them susceptible to mold.
2. Costlier Repairs
What might initially be a slight clog will become an intense problem requiring very expensive repairs or the replacing of pipes.
3. Health Hazards
Stagnant water and trapped debris become a haven for bacteria that may pose a health risk to your family.
4. Plumbing System Strain
Clogs will strain your plumbing system, making it have a shorter lifespan.
Tips to Ensure No Future Drains Clogging
Precaution is much better than post-cure action. Here, follow these measures to keep drains clear and continue to function right:
1. Use Drain Strainers
Installs strainers in sinks, showers, bathtub, and garbage disposal to avoid hair, foods, and trash from going in the drain.
2. Dispose off Grease
Instead of tossing grease down the sink, let it become cool and trash it.
3. Flush Sinks Regularly
Pour hot water or a baking soda and vinegar mixture down your drains once a month to avoid build-up.
4. Educate Your Household
Teach the members of your household not to flush anything non-degradable or pour toxic materials down the drain.

Tallos nodded. "Well remove your bra and we will take a look, again I ask you, would you rather be powered down?"
"This unit would like to be on line, she can disengage her pain receptors thought." She says as she unclips her bra and slides it off.

Tallos makes a note on her file. "Highly flammable boobs and ass, got it... But you are lucky, you did receive some wounds to the upper chest, but your tanks where not punctured, it seems the deepest damage was to your abdomen, we will have to replace the playing there." He picks up some long nosed tweezers, reaching into one of the wounds, pulling out a spear heads, the temporal difference between paragon and Cimoria had caused it to rust away.
He placed it in a tray and sighed. "The fact it was still logged in there is not good, the rust doubly so.... Give me a moment." He removes her abdominal plate, exposing wires, servos and hydraulics. It took all Theta had not to giggle at the tickling sensation as she was cleaned out.
Finishing up, Tallos left the room for a bit before returning with a fresh abdominal plate. "Here we go, sadly we only have sealant for your epidermis injuries, we are running low on the alloy they use for your skin, we have had many break ins of late, some one stealing all sorts of units." He starts installing the replacement plate.
Theta waves a hand. "Oh it is okay, this unit can have scars, like a real person."
Tallos rubbed his chin. "I had not thought of it like that, but if you are okay with it."
She nods as he works, helping him reattach her front body plate, making sure her fuel tanks fit into her boobs properly, then waiting as he apples the solvent.
When done, she careful redressed and hopped off the table. "What is the bill?"
Tallos checks his tablet. "Hero corp will cover it, as you where damaged in the line of duty."
She bows to him. "Thank you again." She waves and leaves.
Kings Row. Theta's Apartment.
"This unit is home." She called as she stepped in the door, dusting snow off her self.
Brad waves from the couch. "How did it go?"
She walks up and gently sits on his lap, hugging him. "Minor repairs, this unit has scars now." She took his hand, sliding it under her shirt to feel.
"Aw, poor baby... Want me to kiss them better."
She laughed. "The solvent is still curing, so no kisses until tomorrow."
Brad sighs. "Awwww, but I want to kiss now."
She grins and kisses his cheek. "This units face is very kissable you know."
He laughs and starts peppering her in kisses as she laughs.

Albuquerque Janitorial Services for Post-Construction Cleaning: Restoring Your Property
Construction projects can transform a property, but they also leave behind a mess that needs to be cleaned up before the space can be used or occupied. Post-construction cleaning is a vital service that ensures your newly built or renovated property is safe, clean, and ready for use. Whether it’s a residential property, office building, or commercial space, professional janitorial services like those offered by Maid O' Matic in Albuquerque can restore your property to its pristine condition.
The Challenges of Post-Construction Cleaning
Once a construction project is completed, it’s easy to overlook the importance of post-construction cleaning. Contractors are focused on completing the build, and cleaning up the debris and dust often becomes an afterthought. However, construction sites are filled with a variety of messes, such as dust, paint splatters, adhesive residue, and construction debris, that need to be professionally cleaned before the space is used.
The challenges of post-construction cleaning go beyond simply removing visible debris. The level of detail required to make the space presentable involves cleaning hard-to-reach areas, sanitizing surfaces, and ensuring the entire property is safe and free of hazardous materials. Post-construction cleaning requires specialized equipment, techniques, and expertise to do the job properly, and that’s where Maid O' Matic comes in.
Why Choose Professional Janitorial Services?
Many property owners may think that a simple DIY cleanup will suffice after construction work is completed. However, this approach is often insufficient and can lead to poor results. Here’s why professional Albuquerque janitorial services are necessary for post-construction cleaning:
1. Thorough Cleaning of All Surfaces
Construction debris and dust can easily accumulate on walls, ceilings, floors, windows, and even ventilation systems. Cleaning these surfaces requires specialized tools and products to remove the buildup effectively. Maid O' Matic’s experienced janitors are skilled in using the proper equipment, such as high-powered vacuums, microfiber cloths, and eco-friendly cleaning solutions, to thoroughly clean all surfaces. Whether it’s removing paint stains from windows or scrubbing grout lines, professional cleaners will leave no stone unturned.
2. Removing Hazardous Materials
During construction, hazardous materials such as sharp nails, screws, or leftover chemical residues can be present on the site. A DIY cleaning job may miss these dangerous items, posing a risk to workers, future occupants, or anyone who steps foot in the building. Professional janitorial services ensure that these hazardous materials are properly identified and removed, ensuring the safety of everyone who enters the property.
3. Specialized Equipment for the Job
Post-construction cleaning is a demanding task that requires specialized equipment to clean large areas efficiently and safely. Maid O' Matic uses commercial-grade cleaning equipment, including floor scrubbers, steam cleaners, and high-powered vacuums, to ensure that the property is cleaned to the highest standard. These tools allow our team to address the dust and debris that ordinary cleaning tools may miss, providing a more thorough and professional cleaning job.
4. Time and Cost Efficiency
Attempting to handle post-construction cleaning without the necessary experience or equipment can be time-consuming and costly. Hiring a professional janitorial service saves you valuable time and allows you to focus on other important aspects of your project. Additionally, because professional cleaners work efficiently and have the right tools for the job, they can often complete the cleaning process in less time than a DIY effort would take. In the long run, this leads to better results and fewer headaches for property owners.
The Post-Construction Cleaning Process
Post-construction cleaning goes beyond just removing debris from the floor and windows. The process involves several detailed steps to ensure that every corner of the property is spotless and safe. Here’s a breakdown of the standard steps involved in Maid O' Matic’s post-construction cleaning services:
1. Debris Removal
The first step in the cleaning process is removing all large debris such as leftover construction materials, packaging, and building supplies. This includes collecting scraps of wood, metal, drywall, nails, and other waste. Proper disposal of this debris is essential to ensure the space is free of hazardous materials and clutter.
2. Dusting and Surface Cleaning
Construction sites often leave behind a layer of fine dust that can settle on every surface. Dusting and cleaning all surfaces, including walls, ceilings, baseboards, and windows, is crucial to removing this dust and ensuring a clean environment. This step involves wiping down surfaces and using vacuums with HEPA filters to capture dust particles that could affect indoor air quality.
3. Floor Cleaning
Floors often bear the brunt of construction debris. Whether it’s tile, hardwood, carpet, or concrete, post-construction floor cleaning is essential. Maid O' Matic’s Albuquerque janitorial services use appropriate methods to clean floors, including vacuuming, mopping, and scrubbing, depending on the floor type. For hardwood or tile floors, we use non-abrasive cleaners to avoid damage while ensuring the floors shine.
4. Window Cleaning
Construction can leave windows covered with dust, smudges, or paint splatters. Our team thoroughly cleans windows, removing all residues and streaks, to restore clarity and brightness to the space. Special attention is paid to both the interior and exterior of the windows to ensure they’re spotless.
5. Final Touches
After the primary cleaning tasks are completed, the final step is to take care of any remaining details, such as wiping down light fixtures, door handles, and air vents. Our cleaners also sanitize bathrooms and kitchens to make them ready for use. This thorough final touch ensures that the property is entirely clean and ready for occupation.
The Benefits of Post-Construction Cleaning
Investing in professional post-construction cleaning offers several key benefits:
Health and Safety: Proper cleaning eliminates dust, allergens, and hazardous materials that could harm the health of occupants or workers.
Aesthetic Appeal: A clean property looks fresh and well-maintained, boosting its aesthetic appeal and value.
Time Savings: With professional cleaners handling the cleanup, you save time and can move into the space faster.
Professional Results: Professional cleaners have the experience, equipment, and skills to provide a more thorough and effective clean than DIY methods.
Conclusion
Post-construction cleaning is a crucial service for property owners looking to restore their space after a renovation or construction project. By hiring Maid O' Matic’s expert janitorial services in Albuquerque, you can ensure that your property is thoroughly cleaned, safe, and ready for occupancy. Whether it’s a residential property or commercial space, professional cleaning guarantees that your building will look its best and be a welcoming, healthy environment for employees, clients, or residents. How To Block Rodent Entry Points In Your Commercial Offices

Rodents in the office are more than just a nuisance. They can chew through wires, contaminate food, and spread diseases. Keeping these critters out of your workspace is essential for maintaining a safe and productive environment. Fortunately, there are practical steps you can take to prevent rodents from making your office their new home.
One of the main ways to stop rodents is to identify and block their entry points. Tiny gaps and cracks around doors, windows, and vents can serve as gateways for these pests. By knowing where to look and how to seal these openings, you can significantly reduce the chances of a rodent invasion.
Here's How to Keep Rodents Away From Your Commercial Space:
Identifying Common Entry Points for Rodents
Rodents can squeeze through surprisingly small openings to get into your office. Start by checking around doors and windows. Look for gaps where door frames meet the walls or where windows sit unevenly. Even tiny spaces can be enough for a mouse to slip through. Use weather stripping to seal these areas tightly.
Next, inspect vents and utility lines. Rodents often enter buildings through ducts, pipes, and cables that run into the building. Examine where these utilities enter the walls and check for any spaces around them. If you find gaps, caulk or expandable foam can be used to fill these spaces.
Don’t forget to look at the foundation and roof. Cracks in the foundation and spaces under eaves or in the attic provide easy access for rodents. Use a flashlight to spot these cracks and seal them as soon as possible. Paying attention to these common entry points will help keep your office safe from rodents.
Implementing Effective Sealing Techniques
Once you’ve identified potential entry points, it’s crucial to seal them properly. Start by using caulk to fill small cracks and gaps. It’s flexible and can easily block small openings around windows, doors, and utility lines. For larger gaps, expandable foam works well, expanding to fill spaces and creating an effective barrier.
Weather stripping is another useful tool, especially around doors. Install weather stripping along the bottom and sides of doors to eliminate any gaps rodents could use to enter. This also helps to keep drafts out, improving energy efficiency.
Steel wool is excellent for stuffing into holes because rodents cannot chew through it. Combine it with caulk for a long-lasting seal. For areas prone to frequent rodent activity, consider using metal flashing. This material is durable and can cover larger openings around foundations and eaves. By using these sealing techniques, you can create an effective barrier to keep rodents out of your office.
Maintaining Clean and Clutter-Free Spaces
A clean office environment can significantly reduce the likelihood of a rodent infestation. Rodents are always on the lookout for food and nesting materials, so removing these temptations is crucial. Start by ensuring that all food items are stored in airtight containers. Avoid leaving food out on desks or countertops, as this can attract rodents.
Make it a habit to empty trash bins daily. Use bins with tight-fitting lids to prevent rodents from accessing any scraps or leftovers. Regularly clear out cluttered areas such as storage rooms and supply closets. Rodents love to hide in piles of paper, boxes, and other debris, so keeping these areas organized and tidy can eliminate potential nesting spots.
Encourage employees to keep their workspaces clean. Regular cleaning routines, including vacuuming and wiping down surfaces, can remove crumbs and other food particles. Keeping your office tidy creates an environment that’s less inviting to rodents and helps maintain a healthier workspace overall.
Utilizing Rodent Deterrents and Traps
Sometimes, even with the best preventative measures, rodents can still find their way into your office. Using deterrents and traps can help control and eliminate these pests. Start by placing bait stations or traps in areas where you have noticed rodent activity, such as near entry points or along walls.
Electronic rodent repellers are another option. These devices emit ultrasonic sound waves that are unpleasant for rodents, driving them away from your office. While these repellers can be effective, they should be used in conjunction with other methods for the best results.
Use natural repellents like peppermint oil or cotton balls soaked in vinegar in areas where rodents are likely to enter. These strong scents can deter rodents from coming inside. Additionally, consider using humane traps that allow for the safe capture and release of rodents away from your office. Regularly check and maintain all traps and deterrents to ensure ongoing effectiveness.

DIY AC Troubleshooting Tips Before Calling for Repair
An air conditioner breakdown can be a stressful experience, especially during the sweltering heat of summer. Before reaching out to a professional, there are a few simple DIY troubleshooting steps you can take. These tips could save you time and money by resolving minor issues on your own.
1. Check the Thermostat Settings
Ensure the thermostat is set to "cool" mode.
Verify that the temperature setting is lower than the current room temperature.
Replace the thermostat batteries if necessary, as low power can cause malfunctions.
2. Inspect the Air Filter
A clogged or dirty air filter can restrict airflow and reduce cooling efficiency.
Check the filter and clean or replace it if it’s dirty.
Make it a habit to clean or replace filters every 1-3 months, depending on usage and manufacturer recommendations.
3. Examine the Circuit Breaker
If your AC unit won’t turn on, check the circuit breaker panel.
Look for any tripped breakers and reset them.
If the breaker trips repeatedly, there may be an electrical issue requiring professional attention.
4. Clear Obstructions Around the Outdoor Unit
Ensure the outdoor condenser unit is free of debris, such as leaves, dirt, and grass.
Maintain at least 2-3 feet of clearance around the unit for optimal airflow.
Clean the fins gently with a soft brush to remove dirt buildup.
5. Inspect the Vents and Ducts
Check all air vents inside your home to ensure they are open and unblocked.
Move furniture, curtains, or other obstructions that may be restricting airflow.
Consider inspecting ducts for visible leaks or damage, as this can reduce cooling efficiency.
6. Check for Refrigerant Leaks
Look for ice buildup on the evaporator coils or refrigerant lines, as this may indicate low refrigerant levels.
Listen for hissing sounds near the unit, which could signal a leak.
Refrigerant issues require a licensed technician to resolve safely.
7. Test the Condensate Drain Line
A clogged condensate drain line can cause water to back up into your home.
Use a wet/dry vacuum or a thin, flexible brush to remove clogs from the drain line.
Ensure the line is free-flowing to avoid water damage.
8. Listen for Unusual Noises
Rattling, buzzing, or squealing sounds can indicate loose components or mechanical issues.
Tighten loose screws and fasteners if you’re comfortable doing so.
For persistent noises, consult a professional to prevent further damage.
9. Ensure Proper Power Supply
Confirm that your AC unit is properly plugged in and receiving power.
Check for frayed or damaged power cords, and avoid using extension cords to power the unit.
10. Restart the System
Turn off the AC unit and wait 5-10 minutes before restarting it.
This simple reset can sometimes resolve temporary glitches in the system.
When to Call a Professional
If these DIY troubleshooting steps don’t resolve the issue, it’s time to call a licensed HVAC technician. Persistent problems, such as refrigerant leaks, electrical malfunctions, or compressor issues, require specialized tools and expertise.
By taking these steps, you might be able to get your air conditioner back up and running without professional intervention. Regular maintenance and timely inspections can also help prevent future breakdowns, ensuring a comfortable home all year round.
