𝙮𝙚𝙖𝙧𝙨: 2010 — 2012
𝙧𝙚𝙡𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣: first, second, third and four time.
𝙘𝙪𝙧𝙧𝙚𝙣𝙩 𝙨𝙩𝙖𝙩𝙪𝙨: groupmates, close friends
It wasn’t premeditated. Yes, there was attraction between the two of the youngest members of the group but they had never imagined that they would take their relationship to something other than friends or group mates. It was started by Taehyung when one day he found Arabella crying over the comments of Glam fans due to her departure from the group, he comforted her and made her forget about her insecurities by making her laugh and then it happened, Taehyung kissed her. It happened again after they spent time without talking or even looking into each other's eyes, that second time it turned into a third and a fourth until they finally decided that it was better to leave it for their own good and the group’s.
This secret has never been known to the other members of the group, or so that’s whatTaehyung and Arabella believe.

𝙧𝙚𝙡𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣: one (drunken) nightstand
𝙘𝙪𝙧𝙧𝙚𝙣𝙩 𝙨𝙩𝙖𝙩𝙪𝙨: best friends
The first sexual experience with the same gender, something that Arabella will definitely not forget. Well, she kinda did.
As with Taehyung, it was something unpremeditated that is to be blamed on alcohol. Sunmi took Arabella to drink alcohol to celebrate her twenty-first birthday and well, after some laughs, some hugs and dancing together they ended up kissing in the middle of the dance floor and an hour later in Sunmi's bed.
Today they remember it —only some things, thanks alcohol— as an anecdote to laugh at and as a weapon to annoy each other.

𝙮𝙚𝙖𝙧𝙨: 2014 — 2015
𝙧𝙚𝙡𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣: several nightstands, threesome
𝙘𝙪𝙧𝙧𝙚𝙣𝙩 𝙨𝙩𝙖𝙩𝙪𝙨: distant friends
It's no secret that Kim Jongin seems like a sex god —at least that's how Arabella refers to him— so it's normal that the only female member of BTS found herself attracted to the dancer, which really came as a surprise to the girl It was that he was interested in her too so it just happened, one day they were talking and a few minutes later they were fucking in the SM Entertainment bathroom.
Sleeping with Kai allowed her to explore more in terms of her sexuality, she was able to learn what she liked and what she did not like, unlike in her other relationships since she had only had sex with two people in her entire life and it was not like she was able to explore a lot with them counting that she had only had sex with Taehyung four times —which were somewhat uncomfortable until the fourth and last time due to Storm not getting used to having sex, finding it too strange— and then there was Sunmi with whom she had only been once and was drunk enough to not remember anything about that night. One of the many things she experienced with Kai was threesomes, but that's a secret that she will take to her grave, for obvious reasons.

𝙧𝙚𝙡𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣: two nightstands
𝙘𝙪𝙧𝙧𝙚𝙣𝙩 𝙨𝙩𝙖𝙩𝙪𝙨: friends
Having sex with the leader of NCT was not in her plans but it happened when she went to do a collaboration with him, the two were alone in the studio and by accident they ended up very close to each other, Taeyong kissed her and they ended up fucking on top of the mixing console. The occasion happened again, although the truth is it started in a very different way, Arabella was sad because she had argued with someone —nowadays their identity is still unknown to the male Lee— and in a desperate act she called him to help her to forget her sadness although after that they both spoke and decided that they should not do it anymore for fear of destroying their friendship.

𝙮𝙚𝙖𝙧𝙨: 2017 — 2019(?
𝙧𝙚𝙡𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣: friends with benefits
𝙘𝙪𝙧𝙧𝙚𝙣𝙩 𝙨𝙩𝙖𝙩𝙪𝙨: close friends, still friends with benefits(?
Unlike her intercouse with the NCT leader, this was wanted. Arabella was attracted to the chinese, he was hers bias from his group and from what she had heard he was a fan of her and BTS so she went for it. One day, at some awards, she bumped into him on purpose, earning a quick apology from an embarrassed Yukhei but she laughed softly and putting a hand on his arm, smiled at him in a flirtatious way telling him not to worry, shortly afterwards they met again in another event and this time he approached her starting a conversation about how boring the event was so Storm asked him if he wanted to run away with her, he quickly accepted –oh, what a surprise!– and shortly afterwards they were taking a walk around Seoul while talking about anything, at the end of the night Arabella hid a paper with her number written in the pocket of the jacket that he had left her when he saw that she was shivering thanks to the breeze of the Seoul night crashing against her bare shoulders thanks to the dress they had made her wear that night.
They kept going on dates a couple more times until Lucas decided to take the step of kissing her on a date and, well, we already know what happened next. At the beginning of 2019, they no longer saw each other as often as they did before, but from time to time they were seen together, so it is not clear if their relationship is still standing.

𝙮𝙚𝙖𝙧𝙨: 2015— 2017
𝙧𝙚𝙡𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣: friends with benefits, threesome
𝙘𝙪𝙧𝙧𝙚𝙣𝙩 𝙨𝙩𝙖𝙩𝙪𝙨: friends
Her relationship with Chanyeol was much more casual than the one she had with Kai. Since they had the threesome and her relationship with Kai had ended, Storm decided to take advantage and have sex with EXO's giant rapper. She liked how affectionate and attentive Chanyeol was during sex and of course that his long and strong body was very helpful to have fun in different ways in bed, but the best thing about this relationship was that he made her laugh and everything had a natural flow, there was no pressure on trying to look sexy all the time, Chayeol was certainly in the top 3 of her lovers.
Although the relationship seemed to go beyond the physical, possibly moving forward from only being sex, both decided to cut ties after hearing the news that exo was going on tour, so the opportunity to become a relationship was snatched from their hands but they are still good friends today as the affection they had for one another didn’t faded.
𝐊𝐖𝐎𝐍 𝐌𝐈𝐍𝐒𝐈𝐊 = 𝐒𝐈𝐊 𝐊
Tumblr media
𝙮𝙚𝙖𝙧𝙨: 2016
𝙧𝙚𝙡𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣: dated
𝙘𝙪𝙧𝙧𝙚𝙣𝙩 𝙨𝙩𝙖𝙩𝙪𝙨: exes
Her relationship with Minsk was brief but intense, five months to be exact. She met him after a getaway to Jigoku to relax and forget the tension that had occurred with Chanyeol after a stupid fight. She was angry and hurt and wanting to get rid of her anger in some way and he was there with a stupid, sexy smile, up on stage with Jay Park, both shirtless. So it happened, he approached her when he saw her at the bar drowning her sorrow in alcohol but still surprisingly sober, they talked for a while and that's it, it happened. He took her to his house and shortly after that night they began a secret relationship, Chanyeol was forgotten under the promises and the good sex with a bad boy.
Their relationship didn’t end very well but of course no one knows that because for the rest of the world she and Sik-k never existed, that relationship never happened and will never happen.

𝙮𝙚𝙖𝙧𝙨: 2018
𝙧𝙚𝙡𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣: several nightstands
𝙘𝙪𝙧𝙧𝙚𝙣𝙩 𝙨𝙩𝙖𝙩𝙪𝙨: enemies, acquaintances
It’s no secret to anyone that Storm is bisexual –thanks Sunmi for that– but what is a secret is that she slept with the sweet Blackpink’s Rosé several times, even stealing her virginity. Like her relationship with Minsik, what happened with the YG singer is a secret that no one knows about, not because she is ashamed or something like that, but because Rosé asked her to do so even though she herself wanted to start a relationship with Storm, which led to the end of this interaction. Rosé wanted to have a serious relationship but Storm didn't want anything with anyone –we can thank Lucas this time for that– so the singer got angry and broke up with her, to call her thirteen times the next day asking to come back, the girl went crazy and Bella decided to block her both on her phone and her life.

New Friends (aka Meeting the Rest of the M9)
Child of the Nein (Mighty Nein & Child!Reader)
Jester
While on the road you had encountered a half-orc named Fjord who was headed to Rexxentrum, something about studying magic, you didn’t pay too much attention to the conversation until he asked about you. Jester explained how the two of you were travel buddies to a concerned looking Fjord, before long though he joined your small group, and about a week or so after that while on the Amber Road you three met Beau and together helped save a fisherman’s daughter from a vicious serpent. Well they saved her, you were mostly moral support and comforted the girl while the others took care of the giant snake. Come the next day the four of you now were looking to split the rewards when Jester caught sight of a stinky looking man and a halfling? You were going to join her but something much more entertaining caught your eye when the tavern doors slammed open and the most colorful tiefling you’ve seen struts in like he owned the place, advertising a circus no less. The tiefling approaches you and introduces himself as Mollymauk or just Molly, because now you were friends, you happily accept the flier for the show and go to show Jester asking if you could go. She of course agrees and by the looks of things everyone else you’ve met today seemed interested too. You couldn’t help but get this feeling that this was the start of something mighty.
Nott
On your travels to help hide from guards Nott had taught you how to speak halfling and had stolen some porcelain masks to hide your goblin identity. Unfortunately this still didn’t always work, but you did make a new friend out of one of your prison escapades, a man who went by the name Caleb. Nott had gotten aquatinted with him while you squeezed your way out of the cell to find a key or anything to pick the lock, after the successful escape it seemed you now had a new member to your little party. With this new companion came new and interesting ideas, the most recent being to head to Trostenwald and find people to "join", however just before you reach the town you get attacked by some gnolls, but are able to take care of them quickly. Well Nott and Caleb took care of them while you scurried out of range, still not great at the whole combat thing. You find yourself curled up between the two of them the next morning as they also stir awake and head down to start the day. Not long after finding a place to seat yourselves, the sound of coin hitting a table next to yours draws Nott's and your attention, you both start discussing how to get your hands on it with Caleb trying to interject. Your little talk gets the attention of the blue tiefling at the table who comes over and almost immediately comments on poor Calebs hygiene, the other two occupants of the table are now also interested and question you three, and if that wasn't exciting enough then the appearance of a colourful tiefling and a well built woman strutting into the tavern promoting a carnival sure was. You duck your head down to avoid any sort of confrontation and just wait for everything to settle down a little, when it finally does it seems your other two party members decided checking out this carnival would be a good idea. Maybe it was, it did sound fun and if you were being honest you kinda hoped to see those other individuals you met, but who knows what the future holds.
Caleb
Over the years of travel Caleb's grown to appreciate your presents, sure you still had the tendency to be annoying to him but otherwise you were a good listener. Whenever he’d get into trouble he made a plan that you’d keep your distance but follow them to the jail, Caleb would also lend you Frumpkin to keep you company and keep an eye on you. When you find the window to the cell Caleb's in, you'd give Frumpkin back as well as anything small and sharp to pick the locks with. On one particular escapade you had a new friend sharing the cell with Caleb, you handed the metal wire you found to him and he gave it to the goblin lady who was much better at picking locks then he was. When the two were finally out of jail you got to properly meet your new travel companion, Nott. When she realized you were apart of the little group she instantly went from defensive to protective of you, you found this kinda funny, not fully up understanding why she was like this. With someone else to talk to, you and Nott were already forming a new bond together. These new bond you were making would only grow once you reached Trostenwald, it was there you first encounter a bubbly blue tiefling who introduces herself as Jester. While Nott and Caleb "acquaint" themselves with the two Jester was with you talk with the tiefling a little more, the two of you form a fast friendship. To make matters more interesting a very flamboyant tiefling and mysterious looking woman soon stroll into the tavern, the former making their way towards you and Jester. He introduces himself as Mollymauk but asks you call him Molly, handing you both a flier to a circus that was in town before strutting off to the other patrons. You show the flier to Caleb and practically beg to go to see the show, he seems to cave after a bit and agrees, you clutch the flier to your chest with a big smile on your face. You couldn’t wait for tonight.
Caduceus
What started as a normal day truned into something much bigger then you’d ever expect when a group of adventurers showed up asking for assistance to bring back a fallen friend and save the others from a group known as the Iron Shepherds. The female firbolg with them, Nila was her name, asked for a hug when seeing Caduceus who happily accepted, when she noticed your presence she asked you the same question as well. You of course also agreed and the two of you shared a silent moment of understanding, as she held you tightly in a grip only a longing mother could provide and you returning the gesture, missing your own mothers embrace. After some tea, a demonstration of Caduceus' skills and Nila promising to have those of her tribe watch over the temple it was time to leave. At first everyone thought it best to leave you at the temple as they were headed to dangerous territory but Caduceus put up the argument that the two of you were like a package deal and that you were skilled enough to hold your own, should the situation demand it. To your surprise they all seemed fine with this, except maybe Nila, and off you went following whatever path destiny had set you on.
Fjord
You were headed to Rexxentrum after Fjord discovered these newfound abilities he obtained, and let’s just say you your jaw dropped in awe the first time he fired an Eldritch Blast. While on the road you bumped into an excitable tiefling named Jester who decided to join you on your journey. After another week maybe, you sorta lost track of time on the road, you meet Beaureguard or Beau as she prefers. When it came to saving the daughter of that nice fisherman, you weren’t always good at remembering names, you stayed to the sidelines helping keep her and yourself out of the way while the others beat the giant snake to a pulp. Come the next day while splitting the rewards, Jester hobbles off to one of the nearby tables and acquaints herself with a shaggy looking man and a strange halfling woman. You go back to helping sort the reward, ignoring the stares of the strange halfling, what you couldn’t ignore was the appearance of a rainbow clad tiefling and their companion as they waltzed into the tavern. The tiefling walks over and introduces himself to you before handing you a flier, you accept the flier and chat with him a bit before he wonders to the next patron. You stare at the circus flier admiring the different colors and designs, having never been to one the flier alone captured your interest and you go to ask Fjord if you could check it out. After some thought he agrees as well as the others you’ve acquainted yourself to today. Tonight was going to be something magical, you could just feel it.
Beau
You’d noticed Beau acting more standoffish during training then usual, so you decide to do some digging and discover a letter from her parents explaining how they now had a son. Still a little confused you didn’t notice Beau enter her room until she questioned why you were invading her privacy. You in return questioned her about the letter and behaviour, it turned into a mini argument ending with Beau telling you she would be leaving tonight. Not wanting to be left without a teacher you decided you’d tag along, Beau refuses the idea but you were stubborn, guess her teaching method payed off for something. You played a little dirty saying she’d be abandoning you like your parents did, and that you could just tell the other monks. She was both pissed and impressed with your persuasion skills, mostly pissed though, but a part of her did feel grateful to have you come along. When the two of you reached the Amber Road after days of travel you encountered a half-orc named Fjord and a tiefling named (hilariously this got autocorrected to naked) Jester. The four of you soon after meeting a fisherman named Rinaldo who asked for the groups help to save his daughter from a giant serpent, this being your first real battle outside of training proved to be a bit tricky for you but your smaller size helped you maneuver around the beast easier and helped keep it distracted while the others finished it off. The next day you and Beau were sorting out how to split the reward while Jester went over to the next table to chat with a very filthy man and odd halfling who looked more like a goblin to you. Then enters the circus, no seriously a tiefling and aasimar burst into the tavern promoting a circus that was in town. It sounded interesting and you’d be lying if you didn’t say you were a bit excited to go see it. With the reward money sorted out and something to do for the evening today was turning out to be a good one.
Yasha
The two of you had been wandering for a long time, how long you weren’t entirely sure but it’s been a long journey. It felt like this was how life was gonna be for the long haul, but oh how wrong you were, when moving from southern Xhorhas over into the Dwendalian Empire the two of you encountered a circus or carnival if you prefer. It was here at this carnival that the two of you met Mollymauk though he insisted you just call him Molly. Days turned into months and your travels had brought you to Trostenwald, when arriving Gustav asked the three of you to head into town to advertise the show. Molly suggested the greatest place to start would be at the local tavern, Yasha had no arguments and neither did you. When you arrive at the tavern, in all his glory Molly slams the doors open and walks right in, you and Yasha following closely behind. Since you still weren’t great with large, confined groups of people you decide to stick closer to Yasha as a sort of shield while she starts talking with a woman who seemed to be hitting on her. You do end up chatting a little with the half-orc that the woman was with but you keep your sentences short and sweet, making the goblin from the next table over comment on your cute demeanor, this making you feel a little embarrassed. You felt a little more relieved when you were finally done with the tavern and got to move on somewhere else to advertise, though as embarrassed as you felt you did kinda hope you'd get to see those people again at the show.
Molly
You’ve been with the circus for two years now and it was never a dull moment here since you and Molly had completed you little entrance exam as you’d referred to it. Molly worked as both a promoter and fortune-teller, and you worked as his co-promoter and a musician, having learned you have great skill in playing a flute. While traveling the vastness of Wildemount you come across a mysterious woman named Yasha, you and Molly instantly welcome her to your circus family, no questions asked, and are happy to hear when she agrees to join you. She was a bit distant at first but soon slowly starts to warm up to you. Cut to several months later and you’ve reached the town of Trostenwald, the three of you head in to advertise the show, starting with the local tavern. Molly makes a grand entrance, you playing your flute to add to its grandness before making your way around the tavern handing out fliers. While Molly starts interacting with another tiefling, you make your way over to a duo that looks like they’ve seen more time on the street then in a bath, not that you’d judge of course. You hand them the flier and try talking with them a bit, the man didn’t say much but did say his name was Caleb while the goblin, Nott defiantly struck up more of a conversation, asking some questions and even cracking a few jokes with you. Alas you had to leave and continue spreading fliers to the rest of the town, before heading out the tavern you give one last call hoping to see everyone at the show tonight.

Questions: How?
A Supernatural Fan-fiction
Featuring: Sam Winchester X Female Reader
Setting: Starts in Season 6, breaks off in Season 8
Chapter 1 of my Questions Series
A/N: I started a challenge for @ericaprice2008 and needed to build up to the fluff parts. There is canon level violence and a story of a dying kid. This is a collection of back stories from Y/N’s perspective. Other chapters are from Sam’s, hope y’all like how it goes! A comment or a reblog goes a LONG way. xoxo Stu
Tumblr media
Sam smiled shyly down at you, his eyes twinkling with hope. And the only thing that crossed your mind was ‘How did I get so lucky?’
You first understood how misunderstood the Winchesters are, after a case in Indiana. The Brothers that had started and somehow thwarted the Apocalypse, Death and an array of demons were just regular guys with a few too many chips on their shoulders.
You and your cousin Rafe had been closing in on a pair of Djinn who were also running a substantial drug operation. Which, of course, made it harder to get to the monsters themselves. After two weeks and Rafe getting abducted did you get them within your grasp. Suddenly two bulky dudes were barking orders; guns in one hand and knives in the other.
“Back off pricks. These djinn are mine.” You spat, glaring at each of them suspiciously.
“Cool it, sweetheart. That’s fair. I can tell it’s personal,” the cocky one started, side eyeing the giant. In silent agreement they helped you flank the bottom feeders, making good use of your blood caked blade.
By the time you got to Rafe, it was too late; his body limp and drained. The look of euphoria the only solace as the sick satisfaction of killing his captors had already begun to fade. You tried to act strong in the presence of these strange hunters, but you all knew it was a mask.
Hours later and you had begun to hold normal conversation again. You chuckled humorlessly upon learning their identities. After all, they were their own type of legend. Sam spoke to you in low tones, his long hair floating in the night breeze as you told him about your cousin and how you had been hunting together most of your lives.
“How’d you get started?” He asked, true curiosity in his fathomless eyes.
You sighed and dove into your origin story: “Family camping trip. Rafe’s little sister was dying of cancer and we went as a last hoorah, so to speak. The Wendigo came at night, dragging our parents out in to the woods. Rafe, Julia and I slept in one bed. I saw it, lingering in the shadows by the door.
“The only thing that saved me was my cousin’s disease riddled body. It could smell the sickness, but we were all intertwined and it couldn’t tell which of us was poison.”
“Wow. So what happened, after?”
“Julia died about a week after we were put in foster care. Our parents were considered missing, but Rafe and I knew...a monster had stolen them in to the night forever.”
Sam didn’t offer sympathy or change the subject. Dean patted you on the back as you watched the last of Rafe’s fire smolder out. Strangers that stood with you as you mourned your last family member were strangers worth knowing.
***
It was another six months working odd jobs and figuring out your strategy as a lone hunter before you laid eyes on the notorious duo again. After a frustrating and unsuccessful tracking of a vengeful spirit, you called Bobby Singer for some advice.
“How’s my best girl?” Bobby always was sweet to you and spending time with him reminded you that not all old men were creeps.
“Got a real vexing ghost on my hands. What can you tell me about Hoodoo dispelling charms? I’m thinking someone is keeping it only half-way in check.”
After an hour Bobby called back with the right summoning to attempt to purge it for good. “Now there might be a pair of idjits nearby if you want some free help.”
“Thanks, Bobby. I’ll consider calling in the cavalry, if it goes south.”
“Keep me posted.”
You hung up and got to work on finding the ingredients. This was a nasty spook, shaking the walls and generally making it hard to light the moss in the ceremonial bowl. A slight click of a closing door sent the hairs on the back of your neck on end. You continued to flick your lighter, chanting under your breath. As it turned to steam in the air your adrenaline peaked.
Sam’s hands locked onto your clavicles, yanking you backwards. The sensation was jarring. Before you knew it both you and Sam were on your asses as the wall caved in, precisely where you had been performing your spell work. A shotgun boomed beyond the rubble, Dean was here too. Slowly and with slight annoyance at the boys and Bobby, you finished off the bitter old mistress of the house.
***
After Bobby passed and the Leviathans were sent back to which they came, you began to worry about Sam. Sure, Dean had been lost before, but something about the restlessness in his eyes told you that Sam was leaving the life behind. You weren’t more than acquaintances, so you kept your opinions to yourself. The world was crazy enough without you trying to handle his burdens too, you thought.
And regretted it instantly.
After a few bad one night stands and months of radio silence you got a late night phone call.
“Y/N?” Sam’s voice was a cautious whisper.
“Winchester you better be bleeding if you’re calling me this late.” You muttered, rolling to sit on the edge of the pull out sofa you were crashing on.
“Garth said you were in the area. Up for some digging?”
“I assume you mean actual digging and not research, right?” You yawned, not really wanting to leave your lumpy bed.
“Guilty. We’ll buy you breakfast.” Sam offered, muffling the mouthpiece as Dean spoke in the background. “Dean promises there’ll be dessert.”
That got your attention, “Uh, hello? When did he show up?”
“Oh, right, well, about a month a go?” Sam sounded sheepish.
You rolled your eyes and stepped back into your boots. “You picking me up or am I meeting you?”
“Just text us your address, we’re already on the road.”
*
These were not the brothers you had known. Their faces were long with exhaustion, their words clipped and looks guarded. You realized after cleaning up at their motel that you were there as a buffer. They were fighting and needed a minder. You were no Bobby, even your best teacher voice couldn’t get their heads out of their asses.
You walked out of the bathroom with a towel on your head and a borrowed tee shirt of Dean’s. They had been yelling.
“Cut it out!” You bellowed. “You guys want to get kicked out and find another hole in the wall at this hour?!”
Sam gritted his teeth and gestured toward Dean in frustration. You crossed your arms over your chest as Dean scratched his eyebrow pointedly at Sam, with his middle finger. Slowly they relaxed, the tension rippling through the night. Sam left for a walk and you and Dean caught up.
“Purgatory? Better or worse than Hell?” You teased, but curious none the less.
“It’s not really a comparison. Hell was torture. This was constant battle. But I had a choice, and I chose to keep fighting. While, Goldilocks turned tail and found himself a little woman.” Dean grumbled.
It was starting to make sense. “So, why is he here now and not making baby Sasquatches?” You countered, knowing that Dean was missing the sacrifices Sam made for him.
“Hell if I know, Y/N.” Dean poured another finger of whiskey into your glass while he topped himself off.
“Well, I’m glad you’re back. Both of you.” You raised your glass in a toast. Dean’s head lilted to the side, not quite a nod, not quite a shrug.
A month later you were hitchhiking through Kansas when Garth sent you a message.
‘See if you can get a hold of them Winchester idjits, they stopped answering my calls.’
You held your breath and hoped the boys were on better terms.
“Hey there, handsome,” You purred into the phone. “Help a girl ease a friend’s mind?”
“Y/N, hiya sweetheart,” Dean answered gruffly. “Where the hell are you?” Dean responded to the cacophony of the roadside.
“Along I-70. You?”
“On my way, got something to show ya.”
An hour later the Impala pulled up to the window in the truckstop diner you had perched at. After a refuel, Dean drove you to the Bunker for the very first time.

An incomplete list (but already way too long) of stalker/obsession films for... no reason at all. Keep in mind I got all these from online lists, so if some of them aren’t actually stalker films, I cannot be held accountable for it.

The Prince’s Groom
For KuroDai Week Day 4: Blind Date / Shotgun Wedding
Summary:
Daichi had been stunned to discover, that when Kuroo was saying ‘until next time’, what he truly meant was ‘I love you’.
Notes: The Princess Bride AU parody/retelling that nobody asked for but are gonna get anyway.
AO3
Once, for what felt like a lifetime ago, Sawamura Daichi was what many people would consider fortunate.
He was born from a simple family, who owned a farmland, just at the outskirts of town. His family had been known to be a generous and kind one, and it was a trait he clearly inherited from both of his parents. Although, while Daichi is like this to most people, he isn’t quite so when it came to the adopted boy who he grew up along with, Kuroo Tetsurou.
Daichi had known his name, for it was probably the first and last words he had spoken when he was taken in. He would have been the perfect friend for Daichi back then, if he only accepted the friendship he offered. Still though, as payment for the Sawamura family’s generosity, he accepted the job of being his father’s assistant –a farm boy.
Ever since then, it was the name Daichi addressed him by.
Over the years they grew up alongside each other, Daichi had found more reasons, rather petty ones, to keep himself convinced that he dislikes Kuroo. Like how the other was taller than he is, even just by a small margin; or the way he looks at Daichi, with something akin to mischief in his eyes that always left Daichi wondering if the other knows something that he doesn’t. And there have been many others more.
Over those years as well, Kuroo would only say, “Until next time,” in a voice so soft, after he had delivered what Daichi had asked for, or after he’s done with his day’s work and was to return to his small cabin.
After a particular hard day of chopping firewood, Daichi had been stunned to discover, that when Kuroo was saying ‘until next time’, what he truly meant was ‘I love you’. But, what he was more amazed of, was when he realized that the dislike he has for Kuroo was merely a façade, and that he truly loved the other just as much.
However, Kuroo was just a poor farm boy, and if he wanted to be wed to Daichi, he had to find the money to do so. So, he sought to find his luck across the sea. It had been an emotional parting for the both of them, to say the least.
“But what would a guy like you, who’s very much like a cat do,” Daichi said with a smile that has the hint of teasing in it, gently pushing the hair blocking his full view of Kuroo’s face and cupped it, “surrounded by all those water?”
“I’ll learn my damnedest to swim. Probably be helpful too, what with all those years I haven’t done regular bathing,” he jested, in an attempt to wash away the sadness from Daichi’s eyes. It did something, as a smile crept up on his beloved’s face, but it wasn’t enough.
Daichi drew Kuroo in for a tight embrace.
“I am afraid, that I might not see you again,” he whispered. “What if something happens to you?”
Kuroo squeezed him, before he lifted himself away from Daichi’s embrace. “Nothing will happen to me. And trust me when I say this,” he looked Daichi squarely in the eyes, “I will always come back to you.”
Daichi never trusted anyone else, as much as he trusted Kuroo, and he wanted to believe, but, “How can you be so sure?”
“This is true love,” Kuroo replies simply, his smile a fond, loving one. And it was enough to ease Daichi’s doubts that time.
But as the old adage goes, ‘whatever can go wrong, will go wrong’. For Daichi, this has never been more devastatingly true. The ship Kuroo was boarding was attacked by the fearsome Dread Pirate Ukai, infamous for not taking any prisoners and leaving no one alive. Daichi had closed himself off from the rest of the world, when he heard the terrible news of Kuroo’s death. He vowed to never love again.
Truly, for what felt like a lifetime ago, Sawamura Daichi was what many people would consider fortunate, for he had found true love.
But he lost it too soon.
----------
Nothing of significance happened to his otherwise empty life, five years after the incident. He does not consider being chosen to be the Prince’s bridegroom as fortunate as most of his fellow commoners made it out to be. Even though the laws of the country gave the royalty such right, Daichi was still no under obligations to love the Prince.
Simply because he does not.
----------
Daichi supposes that being flung to a boulder to ‘catch his breath’ after a decent amount of running, is not the worst thing that has happened to him for last few hours (or has been a day already, he’s not sure…). What he’s certain of though, is that it’s significantly less dangerous, than say, attempting to swim in monstrous eel-infested waters, or being harnessed to the back of a giant, while he climbed up a towering cliff. He’ll take up running anytime over those two.
He does what he was told, brushes off his light riding clothes, and uses the time he’s been given to strike up a deal with the ‘man in black’, which was an apt nickname for someone garbed in an all-black ensemble. Also, because he didn’t tell Daichi his identity when he asked him earlier. He just replied with a cryptic “I’m not someone to be messed around with. That’s all you need to know.”
Be that as it may, he’s not keen into calling the man his savior just yet, for he could very well turn out to be another captor.
“Look, if you set me free,” he licks his dry lips, “I am sure that you will be rewarded handsomely. I promise.” Daichi is not given to using wealth that doesn’t even belong to him as a leverage, but desperate times call for desperate measures.
The Man in Black just laughs at him. “I have already been rewarded handsomely. I have my face.” He smirks. And it was familiar, but Daichi paid it no mind. “Nevertheless, I won’t be in too much of a hurry to make promises like that, if I were you. Seeing as you’re still hardly considered royalty.” He scoffs. “Don’t make me laugh, Highness.” He spits the title mockingly.
Daichi pushes back the irritation he felt.
“It’s not a false promise, but a chance for you to be left unharmed. Wherever we go, wherever you take me, the Prince will surely find us– find you. He’s a superior tracker and hunter. None like the country has ever seen.”
This earns him a scoff. “You really think your beloved will save you?” He asks, the bitterness in his voice is not lost to Daichi, even at his instant indignation.
“I never said he was my beloved, But, I know that he will save me.”
The Man in Black tilts his head to the side, looking at Daichi with a gleam of curiosity in his eyes.
“You… you just admitted that you do not love your fiancé?” He sounded a bit shocked, not that Daichi could blame him. But it is the truth, and he has no qualms in saying it. Not even from the Prince. So it doesn’t bother him, telling that to other people.
“He’s well aware that I do not love him,” he tells the man so.
“Because you aren’t capable of it,” the man sneers at him.
Daichi could take any accusations that could possibly be thrown his way, but this is one that he will not take lightly.
“You have no right to say that about me,” he slowly says, not bothering to hide his rage. “You have no idea what I have been through. I have loved and been loved deeply, more than you could possibly imagine. But you will never understand. Not a man like you.” Daichi shakes his head in scorn.
He feels a dangerous aura from the man in front of him, and he reflexively takes a step, but it was soon gone, when he did.
“Perhaps,” is what he says, “But what could you possibly know about a man like me?”
Daichi thinks back to the bits and pieces of information he’s gathered about the man. He’s possibly skillful, if he was able to beat the swordsman. Strong and probably resourceful, with the way he was able to gain on them during their ascent to the cliffs, and that he was able to beat the giant. Definitely cunning, if the conversation he just heard and not seen, when he was dealing with the boss was to go by.
But his words, while playful, have a certain bite, they cut deep and they know how to strike. His actions are also far cry from gentle, what with all the flinging around Daichi has done.
There is a sudden realization at the only person he could possibly be.
“You… You’re the Dread Pirate Ukai.” Daichi suddenly feels heavy, and his heart seemed to stop inside his chest.
The man smiles, then steps back and dramatically bows in front of him. “Pleasure to meet your acquaintance. How may I be of service?”
“You can go die a slow and painful death,” he hissed.
Dread Pirate Ukai clicked his tongue at him. “Now, now, that’s not nice, Your Highness.” He walks towards a fallen tree trunk.
“You don’t deserve nice. Not after what you did. You killed the man I love.”
Dread Pirate Ukai just shrugs. “That’s highly likely. I’ve killed a lot of people,” he says proudly. He sits in front of the trunk, then leans back comfortably. “So tell me about this love of yours,” he begins, his tone conversational. “Was he a prince just like this one? Wealthy, but arrogant and stupid?”
“No,” he answers immediately. Now, Daichi could care less about someone bad mouthing the Prince, but he responds, just to prove the dreaded pirate something. “A simple, hardworking farm boy. With a very messy hair that could have been as just alive as he is.” He remembers with a soft smile, before his face hardened again. He was looking at his hands then, and it’s why he missed the way the pirate’s expression turned soft.
“He’s modest, but he’s mine.” Daichi looks away from the pirate and casts his gaze into the sea. “But because of you, he’s lost to me forever.”
A moment of blessed silence pass, and then the man in black stands up again. “Now that you mention it,” a wondering lilt on his tone. “I think I remember this ‘farm boy’ of yours.”
He pass by Daichi and stands a few steps away from the edge of the high terrain. “He died quickly, if that makes you feel better. No senseless pain; no prolonged agony.” What he said however, doesn’t get a reaction from the prince.
“He was quite memorable… persuasive. He begged me to spare his life, said that there’s someone he still needs to go back to.” This catches Daichi’s attention, and he slowly looks at the man, only to find that the pirate has been watching him. “I asked what, and his reply was his ‘true love’.”
Dread Pirate Ukai shrugs, breaking the tension that had built in the previous moment. “Then he proceeded to talk about a boy of exceptional beauty, and persistent devotion, which I could only assume is you,” he says, waving a hand in Daichi’s general direction as he walks by him. Daichi keenly feels his presence behind him. “Looking at things now, he’s better off dead, than truly finding out what kind of man you really are.” Daichi catches the disdainful note, and it bristles.
He stands up straight, tries to match the pirate’s height, his posture completely defensive.
“And what kind of man am I?” He demands, the sheer hurt and frustration is making tears well up in his eyes.
“He talked of devotion; persistent one,” he growls back, meeting Daichi head-on. “Tell me, when you learned of his death, did you mourn him? Or did you throw yourself at the foot of the prince straight away?”
Daichi grits his teeth, fists clenched tightly at his side, entirely offended that this man dare ridicule his pain. “You’ve already mocked me before, and don’t you dare do it again!” He bellows, and he takes a wicked satisfaction at the pirate’s utter shock. But all the hurt he’s been keeping to himself breaks out. “I died that day!”
Despite his anger at the man, he notices the way his expression turned mellow, as he reaches out a hand to him, and the pirate gently cups one of his tear-stained cheeks. “Don’t touch me,” he violently swats the arm away.
“Is it true?” Dread Pirate Ukai asks, not a hint of the previous malice, but rather wondering, and happy. Obviously, it wasn’t taken well by Daichi.
“Why do you care?” He says, glaring hatefully at him.
The pirate only smiles, as he takes of the head scarf that served as his mask as well, and Daichi’s jaw dropped as he revealed his face. It’s the face he thought he’ll never see again. A face that still haunts him in his dreams and even while he’s awake– the face of his true beloved.
“K-Kuroo…” Daichi says, unbelieving that the man is real, and that he’s standing in front of him, very much alive. “You… you’re alive?” Daichi breathes heavily. The words came out as a question, rather than a statement. But it’s given, since Daichi is still terribly confused, and is still not convinced that he’s actually awake and not dreaming.
Kuroo nods, “Yes,” and reaches out for Daichi once again, with two hands this time, effectively cradling his lover’s face. “It’s really me, Sawamura. I didn’t die.”
Trembling hands and cold fingers touched Kuroo’s face, as Daichi cups his cheeks, pushing the hair back, away from his face with his left hand, and searches his eyes. Kuroo knows that he’s looking for the love, and he’s pretty confident that it’s shining in them right now, because all his doubts had been cleared by Daichi’s tearful admission. All his buried affection, now at the surface again.
It’s not that he hadn’t wanted to come back to Daichi as soon as he was given the free pass of living for one day more. But, he was still at sea, and as much as he learned how to swim, he found it impractical to do so, when he has a fine ship. Not once during his training to take up the mantle of ‘Dread Pirate Ukai’, did he not think of Daichi. He has always wondered what the other is doing, how is life treating him.
Those thoughts hardened his resolve, and he worked twice as hard, honed his skills further, until his predecessor was satisfied. When he was done, the first thing he did was come back, ready to sweep Daichi away and sail across the sea, to bring him to the places he’d been. But by then, he had been too late. The news of the prince marrying a commoner, marrying Daichi, had reached him and it filled him with such despair, that he almost sailed away again.
Yet, he couldn’t.
Kuroo had wanted answers. It was partially his fault that this happened, but, until he’s certain that Daichi is better off without him, that they’re both better off without each other, he’ll continue to stay. He happened to catch a glimpse of Daichi leaving the castle on his horse, and that’s how he witnessed the kidnapping. Fearing for Dachi’s safety, he followed them, all with the intent of saving, and returning Daichi to the prince if he so wishes.
His heart swells at the thought that after all these years, Daichi keeps on proving his persistent devotion for him. Kuroo’s dazzled by Daichi’s brilliant smile, once the latter found what he was looking for. But instead of the tearful kiss Kuroo was fully expecting, he gets a smack instead on his chest.
“You were alive all this time, and yet you didn’t tell me?” Daichi says, clearly and understandably put out, and he smacks Kuroo’s chest again, a bit harder this time, that Kuroo loses his balance. It would have been alright, if he wasn’t standing close to the edge of the high terrain, and so he loses his footing and rolls down the slopes.
“Kuroo!” Daichi yells, as he watched Kuroo roll down. It was an easy decision to follow after him.
They both tumble across the grass covered slope, grateful that it isn’t as boulder and rock infested as it had been above, until Kuroo flops at the bottom, face planting on the ground. Daichi follows soon after, rolling once before the light material of his clothing helped him slide the rest of the short way to the bottom. They were both panting and disoriented, but Kuroo immediately sits up, as best as he could, and crawls over to where Daichi has landed.
“Are you alright?” He asks when Daichi groans. He nods weakly. Kuroo lifts Daichi’s head and lets it rest in his arm, as he hovers over his lover’s prone form. “I love you. I never stopped loving you, Daichi,” he says tenderly. He knows he’s got a lot of explaining to do, but that can wait. Right now, he needs to assure Daichi that he’s never leaving him again.
Daichi smiles woozily at him, as he gathers enough strength to lift an arm and cup Kuroo’s cheek again. “I love you too, Tetsurou,” he says, looking deliriously happy, before he brings down Kuroo’s head and their lips meet for a long awaited kiss.
