Prom Dresses, Anyone?

I gotta tell you, we just had the BEST experience going prom dress shopping yesterday. We went to this cute little shop called AmariProm in Littleton, MA called Amari Prom, located right next to Donelans Supermarket. Not knowing what to expect, we walked in completely blindly not having the slightest idea of what we were looking for.

So so glad we decided to start at this place, because we were one and done!

The staff was so helpful, courteous, professional, honest and knowledgeable. Took all the nerves out of it for both my kiddo and I. I mean, last time I went prom dress shopping was in the 90s! Yikes!

We ended up with the best choice, in a color and style that my daughter loved and was so excited about! Talk about a stress free experience! And I can check a huge to do off my list because this little field trip was hanging over my head. I’m thrilled it’s done and she’s all set for her big day.

And the boyfriend was pretty stoked about it too, after he put his eyeballs back in from seeing how gorgeous his beloved looked!

Recently made a post about lol what if Mike Newton and Bella randomly got together during Twilight wouldn't that be funny and now I can't stop thinking about the reverse.

Like, what if Edward for, seemingly no reason, fell in love with JESSICA. Right in the middle. I know he can't stand her, I haven't read Midnight Sun but from what I hear he's not terribly complimentary to her general vibe, and I know she's supposed to be a mean girl or something but idk I just think it's funny.

Picture it: the whole plot happens, Bella comes to school, Edward is shaking and spitting bc of how crazy it is that a teenager goes to high school, Bella even falls in love with him, but then Edward inexplicably falls for fucking Jessica. They've been bonding while he's been attempting to avoid Bella (and his family bc they're pissed he wants to turn her into a human piñata) and they just keep growing on each other? They keep running into each other during class and stuff. He can't stand her/her thoughts but they get to talking anyway bc circumstance. He mentions a book he likes and he's surprised to see she actually reads it. She calls him out on his weirdness with a boldly tactless quality Edward's charmed by. He calls her out on her meaner tendencies with a quiet weirdness she's receptive towards. She's arrogant enough to ask him out and he, for some reason, accepts? They go bowling or smth and Ed actually has a good time for some reason. Jessica benefits from being around someone so unlike her, Ed benefits from being around someone so unlike him, they get along bc they're both awful, dramatic weirdos, but it's still JESSICA.

the whole plot still happens but it's JESSICA in the spotlight instead of our favorite wet rag Bella. Edward is trying to tell Jessica he's a vamp and she's like "bullshit! ugh, no way." Finally figures it out and is like "no way, shut up!" She's still the valedictorian and shops and hangs out with her friends except now they have to accept that never-blinks Edward is There Too. Bella just wanders around Forks and hangs out with her dad. Edward's weird insistence on maybe killing the new girl is never brought up again. Everyone forgets. Evil tracker vampire gets pepper sprayed bc Jessica carries it in her purse. They're the most annoying couple you'll ever meet. They're constantly fighting probably. Alice is REELING.

A Bloody Spectacle

A triple crossover of Little Shop of Horrors, Carrie by Stephen King, and Nope by Jordan Peele. This piece brings out the themes of spectacle and the terrible consequences that come if we are not careful about it.

As Jean Jacket spews the bloody remains of its latest victims over poor Carrie White, standing barely safely above the anticipating pod of Audrey II. All three show the catastrophic results of how we are not always aware of how terrible the actual story certain events originated from really are or how dangerous what we are seeing can be.

P.S. Always wanted to try making something like this after connecting all three horror stories together by themes.
