All the Features Added Within 2023: A Comprehensive Overview
As we bid farewell to 2023 and welcome the promises of a new year in 2024, it's time to reflect on the remarkable journey of MyCarTracks and the host of features we introduced in the past year. These enhancements not only shaped the experience for our users but also set the stage for an even more exciting and innovative future.
UI/UX Redesign - Navigating with Ease
In 2023, we prioritized user experience with a comprehensive redesign of our web application. The menu structure underwent a major overhaul, resulting in a more user-friendly interface that better aligns with user needs.
Zoned Geofences
One notable addition in 2023 is the introduction of Zoned Geofences. While our service previously focused on radius geofences, we now empower users to define zones with multiple vertices. Currently applicable for geofence analytics and map visualization, the upcoming year promises additional features such as alerts and rewrites.
Geofence Analytics distance driven inside
Enhancing our geofence capabilities, we now provide insights into the total distance driven within a geofence. This valuable data allows users to understand the mileage covered within specific zones, offering a deeper level of analysis.
Replay Track - Visualize Your Journey
Enhancing monitoring capabilities, the Replay Track feature enables users to replay recorded tracks directly on the map. This dynamic tool allows for a real-time visualization of driver movements, aiding in better understanding and analysis of routes taken.
Bouncie Integration
For businesses relying on Bouncie devices, integrating them with MyCarTracks proves advantageous. This collaboration ensures real-time position tracking and accurate location records, providing a seamless experience for users. Learn more about Bouncie integration here.
Log Book Enhancements
Our log book received significant updates, including an automatic update save feature, a Simplify addresses option for improved report readability, and the ability to view daily recorded tracks as a single row. These enhancements streamline the logbook experience for users.
New Shared Maps features
MyCarTracks Shared Maps witnessed significant improvements in 2023, offering users:
Customized Aesthetics: Tailor the look and feel of your maps with various details and color schemes.
Dynamic Live Map: Stand out when sharing maps with customers or visitors through smooth movements on a dynamic live map.

Fast Loading with Caching Maps and CDN: Enjoy faster loading times of large maps with caching maps and CDN, and explore the option to create heat maps for added sophistication.

Recognizing the importance of advanced visibility in logistics, MyCarTracks integrated with project44, the world's leading Advanced Visibility Platform™. This integration is accessible under Extensions, providing users with unparalleled logistics insights.
Drive Back - Empowering Employee Reimbursement
For companies offering mileage reimbursement, the Drive Back feature is a great addition. Employees can now drive directly home without the need to return to the office to clock out. The bonus? There are various industrial issues to resolve. In retail, suboptimal experiences and inability to discover products lead to site abandonment and lost sales. This cost more than $2 trillion globally, including $234 billion in lost US sales, said Carrie Tharp, Google Cloud VP for Strategic Industries. Meanwhile, the American Medical Association (AMA) revealed that nearly nine out of 10 physicians claimed that prior authorization delays negatively affected patient clinical results, with some patients discontinuing therapy. These are some of the complicated business issues clients face daily.
Rayn Veerubhotla, Google Cloud’s Managing Director for Partner Engineering, says AI-based products help clients and partners speed digital transformation. Discovery AI offers Google-like digital property search, browse, and recommendations. Healthcare Data Engine provides longitudinal patient records in near real time across siloed data silos. Med-PaLM 2 uses Google Cloud LLMs to generate high-quality medical answers. These capabilities and IVN partner products enable end-to-end solutions for essential industry business problems.”
We also introduced the Data & AI Cloud for Supply Chain today. IVN solutions can meet crucial industry use cases by simplifying access to the most relevant business data.
What IVN solutions are we launching?
Supply Chain: Clients seek resilient supply chains that can handle demand fluctuations, disruptions, and sustainability issues. Accenture, Google, project44, and NGIS are addressing several use cases, including commodities supplier first-mile sustainable sourcing certification and real-time transportation analytics for supply chain resilience. To cut emissions and save money, Google and Accenture are optimizing fleet management for mid- and last-mile deliveries.
Sustainability: Climate change, regulations, brand image, and consumer/investor demands require businesses to be sustainable. Deloitte and Geotab are releasing an IVN solution to assist fleets electrify end-to-end. Customers can use an interactive dashboard to trace their electrification journey. This IVN will receive incremental value from partner solutions that track clients’ carbon neutrality progress.
Financial Services: The heavily regulated financial services business faces increased prices, competitiveness, cybersecurity concerns, and client expectations. AI-enabled insurance underwriting platform Quantiphi is launched on Google Cloud using Unqork and Dociphi, its IDP Platform. This helps commercial insurers automate difficult underwriting. This IVN solution will be included for dynamic entity resolution and fraud analysis from other Google Cloud partners in future iterations.

What next?
More IVNs with strategic partners and clients will launch in Q4 2023 and early 2024. IVN solutions in progress include:
Financial Services: Modernize core banking architecture with Thought Machine for better client experiences, product innovation, real-time reconciliation, and regulatory reporting resiliency. We’re also establishing an IVN with Quantexa and important SI partners for risk and fraud management, KYC, and ER.
Retail and CPG: Generative AI interfaces will let consumers research items and services. Commercetools, Lytics, and Oriient are establishing a retail media network to monetize digital sites using C360 customer data.
Healthcare/Life Sciences: Google Cloud generative and healthcare AI-enabled prior authorization with Myndshft & Pegasystems accelerates revenue cycle management for payors.
Innovative IVN solutions from Google Cloud and its partners will unleash our clients’ potential. Bron Hastings, Google Cloud’s Vice President of ISV Ecosystems and Channels, said IVN solutions will help clients deliver exceptional end-user experiences, improved operational efficiency, and sustainable practices in retail, consumer goods, financial services, healthcare, manufacturing, and other industries.
Google Cloud uses the trusted tester program and early adopter access for product launches to solicit client and partner input. IVN clients can now provide use cases and solutions, and partners can deliver industry advances.

Why Supply Chain Visibility Is A Must For Today’s Retailers

As many as 90% of retail executives believe mastering logistics is a critical element in achieving success with today’s on-demand economy. They’re right.
Retail supply chains infused with multimodal visibility have an unrivaled competitive advantage. Supply chain visibility can no longer be considered a “nice to have” feature. It is essential to effectively serve today’s connected, informed consumer. Despite the tremendous value, supply chain visibility is still misunderstood. My goal is to clear up a few of those misunderstandings. Let’s take a closer look:
How Should Retailers Define Supply Chain Visibility?
The first step in harnessing supply chain visibility is to understand the true meaning of end-to-end visibility. As defined by Gartner, it is "A capability that provides controlled access and transparency to accurate, timely and complete plans, events and data within and across organizations and services."
Supply chain visibility is about retrieving usable supply chain data as information is exchanged between different systems. The most crucial aspect to achieve visibility is the architectural setup — how a retailer’s company and systems are connected to the retailer’s business partners and networks.
Why Do Retailers Struggle To Achieve True End-To-End Visibility?
Improving supply chain visibility has been a long-time priority for retailers for decades without much success. Why? Most of the blame falls on a lack of integrated systems.
For example, 75% of shippers report their visibility tool is not integrated with their operating system. A lack of integration limits their ability to prevent stockouts, meet ever-evolving consumer demands and keep suppliers and carriers compliant. Additionally, only 39% of shippers use visibility systems to capture data that can lead to educated and dynamic decision-making.
Most systems that share data across supply chain and transportation networks are still managed through legacy and pre-Internet processes including manual spreadsheets, email/phone calls, FTP, web site scraping or point-to-point electronic data interchange (EDI). As a result, the exchange of information, along with rules that facilitate the data transfer, are not sophisticated enough to achieve end-to-end visibility. Instead of a true network-centric view, those systems deliver incomplete and out-of-date visibility, at best.
Over $5 billion was estimated to be invested across supply chain companies last year alone to help solve for the uncertainties in today’s supply chain. Those investments will be pointless unless companies lay the foundation of a digital backbone to overcome the current connectivity gaps caused by legacy technology.
How Can Retailers Create Supply Chain Visibility?
End-to-end visibility empowers retailers to prevent stockouts and meet ever-evolving consumer demands. With 33% of U.S. consumers blaming retailers for stockouts, retailers cannot afford to have a fragmented view of their supply chain. Customer loyalty and brand reputations are at stake.
A networked approach where all transportation partners (including suppliers and carriers) are on the same informational page allows retailers to make informed decisions and compete with the likes of Amazon and Alibaba.
Retailers should look for solutions addressing the connections that enable access to accurate, timely and comprehensive data. Unlike EDI or legacy systems, Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) serve as a modern middleware solution that deliver a comprehensive view.
Never assume a single solution can provide true visibility across supply chain transactions or transportation modes. End-to-end visibility extends beyond traditional truckload tracking and requires the entire freight transaction set.
Supply Chain Visibility Is A Retailer’s Competitive Weapon
To remain a competitive player in today’s market, retailers require an arsenal of on-demand insights across the entire spectrum of supply networks and freight transactions. By adopting a single API-based network solution that also offers a suite of freight services, companies can speed up visibility and offer superior service.
