Project Mango/A.D.M.I.N; Chapter 1

Shock. They actually fucking responded. A letter from a government official regarding his project. Derrick just stood at the mailbox with his mouth wide open. He didn't even care that the neighbors could see stuff like his pajama pants with ducks on them, or the matching duck slippers. All that mattered was this letter addressed to him.

"Momma!! They replied!" he yelled, running into the house and undoubtedly waking some people up. Hell, his mother, Maude, was barely awake. She'd been dozing off on the couch. She looked up with a confused look on her face. "Derrick why, in God's name, are you yellin'? It's 7 in the mornin I havent even woken up all the way!" Maude told him, standing up.

Derrick simply nodded, but excitedly showed his mother the letter. "Look! I got a reply!" he exclaimed, pointing at the subject line of the letter. "Re: Derrick Lewis, Project Mango Experiments" it read. What was Project Mango exactly?

Maude had the same question. "Derrick what the hell is this 'Project Mango'? Is this one of your lil science things?" she asked.

"Well basically, some people can't really have kids. The solution? Fruit baby. Trust me, Momma, this is genius! I just need a lot of different samples of organic matter and certain particles that are involved in the human body, and some incubators, and then I can test this out!!" he explained. Maude looked confused. "Why mangos?" Derrick simply shrugged. "We have too many, and we both know you and I wont eat em. May as well use em for my science stuff. That's how your phone stays charged."

Maude looked confused by that statement, but didn't want to question it. She just shook her head and sat back down on the couch. This was too much information for her to stand for. "C'mon, baby, read your letter. I wanna know what they told ya." she said, patting the seat next to her.

Derrick nodded and sat down, clearing his throat. "'Hello, Derrick. My name is Barry Knowbol, and I'm with the United States government in regards to more scientific endeavors. We receive a lot of letters and emails from young people such as yourself, but none of which have ever caught my eye until I read yours. You want to assist those with issues reproducing by introducing produce (as in the fruit kind of produce, hahaha) and certain organic matter to create a living being. That's so interesting.

'We understand that you need a lot of materials. Incubators, the organic matter previously mentioned, and some money because I'm sure you'll end up needing to take care of the fruits of your labor (haha, another joke. I'm on a roll today :]). We are willing to provide such things for you with the condition that you document the process taken so we can have it in our records. If this ends up a successful experiment then you could easily become famous and become a spokesman for this kind of accomplishment. Please write back with the exact materials you need and I'll have my people carry it to your place.

'Thank you SO much for reaching out to us with this idea. Sincerely, Barry Knowbol of the United States government.'"

Derrick looked at his mother, who had a shocked look on her face. He expected her to say something, anything, but she just sat for several moments, leaning back in her seat and taking all that information in.

"Would...you be okay with that, Momma?" Derrick asked, breaking the silence. Maude just sat for a few more minutes before finally opening her mouth.

"I'll let you do this. But if it becomes too much for you, please tell me. Don't exhaust yourself doin this, okay, honey?"

Derrick nodded and ran upstairs to his room. He had an important letter to write back to Mr. Barry Knowbol.

"Liyah, sweetie, why are you leaving us?"

"Dad I just- I don't want to be your apprentice anymore. I wanna go out and see the world!"

18 year old Aliyah argued with her father, Robert. Back and forth, "Please don't leave us!" "But I want to live my life!" and so on.

Aliyah finally had enough, and slammed her foot on the floor. "I'M DONE!" she shouted, causing her father to take a step back.

"Nora, my sweet daughter, please don't yell at me I've done nothing wrong!" Robert claimed, feigning sadness.

"Yes, because forcing me into a private school and getting mad because I started dating Mason Calohan and calling him my boyfriend in the 7th grade is doing nothing wrong." Aliyah said, going down a hallway to her bedroom.

"MACY Calohan is a weirdo who thinks she's a man because she wants her father's place as mayor later in life. She keeps calling herself a gay man and she's just gonna confuse the town!" Robert said, trying to justify himself.

"STOP DOING THAT. You WONDER why I wanna leave but here you are fucking misgendering my best friend! Even Kevin York calls Mason by the right shit and he drinks and cheats on his wife!" she shouted, punching the wall next to the door afterwards. Robert groaned and left the doorway to her room.

"Robert, calm down. She'll go around the world and come home once she misses us." Robert's wife, Maria, said. She patted his shoulder and kissed him on the cheek. Robert eased down and sat in his armchair.

He didn't understand where he'd gone wrong. He thought he did so good training her into being his apprentice so that Aliyah could take on the family business.

Then she started hanging out with the mayor's oldest... child. That thing taught Aliyah about being queer and other such things. Now she's claiming to be a "demi girl" that's "a sexual" and "pan romantic."

Robert thinks its ridiculous. His daughter is a woman and she shouldn't even think about loving other women. She also shouldnt be saying shes half a girl, shes a whole girl.

Unfortunately for Robert and his wife, they're only 2 of very few people who share those kinds of views. Not too many people will agree with them, but it is what it is.

Aliyah finishes packing her suitcase. It doesnt need this. All she needs is her passport, her precious items, and one last haircut from her mother because she will admittedly miss those haircuts.

"Mom? Will you cut my hair?" Aliyah shouts, walking out of its room. Maria pops up and rushes to get her scissors and a trash bag. Robert stands up and pulls his wife close. "Collect that hair and keep it in a sandwich bag for me." he whispers. Maria just nods, confused by this request.

What is Robert planning.

Project Mango and A.D.M.I.N; The Prologue

Allow me to set a scene. The small town of Cheston. Rather quiet town, not really a lot of people. Just a few families that are really significant to the community.

There are the Calohans, the family that is undoubtedly the most known considering Mayor Mason Calohan Sr; the Yorks, which was a family doomed to be problematic from the beginning; the Charleston's, which contains perhaps the most selfish scientist to have ever touched this earth; and last but certainly not least, the Lewis's, perhaps one of the strongest families out of the few mentioned.

This town is a close-knit place. Everybody knows everybody, and sure theres not a single person that likes everybody, but everyone at least has a good amount of friends. For example, Mayor Calohan is friends with the lovely Maude Lewis, and has been since they were in grade school.

Mr. Robert Charleston is friends with the town sheriff. How else would Robert get away with all of his insane acts against humanity and morality?

Kevin York is friends with many, many of the ladies in town. His best friend is his wife, Fiona, though. She makes him mad sometimes but he has people who cheer him up in the only way he accepts.

There are a lot of young people in town. Easy 15-18 year old range. Miss Charlotte Calohan is easily the baby of the town, at age 15. Miss Aliyah Charleston is the oldest person at 18, but only older by 2 weeks. We aren't exactly focused on Charlotte so much as Aliyah though.

Derrick Lewis is 16. Derrick is an only child, an only child to a single mother at that. Derrick doesn't exactly have friends. He doesn't go to school either, yet he's considered a genius.

Maude is proud of her son, she is overjoyed by his success in discovering new sciencey things, regardless of whether or not she understands it.

Aliyah is also an only child, but she knows her father. Robert is her father. He loves her very much and she loves him. She knows he would never, ever replace her. She's too valuable to replace properly.

Mayor Calohan has four children. His oldest child, Mason Jr., hes only 18. His twins are the same age as Derrick, only 16. His baby, Charlie, she's 16 like I mentioned earlier. Hes perhaps got the most children and he still manages to run the town properly.

Mr. Kevin York has two daughters, according to official records. His eldest, May, she's a handful according to Kevin. Kevin's youngest, Billie, she seems to hate her dad. Shes suspicious of him. She thinks he's cheated on her mother with a woman who's almost like her in so many ways.

But that'd be ridiculous. The only other woman who shares Fiona's characteristics is Maude Lewis, and Maude wont tell anyone who Derrick's father is. If it were Kevin she'd certainly tell us. He's a real great guy!

Except. That's also ridiculous. Because Carol Standal at the gas station says he buys up all her beer and cigarettes before 8 in the morning. And everyone hears him yelling that he hates Fiona right before he leaves for work.

And Derrick looks an awful lot like May, they could be twins for sure had it not been for the fact that they most CERTAINLY have different mothers and fathers.

Then again, Maude did mention Derrick doesnt go to school because he has siblings she'd rather he not see. She cant afford the private school so homeschooling is her only option.

Who knows. All we know is the date is September 5, [YEAR REMOVED], and Derrick just got a very important letter in the mail from someone very important. On the same day, with another family, Aliyah is leaving her home much to Robert's dismay.

so like. these past couple of weeks I've been quiet kinda, I know

BUT. but. but but but

I am going to start posting like. wholeass chapters of the Admin/Mango story here. The whole chapters.

They'll be under a special tag and its jus a thing I'll do to like. Get stuff posted yknow? It may also help me with stretching out my writing hands.

So yah. They'll always be put under a read more/keep reading thing bc they'll be kinda long and I dont like clogging up peoples feed.
