I am considering doing a big Project ja-Kha'jay update.
I am tempted to get rid of some of the head models I feel look too awkward (especially the expressions) and replace nearly all the beastial head variants with the Khajiit Overhaul models, now that the additional heads have been fixed (well, for the ladies. I can get the male .tri files from another mod I have permission to use. I think I have the skills to fix their weird little grinch noses now.)
This would be for all the types with rounded ears like the Cathay-Raht, male Suthay-Raht, and Pahmar-Raht.
I would likely completely redo the male catlike Cathay (only seen in the addons), at least the males because I really hate how they look:
As much as I like his ears and rounded face, his eyes are just off. I think I can sculpt a better head from a KO base now.
Vaharadaro designed the two female catlike Cathays, so I would keep them because they do look nice. And Khayla, too.
I would keep all of the other design elements (hair, accessories, warpaint, etc.)
I do need to check if the heads are truly an improvement first (for example, the head types on the chopping block ha look really bad when in combat/angry) but I dunno, would people be too upset?
Additionally, I'm upgrading the Ohmes/Ohmes-Raht to high poly heads and some other goodies for them.
Won't touch the serval-like Tojay or the tigerlike Suthay-Raht, because they look alright. The female cheetah-like Suthay-Raht and lioness-like Cathay-Raht (like Lajjan) already use the KO heads, so no edits there either.
Additionally, Nair, the Tojay from the 3DNPCs addon, will be Bingus'd the second @/volno drops their Sphynx mod. Not for quality reasons, but because I like silliness:

I wanted to try to make @beastiesandsundries vision of a baby Tojay Ma'isha come true, because that's a big brain take and I love it :D
I also made variants of her snood (accessible through console) and added little hairflowers (from Menno Hair Flowers) for her to wear (Sofie in Windhelm should sell them).
Please note:
requires Khajiit Child Maisha and Project ja-Kha'jay (4.0+)
ESPFE, so it won't take up a plugin slot
while the snoods/flowers are technically playable, they won't appear on other characters
the collision on the snood/flower ground objects is wonky
she still has a neck gap, so keeping the snood is recommended
she uses an edited version of the JKJ female digitigrade skeleton (with all the 'adult' bones removed, as far as I can tell)
unfortunately she still uses and adult body when not wearing child clothes, I couldn't figure out how to fix that

Yoooo, that’s my mod!
I did actually add a couple Alfiq (the ones that look like housecats) in the Project ja-Kha'jay - Moonpath to Elsweyr Addon:
And made another mod that makes Ma'iq an Alfiq:
And if you want some Alfiq characters (including followers), check out Creatures of Nirn - Alfiq, so you can get insulted by Ancano's little lackey:
Also, there are two Suthay-Raht morphs (cheetah and tiger with digitigrade feet, inspired by Morrowind) and some Khajiit (like Kharjo) remain the 'regular' Khajiit race, which I consider Cathay
The Moonpath addon also includes Senche (thought the mod calls them 'Pahmar'):
really hope that in tes 6 bethesda brings back the 17 different khajiit types. shit would be fire.

*screaming* GUYS, guys, peeps. Idk if any of y'all play modded skyrim with khajiit child Maisha , but pretty much it adds an adoptable khajiit kid and she's adorable and my daughter. Anyways. I've been playing with @dawns-beauty Project Ja-Kha'Jay and I ADORE the design style for the Tojay-raht furstock, with that huge-eared Serval influence. Then I looked up Serval kittens and they're the weirdest little guys omg. Well, I can't mod worth crap. But I can scratch my brain goblins with my pencils all right.

i wanted to make some art for the release of project ja-kha'jay: khajiit will follow by @dawns-beauty, so i drew my skyrim main character daro'ktar (left) with the mod's version of ma'kara (right)
i plan on opening up a proper art/TES sideblog eventually, and i really love all of the project JKJ character designs, so i'll likely draw more of them in the future!

daro'ktar is a suthay and ma'kara is a cathay-raht, hence the height difference here. i tried to get it as accurate to ingame as i could, but i accidentally made daro'ktar too tall lmao (let's just pretend she's standing on something)
ma'kara is based on a lion so i tried to emphasize round facial features, especially to contrast with daro'ktar's more angular ones. daro'ktar is a VERY old OC of mine and previously wasn't based on any specific kind of cat, but i redesigned her to look at least a bit like a melanistic caracal. you can see her old design (and name) here
i left out ma'karas chin warpaint on purpose because coincidentally daro'ktar also has similar warpaint there ingame, so i like to imagine they do matching chin warpaint once they get married :)
ma'kara is wearing hunter armor and daro'ktar is wearing mercenary light iron armor with a scarf from regal assassin

lmao as i posted this another Argonian horn mod dropped! Made by the same mod author behind Project ja-Kha'jay and Children of the Pariah!
Do note that it isn't compatible with Horns are Forever [but includes the tweak to allow horns to stick through hoods if i read that correctly] nor is there compatibility for BeastHHBB. The mod author is considering making one if enough interest is shown. [Patch permission is open with credit tho]

-baby lion with spots
-wee sandcat kitten
-Pahmar tiger babby
-smol caracal kiddo
-and a widdle Ohmes kid with hand-painted 'tattoos' and a rope tied around their waist like a tail (because everyone else has a tail) :')

What's New pussycat
A pretty big optimization effort! I removed the rogue extra 'KhajiitDiversity' folder that was floating around which slimmed down the files size considerably. Then I realized that I don't have to actually include any of the meshes I used in generating NPC faces (just the .tri files) so I removed all the hair, head, eye, etc meshes from the main file. I also trimmed some unused textures and records in the plugin itself. The standard, 2k texture FOMOD-installed file size went from 1.7 GB to 925 MB.
Additionally, I added a fixed version of the Better Claws and Gauntlets patch in (no more invisible Ohmes hands when they don't wear gloves) as well as a patch for the old Khajiit Caravan Kittens ESL Version.
The 1k Textures Patch also received an update to give all the hand textures finger pads, like the 2k textures have.
I also changed some normal maps for Pahmar and Suthay (both types) to improve consistency and removed some redundancy (the normals for Pahmar and Cathay-Raht were nearly identical.)
While update is not strictly necessary for function, all future addons and current addon updates will need 4.0.5+ Safe to update midgame, if you're so inclined.
Interesting NPCs Addon received another change: a new design for Qa'dojo. I've never been satisfied with his look, so I replaced his textures and gave him a new face:
Currently not planning on editing the Asya'la and Ma'isha addons, as they're really small anyways. I will be editing Children of the Pariah, though.
Next Project ja-Kha'jay addon I'm planning will cover Khajiit Caravan Kittens (as well as patching it to work with Khajiit Has Wares.)

turns out the problem wasn't project ja-kha'jay, as i had thought, but fuckin Khash! just moved her up in the load order and it worked just fine
new problem with adding mods to a premade modlist, for some reason about half the population of skyrim has no hands. truly dark times for the people of skyrim.

Unfortunately you cannot update it midgame, and any patches/addons will need to be updated.

The fluffy-faced would-be Companion! I’m pretty happy with Bikhai’s golden-tiger inspired design.
To finish off the mod, I’ll be covering the other Khajiit NPCs (the ones that won’t follow) and likely doing a small tweak to the Vigilant patch.
