The Cortes Island Museum and Archives would like to invite you to join us on Sunday, October 20, 1:30pm at Manson’s Hall. The Collecting Activities of James Hepburn at Metlakatla Researcher Lydia Fisher’s illustrated presentation will introduce the naturalist/antiquary James Hepburn and his role in procuring important cultural patrimony belonging to the Tsimshian people at Metlakatla. Where did these masks, clappers, soul catchers and items of personal adornment, collected in the 1860s, end up? Refreshments will be available. Everyone is welcome. Donations are appreciated.
