hey profoundnonsense! thanks for the prompt! Since you didn't say, I assumed this was from the first list, which was kisses and wrote to the "First Kiss" prompt.

sorry this took me a bit. with the shift in the air date of the last episode and some holiday things, I didn't have time to work on my last two prompts when I wanted to do it.

but that means this one is set after RJ returns to work.

If You Say So

RJ couldn’t stop smiling. His face hurt from it.

“If you say so.” 

It wasn’t the most enthusiastic encouragement RJ had ever heard, but it wasn’t discouragement, which was the entire point with Alex.

He still didn’t say he missed RJ, but didn’t argue when RJ said that he did. At first it was a “Whatever you say.” Then it became “Sure, RJ.” Then only a smile. But that smile made RJ’s heart beat with such intensity he thought for sure Alex had to have heard it.

Then one day, not too many after RJ returned to White Dark Bistro, Alex took off his apron and threw his towel on the bar and said, "Let's go for a walk."

It wasn't like he was suddenly this different person. He still gave RJ lectures, but now when RJ mocked him for it, Alex would look back at him with a smirk on his face and RJ's face would suddenly feel hot.

There had been so many times when RJ had been looking at Alex and he never seemed to notice. But now, whenever RJ glanced at him, Alex was always looking back.

Bai Lang gave them both this weird look and a goofy wave as they left out the door.

"I like ducks," Alex said, after a long while of silence. It wasn’t unusual for Alex to be laconic, but the statement appeared to come out of nowhere. 

“Okay,” RJ said, because he knew better than to discourage Alex from speaking when he decided to say anything that wasn’t some sort of lesson.

Alex stopped leading them both along the path and sat down on an empty park bench. “Sit,” he said when RJ just stood there, acting like a confused idiot.

RJ complied easily, as he often did whenever Alex directly asked him to do anything. It was after he settled into the seat that RJ could see that it had a view of a little pond. 

It was a clear day, the sun was moving higher in the sky and the rays were reflecting in splashes of light across the water. Dozens of ducks swam along in the glittery pond and congregated on the water’s edge. The clouds were the most brilliant pure white against the most saturated blue sky. RJ wanted to draw every bit of it, but he hadn’t brought his notebook.

“You like watching the ducks?” RJ asked, finally getting a clue.

“You said I don’t share things about myself. I’m not really a sharing kinda person.”

“You share with Bai Lang,” RJ said, and instantly regretted it. He knew Alex and Bai Lang were only friends, but there was a tiny kernel of jealousy he felt whenever he noticed how at ease they were with each other. 

“Bai Lang shares. I listen. I tell him what an idiot he is. That’s how it works with us.”

And although that seemed partially true, Bai Lang did know a whole lot about Alex. “Does Bai Lang know you like ducks?”

“I doubt it,” Alex said, leaning back on the bench as if he planned to stay for a while.

Alex's answer was a bit disarming. He liked the idea that he was telling RJ something he didn't usually tell others. So he let himself relax too, shifting his body to mirror Alex on the bench.

RJ’s movement unintentionally brought them closer together, his leg accidentally shifting and pressing against Alex’s thigh. But Alex didn’t move it, didn’t act strange. He continued to sit there quietly. So RJ stayed right where he was.

Alex reached into his pocket, and still looking straight ahead, handed RJ a bar of chocolate. It was the kind RJ had eaten at the restaurant before and mentioned to Alex that he particularly liked it. Just the fact that Alex remembered this sent RJ’s head spinning.

“Thanks,” RJ said, opening the wrapper and breaking off a piece. He then offered the open bar to Alex. He looked at it out of the corner of his eye and then took a small square. The two of them sat quietly eating while they watched the ducks swim and splash.

“I don’t have a lot of close people in my life. It felt different when you were gone.”

RJ laughed, jumping into the opening before he even could give it a second thought. “So you missed me?” he asked.

Alex turned toward him, raising his hand and reaching for RJ. He guided RJ to him, pressing their lips together. It began as a tight lipped kiss, much like their previous kisses, but this time they both relaxed into it, lips parting. RJ melted into the warmth of it, his entire body leaning into it, gravitating toward Alex. 

They slowly separated, but then just as quickly found one another’s mouth again, short kisses, turning to long kisses. RJ’s fingers were trembling as he grasped at Alex’s hand that was now holding onto him. It was almost more than he could bear.

Alex quietly said, “Yes,” when they finally pulled back from each other. 

“Mmm, what was that?” RJ asked, kiss drunk, his mind completely foggy. He had lost track of what they were even talking about.

“That was our first kiss,” Alex said, and he turned back to look at the ducks, but this time he shifted his arm behind RJ’s shoulders, pulling him closer and tucking RJ under his arm. 

RJ couldn’t stop smiling.

Wait...what is Gikwang's infamous broadcast incident and where do I find it?

it is the bad girl inkigayo performance from october 25th 2009, and don't look no further, here is the only hd video of it that i could find. this incident infamously led to the one nipple rule implemented on music shows, led cube entertainment staff to tell gikwang to please just stop stripping on broadcast all the time, and garnered him the nickname fisherman gikwang. lmao.

uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh probably like a week or two ago. cannot remember. i cry often

probably their outfit? although it varies from person to person

drawing + animation. creating tierlists and slideshows for things that dont matter. i'm pretty musically inclined, too.

happy endingssssssss!!!! i dont think i've ever watched a horror movie in my life.

what are your hobbies?

drawing + animation (again), hiking when i can, lots of various crafts + things that i jump around (sculpting w/ polymer clay, fiber arts, etc etc). i feel like engaging in my favorite interests also counts.

i have 3, but they are family pets. a dog and two cats.

...um. marching band (questionable)

probably English/Language Arts (?) I honestly just like any discussion based class, but hate writing papers, so do with that what you will.

2. How and when did you become a CHOICE?

I think it was around August last year, I was looking up pics of Mark Tuan on pinterest and then somehow pics of Byeongkwan in a crop top came up and I was like WHOMST is that funky dude I must know E V E R Y T H I N G, and then fell down the rabbit hole of A.C.E content

3. What is your favourite part of being a CHOICE?

How interactive the fandom is, and how welcoming they are! I’ve made some amazing friends on my journey of becoming a choice through tumblr, discord and twitter <3

4. What is your favourite A.C.E song? Do you prefer their title tracks or b-sides more?

I really don’t know tbh.. I have so manyyyy, I’d say it’s between Goblin, Baby Tonight and Savage..

5. Who’s your bias? What do you like about them?

Byeongkwan <3 I really love how kind and considerate he is, and how hardworking he is, and his boundless confidence, it’s so beautiful to see him confidently declare how hot and pretty he is. Also I adore the colour of his voice, I don’t know what it is about it but I just adore it, and his dancing is just a whole other level and I got such a surge of pride when I got to see him slay at the dance how to’s on pops in seoul every week.

6. What is your favourite thing about A.C.E?

How close they are, how every vlive they have together feels like you’re chilling with found family. They’re so chaotic but wonderful and always look out for eachother.

7. Which concept has been your favourite? What kind of concept do you want them to try?

Definitely HJZM era, the teasers were out of this world, those under water pics with JunChan took my breath away.. but this comeback... they really took it up a notch holy shit, they really putting soodam studio to good use!

8. Which A.C.E friendship is your favourite? Which one do you want to see more of?

SehJun I think, because when Junhee is being silly, Sehyoon really relishes in it and indulges him on it, even when the rest of the members are side eyeing them lmao, but also DongChan are very precious I love ho Donghun looks at Yuchan like he’s human sunshine uwu

9. If you could tell A.C.E one thing, what would you tell them?

I would thank them deciding to pursue music and for finding eachother to make it together, because I honestly could not imagine being in this deep with kpop without them.

10. Which A.C.E member would die first in a horror movie?

Junhee definitely, bless him.. Donghun would last the longest out of spite, but if the rest of them are gone he’d give up

1. why did you choose your url?

for almost a year i had the url ‘joonshine’ but i kind of drifted from bts and wanted something related to got7 and my bias bambam. but i also didn’t wanna lose ‘the brand’ so to speak, so i merged it into bamshine lol

just one! well, okay, one active one, anyway. i have a couple others that haven’t been updated in years, so I don’t really count them. the active one is @foggynightsandchristmaslights and well...i think the url gives it away lol. it’s an autumn/winter aesthetic blog. i’ve had it for several years and it’s doing quite well lol.

uuuuh. ten years, i think? too long lmfao.

no i don’t. tbh setting up a queue has always confused me a bit so i’ve never bothered making one.

it was to keep up with info about a book series i liked, and to participate in the fandom lol. my how far we have come.

AJDLKFADFAS my header is ALSO wonho lmfao. but that changed recently. if you’d tagged me a couple weeks ago, it would have been a gif header of Youngjae (courtesy of kathia) from the studio choom Thursday performance. He was really cute in it, idk, it deserved to be my header and Kathia was amazing and made it for me.

Late-ish New Years post but i wanted to write this out to make it real to myself.

Before we get into the personal stuff, i do want to thank @bamshine, @profoundnonsense, and @jjinyounf for tagging me in their follow forevers and new years post. It has been wonderful meeting y’all thru the ahgase server! I wasn’t expecting to be included in any lists but was happily surprised to see that i was! 

Now, we are 6 days into the year and i’ve had a lot of time to think and look back on 2020.

2020 was a hard year. It was a very weird year cause I gained as much as i lost. I got my first adult job, that I loved, working with kids. I graduated college against all circumstances. I started looking into more creative outlets. I found solace and community in music that I enjoyed. @gyeomjaes and I have gotten closer, if that’s even possible. I hung out with my best friends more than I ever have in years. But i was at the lowest i have ever been and was barely making it. I had also cut off a lot of people bc my mental health was suffering. I lost the job I loved because of COVID. I also became stuck and stagnant because I allowed myself to and circumstances weren’t favorable.

But looking back on all of this I am so glad that 2020 happened bc I don’t want to feel like this anymore. I needed to stop blaming the number and start doing something. I needed to make something happen for myself. 

So the plan for 2021 is going back to school in the August. I am getting back into the gym. I also working toward getting better mentally. Just moving forward and figuring it all out. 

After 2020, i feel like everyone deserves a chance to move forward and I hope everyone finds a way to. Happy New Years everyone! Here’s to another year!
