Chobani Innovation
Chobani is on the innovation train again! In recent news, they have made it known that they are trying to implement a diversification strategy and to enter into new markets other than the one they have built a 1 billion dollar business on which is Greek yogurt. What I found in the article above is Chobani is taking a cautious approach to break into more food and beverage categories as the New York-based company prioritizes innovation in core product lines where it has a strong market presence. The main markets that they want to further expand into are oat milk, cold brewed coffee, probiotic beverages, and coffee creamers. Some examples of their oat milk options can be seen below.
So what exactly does it mean when a company is looking to diversify? After doing some additional research I found using the link below explained that diversification is a growth strategy that involves
entering new product or service markets that are distinct from the company's existing offerings. This strategy is often pursued to reduce risk by spreading investments across multiple product lines or markets, as well as to capitalize on new opportunities for growth. Chobani is smart in trying to implement this strategy because they are trying to reduce risk and become aware of the fact that at some point their main selling product Greek yogurt will take a dip and that they want to have other options. In other words, they do not want to put all of their eggs in one basket and want to have many baskets with some of their eggs in each one.
Question: What motivated the decision to expand your product offerings beyond Greek yogurt, and how do you ensure that new products align with your brand values and meet consumer demand?

website design software
How will you like to create $100âČ s or even $1,000 â s of additional income eachmonthwithyour personal eCommerce website? Itâ s totally achievable as well as there â s numerous folks performing it every day.
Withonline retail sales enhancing every year, right now is actually the best opportunity to begin your personal eCommerce website. Online retail sales enhanced about 15.7% in 2014 when compared to the previous year while total retail purchases just developed by 4.4%. What performs this indicate? An increasing number of people are purchasing from their residence or cell phone instead of driving to the outlet.
Starting an website design software https://webmakerareus.com could sound like a large endeavor, yet itâ s not as hard as you may believe. In this short article Iâ ll shine some light on the steps necessary to begin your own eCommerce website today and also provide you the resources you need to start. All you require is actually dedication, perseverance, and the determination to discover.
Step 1 â Deciding On a Field as well as Item
For some, this is the hardest action of the procedure and also can trigger a bunchof problems. Choosing the ideal product to sell online may have a large effect on regardless if your eCommerce website achieves success. Yet along withnumerous various products available, exactly how perform you know whichones to sell?
Here are actually a couple of things to consider when selecting a market and product.
Price
How considerably performs the product expense? If itâ s as well low it will definitely be actually testing to connect witha positive ROI. If itâ s excessive($ 1,000+) thereâ s a great chance customers are going to would like to talk witha person over the phone or even withlive conversation prior to acquiring. This added customer help calls for included money and time but can easily spend for itself 10 opportunities over. Several have actually discovered the $100 to $200 cost selection to become the delightful spot for internet sales due to the fact that the majority of folks fit placing an online order in this particular array.
Margin
Whatâ s your cut on every sale? Lots of products marketed online have a scope around 30-35% having said that this may transform dramatically relying on the market. For instance, electronics normally have thinner frames while phone extras are often marked up 200%+. Before deciding on a product, are sure you know the margins. Oftentimes this demands talking to the supplier directly or registering witha rep (extra on this in step 2).
Local Supply
Can you purchase this item in your area? Typically communicating itâ s mucheasier to steer purchases online when the product can easilyâ t be acquired in local shops. Why? Basic, if they canâ t get it regionally then they must browse the web to buy. This is among the explanations I just recently released a website that offers 3D printers internet since 3D color printers sanctuaryâ t very created their method to traditional establishments.
Shipping Measurements
How huge (and massive) is actually the product? Greater and also bigger items often tend to possess highfreight costs whichmay detrimentally affect purchases. Most consumers certainly not only yearn for free shipping, they anticipate it. Because of this it can be toughto offer a product along witha sizable freight expense. Lots of internet retailers fight this throughincluding the price of shipping into the price tag while raising the price and offering â totally free shipping. â Nonetheless, these rises in rate can minimize sales. Try to find items that are actually muchsmaller as well as put onâ t need pricey delivery prices.
Passion
How curious are you within this business? This last one is commonly neglected yet is commonly a strong indication of excellence. Starting and also expanding an eCommerce website normally possesses a collection of barriers and frustrations. Enthusiasm for your industry could be an excellent resource of inspiration to press throughchallenges that develop. What are your interests? What do you take pleasure in doing for enjoyable? You like gardening? Wonderful! Explore beginning an eCommerce website that markets gardening tools and planters.
Step 2 â Seeking Produces withGreat Products
Now that youâ ve pinpointed whichitems you intend to sell itâ s opportunity to determine that the produces are. There are actually a handful of various methods of locating manufacturers that can easily save a ton of opportunity.
Google Buying
Google Shopping is actually an effective searchengine that just looks physical products sold online. It likewise has some excellent details on who the re-sellers are (great for scoping out competition) however a lot more importantly who the suppliers are actually. Merely enter your item into Google Shopping and pay attention to whichproducers appear under the â Brand name â area.
Directories
There are many on-line directories of suppliers that produce it easy to locate suppliers. Some listings are muchbetter than others, yet there are actually two that are worthchecking out.
Worldwide Brands â- Countless dealers as well as over 10 thousand items ($ 299 registration charge)
Wholesale Central â- 1,400 items and also over 700,000 products (Free)
Once youâ ve built a listing of manufactures the next measure is to start connecting in hopes of reselling their products. Not all suppliers are going to would like to collaborate withsomebody that is simply starting due to the fact that they donâ t have any kind of track record of purchases. Beginning withthe producers and also distributors who have the least overwhelming application and also demands. Lots of bigger producers are going to wishto know that youâ re teaming up withto begin with, therefore utilize the connections of muchsmaller providers to get bigger distributors aboard.
Note: Several manufacturers will seek an Income tax ID number or Resale Certification variety. Check withyour local metropolitan area and also condition to discover what licenses and enables you require to sell tangible goods.
Step 3 â- Setting up the Website
So youâ ve picked your items and also found a handful of producers to deal with, what next? Acquire the website up and managing.
Now some people reviewing this might wonder why anyone would speak to manufactures before even possessing a website. The factor being actually is actually that itâ s more difficult to obtain creates aboard when the website is unfilled without products versus having a website launchin the future. That claimed, it can still be a great tip to develop an easy â Coming Very soon â webpage.
Choosing an eCommerce System (also known as â eCommerce Cart â-RRB-
The eCommerce platform handles all the items, classifications, checkout procedure, and also other facets involved withan operational eCommerce website. There are lots of eCommerce systems on call, a lot of whichpossess relatively the very same functionality and also functions. Opting for a system could be a huge put up for a considerable amount of business owners. I advise taking the â Ready, Fire, Objective â frame of mind and just get one thing up and also running now rather than devoting hours as well as hours investigating and also examining different platforms.
Iâ ve worked withseveral eCommerce platforms over times and also have found two that are eachstrong along withremarkably user-friendly.
Shopify (Starting at $14/mo) â- Shopify has performed whatever they can easily to make putting together as well as running an eCommerce website as very easy as feasible. They take care of all the organizing, protection, as well as credit card handling to offer shopkeeper even more time to pay attention to advertising their website. Nevertheless this additionally means that web designers are rather confined when it pertains to changing exactly how the website features and also looks. To battle this, Shopify possesses a large variety of website templates and also applications. While there are free of cost applications available, several have a linked month-to-monthcost whichmay add up rapidly.
OpenCart (Free) â- OpenCart is actually a really powerful and simple to use system witha lengthy listing of attributes. Unlike Shopify, OpenCart is open source definition webmasters possess the capability to produce any type of modifications to the design or performance of the website. However, this likewise means that throwing and website security will require to become arrangement by hand. OpenCart likewise has lots of pre-programmed â extensions â that allow consumers to conveniently tailor the website without employing a developer. Several expansions are actually complimentary while others possess an one-time cost between $10 and $50.
Get a Logo for Low-cost â- A company logo is actually an essential component for any kind of advertising as well as advertising attempts. Once more, working withan expert visuals professional is most likely certainly not the least expensive route. Instead, take a look at 99Designs ($ 299+) and 19 Buck Company Logos ($ 19+). 99Designs is actually a crowd sourced design platform where lots of developers provide their logo design website design software and just the one you like best gets paid. The premium is actually great especially when you provide detailed directions about what youâ re seeking. 19 Buck Logos however is muchcheaper however only possesses a few principles and revisions. Donâ t be misleaded due to the price as well as awful website, these individuals do magnum opus for $19. The premium isnâ t nearly like 99Designs but itâ s a sturdy answer for those on a budget.

Quick about me: I make a living as a copywriter. I do pretty well. I set my own schedule and make plenty for my family and I to live comfortably (wife and 1 year old daughter). My whole schtick is targeting rational audiences with copy that is logically compelling. I want people to act in their best interest. No manipulative bullshit. I've been able to generate fantastic results for my clients, so this somewhat contrarian approach seems to be working.Yesterday I replied to the thread asking what everyone does and mentioned that I was a copywriter. I got a ton of DMs asking for information about learning how to do this. When the first one came in, I was about to start writing an article for a site I'm working on where I hope to help people write better copy. In my head I've always been more focused on helping other entrepreneurs, but there is no reason the advice couldn't help people become copywriters.Since I needed inspiration for the article anyway, I went ahead and wrote one answering that first person's question. By the time I logged on reddit last night, there were a bunch more people asking the same thing. And today I had great feedback, including someone telling me to post it here. So here goes...How To Become a Copywriter, Even If You Are Starting With No ExperienceCopywriting can be an incredibly rewarding career.I mean, the list of pros are pretty damn great:You set your own scheduleYou can work from anywhere that you wantThe upside earnings potential is in the millions (for truly top-level talent)Donât get me wrong, itâs not all sunshine and rainbows.Youâll have to put in a lot of work before you earn a decent income. In the absence of a boss telling you what to do, basic tasks can feel overwhelming and hard to get done. And setting your own schedule isnât the same as working 4 hours a week and still making a living. But again, the long-term upsides are fantastic if you can get past the initial hurdles.Iâm assuming thatâs why âhow can I do that too?â is the most common response when I tell people what I do.So hereâs the dealâŠIf youâre going to do this, I want you to do it well. The world doesnât need any more half-assed writers churning out content because they think itâs their ticket to working by the beach in Thailand while sipping frozen drinks and lounging in a hammock. There are dozens of other guides out there that will teach you how to get low-paying writing jobs with no experience at all. Theyâll make it abundantly clear that you can start with absolutely no writing skills, and then remind you of the future riches you may earn. You can follow their advice, but youâll get stuck in the rat race. Thousands of other people are reading those same articles that all rehash the same tips and tricks. They then flood âfreelancer sitesâ like Upwork and Guru and Fiver, wondering why theyâre stuck toiling away with extremely low-paying jobs.So instead of teaching you the quickest way to make money by telling people you are a copywriter, I want to show you how to actually become a good copywriter.Thereâs a big difference.First things firstâŠWhat the hell is a copywriter, anyway?I suppose the simplest answer is just someone who writes copy. But that begs the question, what exactly is copy?If you look around the internet, almost everyone defines sales copy as the writing used to influence someone to make a sale. Theyâll then dish out overused tips to write âridiculously persuasiveâ copy. This view is too narrow. Writing great copy is more than just knowing how to write a persuasive sales page. Itâs more than creating a compelling VSL. Iâve given this a lot of thought, and hereâs a definition Iâm comfortable with:Good copy is the written implementation of a businessâs marketing and branding strategy. But whatâs the difference between good and bad copy?Hereâs another area where I disagree with the definitions used by many people. Most people care about ONE thing: did it convert? Are my sales higher, now?I personally think there are THREE important components of good copy. It should be:ProfitableHonestSustainableYes, it does need to convert. Thatâs why I listed profitable up top. But I also think it should be honest and sustainable. Honesty is something you wonât find mentioned much when discussing copywriting, but I consider it a cornerstone of what I offer.Thereâs just way too much bullshit in the world. You can lie, trick, and deceive people to make money if you want. You can even generate massive returns in the process. But Iâd personally feel like shit doing it.AND you can make just as much money, if not more, by being honest. This leads directly into the third criteria, sustainability.Your typical copywriter is entirely focused on making money in the present. They rely on what people call a âsalesyâ approach. It works for their goal of short-term cashflow, but itâs also unappealing to the majority of people who read it.The result is that you slowly lose (or simply donât gain) authority and trust. While these approaches may generate great returns at the beginning, they also âcoolâ the majority of your market. You may quickly capture a few percent of your potential customers, but you also lose the other 98% in the process. Call me crazy, but I think copy should both sell now and set the business up for future success. This isnât too much to ask. It takes more work. It takes more time. But itâs doable, and the result is a sustainable business with fans, not just customers. Now that all this is out of the way, letâs get back to the question that started this section. But letâs add a small but important wordâŠWhat the hell is a good copywriter, anyway?A good copywriter is one part writer and one part marketer.Youâll need to develop the skills of both if you want to be effective. Youâve probably seen people say that you donât need writing skills to be a copywriter.Or you may feel that you are destined to be a great copywriter because you are a good writer.Neither one of these views is correct. While you donât need the best technical skills (grammar, punctuation, etc..), you still need to be good at capturing an idea with words. The better you can do this, the more successful you will be. But being a great writer doesnât mean youâll be a great copywriter either. You need to back those skills up with an equally impressive set of marketing abilities.Even though Iâm technically a copywriter, I have helped many businesses formulate their entire marketing strategy. But I donât have these skills. How do I get them?If you donât have these skills yet, I wouldnât be worried at all. Most people who are practicing copywriters donât even have these skills!I recommend that you begin by devouring information relating to these topics. There are a handful of books dedicated to copywriting that are a good place to start.Keep in mind, you donât have to agree with someone to learn from them. Many of the books that I have read on these topics have information that I disagree with, but itâs still useful for understanding what other people are doing. Some good general copywriting books are:The Boron Letters by Gary HalbertThe Copywriterâs Handbook by Bob BlyThe Adweek Copywriting Handbook by Joseph SugarmanSome good marketing and ad books include:Scientific AdvertisingOgilvy on Advertising by David OgilvyInfluence: The Psychology of Persuasion by Robert CialdiniOn top of this, I also recommend that you start reading philosophy.I majored in philosophy in college, and it has honestly contributed more to my success as a copywriter than anything else that Iâve done.I developed a keen understanding of the power of words and the importance of word choice, but I also learned how to structure arguments in a logical and rationally compelling way. This has been invaluable. Finally, you can also read all the articles I post here on this site. Iâll be working hard to publish new content weekly, and it will all be geared towards teaching people how to write better copy and market more strategically. If you agree with my anti-bullshit stance, you may find what I have to say worth reading. As you consume all this information, take notes and put what you learn into practice.I practice by critiquing almost every ad and piece of copy that I see, much to the dismay of some of my family members. When you begin to pay attention, you will find that we are literally bombarded with advertisements. The opportunities to practice are endless. When an ad captures your attention, think about what strategy being used to sell the product or service. How could this have been done better? When you read a webpage, pay attention to the feelings and desires that it evokes. Look at the copy and try to find the strategy behind their words. Do you think they have been effective? Would you have done things differently? And when you find great copy, capture it and keep it in a âswipe fileâ to return to later. Take pictures, screen shots⊠whatever you need to do.Getting ClientsI think the biggest problem with most âhow to become a copywriterâ guides is that they simply tell you how to get your first client. If you take anything away from this, let it be this:If you want to be successful, you need to treat copywriting as a business. In other words, you need a plan that covers the following:What is your value proposition? Are you going to target a specific niche? What about a specific type of copy? How will you get the attention of potential clients? How will you make them aware of the value that you provide? What can you show them to make them trust your claims? How will you complete the sale? How will you grow? This doesnât have to be sophisticated. Before launching this website, I ran the majority of my business through email.I donât even have any personal social media accounts.I simply send emails to businesses with bad copy. I provide outstanding service, then ask for referrals after a job well done. I use samples and social proof to gain their initial trust, and all invoicing is done through Paypal.Iâm still using this system, with an added layer of the website on top.And right now youâre probably thinking, Yea, but what about Client 0!?I get it.Getting your first client sounds daunting. But you can literally do this through cold emails.Your odds of success are dramatically increased if you can prove your abilities though.Itâs this catch-22 that trips so many people up. You need experience to get jobs, but you need jobs to get experience.Businesses donât want to hire people who donât have any experience. There is too much risk. But you know what there are a lot of in this world: businesses that are starting with âbootstrappedâ budgets. People who have great ideas, but no money to launch big.If I were starting out all over again, these are the people I would target. And Iâd work for free.I can feel the future shudder of the people who read that last line. It goes against almost all the business advice youâve probably heard.Never work for free.People will only respect you if you charge them money. And on and on and on.Hereâs the deal. You can go ahead and waste hours and hours on Upwork. Apply to low-paying jobs for businesses that are trying to pay as little as possible. The vast majority of your proposals will be rejected. Worst of all, your reputation is publically on the line and you have to deliver, no matter how difficult the clients you get are.But if youâre smart, youâd be spending that time sending emails instead of proposals. Most people starting businesses are desperate for help. They just donât have the money to hire people. Be friendly. Explain your situation. Offer to write their copy if you can use it as a portfolio piece. There are plenty of forums online dedicated to startups and entrepreneurs. Go there.Look for people starting businesses that sound like a good idea. Tell them what you like about what they are doing and why you are willing to help for free. You may even be getting in on the ground floor of a successful future business. And odds are, these clients will come back to you with paid work once they are making money. And if they turn out to be assholes, you can just quit working for them.So letâs recap. The competition is lower. The people are more grateful. They can relate to your position because they are also struggling for recognition (which you will help them with). Youâll get portfolio pieces AND future clients.Doesnât this sound better than spending all day writing proposals to job posts that probably wonât be answered? That's the majority of the article. You can also find it here: http://ift.tt/2lzCwkS is the first time I'm linking to my site publically, so go easy on me!
