Im glad im not the only one who dislikes the new main trio. Like, i love every single one of them, but i feel like they just don't work together?? Idk their interactions are kinda off, i can't get invested. I miss the original trio, their friendship was one of my favorite things of the series

sry i didnt respond sooner but yeah!! i really really enjoy exploring bakugou, todoroki, and midoriya’s characters individually, but when you place them together i feel like everything falls apart. i know the point of their incongruity is to work towards a future in which they learn proper teamwork and trust but ?? wheres the fun if they’re constantly butting heads. i REALLY enjoyed the dynamic between the og big three (nejire, mirio, and tamaki), because they’ve built their relationship on mutual respect and support. they’ve been able to rise to the top because they’re so in-tuned to how one another is feeling, thinking, doing, that they work seamlessly together. they push and inspire each other to work harder and it’s a rly good set up they have going !!

but instead i feel like our main three is kinda just there because they have “strongest” quirks and the most competitive spirit. which i mean. it’s not terrible, but it’s kind of bland imo. i can understand having a focus on the “top” 3, but that doesn’t necessarily mean it has to replace the original trio. like you said, i really value the friendship between ochaco, midoriya, and iida, and that was partly why midoriya’s relationship to iida through stain and kamino has been SO interesting. plus, i feel like ochaco’s character growth has been indefinitely shelved because of her redefined role as the love interest, and i really miss her. having her back in the original trio would allow her involvement to increase soo much. plus like. their personalities are so interesting and i love the way they interact and work together aa when was the last time we had a genuine interaction between iida and ochaco ;_;
