i really want to say something intelligent in regards to Megatron deciding he’s happy on the Lost Light and then getting pissed when Tarn and the DJD show up to take that away from him, because all i’ve got is like. what did you expect dude? You literally turned those guys into an infamous violently murder traitors squad! And you by definition are a traitor to your own cause! Literally the consequences of your own actions which you never actually take accountability for because you’re not right in the middle of things defusing a fucked up cult of personality and helping curb the violent tendencies you’ve cultivated in your followers for four million years. Yknow, fixing your mistakes, like a person is supposed to do when they screw up.

All Megatron has done in the name of accountability is not fight his execution order except to delay it so he can attempt to assuage his guilt by chasing some mythical thing that might not even exist, and that’s at least partially to spite Starscream for calling him a loser. Like Rodimus says earlier in mtmte, dying is the coward’s way out and being willing to die is basically the only thing Megatron’s done so far.
