Talked to my sister who's a big MLP fan and was inspired to do these really quick designs for Luna and Celestia, just for fun.

1. Your favorite season and why

toss up between spring and summer honestly, i love being warm and hot and feeling the sun on my skin but while summer was my favorite in mn, spring in oregon is SUPER pretty and nice!! sakura babeeeyy

2. You get a chance to meet a celebrity. Who would they be? What would you do together?

fuck man uhhhhh can ono daisuke count cause i just wanna chat with him he seems like such a fun dude kfmwme

3. What's your dream job, if you have one?

Mangaka, character designer, or voice actor. Goin to school for character design tho so that's probably what'll win out.

4. Do you have any regrets?

bruh right now i regret visiting my family... i wanna be home playin animal crossing all cozy but now my flight is delayed for another daaayyy

5. Who's your favorite artist?

uhhhhhhh i'm not sure if i have one in particular, but @ all of the animators at bones i love you so much muah

6. If you could live in another place, which one would you choose?

copenhagen! or tokyo! one of those two there's no in between.

7. Your favorite school subject and what you like the most about it

uhhh obviously art (in high school it was specifically printmaking) but a more classic subject was language arts, i was way above my grade level with reading and i always loved english teachers so much

8. Do you have a hobby?

many! obviously i draw (tho that's sort of an academic/career thing at this point), but i also collect things (anime merch, stuffed animals, mlp toys, ramune bottles, etc), and i cosplay, and when it's nice outside i bike!

9. How are you spending these days?

wishing i was at hooome, just sorta reading manga and watching tv and taking a lot of showers and wasting away in my bed UGH

10. Are you happy?

eh, aside from the major waves of stress that come from thinking about my school tuition payments, sure, i'm alright. would be happier playing animal crossing tho.

11. A random fact

i'm reading the hanako-kun manga rn and it's like one of the only manga ive ever read and will probably be the second ive ever finished/caught up with because adhd makes it hard to read things 😔

Do you have any headcanons for the MLP Movie characters? (p.s.: Just found your blog and I love your art already, it's just great)

Thank you! :3 As for your question, I have a few headcanons for some of the characters, but I honestly hadn’t put too much thought into them as of yet aside from Tempest. So here’s some small ones until I get a bit more elaborate ideas to share:

-Tempest Shadow has horrid scars across both of her flanks, hiding away what was once her cutie mark. These wounds were self-inflicted: Tempest hated her cutie mark after the incident that left her without a horn, and at some point she had the idea that she should just... get rid of it. So she took to whatever she could get a hold up, and cut and cut and cut until she could no longer see the cutie mark under the lacerations.

Now, she’s afraid of showing what she’s done during one of her hardest moments in life, and always wears something to cover the scars on her flanks. This is typically armor or a cloak.

-I’m personally not too into the idea of how the sea ponies came to be in the movie so I’m ignoring that for my own headcanon. I’m not mentioning what it is here just in case of spoilers; the movie’s been out for a while, sure, but still.

-Capper’s species is a Crystal Cat! They’re a lot like Diamond Dogs, but are feline instead. I have special headcanon for Diamond Dogs and Crystal Cats, of which you can read HERE. Given his smooth-talking skills and adaptability to any given situation, I’m considering either making him an undercover spy for Equestria or he begins his own shop, where he and Rarity collaborate sometimes. 

- Celaeno’s species in my headcanon are called Harpies. I’m also probably gonna add wings to them too that they probably can’t fly with, but they can glide with them. Ooooor I’ll just leave that to Gargoyles and say Harpies can indeed fly, we’ll see! Not too sure what Calaeno and her crew would do, exactly. I’ll get back to you on that.

-The Storm King was a much bigger threat than what was said in the movie. I’m think he may have been the face of a brewing world war or somethin’, something where he was causing trouble for a few years before he was eventually dealt with in the movie, but I’ll need to think on that too before I launch into headcanon ramblings. o3o

In so many! Bronies are so scared of being labeled pedophiles that in multiple occasions the ones running sections of the community have hidden and protected actual pedophiles and they fail to learn their lesson every time.

Whenever a humanoid fanart gained traction where any character that wasn't Applejack had a slightly darker skin, racist would get free way to bitch, complain and spread their racism all over the art piece, but... you know... Love and tolerate. So you can't cast them away, or they'll victim blame and cast you away.

Tons of fan takes and theories are just shit. Like, with zero basis in the show. Like Twilight being socially awkward and Pinkie Pie being annoying pre-flanderization. I was guilty of this too. Trying to make sense to the world, I came up with crazy shit. Which would not be a problem if it weren't for the fact that bronies are crazy defensive towards their theories. It's not just fun for them, it has to be that deep and complex because:

Bronies are fucking insecure about their own taste. They want to feel justified in liking this little girl's show so badly they'll do mental gymnastics to deflect anything that would make some made up entity judge their maturity, masculinity, sexuality, mental health, and whatnot; to the point they would rather see the show they like get worse than to just accept that they like a cute, happy, innocent, friendly, funny show about tiny, magical, talking equines.

Bronies might indirectly have made the show worse. So, season 1 and 2 are mostly slice of life with little lasting impact in the overall show. Some stuff from previous episodes might show up again later, but nothing world changing. Sometimes we would get a glance of the lore, sometimes stories would be more epic and adventurous. But those were more treats than the main focus of the show. This show was about these 6+1 characters interacting and learning about interpersonal relationships. But when hasbro learned that there was an entire unintentional group with disposable income also watching, they started to pay attention to what they wanted to see more in the show. So they started to demand the production team to make more epic episodes, more lore, more adventures, more villains, more cool™ characters, more redemptions, more songs. And the team just wasn't capable of handling that. They ran out of ideas by season 4. They still made some jewels, but there were more misses than hits. This stuff is the reason the one bad guy that isn't redeemed after the fandom got bored of whiplash turnarounds is a literal child and there's a suicide episode.

Bronies are the reason Equestria Girls exists. Which is awesome, because Sunset Shimmer and Rainbow Rocks; and it's actually quite fine. But getting there was a shit show the whole way through. At every point, bronies were mad because Equestria Girls was gonna ruin the lore, the continuity or something else they cared way too much. And also, before the second movie came out, it was impossible to even mention EG without someone whining about how no want wanted this, despite the fact that hasbro rolled with it because they assumed we would like it based on how much humanized fanart is out there. Sure, compiting with Monster High was probably a huge factor as well, but they made it this big movie series because the fanart said we'd like it. Otherwise they would've probably just make some shorts or a little promotional series, not seven or so movies.

When MLP stopped being my hyperfixation, I rapidly stood aside for so many parts of the fandom that I eventually ended up forgetting which artists I followed were bronies too because, just like me, they moved on.

I guess I'm still a brony in some regard. The symbol I made that I have stamped everywhere (the sun/cressent moon eclipse), I design it originally as a cutie mark. Which, according to the lore™ of the show, is an abstract representation of myself and I did it with that in mind. Which is why I never changed it. I still feel like I hit the mark (or rather the cutie mark?! ) with it. But being a brony is just not my defining characteristic. I had my fun, I learned a lot about myself and proper social media behavior... And I don't know... Maybe one day I'll visit the show again. I still remember it fondly and I'm willing to talk about it with a mutual and remember the good times. But I just won't engage with bronies in a brony only space anymore. I don't belong there anymore.

Looking back at it, I sort of find it amusing. I think when I befriended you, I started to become slightly more social with others and had a bit more friends? I only had one friend and if I haven’t met you, then holy shit where would I be now? You’re funny, a huge sweetheart to me, and I enjoy your company so much! I wish I can see you every day in school again but ey, I do hope you’re doing well and I love you! @nikolas-is-gay - BROTHER!! Nikolas is my sweet n satanic baby brother!! I love him so much and I’m so glad we started talking! Has a great humor, I adore his OC’s, and his creativity! We hurt each other on a daily basis by talking about angst about our OC’s and we love it. Honestly, I don’t know what I would do without him, he’s there to cheer me up whenever I’m feeling down and the things he says always seem to make me laugh and/or smile.
