This might sound weird but, am I the only person who thinks the P3 Personas look less like a human in a costume and more like a supernatural entity than the ones from 2, 4, and 5? Penthesilea, Hypnos, and Ceasar especially hit a level of uncanny valley (That's very clearly not a human but why does it look so human) that I don't think other personas have reached yet.
Honestly I get exactly what you mean! I've personally felt that a lot the Persona 3 Personas, particularly the initial ones, feel less human and more robotic in design (supernatural entity is a pretty good way of describing it too!). I think the reasoning behind the initial ones being more robotic is because SEES are all very closed off from each other and their own emotions to an extent!
They start off as a club and see each other more as coworkers and also they haven't undergone their character development yet. That's at least why I feel they're different to the other personas in the series because at least for the modern games, they don't have that same friendship dynamic as the other groups do! It could also just have been the art direction for the game given how dreary the game is? There's a point here I just can't quite put my finger on it.
Note on the Strega personas like Hypnos: They def feel weird and strange (even compared to the others in P3) probably because their personas weren't awakened naturally and were very forced!
#asks#latenitewaffles#koopa bro#i get exactly what you mean#probably given the whole atmosphere of p3 the personas themselves feel unnerving#i like it a lot i think its a really solid collection of personas#the closed off from their emotions thing is extremely prevelant in mitsuru and aigis's personas i feel#because they have that whole closed off emotions theme the strongest if you get me#its a good point though!
