for 2023 I really want to share my original, non-fanfiction writing and see it be successful and maybe start a serial on patreon

but I'm so worried I'm thinking too highly of myself and might look like an over-confident asshole bc there are so many fanfic authors way more popular and "successful" than me

and if my original writing doesn't do well or my characters aren't liked I know I'll take it really, really hard

I really wanna write something for the FFXV fandom but like... I've built a following with ofmd and wwdits fics and now I'm scared to venture away

And almost none of my followers have played or would be interested in ffxv content 🫠 then add to it that what I want to write is a rarepair (promnyx) and I know it'd just be crickets which like.. yes I'd be writing for me but also all authors want kudos and comments, otherwise I'd just let them keep spinning around in my head for only my enjoyment!

I just think the soldier and the sunshine boy (both immigrants to a largely xenophobic nation) should be friends at the very least man, and I've read every fic with them at least 3 times

and then add to all this that what I REALLY should be doing is plotting out and setting up my original content to start writing and updating every week. i DO wanna write Caius but hhhggg&ghgggghghjn I need someone to encourage me with this project and I just have

All my fandom friends are kinda gone doing their own things and I am too but now idk who to turn for for reassurance and shit

I'm gonna be honest, I haven't finished it yet but the only book I've read this year is Reforged by @sethhaddonauthor - on Chapter 9 and it's absolutely fantastic and I can't recommend it enough!
