working on a disney's gummi bears fanfic! So here are some doodles that will be apart if it! Hope u like it!!

yes I'm still working on haunted mansion stuff, but gummi bears is also a very important part of my life! You see I grew up in a religious house and i wasn't allowed to watch modern cartoons. And though I was born in the early 2000s I was raised on 80s & 90s cartoons! Like Eek the cat, gummi bears, darkwing duck, tail spin, ect! This made it really hard to bond with other kids my whole life! Cuz kids of this age wasn't watching shows that played in the time of there parents much! But as sad as it sounds these bears where my only friends along with other characters, for the longest time! Call it mental illness, but I'd also agree with u im very mentally I'll! Lol anyway this is Rubi gummi yes she has my name and a bit of my features, but she not me! She has her own life & story! So stick around for more I hope you'll enjoy the adventure!!! 🤙🤩💕✨️

Hi, this ask is your excuse to talk about, Helios the Daystalker

Oh boy I have a bit to say about Daystalker. I finalised his design during the September bird challenge last year, but he's existed for longer than that, and has come leaps and bounds in how he's developed as a character. Bro went from an asshole antagonist character to Demigod Dad who aids protagonists from time to time depending on the AU.

As I've said before, Daystalker is a Dawnrunner, a fan-species created by @grimm-the-6th/@ashe-alter. Think of them as the anti-nightcrawlers of Atmos, they thrive in the sunlight, their weapons are often fitted with raystones (sol crystals but sharp), they are a bitch and a half to kill and they terrify me. Thank you for letting me include them in my lore, Grimm.

I detailed a lot of his abilities in this post here, so if anyone's interested in that, check it out.

He's also able to pass on these abilities to his adoptive children and his Disciples. A Disciple is what happens when a Champion forms a contract of sorts with a mortal, akin to the pact D&D warlocks make with their patrons. Daystalker is quite particular about who he appoints as his Disicples, usually they're children of his who've reached adulthood and wish to remain part of the pride with himself and Honeytongue, though it must be earned.

A small quirk of being a Disciple of Daystalker specifically is that in forming a contract, the person becomes a Dawnrunner if they aren't one already, taking on hybrid traits in combination with whatever species they already were. Horns and a tail are always a guarantee.

I love looking back on this guy's development from a writer's perspective. When I first came up with him, he was an asshole. Saw other races as unworthy of his presence, lived for the glory of the hunt and nothing more, hated Syphons (a mage variant that is yet another lore piece Grimm has let me steal), and started off as a major antagonist in my "season 4" of Storm Hawks which takes place after the Hawks get back from the Far Side by accidentally blowing up the Barrier Cliffs and letting loose the apocalypse for Apocalypse 2: Electric Boogaloo. He was meant to try hunting down the team for causing trouble for another Champion and beat the living daylights out of Arygyn for getting in his way.

Now he is a Dad. A potential ally for the Storm Hawks on the Far Side who is constantly at risk of adopting any lost child he comes across on hunts. I love him so much more, even if he would've been fun to keep as a monstrous villain. And all this because when I was designing Cynniris, an Aquinoan-born Syphon, I decided he adopted her because he wasn't keen on hurting children because they weren't as satisfying a hunt. At the same time, Grimm was working more and more on Dawnrunner family dynamics, which I was incorporating into my existing Dawnrunner characters. Now we're here :3

Emma enters Sunny Patch

“Emma!”

At her sister’s voice, Emma turned to see Sora flying in her direction.

“You shouldn’t sneak out this late,” Sora chided her younger sister. “Now, c'mon. Let’s go home.”

Now, when Sora used that firm tone of voice, Emma knew it was time to fold. “Okay, geez.” She prepared to take flight... but stopped upon seeing her sister’s eyes widen. Sora looked horrified.

“What?”

“Emma, get away from there, now!”

The sound of movement from behind the younger dragonfly grabbed Emma’s attention. She turned around, and found herself face-to-face with the biggest spider she had ever seen. Almost instinctively, she let out the loudest roar she could muster.

However, the gray spider responded by snatching her off the stump. Emma stopped mid-roar, shocked that it didn’t work this time.

“Trying to drive me off?” The spider spoke. “That’s plucky.”

So saying, she produced a sack woven from off-yellow silk. Emma began struggling furiously, trying to break free. “Lemme go!”

Her cries were muffled when the spider stuffed the dragonfly into her sack, tying it shut with more webbing.

“Let me out!” Emma squirmed in the confined space, but there was no getting out of the sack. “Sora, help!”

Sora saw red then. “You let my sister go!” she shouted, darting towards the spider. The arachnid took notice.

Almost immediately, the older dragonfly was swatted away with a blow from one of the spider’s legs. Emma heard a plop from the nearby puddle, followed by the spider saying “Consider yourself lucky; I only need one dragonfly for the pot.”

She felt herself being picked up and slung over the spider’s shoulder. Kicking and punching, Emma was carried further and further away from her home.

Every now and then she shouted for help, but got only a rough jostle of the sack in reply. Her wings ached from being crammed roughly into her prison.

After what seemed like forever, there was a shriek from far above --- the cry of a bird. Her captor stopped.

There was a sudden swoosh, and the spider cried out in alarm. The bird had swooped down on them.

The sack containing Emma was dropped onto the ground, and she heard the retreating footsteps of her bugnapper. She lay there on her side for a few seconds, then tried to pull the mouth of the sack open, but it was no use. The sack was too tightly tied.

Scared and exhausted, Emma curled up in the sack, hugging her rear legs. Where was she? Was she going to be okay? She closed her eyes sadly, wishing she had been more patient and never left home.

“There it goes!”

The berry-ball flew into the tall grass as the four little bugs watched in awe.

“¡Ay Caramba!” Bounce commented.

“Wow,” Dragon remarked, turning to look at Shimmer. “That was a really good kick!”

As Shimmer beamed proudly at that compliment, Squirt said “C’mon, let’s go get it!”

The kids entered the grass where the ball had fallen. After some searching, Dragon, hovering above Squirt, spotted it. “There it is!”

“Where?” asked the young spider.

“Right next to you!” came the answer. “Go left-” He stopped mid-sentence, noticing something else.

Parting a few blades of grass, Squirt scurried to the ball and picked it up, only to stop when something caught his eye. He looked up.

There, resting in front of him, was a large bag woven with shiny, yellowish spidersilk.

“What is that?” Dragon asked, hovering above his adoptive brother and their find.

“I don’t-” Squirt began, putting one of his forelimbs on it.

Suddenly, at Squirt’s touch, the sack jerked, alongside a muffled squeak from inside it, prompting a startled yell from the spiderling.

Bounce and Shimmer emerged into the clearing. “What is it?” the jewel beetle asked. Upon seeing the moving bag, she gasped, the heat sensors in her legs detecting warmth within.

“Something’s alive in there!” Squirt moved to untie the sack. Once the bag came open, out popped its prisoner, and Dragon’s mouth fell open in shock.

The girl dragonfly shook her head and took a deep breath, glad to be finally free of the sack... but then, as she stood up and stretched, her eyes fell on Squirt.

For a moment, there was silence. Then, the unknown dragonfly’s wings snapped up, and she let out a loud yell.

The startled kids all let out shouts of their own, as the girl took flight, heading towards the nearest blueberry bush.

“Dude, who is that?!” Dragon exclaimed. “She just roared at you!”

“Maybe that’s because she’s scared,” Shimmer said, stunned that somebuggy would stoop so low to treat a kid this way.

“C’mon, guys!” Squirt declared. “We gotta see if she’s okay!”

The others, especially Dragon, didn’t need to be told twice.

Emma huddled in the berry bush, waiting for her heartbeat to slow. She remembered when her father told her of a saying he had heard from one of the humans that managed the garden: ‘Out of the frying pan, and into the fire’. Now she really knew what it meant.

Knowing she had been abandoned in a place with other spiders was bad enough, but the fact that nothing looked familiar was worse. She was just considering her options when...

“Hey!”

Emma raised her head at the voice. Peering through a gap in the leaves, she saw the young spider she had roared at, along with the three other bugs she hadn’t gotten a good look at before. A girl beetle, a little bedbug and---

Was that kid a dragonfly like her? She looked again. He was! And they were all with the spider like they were friends! Either they were very brave or they had no idea how dangerous having a spider for a pal was.

“You don’t have to be scared,” the boy spider called out to her. “It’s okay! We’re friends!”

Emma nervously crept to the opening in the bush. What should she say to these weird kids?

“Lemme try,” the purple boy dragonfly said. He flew up to her and said “What’s your name?”

After a pause, the red dragonfly replied “Emma.”

“Mine’s Snapdragon,” he introduced himself. “But you can just call me Dragon.” He held out one of his forelegs to shake.

Her fear slowly fading, Emma took the limb and shook it. Together, they flitted to the ground, landing in front of the others.

“So,” Emma began, looking at Squirt. “That spider’s not gonna...?”

“Don’t worry,” Squirt reassured. “Our mom taught us to be good to all bugs.”

“Well, thanks for your help,” Emma said. “But I really should get home.” She added more quietly “If I can find home.”

“Where do you live, anyway?” Squirt asked.

“Nijiro Garden,” Emma answered. “You guys know where that is, do you?”

“Nope.” Bounce replied.

“Uh-uh.” Dragon said while Shimmer and Squirt shook their heads no.

“Wh-” Emma looked around. “Where did that spider take me?”

“You were bugnapped?” Bounce questioned.

“Yeah! This big grey lady spider caught me while I was exploring,” Emma explained. “Then this bird came, and she dropped me and ran.” A scary thought came to her. “What if she comes back for me?”

“Whoa, don’t worry about it,” Dragon said reassuringly. “We’re not gonna let her get you. Right, guys?”

Bounce had this big grin on his face, like he just realized something about his best buddy that he approved of. “Right!”

“We should get back to the Hollow Tree and tell mom and dad,” Squirt suggested.

“Yeah,” Shimmer agreed. “They'll help you get home.”

“Thanks,” Emma smiled. “So, where am I, anyway?”

“In Sunny Patch,” Squirt replied. “It’s kinda small, but you’re safe here.”

When I was 12 I hated Sunny so much. Like, The Brightest Night was the reason I stopped reading WoF for a year. And when I finally finished it, I got so mad over Sunny giving Thorn the Eye of Onyx and becoming a princess that in the middle of reading Moon Rising, I imagined my evil sandwing oc infiltraiting Jade Mountain Academy and using animus magic to revert Sunny back into a dragonet and make her forget all her memories. Just because I hated her so much and wanted to cause every character in the story who liked her pain. Anyways, I'm cool with Sunny now.
