Há uma série de requisitos éticos técnicos científicos que têm de ser cumpridos. Por isso. Se vou. Por exemplo. Emitir um parecer sobre a personalidade de uma pessoa. Tenho de realizar uma série de procedimentos de avaliação psicológica empiricamente validados. Selecionados a preceito tendo em conta a sintomatologia e o estado-da-arte. Salvaguardando. Ainda. Os princípios éticos do código deontológico da Ordem dos Psicólogos Portugueses. Quanto a todas as outras áreas e saberes. Da psicologia ou fora dela. Posso dar. Somente. A minha opinião. Por exemplo. Posso ser da opinião que fazer diálise é melhor do que ser transplantado. Mas sei lá sei do que estou a falar. Posso ser da opinião que o meu carro precisa de velas e não de uma bateria. Mas eu lá sei do que estou a falar. Posso ser da opinião que a energia eólica é melhor do que a energia solar. Mas eu lá sei do que estou a falar. Mas. Mesmo assim. Mesmo que seja só uma opinião. Esta pode e deve ser ponderada tendo em conta um dos princípios mais basilares que devia guiar a conduta humana - Primum non nocere. Primum non nocere

Haters, body shamers, critics with a negative undertone.... What makes people so bitter.... Agreed each one is entitled to their opinion....freedom of speech etc...but spewing venom, talking ill and lowly about a person they don't really know and most of all judging a person's character based on some sketchy information ? Time and again we have seen it happen to some national leaders, celebrities, spiritual heads, teachers, peace keepers and common people like us as well! I have often tried to understand what makes people so bitter and vengeanceful....most often it is observed that such people have a problem with themselves which they simply cannot come to terms with...instead of being open about it and seeking help they choose aggression to overcome their insecurities, they derive a vicarious pleasure when they publicly abuse, shame a celebrity, well-known figure and feel that they are way above these people! Can we reason out with such people? Has anyone seen any of these haters, body shamers and abusers tend an apology when a logical explanation is given to them or their mistakes are pointed out to them? They use all their intelligence to twist facts and prove their point vehemently.... It is a free world, all of us are entitled to our opinions but why do some think before they hurt and some don't? I believe though all of us are made up of the same elements and are a part of the same energy, our karma decides which aspects of our emotions should lead and which ones should take a back seat...end of the day if one's actions and interactions allow them to be at peace with self and surroundings so be it! Because this chosen life is a reflection of one's past experiences with the universe. Can we really judge a person by what we see and hear from....there is an idiom in kannada 'nodiddu sullaga bahudu, kelliddu sullaga bahudu, nidanisi yochisidaga nijavu tillivudu' .... 'Your eyes and ears just by themselves may fail you, but when you understand a whole situation calmly you realise the truth'....all of us want to believe we are great, we are the best, the thought of someone applauding us is a heady feeling.... But should that happen by demeaning, misquoting another person and glorifying self? Criticise, express displeasure about issues you do not agree with, but casting aspersions on a person's character, profession, commitment to a cause.... how do we justify that? I was listening to Major Gogoi talk about the most publicised incident of tying a man in front of the jeep to ward away stone pelters and it hurts so much to think people like him who have put the country above their own lives need to give us explanations, while some of us choose to endanger lives and careers of people by our thoughtless banter....a politician talks nonsense about our army chief, another politician sheds crocodile tears for publicity,some people call a 'tall' statesman who has only the best interest of the country in mind as a 'narcissist'... We are all such silent spectators to everything...... Sometimes when unfair criticism or character assassination by unconnected people hurts I always think about all such great people who undeterred by such negativity go on to do what they believe in.... Simply celebrating the goodness of their existence.... 'Primum non nocere'.... A phrase I have always been fascinated with...which we discovered as medical students.... In Latin meaning 'First, do no harm'.. Also termed as Non-maleficence....a mantra that I have chosen to be my life's motto.... #primumnonnocere #haters #bodyshamers #narcissist #politician #statesman
