Been feeling low recently. So I drew feelings and also Miles in his Primex shirt. He likes kaiju.

Another night, more throwing up for unknown reasons. I mean, it can’t be the cancer meds because I’m on my break week. I’m frustrated. I wish they could figure out what was causing this to happen. Maybe I wasn’t hydrated enough- apologies for the TMI, but it was a thick, heavy vomit. And all I had today was a piece of banana bread and rice for dinner. Before dinner, I even said to my Mom-Mom, I’m not hungry but I know I need to eat. I can’t even retake my maintenance meds which makes me nervous for how tomorrow will be. Will I have withdrawal from my antidepressant? Will I have GERD symptoms because my pantoprazole is now in the plumbing? Will my anxiety be high because my clonazepam also went down the toilet? Ughh… just so frustrating.

Aside from that- my Mom-Mom and I took a fun trip to Primex today. She bought two flats of Begonias, Tomato plants and some other items we thought were interesting, and of course Geraniums. I bought two little babies - a calathea and a nerve plant. I also bought a basket of Begonias to put in our wooden basket out front. We also purchased some pots for me to repot some of our indoor plants.

Afterward, I went to Starbucks and was able to make it to Jackson’s T-Ball game. He’s such a little ham. His attention span gets the best of him, but it’s cute to watch him hit and run the bases. I also had more good conversation with Alex. I saw a friend (Maureen) from high school and she gave me such a nice hug. It was great to see her. I also saw our neighbors daughter, Carly, who has been in my corner (and it’s so appreciated). It was nice to spend some time outside with my family.

I got home and gathered the trash together to place at the curb. And I don’t know where it came from but I had some motivation to finally go through my yarn. I had 3 donation bags, 2 for trash and a minimal amount for me to sort and organize for myself. I was so proud I even texted my therapist! We’ve been working on my efforts to organize and clean my space. This was my 2nd big win in that area.

Now, I’m laying in bed, trying to ignore the still present nausea. I don’t think there’s anything left to come up though. And of course this is happening when I’m supposed to drive to CT Saturday.

I think I just need to put on a calming sound and try to let waves or bowl singing drown out my physical feelings.

Just wasted my whole morning trying to get the bloodwork done for my oncologist. Let's review this fuckery:

Last Friday: Referral for follow-up arrived in mail. I got home too late to call, so had to wait until Monday.

Monday: Called only to be told my appt was already scheduled for Friday. Fine, it's telehealth, I can take it at work.

Tuesday: Got a call saying I needed to get bloodwork done before my appt or it will be canceled. They sent me the order so I could print it, showing that this order was made 3 months ago, so they had plenty of time to tell me.

Wednesday: Woke up at 6am to spend 2hrs hunkered down at Quest Diagnostics only for them to say they don't take my insurance, even though my last labs were through them. They sent me to Labcorp, who also don't take my insurance. They sent me to Primex, who also don't take it but point out that my order specifically says Quest. I explained the situation and they were frustrated on my behalf.

Got home to a call from oncology. They looked into it and the only place that takes my insurance is far away in the city. I explained, for the millionth time as I do to every doctor, that these far appts are really hard for me because I'm disabled. They told me to try at my primary, but I doubt they can fill this order. I'll try, but they said in the meantime they're going to try to order a home health visit so a nurse can come to me and draw my blood.

My followup is rescheduled in 3 weeks, assuming the home health visit gets approved in time.

I've been dealing with a fever and flare all week and will now decompress with substances lol bye
