like i get that recognizing AI pictures isn't always easy especially as the technology changes and 'fixes' what we usually consider telltales but some people don't even fucking try

and i cannot stress enough how badly you NEED to learn to do it

#it should be enough to know how to tell AI pics from genuine ones for the sake of like. supporting real artists #but also so you can recognize deepfakes ! so you can spot propaganda ! so when someone Or The Government #presents a picture or video as 'evidence' of some phenomenon they'd benefit from you believing in #you can fucking spot it !#we don't know what the future has in store #and Now is the best moment to learn to recognize this shit #i'm not saying scrutinize every picture you come across with a fucking sherlock holmes looking glass #i'm saying spend just 3 seconds looking it over ESPECIALLY if you intend to share and spread it around
