Hello, hello, and happy TbTT to you. How do you go about choosing names for your characters? Is it hard for you to pick names?
Hi! Thank for the ask! Happy TbTT!
Character names:
Fantasy name generator.com. Life savor. Also the prelisted name options in the plays handbook. Or yelling about to myself quietly until I find one that fits and I like. Or just starting with the name and then everything else comes later. Like for Ash. I had her name, I just didn’t know anything else about her. But for Anstrannia/Anastasia, I don’t even remember. Originally she was named Anastrannia or Ana, for short, then I realized that she is the kind of person to alter her name slightly so it’d work for humans, and she would pick Anastasia.
WIP names:
Trial and error. A lot of it. For Frost & Fire, it was originally named A Girl, a Sword, and a Prophecy. That was back when Is tarted writing the very very first draft 0, before I knew anything about writing. Well I knew a little bit. But I don’t count that as a draft at all because of reasons such as it was terrible, the story was uh, very bad and half of it was me thinking that all fantasy stories had to have a massive romance and me trying to force two characters together when I didn’t know how to write romance. Then it was named Sacrifice, which was a shitty title and what it was called when I started this blog. And now it’s called Frost & Fire, which is much better and I stole from an older wip that I abandoned.
And for one of Copper, while I ranted about to for about 10 reblogs in the span of about an hour, asked a couple people for advice, and went through about 25 different title options before settling on One of Copper.
And for Angel’s Daughters, I’m not sure show I came up with it, but there’s a good chance I’ll end up changing it because the name kind of spoils the big plot twist at the end.

Čas je za četrto številko naše transspolne revije Transzine! Vabimo vse pišoče, rišoče in drugače ustvarjalne transspolne duše, da nam pošljete svoje eseje, kratke zgodbe, poezijo, ilustracije, stripe, fotografije, kolaže in vse druge obstojoče in neobstoječe formate in medije.
Še posebej si želimo prispevkov o osebnih izkušnjah s transspolnostjo in nasvetih za druge trans osebe. Rad⁞e bi slišal⁞e vaše trans zgodbe. Zanima nas, kaj bi svetoval⁞e sam⁞e sebi, če bi se lahko vrnil⁞e v preteklost in poklepetale z mlajšo različico samih sebe.
VODILA:
Format revije je A5, zato so nam najljubša dela v tem formatu in vertikalna dela.
Raje imamo vsebine v slovenščini kot v angleščini. Trans vsebin v angleščini je ogromno, s Transzinom pa se trudimo ustvarjati vsebine tudi za tiste, ki jim angleščina ni blizu. Kljub temu angleščina ni prepovedana, prav tako pa smo radovedn⁞e glede ostalih jezikov.
Ilustracije, slike, kolaži itd. naj bodo skenirani in ne fotografirani, saj fotografije niso dovolj kvalitetne za tisk.
Fotografije kot umetniški medij so nekaj drugega in si jih želimo več.
Najraje objavljamo dela, ki jih svet pred izidom številke še ni videl (vključno z instagramom). Seveda ohranite vse avtorske pravice, želimo si le, da so besedila in dela v zinu kar najbolj sveža.
Kljub temu smo pripravljen⁞e v določenih primerih sprejeti tudi dela, ki so bila že prej drugje objavljena. Prosim, da nam sporočite, če nam pošiljate takšen prispevek.
Nismo plah⁞e ali sramežlji⁞e. Če se bojiš, da je tvoje delo preveč nenavadno ali kontroverzno, nam ga prosim vseeno pošlji. Ne zanimajo nas prispevki, katerih sporočilo je “transspolnost obstaja”, želimo si novih in razburljivih vsebin! Če transspolnost ne bi obstajala, potem tudi Transzina ne bi bilo.
Ne objavljamo rasističnih in sekstičnih del ali del, ki so žaljiva do drugih marginaliziranih skupin.
