My beloved @redsixwing has found and resurrected a prime source of Gundam Wing lore that I was certain had been lost to the sands of time and internet domain obsoletion-- AboutGundamWing.com, thus saving my whole entire goddamn ass. Sixwing, I owe you my life. And my ass. And my ass's life.
I was devastated to discover that it had gone offline when I was compiling sources for this blog, forgetting in my despair that the WAYBACKMACHINE EXISTS to alleviate this very problem!!
AGW had the only source I've ever seen with three different script comparisons for the series. They put together the best and most comprehensive timeline of GW events (pre-Frozen Teardrop) I've seen yet (I'm delighted to discover that the authors had a similar view of classifying canon back in 2007 as myself). It's got a complete glossary of terms, characters, locations, and miscellaneous tech used throughout the series (something I deeply appreciate because I'm obsessed with taking screencaps of all that stuff for my own reference).
GOD WHAT A RELIEF TO SEE THIS SITE AGAIN.
AGW staff Preventer Void and Epyon, wherever you are, thank you for this incredible archive and all the hard work that was put into it. <3

The Post-Split Rant, Part 2
a.k.a.: Grown Adult somehow whines about Baby Cartoon for even longer
Part 1
BFB Post-Split is my least favorite season, so I’m gonna keep whinging on about it. As a reminder to all who bother to read this, this is my opinion. It is fine if you disagree with me about something, and you probably will. This is a good thing! Disagreement invites discussion, as long as all involved are willing to discuss.
Ok let’s just get right into it.
BFB 22
THE LEAFY PLUSH IS NOW AVAILABLE!!!!! I don’t have really anything to say about the ad intro other than it’s become a vocal stim for me. Moving on.
erm taco got out and she was my favortie character so this js the wrost epistioe
Ok, but seriously.
Overall, this is a pretty fun episode! “Court case” doesn’t really sound like it would make for that good of a challenge, but they make it work! A lot of funny moments all around. Jet-flying class is a top tier bit.
That being said, I have two VERY BIG ISSUES with this episode that keep it out of my favorites list. The second one I want to save for later (after BFB 24), so let’s talk about that first one.
This episode, and the resulting elimination segment in the following episode, is the biggest middle finger to Bubble Post-Split ever pulls. She is killed off very early into the challenge, and is not recovered until the next episode. I believe this is directly responsible for her elimination. Leafy gets her moment with Firey (more on that later), Lollipop and Gelatin form their Newbie Alliance, and Teardrop has some cute moments with the typewriter. Every Have Cotter gets to do something intriguing or endearing this episode, except for Bubble. She is, quite literally, written out of the show. It’s not even like she did nothing because she’s a boring character; Bubble is a very interesting character! She was just killed off. (Honestly reminds me of how in season 1 they were pretty obviously trying to get people to vote Ice Cube out near the end, only this time they didn’t have to resort to a contestant vote to do so.)
Like I said, we’ll get to that second issue in a bit.
BFB 23
One last one-two combo on Bubble for really no reason or payoff here. Pretty much nobody remembers she even died last episode, and her elimination is by far one of the most anticlimactic in the entire series. No drum roll or anything, and she barely even gets to say bye. Spongy, the character everyone always seems to point to when people talk about characters being mistreated by the writers (rightfully so imo), had a more impactful elimination.
This episode is just bland. Challenge-wise it’s the exact opposite of BFB 22; the premise for the challenge is really interesting (A jailbreak! That’s exciting!), but they execute it in probably the most boring way possible. One team spends the whole time jumping on boxing gloves, and the other basically has a repeat of BFB 21. The Flower and Purple Face stinger is the best part of the episode.
Just wanted to mention Flower here because I’ll probably forget to do this later; she’s actually written pretty well, by Post-Split standards. I’ve seen people say she wasn’t done well by Post-Split, but I honestly don’t really see it. Post continues her character quite cleanly from Pre-Split; she wants to make friends and make amends for her past behavior, while also still being a bit rude and off-putting. Don’t really see where the issue is here. (As for why she’s like this versus her BFDI/A self, we’ll probably have to wait for IDFB to pick back up.)
BFB 24
Unless something really dumb happens in BFB 28-30 that I’m forgetting (haven’t got there on my rewatch yet), this is probably the worst episode in all of Post-Split, and maybe even the whole series. I know this is the worst episode because it was the only one during my rewatch where I checked how much time was left, saw I still had half the episode to go, and audibly groaned. Nothing happens the entire challenge except for people shitting around and talking, and the overall payoff for most of the contestants not doing the challenges is like one and a half kinda funny jokes. We barely get to see any of them getting the supplies for their parties, or setting them up, or even anything related to the parties until it comes time to judge. The intro/Cake at Stake are so much more engaging than the actual challenge portion. The best part is the Flower and Leafy team-up and even then barely anything happens. Definitely up there with the likes of BFDI 16, BFDIA 1, and BFB 5 for the “real stinker challenge segment” award.
Purple Face becomes a mainstay here, so I guess I’ll comment on him. He’s whatever. He has some good bits, but overall feels like he doesn’t bring anything new to the table. Kinda unnecessary for what Post-Split goes for (or at least tries to go for).
I’ll be completely honest and say I completely forgot about this Gelatin-Teardrop “arc” before this rewatch. It kinda comes out of nowhere too; their moments of “conflict” are not brought up as such (not even any subtle insinuation) until this point. But hey, maybe if they expand on it, Post-Split could really have something intere—aaaaaand it’s over. The same episode this “arc” is established, it gets entirely resolved. Glad that that conflict totally got fleshed out and developed to its full potential. Yup.
Ok, I said we would talk about it after BFB 24, so here we go. My second main reason for making this rant:
I do not like how Post-Split resolved Firey and Leafy’s arc
If you’re gonna disagree with me on anything in this rant, it’ll probably be this.
Let’s start with BFB 22.
First off, bozo, she DID try to talk with you, you just slammed the (soundproof) door in her face before she could get a point across. Ok time to talk about the actual writing.
As a whole, this whole scene comes off as extremely biased towards Firey. Yes, Leafy never apologized for stealing Dream Island, but Firey never apologized for both excluding her for an extremely petty reason and for ignoring her in the years since. This SHOULD have been a mutual make-up between the two. Both apologize for their misdeeds towards the other, and both promise to do better with each other moving forward.
Instead, we this one-sided argument wherein Firey is given much more pity than Leafy by the show. He isn’t even all that remorseful about how he’s treated Leafy, he’s more distraught over potentially being eliminated for stealing the diary. And Leafy, of course, offers to throw the challenge to make sure he isn’t up for elimination. Ok. Sure. Maybe that is in Leafy’s character, to help save Firey from elimination when he’s done something the viewers won’t like; she is the super nice one after all.
Anyway here’s a completely unrelated screenshot from BFB 15. Just putting this here for no particular reason.
Episode ends with them being friends again, and Firey’s only punishment for stealing the diary is to clean the railway. Yippee.
Fast forward to BFB 24: Lollipop snarks in Leafy’s direction, and Leafy tells Firey she’s upset about him not standing up for her, as well as all the time he spent ignoring her. And Firey apologizes! Great!
THIS SHOULD NOT HAVE TAKEN 2 MORE EPISODES TO GET TO!!! THIS SHOULD HAVE BEEN IN BFB 22 WITH THE REST OF THE MAKE-UP SCENE (aside from the ferris wheel probably)!!!!! I can only imagine the crew realized how one-sided BFB 22 was to Firey, so they decide to shoehorn in this scene into BFB 24 to try and fix it. It doesn’t, and this moment feels so phoned in.
Overall, my main issue with how Post-Split handles this reconciliation is that it feels sloppy. It’s too biased towards one side, and they try and correct for that too little too late. It feels like rather than something they wanted to write, it was something they had to write, as they (correctly) predicted Firey didn’t have much more time in the game left, and if they didn’t do this now they wouldn’t get a chance to later.
Anyway, Firey gets eliminated so no more of this arc for a bit. Let’s move on.
BFB 25
Just want to mention it here, because this episode has a perfect example of it, but Four has definitely changed from Pre to Post-Split. Here Gelatin slaps Four, and instead of Four giving him a face full of zappies like Four most certainly would have in Pre-Split, Four just kinda insults him and then the episode moves on. I won’t really say whether this is a good or a bad change, but I will say I like Four much more in TPOT than in Post-Split.
SHUT UP SHUT UP SHUT UP SHUT UP
Meme-slop aside, this is a very whatever episode. More just walking and talking, you know how I feel about these already. I do like both the detail of how Flower’s vomit-repelling sweater was what was causing the vomit-filled totem to run away from her, as well as the fact this detail goes pretty much unspoken. Certainly a nice change of pace from the amount of over-explaining characters tend to do (COUGH COUGH LOLLIPOP COUGH).
The best part of the episode happens near the very end. You know what part I’m talking about.
i need her
BFB 26
It’s the Profily episode! I guess I’ll touch on them a bit. They’re a pretty funny joke character! I can’t decide whether it’s funnier for them to have been there all along and nobody noticed, or for them to straight up be lying about everything. This is a good thing. Past that though, they’re just ok. Some good bits here and there, but after this episode they just become another face in BFDI’s minor character menagerie with nothing to really set them apart.
Nothing really to complain about here. Fun episode! Lots of silly things, and nothing stays still for too long. This and BFB 20 really show how good Post-Split could have been, I think. I do prefer 20 a good bit more, but I’d rank this one above 22.
Time to ditch the Pillary Ruins.
BFB 27
The thumbnail is the worst thing about this episode. Just look at it. Why is there just an ugly chartreuse slab on the side. Why are the characters arranged so haphazardly. What even is this composition. It barely even fits with the rest of the Post-Split thumbnails. I hate it.
What gets me is that there was a scrapped thumbnail that looked a lot better! No clue why they switched it.
I do like the desert as a setting more than the Pillary Ruins, which might be an uncommon opinion idk. The ruins always felt too cluttered to be good default backdrops, so going to something simpler is nice.
Yeah I don’t have much to say about this one, another “whatever talky bluh bluh” episode, but this does have some more funny moments than others like it so there’s that. The Flower and TD montage was silly, and it seems like they kinda set Leafy up for elimination solely because they didn’t want her in the top 3 again. Nothing really much else to say.
Actually, come to think of it, this is the last “regular” challenge before the final all-in-one challenge. Maybe escaping the oven was a callback to BFDI 22’s escaping the volcano? If so, BFDI 22 did it better.
This seems like a good time to stop for now. They’re about to bring back all of the eliminated contestants, so I’ll be touching on both Taco and Firey/Leafy again in the next and final part of this rant. We’ll also get to the third main reason I’m making this rant: BFB 30.

hi! hope you're doing good :)
i love your work, especially bookstore boy, literally blushing and kicking my feet while reading it 🫶🏼🫶🏼
i wanted to make an armin request of a drabble, one shot or whatever you prefer ofc about reader getting hurt in a mission and left unconscious, when they wake up after a few hours the first thing they see is armin and they say something like "i knew you'd be here" because he's always taking care of reader and he goes like "i'll always be by your side”
sorry if it's too specific if you don't like it just ignore this Imao, also sorry cuz english in not my first language
Aw! I deeply appreciate your praise, thank you! And ty for your request, I hope you like how it turned out.
P.s. your English is really good, don't worry!
By Your Side
Oneshot / A. Arlert
Armin has always been there for you through thick and thin, even way back when you were just cadets.
Cws; fluff, light angst, mentions injuries, pre-est friendship

"Armin, you're wringing your hands again." Mikasa commented.
So he stopped immediately, and heaved a sigh. His eyes were like pools of blue, reflecting his inner worries at all who looked into them.
"Y/n's gonna be okay." She said, to try and help settling his knotting nerves.
Armin pursed his lips and looked over at you. It had been hours since they withdrew from the expedition, but your eyes were still tightly shut.
"I could have done more." Armin said regretfully, his voice full of cracks like a broken stone.
But what more could he have done?
"Armin, Y/n's here because you saved them. Don't be so hard on yourself, it was a difficult situation." Mikasa said.
Armin kept his worried eyes on you. Meanwhile, your chest was peacefully rising and falling, your mind at bliss in a long dream.
"I'm gonna go check on Eren." Mikasa sighed, "Will you preoccupy yourself? Don't just sit here and fret until she wakes up."
"I'll be fine." Armin said curtly.
Mikasa gave him a long look, and then drew her gaze to you. A thought drifted across her mind; what if Armin hadn't been there in time to save you? Would you be gone?
She left the room and let the door gently come to a close. Armin remained sitting by your side, looking over your features with his brows tensed together.
The sight of your ailments upset him so much that he wished he could heal you with all the energy in his body. Or better yet, take you away from this cruel world to an idyllic refuge, where he could enjoy every passing day with you.
The idea of growing old with you, settled in a charming cottage out in the countryside, brought tears to his eyes. They welled up like they had surfaced from a deep place within him.
Just before his first teardrop fell, you stirred awake. Ah, your friendship really had a thing for perfect timing, didn't it?
The first thing you felt, surprisingly, was not the dull throb of your ailments, but Armin's presence. Even before opening your eyes, you knew he was sitting right by your side.
Your eyes felt like a microscope struggling to bring the image of reality into focus. They were tightly creased from both the pain and bleariness of waking up.
Then Armin's soft voice broke the silence. At first, he sounded far away, but slowly, with each syllable, his voice came closer to you.
"Y/n? Can you hear me? No, no, don't get up, stay right there, you're wounded."
You tried to raise your body, but he pressed two palms against your shoulders and made you lay back. His warmth felt comforting.
His voice soothed your uneasiness, "Don't worry, you're safe. Everyone is safe; we're back at camp."
You cleared your throat a few times, and let out a cough when you tried to speak. So Armin hurried a glass of water to you.
"Drink this." He instructed softly.
You took a few small sips, and felt your throat clear.
"Are you injured, too?" Were the first words you spoke.
Armin's heart fluttered happily at the sound of your voice. You were just fine.
"I've just got minor ailments — I'm okay, really. You've got it the worst." He sighed, "I'm sorry... I should have been quicker." He looked at you regretfully.
"What exactly happened?" You asked.
Armin took in a quick breath, and used that same breath to tell you everything.
" — and, well, when the buildings nearby collapsed, I think something hit your head because you went down like a dying spark. I was so worried — I!" Armin got choked up, "I barely made it in time to get you out of that mess before everything caved in."
Armin looked severe with regret, his brows were completely pinched together; lines formed between them, reminding you of the Commander. His likeness to Erwin grows by the day.
"Of course..." You said, your lips curling into a soft smile, "It makes sense that you'd be here, you're always at my side." You laughed.
Armin tensed his shoulders together and looked at you like a puppy. Your laugh had the power to dispel the worry from his brows, but at the same time it broke the dam within him and tears burst from his eyes.
He lunged to hug you as tight as he could without hurting your aching body. You felt all his warmth and affection rush over you like the tide of the sea.
"I — I promise, I'll always be right here, at your side." He muttered into your hair.
You felt a wet droplet patter onto your neck.
"I promise!" Armin choked out, embracing you tighter.
You took in his scent, and let his tender touch soothe your soul. So many memories flashed by in the back of your mind, spanning back as far as your cadet days with Armin.
The both of you were just kids then. But even though you and Armin had reached adulthood, at times like these, when he embraces you so tenderly, it feels like you're still the same two kids who blushed at each other in the canteen.
"Sorry... ahah, sorry for being... a bit dramatic." Armin laughed through his tears, pulling away after crying on your shoulder for some time.
"Don't say sorry." You smiled at him.
"Well, then what do I say?" He smiled lopsidedly, and rubbed the sorrows out of his eyes and face with his hands.
"Anything but sorry." You said.
Armin sniffled and looked at you.
"Then I'll say thank you."
You tilted your head at him, "That confuses me more than your apology!"
He laughed and, oh, that laugh really reminded you of the days gone by.
"Well — I — I meant, thank you for being here for me."
"Oh Armin, silly!" You laughed, "I should be thanking you! You've been caring for me since we were cadets."
"Ahah — have I?" He spoke humbly.
"You have! Remember way back when we were first training, you were the one who nursed my wounds after I fell out of the air - mind you, you took your sweet time." Armin tearily laughed as you reminisced, "And when we were accepted onto Levi's squad, do you remember how you braved Levi and stood up for me when he reprimanded me for - for whatever it was - I still remember that!"
"That all feels like it happened forever ago..." Armin said.
"It does." You nodded.
"I guess, yeah, you're right, I've always fussed over you." He admitted, and grew a bit red in the face.
"You have! And, so, I should be the one thanking you, not the other way 'round."
Armin rolled his eyes — ah, when was the last time he did that?
"I guess so... well, then. Go on. Appreciate me." He teased playfully.
You looked into his eyes. The urge to kiss him flashed across your body, but you refrained. Oh, if only you knew that Armin's been refraining from kissing you since day one.
"Thank you, Armin."

hi hello cool person!!! would you uconsider telling me about a certain old crossover au you made a while ago or no /nfta!! :3
by the way, im referring to the wof and dr thh au with tumbleweed and flurry!!!
OH OF COURSE! :) disclaimer i haven't thought about it in a while so i'm not sure i have much to say but i do have some things in the back of my mind for concepts all all that!
tumbleweed only has a little venom in his tail. a strike from it to the head or chest would be enough to kill another dragon due to proximity to the brain, lungs, or heart but for nearly anywhere else it won't have enough to be fatal. it would still hurt, of course. he's not one for fighting unless its for defense so you don't need to worry about him too much
i've implied it before but flurry is part nightwing from her mother. the nightwing parts are very subtle, only showing in the teardrop scales by her eyes and some shimmering scales on her wings, which are mostly hidden due to her wing colour. due to her parentage, she was set to be cast to the seventh circle but once her grandfather (who was in the first circle) found out she could read minds, she was determined to be too useful to outcast, she was allowed to stay in the second circle for now (until her ranking day comes). who knows what the outcome of that would been, since she left the ice kingdom just before then.
(I know since I have this set in the pre-defined wof universe, a modern nightwing/icewing hybrid is a bit farfetched but just roll with me on this)
flurry would often be taken on missions by her grandfather when it came to tribe affairs due to her ability to read minds proving useful to get plans of other royalty such as planned attacks and other insider information that prove useful while in war. this also including spying missions.
flurry's burn scars come from a firescales skywing (for all fans of kyoko's backstory, this is yui! haven't thought of a name for her yet) and trying to save her from falling to her death. the two of them had gotten into a fight with another dragon (right now my concept is that it was an animus/a dragon who had access to darkstalker's scroll instead of chameleon) and it left the skywing incapable of flight. Before the enemy dragon and the skywing fall off a rocky mountain, flurry grabs the skywing's talons in hers, ignoring the burns it causes. not wanting flurry to get hurt to save her (and to defeat the attacking dragon that's also about to fall down with her), she purposefully lets go. That was not a fun day.
On a lighter note: tumbleweed's thoughts go about a mile a minute, and while the two of the work to find his sister, she has to here all of them. At first she detested the lack of silence, but soon came to find them welcoming and comforting as more of his personality shone through them
i hope that's a nice amount of thoughts! ever since i drew them i have since finished both the second arc and the darkstalker novel so I have more insight to the world! I am still interesting in reading arc 3 so when i do maybe I can add some of that lore into the au!

based on oldies music in the other room and it’s raining
thinking about sitting on the couch in the drawing room of Steve’s pre-war and restored new york apartment in front of the fire place. you’ve been trying to read for some political philosophy class you’re taking this semester, but there’s a dull ache in your chest at the fault of nothing in particular.
as you zone out staring at the fire, you can hear Steve, Bucky, and Sam laughing in the next room over every now and then, along with Natasha and Wanda - the loves in your life. you hear their feet shuffling and old music playing from the 30s and 40s.
still zoned out, Bucky comes in with a small smile on his face. he sits on the couch next to you, which is what grabs your attention. “you don’t seem to be getting far with that reading.” you look at him with soft and sad eyes but you try to hide it. he can see right through you.
“it’s just not as interesting tonight.” his eyes squint slightly at your non-answer. “you should take a break. you’ve been in here for a while.”
right as you go to reject the offer, Natasha and Wanda joyfully enter the doorway. they glow in your eyes.
“come back, James. Sam has two left feet,” Natasha says with a smug grin.
“duty calls,” Bucky says to you before standing with a pat to your knee.
“join us, детка!” Natasha calls as she pulls Bucky back in the other room. the nickname of her first language never fails to bring butterflies to your belly.
Wanda moves into the room closer to you. you watch her with doe eyes as she gently takes the book from your lap and moves it to the side table, saving your place with the ribbon. she sits on the coffee table in front of you and holds one of your hands in hers.
“Steve and Bucky are teaching us to dance like they did before the war,” she tells you softly. she’s lovingly running her fingers over the back of your hand. “Natasha is excelling, but I’m sure you could’ve guessed that.” a small smile graces your face at this, and Wanda smiles back at you. she leans in and you close your eyes as you feel her lips meet your forehead. one of her hands comes up to to your cheek as she holds your face and your eyes meet hers again. “come dance with us, darling.” she whispers it, like a secret invitation only meant for lovers. “let me lift your spirits.”
you lean into her hand and close your eyes again, this time two heavy teardrops roll down your cheeks, but Wanda wastes no time swiping them away with her thumbs. “come on, любовь. I just know Natty will let you stand on her feet. We’ll catch you if you fall.”
you consider it for a second before silently nodding, and she smiles as she helps you up from the couch. she lets you walk ahead of her and you tightly grasp her hand again. entering the main room, you see Natasha’s head thrown back with a laugh as Steve leads her in a dance, and Bucky and Sam sitting on the couch laughing with them. you can only imagine Bucky and Sam were bickering about dancing with each other when Wanda was with you and Natasha danced with Steve.
when the pair turns, Natasha sees you and Wanda, and she somehow smiles even wider. it’s rare you see her so happy and relaxed; it makes you smile honestly for the first time all night.
“my princess has arrived to the ball,” Natasha smirks as she leaves Steve’s arms. she leans slightly over your right shoulder and shares a loving kiss with Wanda, right before the Sokovian releases your hand and replaces Natasha’s previous position with Steve. you watch Wanda and Steve for a moment before Natasha grabs your attention by pushing a strand of hair behind your ear. “come, my love. i’ll teach you, just follow my lead.” she says this softly, just as Wanda had earlier to you - a secret invitation only meant for lovers.
one of her hands takes yours as the other is gently placed on your waist. you stumble a little at first with a blush rising to your cheeks, but soon the two of you are gracing the room rhythmically alongside Steve and Wanda. you comfortably lean your head on Natasha’s shoulder, closing your eyes and inhaling the familiar scent of her perfume and soap.
a few moments pass before you feel another person swaying along to the music from behind you with their hands on your waist. the sweet humming you begin to hear tells you it’s Wanda. she presses a kiss to your shoulder as Natasha does the same to the top of your head.
the dull ache in your chest is not entirely gone, but you know for sure that, as long as you’re in Natasha and Wanda’s arms, the sadness in your body will easily be forgotten. your friends’ laughs buzz in the atomosphere, there’s a content look on your face; and you know you have found the peace within the people.

4. What to Consider When Buying a Travel Trailer
Before purchasing a travel trailer in Sacramento, CA, there are several factors to consider:
Budget: Determine your budget before you start shopping. Travel trailers can range from affordable, entry-level models to high-end luxury units.
Towing Capacity: Ensure your vehicle can safely tow the travel trailer you choose. Check the weight and towing capacity of both the trailer and your vehicle.
Floor Plan: Think about how you'll use the space. Do you need a large kitchen? Extra sleeping areas? Consider your priorities and choose a floor plan that meets your needs.
New vs. Used: Buying new offers the latest features and a manufacturer's warranty, while purchasing a used trailer can save money. Be sure to inspect used trailers carefully for any signs of wear or damage.
Dealer Reputation: Research the dealership's reputation, including customer reviews and ratings. A reputable dealer will provide transparent pricing, good customer service, and after-sale support.
5. Tips for First-Time Buyers
If you're new to RVing, here are some tips to help you make the right decision:
Start Small: If you're unsure about your needs, consider starting with a smaller, less expensive travel trailer. You can always upgrade later.
Attend RV Shows: RV shows offer a great opportunity to see multiple models in one place, compare features, and talk to experts.
Take a Test Drive: If possible, rent a travel trailer before buying to get a feel for towing, setting up, and living in one.
Consider Storage: Make sure you have a place to store your travel trailer when it's not in use. Some HOAs have restrictions on parking RVs at home.
Conclusion
Owning a travel trailer opens up a world of adventure, allowing you to explore Sacramento, CA, and beyond at your own pace. With a wide variety of travel trailers for sale in the area, there's something to suit every traveler's needs and budget.
