--------------- it had never happened before. well, it had. many times. but never in front of them. never in their face. only in the past, when he was with... him. for a moment, there was silence. pure quiet. the piercing scream that erupted from the depths of ivor's lungs slashed apart the interaction and left it there, bleeding to death. it didn't even hit him that he let himself go until he saw ellegaard's face. he had never seen her like this before. horrified. shocked. unaware of the demons that the alchemist had just freed from the angered and exhausted depths within.

--------------- hands are pushed together. sharp nails tap their tips. immediately, the man turns. a pivot of the boot, and his behind is toward the woman. he hadn't told her yet, but there is this closeness he had with her. a certain feeling of cherished warmth. her intelligence was remarkable, and her willingness to listen to him ramble on was so touching and rejuvenating. simply put, ivor had fallen head over heels for her. but, he knew better than to ever say that out loud. letting any semblance of emotions outward never resulted in anything positive. at least, that's what he was told... from him.

--------------- " sorry, ellie, i... normally don't let myself get that carried away. " it took him a total of five seconds. just five seconds. but the blood from the slashing scream had pooled so heavy that the now thickness of the room made it last forever. as the now quiet, vulnerable words drift out, he turns back. ivor is praying to the gods that the others didn't hear him from below. " i suppose sometimes i don't really know how to deal with my emotions. "

--------------- it's a part of the alchemist she has never seen. dreadfully uncomfortable, the tall and slender man is fidgeting about. fingers are tapping together, feet are squirming and shuffling beneath the robes. eyes are looking from side to side to try and brew up some sort of explanation. his heart is racing. his knees are bending; the sounds of clinking bottles in his inventory are helping him keep calm.

--------------- " you could say that i was never taught to express myself. " eyes are now back on the woman, after he had found the correct words. " you see, before the order and before me, there was a very advanced brewer home to a village far away from my homelands. i left my family at a very young age to seek his knowledge, but... it wasn't only fine alchemy that i was enlightened with. "

--------------- and just like that, the man is uncomfortable again. he tries to get closer to ellegaard. maybe, perhaps, her presence would calm him. it always did before. it's instinctual at this point, to want to observe and be near. but realistically, it's all subconscious. on the outside, it isn't helping. soft clicks of his boots as he grows closer.

--------------- " it was always when we had to acquire resources from animals. rabbits, turtles. " arms are gesturing to try and find some semblance of relief from this discomfort. normally ivor is already an expressive man; those feelings must get out somehow. but now, as open as he's being, it's thrice the amount of expression than he would ever share. " i couldn't ever stop... grieving for their lives! i wished it never had to be that way! and my mentor would punish me for it.

--------------- " 'you want to surpass me? then stop caring!' " voice deep and grumbly, low with a tinge of growling to it. an impression. ivor looked away again, back turning from the woman. " 'you can never have any expertise if you keep crying like that! if you keep feeling...' "

--------------- the voice trails off. and ivor is left there, staring at the map they had made, trying his best not to cry.

this rlly took me all damn day so i know like 90% of people are asleep but here’s my SPOOKY THREAD PLOTTING/STARTER CALL. i have some new spooky muses and some of my usual ones, plus canons and ones with new verses i’d love to try out. i also have a list of verses to give us some ideas/options. like this and i’ll come to you!

dahlia dread, 23, witch, mia goth fc / witch who sells goods to those who ask and raises the dead for a hefty price, occasionally. generally a lot nicer than she looks. 

desmond gouley, 33, straight, adam driver fc / lives on and helps to maintain a graveyard. a spooky guy looking for his soulmate in life. 

edgar huang, age unknown, straight, lewis tan fc / a vampire who was once cruel who was experimented on by humans and developed an aversion to feeding on them.

carolyn newman, 23 forever, bi, alice englert fc / ghost from the 1950s, nurse, killed by a male patient and now she haunts the hospital and occasionally murders evil men.

heather hamilton, 19, bi, sarah michelle gellar fc / fights for control over her body with the demon that also inhabits her. is usually pretty chill, but the demon is pretty murderous and/or h*rny. (character is only played in 90s verse and with gifs of sarah from btvs)

atlas james, age unknown, straight, tommy martinez fc / cult member/recruiter, seeking out a soulmate to join him in the children of james, will assist in murdering a bf or two to do so. 

allison ‘allie’ flynn, 18-38, lesbian, kiersey clemons/tessa thompson fc / inspired by richie tozier - can be played in a verse where she and her friends are currently dealing with the demon in their town or 20 years later when they come back to deal with it for good. dumbass gay but in the closet comedian. 

holden pritchett, 32, straight, robert pattinson fc / half-demon conman preacher. there’s a lot to it, he knows. spends his time moving around the bible belt robbing people of their money.

minty thornwood, lili reinhart fc / not your usual final girl, mostly because she orchestrated the whole thing herself. can be played in the midst of her plan to basically murder a bunch of her friends (probably with a partner) or after the fact in college. 

gael espinoza, david castañeda fc / ghost hunter who... kinda doesn’t believe in ghosts, will take your money to figure out what it actually is but what if he’s wrong for once?

available verses

from dusk till dawn: from criminals to culebas to the underworld, the expanse of texas and mexico is sprawling with danger. careful not to make yourself into someone’s dinner. (set in the television show universe, pre s1 to post s3.)

woodsboro: woodsboro is a small town in the state of california known for the two brutal massacres both referred to as the ‘woodsboro massacre’ and the ‘second woodsboro massacre’ respectively. (this verse unless stated otherwise includes the content of all four scream films.

until dawn: set in the universe of the game or inspired by it. more tba.

camp grizzly: a once familiar and friendly camp changes locations one summer and finds themselves victim to a crazed killer stalking the woods, looking to murder the young camp counsellors in a vendetta for things done to them long ago. (can be supernatural or otherwise. threat/monster can also change.)

zombie apocalypse: depends on verse, can take inspiration from multiple pieces of media. other apocalypse verses also available.

halfway, oregon: what used to be a bustling small town seems to have been slowly losing its population since the seventies… whether by choice or other dubious means. people leave big, empty houses and buildings that the more brave of the teens in town explore. the only problem is, they also have a habit of finding weird places they’ve never seen before where strange things happen and that they can never seem to find after the fact. not to mention the unusually large population of goats across town that sometimes seem to know something the townsfolk don’t.

ARC ONE:  COLLEGE VERSE.

based on jo’s backstory from pre s1, she goes to college as per ellen’s wish, but ends up turning to her hunting ways once again when students start disappearing in mysterious circumstances.  

ARC TWO:  SEASON 2.

based on 2x02, now working as bartender in her mother’s roadhouse, jo has put aside college and decided to make enough buck to leave home and finally become an hunter.  when the winchesters show up at the roadhouse, jo realizes they’re pretty much her ticket to get out of nebraska and finally do what she was meant to.

ARCH THREE:  SEASON 3 TO 5.

jo continues working as a hunter, keeping in contact with her mother but decides to process her grief over the roadhouse alone.  through the years she’s made a name for herself in the business  —  one jo is sure her dad would be proud of  —  and sometimes assists bobby or the winchesters with their cases.  eventually jo and her mother meet again upon receiving a call of help from rufus.  on their way they reunite with the winchesters and decide to join their mission in taking down lucifer.  jo dies for the cause, her mother alongside.

ARC FOUR:  SEASON 7 TO 12.

based on 7x04, jo is resurrected and brought to earth to testify against dean during osiris’ trial set to judge and condemn the eldest winchester.  tasked with killing dean, jo ends up having a conversation and a final goodbye, but as sam stabs the god with the ram’s horn, jo’s body and soul are stuck on earth, unable to being brought back.  now resurrected, jo’s trying to get used again to life while dealing with whatever menace is coming towards the winchesters’ way.   after the leviathans defeat, jo comes back to bobby’s house to find nothing but debris and destruction.  salvaging what’s left of his books and research, she decides to try once again to fullfill her mother’s wish and go to college. a year later, while investigating in kansas about a case mysteriously appeared in her folders, she reunites with her pre death teammates to help with the trials.  later, upon meeting jody mills, jo keeps in touch with the sheriff to check on alex and later on moves with them when claire is set on becoming a hunter as well.

ARC FIVE:  SEASON 13 TO 15.

based on glee & high school musical, depending on the muse jo is interacting with.  she’s a new student who moves across the country a lot due to his dad’s job.
