ever since the apocalypse had started, you had been safely situated behind alexandria’s walls. having been close family friends with deanne and her family, she had offered you refuge when you needed it. and you happily obliged. you had watched people come and go, yet alexandria always seemed to stay the same. so when a new group had come along, you were intrigued. and of course, that’s when you had laid your eyes on one of the hottest ‘dilfs’ you had ever seen.

rick grimes seemed to occupy your thoughts from there on out. he had been wary of you at first, but slowly started to warm up to you, finding your clueless, yet sassy attitude quite adorable. you were always quick to compliment him, or noticing if he had shaved that day. and when he had been given the title of constable, and you caught him in that outfit? boy, you were smitten.

you were currently relaxing on the porch of your house, a book in hand as you enjoyed the sunshine hitting your skin. you were in a pair of blue denim shorts ( that seemed to leave little to the imagination ) and a little white tank top. you enjoyed spending time outside; people watching was definitely a favourite past time of yours. especially when one of the newer members of the community would walk his route past your house.

laying your book flat on your stomach as you noticed rick making his way up your street, you watched as he waved at you, a smile on his lips as he headed towards you.

“mornin,” he nodded at you, leaning against one of the beams, arms crossed over his chest as his eyes trailed over your skin. he had noticed how you always seemed to have more skin showing than anyone else. it wasn’t very practical for the apocalypse to have shorts so short and a tank top like you did, but then again, he had never seen you leave the walls of the community, so he understood a little.

“ah, my favourite dilf!” you chirped back at him, sitting up a little straighter in your chair with a smirk on your lips. ever since you had met him, you had always come up with silly little nicknames for him. dilf, daddy grimes, officer hottie— whatever seemed to come to your mind whenever you saw him. “shouldn’t you be out stopping crime?” you questioned, tilting your head to the side a little.

rick had taken a liking to you, which surprised him more than it surprised yourself. he was always weary with new people, but there was something about you that just made his head spin. he tried to ignore his thoughts though, because you were much younger than him, and he didn’t want to be labelled as a creep.

he chuckled at your words, shaking his head. “not much crime around here to stop.” he chuckled, reaching up to rub his hand over his, now short, beard. “unless we’re talkin’ about those shorts. should be a crime to wear somethin’ so tiny.” he motioned to your legs, raising an eyebrow.

you scoffed, shaking your head as you looked him up and down. “it should be a crime for you to look so good in that uniform,” you retorted, crossing your arms over your chest as you looked up at him. “as for my shorts— there is nothing wrong with them.”

“you’re gonna get your leg bitten off by a walker.”

“yeah, yeah. whatever you say, fashion police.” you rolled your eyes at him, waving him off. “i’d have to leave the gates to get my leg bitten off by a walker.”

he shook his head with a smile on his lips, turning to make his way back down the steps, heading towards the sidewalk.

you called out to him before he could walk off, standing up and moving towards the railing of your porch as you leaned against it. rick turned towards you, hands on his hips as he looked up at you curiously.

“don’t forget to save those handcuffs for later, sir.” you teased, a smirk on your lips as you watched his cheeks go red before he shook his head, walking away with a smile on his lips.

This episode was very obviously written to recall Series V and since I adore that series, I appreciate it.  Scary Asclepius, adorable Snacky, time travel shenanigans and a twist which puts the opening scene in a whole new light.  Love it.

There was a lot riding on this episode as the Series X opener, given it was the first regular-length episode for 13 years and needed to consolidate the Dave era after the ratings success of “Back To Earth”.  “BTE”’s format-breaking had worked as a one-off but both fans and those involved with the show wanted a return to half-hour eps in front of a live audience.  (Which I was in.  Amazing.)

Which was exactly what they got and it works so well, reintroducing us to these characters and showing us how bonded they’ve become as the crew agree to a silly charade to help Rimmer fool his visiting brother.

Ah, Howard.  Props to Mark Dexter for giving such a good guest performance that I really wish he could return for an encore.  Everything about him makes sense as Rimmer’s older brother and it’s just so much fun to finally properly meet one of Rimmer’s awful family and have them interact with our crew.

All this plus the moose joke and our Boyz in snug Star Trek style jumpsuits.

okay real thoughts time I seriously joined hockey fandom RIGHT at the tail end of his time with the Flyers -- like, I started regularly watching in Januaryish 2022, he was traded to Florida in March 2022. Looking at the Leafs' schedule and from my own memory, I have never watched a Flyers game with Giroux in it. To me they are still intrinsically linked, but it might as well be the Bossy Islanders?? Like it's well established as part of The Myth that claude played exactly 1000 games as a flyer and was Theee flyer and all of that but like. To me he isn't a Flyer, he's an ex-Flyer.

THAT BEING SAID his weird and brief time in Florida also never felt right? Maybe because it was the pre-Tkachuk trade Panthers and that era of them was strange and different and empty but like. Jumbo Joe and Claude Giroux were both Panthers at the same time. Now that he's a Senator, though, he feels... well, he doesn't feel like he was always supposed to be a Sen because he's an ex-Flyer and somehow will always be an ex-Flyer before he is a current Sen or Panther or whatever, but it feels more correct somehow.

I think he's really interesting mythologically. I think there's something to be said about existing after the disaster. I had a moderately popular post a little while back about how he's kind of the Obi-Wan Kenobi of hockey, which was horrifically cheesy and also a lot because he kind of looks like a sexy hockey-er Ewan McGregor but also because they're both kind of destined for infinite sadness, an old man in exile while chosen ones elsewhere succeed. There is this kind of great tragedy to Giroux, without a single moment that really defines it.

I also think he's a really neat character? Like he's constantly described as some sort of trickster type, always with some kind of strange Bit going on. Calling people pigeons and biting Gudbrandson's jersey and the affinity for grilled cheeses. There's this one really great photo (aka screenshot of a broadcast) of him and Wayne Simmonds in the penalty box, and Simmer's jawing and leaning towards someone off-camera and Claude's just holding him by the jersey with the most gleeful shit-eating grin on his face. Hell fucking yeah.

ANNOUNCEMENT FOR THE BLACK CHRISTMAS FANDOM

Hello everyone who's been following my writing and art and OC's!! Your support has warmed my heart, and got me through some thought times. Thank you very much for sticking by me, commenting, sending me kudos and asks regarding Dilf Billy and my oc-verse I made around him!

However... I have come to realize I have made Billy, at least the older 45-50 year old version of him my own. Very much my own. I think there's a discrepancy between my characterization of him, and how he is portrayed in the movie/novel/commentary. Another thing is that I love him too much. I want to make him my own, not an interpretation of a pre-existing character...

So that's exactly what I am going to do! I'm taking him and making him an OC. Currently I am in the process if changing up his backstory to make him distinct from Billy Lenz, though the Dilf version we see in Rats in the shadows and partially in So give me coffee and tv will stay similar.

My goal is to create a group of ocs consisting of the character formerly known as Billy, Camille, Bean and other side characters who will exist in a story about an ex serial killer father. I'm still early in the rework, but I feel like I don't have change too much.

What this means I will effectively be distancing myself at least partially from the Black Christmas fandom, at least in terms of my content creation though these past few months I have been in a rut given college preoccupying most of my time. I still love Black Christmas, it will remain one of my favorite movies forever. I cherish the friends I made and the experiences I had, but I want to move on to more original creations, uninhibited by primary existing source materials.

I will still interact with fan works in terms of reblogging art and writing , and I will most likely draw more of Billy Lenz and the other characters from the movie in the future. Anything regarding Camille, Bean, "dilf Billy" though, will be something divorced from Black Christmas, entirely its own thing, though obviously inspired by it.

Will I return to writing for Black Christmas? At this point I am uncertain. I have a WIP of a priest!au thing for Dilf Billy, which if I ever get around to finishing I would post under the pretense that it's a Black Christmas fanwork. However, I am not sure if I will finish it, given that I don't really have the time, and at the moment motivation to really work on it. Another story idea exists too, one which would better fit into the Black Christmas ethos with is very dark tone and heavy subject matter (while still remaining a smut work) which I would gladly have exist as a fanwork.... But once again I am lacking the time and want to do it. It would be a very big project, all things considered.

So what now? I will keep all my Billy Lenz/Dilf Billy content up on my blog, my AO3 will stay intact (though I will forward this announcement onto there), and I won't change my tags on Dilf Billy related posts. Moving forward, though, everything created for my oc inspired by Billy Lenz/Dilf Billy Lenz will be tagged as that. I need to come up with a new name for him first...

I will also make a post regarding how the plot of Rits/Sgmcatv would have went if I'd finished them, to give you guys some sort of conclusion. Though the new oc story with Bean, Camille and the new Billy oc in it will very closely follow Rits original storyline. Most of the events of Rits are canon still in regards to Camille's and Bean's backstory, with of course some caveats (no Brahms, Camille and "Billy" meet differently etc.). But the large majority of the plot points and story beats are the same.

I will be happy to answer any further questions, as my inbox is open. I'm sorry to disappoint anyone, but I've felt the need to move on, to elevate this story. I hope I can be forgiven. Now I bid farewell to this part of my life and creative era, and look forward to the new.

Denizens of Tumblr, specifically those who are following me for JJK fic, I'd like your valuable input. I'm on the final stretch of a long-ish fic, and the one I have in mind next, though not as long, is also going to be pretty intense. I plan to write a shorter palate cleanser in between. But I can't choose between four fics, and a coin-toss bracket seems a little too boring. So I figured I'd put up a poll instead.

It's been a hot minute since I've run polls related to fic, and even those were for what to post, not write. But I'm chomping at the bit to dig into all of these stories, so it should be fine. Yolo.

The premise of each fic, if any of you want to know more:

Amnesiac Yuuji: Canon divergence AU where the Shibuya Incident doesn't happen. Gojou helps Yuuji leave the country after he eats the 20th finger, and they keep in touch for nearly a year digitally. Yuuji abruptly vanishes before they're due to meet in person. Around 12 years later, Gojou runs into Yuuji, who's lost all memories and answers to both "Yuuji" and "Sukuna."

Pre-Shibuya Sad Sex: Yuuji trips into emotionally complicated sex with both Gojou and Nanami (no cheating, all parties involved know what's up) around the basement training era. It continues until the Shibuya Incident. This fixes nothing; it makes everything worse.

DILF Gojou: My take on what Gojou would be like as a dad (answer: traumatizing). Highschool freshman Megumi learns to regret introducing his best friend/crush to his (adoptive) father. Yuuji's his canon age, but Gojou's a decade older in this. Yes, I figured I'd make goyuu more problematic because why not?
