I made a character for the Hunter X Hunter universe to dream about before I fall asleep in the anime’s plot. It’s easier to put your character into an existing plot, rather than create a new one from a scratch. At least for light mindflow before sleep, interesting enough, and free of pressing thoughts.

Besides still trying to line. Although it’s not my way of drawing, I like it

3. Date Night

Due to their busy schedules, their date nights were casual - a drink in one hand, taking in the view of Hell's cityscape, while they chatted over a myriad of topics, long into the night.

Change your name. Approach me and say, hey, I changed my name, man. And I say? I say, “Cool, man, it’s your name.” When Muhammad Ali changed his name, people did not say, “Cool, man, it’s your name.” 

Hate. (Hate) Hate. (Hate) It’s there. In hearts. It’s the nutrition of some many interior lives. 

Imagine how often the then young man, only 22 then, was cursed at America’s little dinner tables by the big man of the family. Then, when the champion would fight all up-and-comers, every one, said, “Well, you can keep your Vietnam,” a panel of older men took his title and charged him with a crime, and kept him from his living for longer than four years. Then he storms back and wins the title again. And he keeps it. And keeps it. Loses it. Wins it back. Where there is hate in the hearts of some, here, in this man, there was a fight. And he fought, and fought, until that name, once cursed, became beloved. Muhammad. Ali.

He fought an era. And though he lost much, he won. We fight our eras, us.

my new near’s resolution in 2022 was to fill an entire sketchbook by the end of the year and I only managed to get about halfway through it but last night I took that same sketchbook to a figure drawing session and filled all the remaining pages by the end of the night. and it makes sense because with the nature of the session, you’re allowed (expected even) to make shitty art. the whole point is that it’s not supposed to be a perfect finished piece, it’s practice. especially the quick 1-2 minute gesture drawings. and with the longer poses, you don’t have to spend the whole time working on one drawing, you can start over and do multiple iterations using different techniques! and that’s something I struggle with so much when I’m drawing on my own in an unstructured environment. anyway I think it’s really cool that I got more practice and experience out of a single night than I did in an entire year because I allowed myself to not be perfect at it and I encourage you all to do the same
