lidelle thoughts bc I'm in a particularly sappy mood rn

i love her interactions in newer games!! from like, ppt onwards everyone is so nice to lidelle like one day they all said yk what? this kid's been through enough. from this day forth it is illegal to bully this child. love that for her

like how draco just like, adopts lidelle. some random kid showed up and started calling her big sister and draco's like. i wasn't in the market for a sibling but I'm not complaining

and it's even funnier bc she does the same thing to satan and he doesn't jive with it at all

raffina is usually a hard-nosed prissy bitch! but she's so gentle with lidelle! she's supportive and she engages with her interests and she feels so bad for hurting her when she had the marle curse and and aaaaahhhh have y'all seen that part of ppq's primp campaign where raffina is having a temper tantrum in the middle of the woods but immediately calms down when lidelle shows up and then apologizes for scaring her? because i think about that every day of my life

and in return lidelle looks up to raffina! she trusts her! she's so much more open with raffina than she is with everybody else! i'm so Normal about these two i promise. man i need to cut myself off before this whole post is just me word vomiting about raffidelle

anyhoo. i really think they should explore lidelle's idolization of amitie a little more in the future, bc i think they have a lot more in common than lidelle realizes (anxiety, mostly). and we need to see tartar again so that we can get the tartar and lidelle friendship scene we all deserve. bc I'm not even a tartar fan but lidelle just improves everything she touches

So I did a thing,, and that thing was spend several days making Puyo Puyo Tetris 2 characters into puyos. I definitely improved with time, so they’re not all the best, and I know they’re not universally sized, but I overall really like them. I think Satan is my favorite but I have to pat myself on the back a little about how good Lemres’ hat looks (especially because he was the first one I drew).

They’re fine to use for icons and whatever as long as you reblog and give me credit. I’ve made them into emotes on a personal discord and they look really good since they express a good range of emotions.

Something I kinda want to note is that Klug’s been possessed a LOT since fever 2, and he never remembers it.

Every single time, when he gets his body back (and comes to), he's disoriented and confused. This implies to me that when he's possessed, either (a) he's not actually aware of the world around him, or (b) he suppresses any and all memories of when he was sealed upon his return to his body. It's really hard to say which it is, since the Crimson Soul clearly can tell what's happening outside the tome (see: PPT chapter 9 when it gets riled up by Sig passing by; PPQ when it realizes Zero's flashlight released the seal; and Drama CD 2-1 when it shows up and immediately casts Hydrangea), but isn't always paying attention (PPQ when it's released accidentally by the runes in the Tome being stolen, and Heartbeat Horror Night when it's somehow released when Klug falls in the lake).

I'd also point at this bit from PPT2: In Lemres's side-story, he points out that the red power shielded both Sig and Klug from Marle's influence. When Amitie comes to the classroom, Sig says that his arm is "really noisy. Practically deafening", and Klug comments "...even my book has an odd feeling to it."

This makes me think that Sig's "red power" (we really don't have a name for him huh) and the Crimson Soul both got corrupted by Marle. It also implies to me that both of these things can communicate normally (to some extent)- they probably just don't very often. The "red power" seems to actually be able to communicate by talking to Sig, while the Crimson Soul seems to only be able to communicate via "feelings" normally (whether this is due to Klug not being related to it or due to the limitations of the Tome, who knows).

There's also this weird bit in PPQ when Klug is compelled (by what, we don't know) to steal 3 objects representing the sun, moon, and stars from his friends/classmates (note: the "how to unseal the demon" bit in the Tome specifies objects that represent the sun, moon, and stars). The Crimson Soul comments afterwards that these objects are definitely not powerful enough to undo the seal, but could it have been the Tome that compelled Klug? Maybe the Crimson Soul was just interested in the objects and wanted to study them, and Klug mistook those feelings for his own? Who knows!

Speculation time! I wonder- can Klug communicate to the Crimson Soul when he's sealed? I could see it requiring a certain amount of power to get past the seal, which Klug probably doesn't have. So I get the feeling Klug literally can't communicate with anyone when he's possessed; and if this is the case, I could see him making the assumption that the opposite is also true. While he knows the Tome contains the Crimson Soul, he probably hasn't realized all the feelings he gets "from his book" are actually from the Crimson Soul. (Also, Klug having to deal with "I have no mouth and I must scream" every single time he's possessed really lends itself to him suppressing any and all memories of the subsequent possessions.)

I really thought I had it all figured out in my last post, where I determined that Klug is still very much aware of the demon in his book, and that it has some sort of connection to Sig. I even thought it was safe to assume that he still remembered being possessed by it back in Fever 2, because it was the only time it happened where he wasn't confused afterwards.

But then that scene in Schezo's story happened and I have so many more questions. Because this really sounds like someone who doesn't even know that there's anything IN that book?? Which he very obviously does???

I'm not even talking about previous games at this point, because there's been weirder cases of amnesia in this series before; Klug repressing the knowledge he has of his book isn't a farfetched idea. But the problem with it is that this is the only scene (so far) where he's this clueless, and it happens later in the timeline than this one in Risukuma's story (if I've been tracking it right):

Klug's reactions here when Risukuma seems to be on the trail of What's Weird About the Book are absolutely about him wanting to keep Ayashii (whatever he remembers about it) a secret. I mean, would he really be that nervous if all he thought he was going to say was "it's got powerful magic inside of it"? He never really tries to hide that part, seeing as he casts spells with it.

It's even less obvious where in the timeline Accord's conversation with him happens, but he directly references "the tome" being ill at ease, once again suggesting that he at least sort of knows what its deal is. Plus, he says this to his teacher, so the idea that his book has feelings isn't even something he's

And lest we forget, he even gets in an argument with it off-screen. What's up with this "how can a book be fussy" nonsense?? He's not even saying it to cover up Ayashii's existence to other people, he's saying it to himself.

What changed? Is this just some accidental inconsistency, or should we be expecting a scene in a future update to explain it?? I'm losing my marbles over here
