THE RIBBON STORY IS GREAT most of it is Satan talking about Arle (and Feli being like “I don’t want love advice from you of all people”) but there is some really really cute LemFeli in there too (also Satan sets them up so Lemres can rescue Feli from him and it’s ADORABLE)

I’m not sure if there’s a proper translation of it out there? I might try my hand at it tomorrow if there isn’t one

(my Japanese is pretty rusty but translating spoken is easier than written imo)

I gotta add something here from one of the light novels (“Everyone’s Dreams, Coming True?!”)

These screencaps are from Primp Town Library

The basic synopsis is that a few specific people wind up with their dreams becoming “reality” thanks to some weird dream mist. Raffina’s one of the people who gets her dreams made real.

Chapter 4 has Amitie, Arle, and Ringo trying to talk sense into Raffina (if they admit they’re in a dream, things go back to normal, which is their goal).

And in the end, it’s Raffina’s perception of Klug (not the real Klug) that talks sense into her and snaps her out of it. This gives us a LOT of insight into how Raffina sees Klug.

In the final chapter/epilogue, they’re running around and seeing everyone who had these dreams, and while they don’t remember the dreams, they’re kinda influenced by them…

…it’s a great novel with some great character moments.

they're basically the dynamic of a nerd and a jock, physical and magical, COMPLETELY the opposite of each other but when they actually do work together i find it really weirdly cute? i haven't been in puyo content for a while so i can't give out all the scenes ranging from game cutscenes to cd dramas

BUT one thing that's consistent about them is that THEY CONSTANTLY CLING ON EACH OTHER due to their rivalry. usually in other medias characters with rivalry like these would get sick and want to end it or even get as serious as ending each other. but here they just stick together and... instead of cutting each other heads' off they only cat slap each other?

i'll just say they're like a magnet, opposite energy but still attract each other because of how perfect they cover up their weaknesses (this could also apply for why ppl ship klug x feli too)

and the fact they have matching alts likeee yooo?

I've thought WAY TOO MUCH about this

(although I don't really have ideas about the madou/OPP chars, so this is just the Primp and Suzuran crews)

- Amitie - golden retriever

Coloring matches her hair; also, they're known for being very friendly

- Sig - some kind of beetle (but notably, it's half red and half blue)

What does Sig like more than bugs? I think a horned beetle of some sort would fit him well. Also, there's both red and blue options...

- Raffina - orange tabby cat

Her Quest cat alt is an orange tabby (and it matches her white/yellow/orange coloring a lot). Female orange cats are rare, but they do exist. Also, she acts all aloof and regal... but is actually quite kind and nice.

- Klug - brown wolf

It's the most generic/average option for someone being turned into an animal (and he’s been mentioned to be very average in most aspects). Also, associations with the moon.

- Lidelle - rabbit (jackalope)

She's jumpy and nervous, and rabbits are kinda associated with grass and greenery? Also, jackalopes are horned rabbits, and are mythical creatures.

- Accord - blue jay

Blue jays are songbirds, and they're very pretty... but a lot of people don't really like them. Kinda matches with Accord being... suspicious.

- Lemres - fruit bat

They're really pretty harmless, but have a lot of bad associations that people make about bats. Also fruit is really sweet, and some cultures treat fruit as dessert.

- Feli - black crow

Crows are considered harbingers of doom, and they fit her goth aesthetic really well

- Ringo - red squirrel

I feel like squirrels match her high-energy nature pretty well. They usually eat nuts, but sometimes eat fruit and veggies, too

alternatively, cardinals (which are very red birds) are also songbirds.

- Maguro - bluefin tuna (maguro)

.....yeah.

- Ris - either human (if you think he's actually a squirrel-bear) or a squirrel-bear (if you think he's actually human in a fursuit)

My thoughts-

Red is angry, it would be really hard/firm (but still squishy)

Yellow is happy, so it’s probably kinda bouncy! You can bounce on it (if it’s a big one) but it’s comfy to lay on. Kinda like a mattress.

Green is clueless- I think it’d be pretty moderate in terms of squishiness.

Blue is sad, it would be SUPER squishy (like, all the stuffing goes to the sides)

Purple is… unimpressed? But the puzzle pop thing says it’s “lonely”, so… it should be tsundere. Like a certain purple nerd— so… it starts firm, then softens up to a nice squishiness.

Garbage is, well… garbage. I’d think it’s lumpy and not consistent in density. Hard garbage would literally just be a brick lol

Sun would be glow in the dark and bright and warm- like a heated pillow, but it glows a bit!

Chu puyo would be squishy and nice- maybe like those squishy stress ball things?

Then there’s the garbage markers- I think these would all be really hard (rock, star, moon, crown, comet)

…and I’m not going into all the other types lol

So I think yellow, green, and chu would be the comfiest.

Having a silly discussion with my sister and came up with a fun question about the puyos:

I don’t usually make New Year’s resolutions or anything, but… I wanna draw more next year. And post some sketches online.
