#DearSis You’re going through something, being accused of some stuff you didn’t do, lied on, name being drug through the mud, reputation in question and you feel the need to defend yourself. Every day you get up to prove your innocence. Baby, why don’t you let your lawyer who’s already on retainer do the work? Your lawyer, God, has never lost a case. I mean, what’s the sense of serving a God you won’t use when times get hard. What’s the sense of not utilizing a God who has the power and will defend your honor? Yes, I know it hurts to be turned and lied on by folk you thought you could trust, but when you try to do it on your own, you take the matter from God. Sis, worship. Why? The Power of Worship

The Lord Jesus Christ said to his disciples, "I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven; whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven." Matthew 16:19.

 Here at Shawmut community church, we have been discussing these keys of the kingdom of heaven, and the first key we looked at was the key of "Agreement". It is where we learned about what is agreement, how agreement is achieved, and the benefits of walking in agreement.

 We now move to the key of "Worship". Jesus said, "Yet a time is coming and has now come when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for they are the kind of worshipers the Father seeks. God is spirit, and his worshipers must worship in spirit and in truth." John 4:23-24 

 We will be discussing this very important key of the kingdom of heaven. We will learn: What is true worship? Who or what is to be worshipped? Why is worship so important in the life of the believer? Who benefits from worship?and The benefits of being a worshipper.

 Worship is the key that unlocks heaven's treasure chest and gives access to all of its treasures, and these are what helps people to experience the fullness of the kingdom of God. The devil knows the power of worship, and it's what he requested from Jesus above all things.

 Again, the devil took him to a very high mountain and showed him all the kingdoms of the world and their splendor.  "All this I will give you," he said, "if you will bow down and worship me." Jesus said to him, "Away from me, Satan! For it is written: 'Worship the Lord your God, and serve him only.'" Matthew 4:8-10.

 The same way that our enemy went after our Lord to get Him to worship him, it is the same way he will be after us to either worship him or prevent us from worshipping God.

 Come and join us on Sunday mornings at either the 8:00am or 11:00am worship celebrations, where we will learn about the power of this key God gave to His church.
