#DearSis You’re going through something, being accused of some stuff you didn’t do, lied on, name being drug through the mud, reputation in question and you feel the need to defend yourself. Every day you get up to prove your innocence. Baby, why don’t you let your lawyer who’s already on retainer do the work? Your lawyer, God, has never lost a case. I mean, what’s the sense of serving a God you won’t use when times get hard. What’s the sense of not utilizing a God who has the power and will defend your honor? Yes, I know it hurts to be turned and lied on by folk you thought you could trust, but when you try to do it on your own, you take the matter from God. Sis, worship. Why? #DearSis Sometimes the self-induced, sin-caused affliction that’s put us in opposition with God can make us forget there’s still hope. We sin, God’s anger rises against us and we forget His mercies are still new every morning and there’s still hope in Him. Sis, I don’t know what you’re doing or done, but there’s still hope. I don’t know what you’re going through or gone through, but there’s still hope. For the author of Lamentations, after penning all his suffering from Lamentations 3:1-18, says this starting at verse 19 “The thought of my suffering and homelessness is bitter beyond words. I will never forget this awful time, as I grieve over my loss. Yet I still dare to hope when I remember this: The faithful love of the Lord never ends! His mercies never cease. Great is his faithfulness; his mercies begin afresh each morning. I say to myself, “The Lord is my inheritance; therefore, I will hope in him!” There’s still hope sis. #DearSis There was a time I was ashamed to give God my yes. I knew He was calling me from my comfort zone and although I was tired, hurt, and struggling; giving God a yes was hard. I’d made a lot of mistakes, committed a lot of sins, and fell too many times to count. I was ashamed. Until I realized, God already knew my faults and my flaws. God knew everything and still found me worthy. I simply needed to get out of my way. I did. Now, I’m in a place of trusting God with everything. Even when I don’t understand, I trust God. Even when fear tries to come in, I trust God. And every day, I give Him me. Why? Because with my yes ... My marriage is different. My ministry is different. My writing is different. My gifts are different. My career is different. My life is different. MY YES SAVED ME 😭 Y’all, it may be hard. You may not understand. It may not be paying off, yet. It may not feel as if you’re progressing, yet. It may hurt and seem like your life won't get better. IT WILL! I’m a living witness and when you stop running from God, you’ll see it too. Those times they said you’d never amount to anything, didn’t come to pass.
