one of my favorite scene from this show is louis' photographic collection.

it's just so. heartbreaking and messy.

armand wants to make louis happy as much as he can, that he slip in photographs that were not taken by louis so other people can praise him. daniel wants louis to be appreciated for his hardwork that he ended up complimenting a picture that was not taken by louis. there's just something so lonely and poetic about that scene. it's like. louis is sorrounded by people who is willing to hear his voice, but after all these time? they still can't see him. they still dance around and dodge his vulnerability. still trying to keep him "safe". but like- it's not really a bad thing!!! they want to make him happy. but it just feel so alone in the sense that they tiptoe around him.

Mouthwashing fans have been going feral about the fact that their fandom is incredibly ableist towards Curly and they are now constantly going on and on about how so many fans overlook the 'deep premise' of the game when it comes to disability, ableism etc. do they really though?Mouthwashing doesn't actually say anything groundbreaking about disability and ableism, in fact it's literally depicting Curly's condition as the horror itself, as another disgusting element meant to provoke shock if not fear. And in the end, the game potrays being disabled for decades and decades as a horrifying curse or punishment beyond comprehension (referring to Curly being stuck alive for presumably 20 years after everyone had died) that "nobody should experience". People have genuinely been too blinded by the game's popularity and have convinced themselves that its premise is revolutionary and countercultural when it's really not.
